Hacks.

Style Hacks.

Hi guys, welcome to Style Hacks: The Packing Edition.

This time we've enlisted the help of a travel expert, Miss Lucy Laucht.

She's here to help us pack the perfect summer weekend bag.

Hi guys!

Yup, no over-packing on my watch.

It's all in the edit.

So in the summer collection, basically, everything goes with everything.

A million outfit options.

Which helps avoid this.

Let's do this!

We're going to use a Paravel suitcase, which collapses completely flat

and is made from lightweight and durable Italian fabric.

Here we went with whites, blues, and this fun postcard pattern.

Very travel-appropriate.

Pack pieces that do double-duty, like this reversible bikini, a button-up that can also

be a beach cover-up, and a dress that can go straight from the beach to evening.

These neutral sandals go with everything in your suitcase.

Dressy enough for any last-minute invitations.

This Signet bag can be worn cross-body, aka hands-free for things

like eating ice cream or riding a bike.

Always pack a statement earring.

They virtually take up no room, and instantly transform any outfit.

Remember: stripes go with everything.

Perfect for a plane, train, or car ride, your favorite denim and tennis shoes.

Whoa!

That's a lot of outfits

Yikes!

We crunched the numbers, and that's a permutation of over...

28 outfits!

Wow!

So after a trip across the U.S. in a Volkswagen camper van, 22 flights to 17 countries

in the past 6 months, I know a thing or two about how to pack.

It saves room and keeps wrinkles away.

And bonus: if you're packing with fabrics like cotton or linen that travel well,

they'll look ok just a little bit rumpled

For a laundry bag in the hotel, and then, on your way back, you've got room for souvenirs.

I just cannot travel without these essentials: my facial spritz, and my eye mask,

and of course my camera.

My creature comforts?

I don't leave home without Hank, Hank Jr., and Halsey.

And there you go!

The perfectly-packed weekend bag.

Thanks for joining us!

See you next time.

Bye guys, thanks for having me. Bye!

- Gangnam Hospital? / - Yes.

- No way. / - What is it?

Do you know the hospital?

I do. Very well.

Hong Jiwon.

I won't forgive you.

(Episode 34)

Lawyer Yun. What brings you here at this hour?

Madam.

I have to ask you something.

Hurry up.

We have to stop Seol.

Sir.

What are you doing here at this hour?

Is Seol home by any chance?

We were talking, but then she disappeared.

No one was answering the doorbell.

Oh, Seol? She was with us until a minute ago

and went somewhere.

I thought something happened.

We were talking, but then she disappeared

while I went go buy some drinks.

I think she took my phone too,

so I had no way of contacting her.

She'll be home soon.

Why don't you come inside?

You want to ask me something?

What's so urgent that you came to our house

this late at night?

Seol.

Mother?

Madam Seo, you're here too?

What are you doing here?

You should've told me you were coming.

We could've come together.

My apologies for disturbing you so late.

What is it?

What made both of you come?

What's going on? How rude.

Grandma.

It's the lawyer lady.

Hello.

You even woke the kids.

Why did you come down? You should be sleeping.

Grandma, are you fighting?

Why would the lawyer lady and grandma fight?

Did you come over to play?

Why don't we send the kids up and then talk?

Haeju, take the kids up.

Let's go upstairs.

Let's not do this here.

Why don't you wait for us in the study?

It's right there.

We were ready for bed,

so we'll go change.

Maid, bring out some tea.

What are you thinking?

How could you do this? Think, will you?

If you ask what happened to Bom,

do you think Jiwon will come out

and admit what she did and explain what happened?

Bom died at Gangnam Hospital.

That hospital is like Jiwon's alter ego.

Bom was healthy.

How could she die so easily from pneumonia?

So?

Jiwon came to the prison and asked...

How my baby was...

And that she'd make me feel the pain

of losing my child.

Is someone here?

This is so ridiculous.

Lawyer Yun and her mother suddenly barged in.

- Why? / - How would I know?

They suddenly barged in in the middle of the night.

They have absolutely no manners.

The kids will hear you. Maya, let's go to bed.

Gaya, let's go.

How rude of them.

They want to talk to you.

Must I be there too?

No!

It's obvious Jiwon was involved with Bom's death.

How can I hold myself back?

I'm going to ask her.

I'm going to question...

- What she did to Bom. / - Snap out of it.

It's only your gut feeling that she was involved

with Bom's death.

You have no proof.

You don't have evidence that will corner her

into confessing.

I don't need evidence.

I'm going to ask what she did to my baby.

The moment you do,

you'll be announcing, "I'm Son Yeori."

Then Bom will be lost forever

without ever having her mom hold her.

If they find out you're Yeori,

you won't go down alone.

It won't be just me and your dad.

Innocent and kind Oliver will also go to jail.

Even if we don't question Jiwon right now,

we can just find Bom's traces.

Even if Jiwon really did do something to Bom,

we need proof first.

Not now. You need to get it together.

I'm coming in.

Hush.

What's this?

Did they lock it or did it lock by itself?

We'll all die without gaining anything.

Bom wouldn't want you to be dragged back

to prison like this.

You bet your entire life on this revenge.

We can't let it end like this.

Okay.

I wasn't thinking.

- I'm sorry. / - Lawyer Yun, are you inside?

Madam Seo, please open the door.

Just a minute. Please let us talk a little bit longer.

What?

Seol told you about Bom?

Yes. She must've let me into her heart.

It must've been quite a shock for you.

I don't dwell on the past.

I like Seol for who she is now.

I'm sure it was difficult for her to tell you about Bom,

so she'll probably be uncomfortable seeing you.

So you should go home.

I'll tell her you stopped by.

No. I need to see her

before I go in order to sleep well.

If by chance, she feels bad,

I want to tell her not to.

You're so stubborn. Fine. I'll give her a call.

Once we leave this room,

they'll ask why we came here.

We need to think of

a convincing excuse.

What's up? We're still at Chairman Gu's house.

Dochi came over.

He wants to see Seol.

Dochi is there?

Send him home for now.

I'm sure

Seol doesn't want to see him tonight either.

Dochi came over?

I was with him and just took off.

That's it.

Let's say we're here because of Dochi.

Excuse me?

We're terribly sorry.

I needed to talk to Seol.

It must've been very important.

What is it?

It must have something to do with us,

or you wouldn't be here.

I've decided to date Dochi

as you asked me to.

You barged in here rudely

this late at night just to tell us that?

Do you even know where you are?

What do you take us for...

I thought Chairman Gu and Madam Hong

would be waiting anxiously.

I wanted to tell them right away

when I made up my mind,

so that I wouldn't change my mind later.

That is good news.

But is that all?

There's nothing else?

No.

Regardless, we're grateful that you've decided

to do as we asked.

Madam Seo, is there anything else?

I stopped by to talk to you

about getting Seol and Dochi together as well.

But after talking to her,

I realize I wasted a trip.

I've become anxious with age.

My goodness.

You're here anyway,

so please stay for tea.

No. It will wake me up later

and make me run to the bathroom.

Mother.

I need to talk to Chairman Gu and Madam Hong

alone so go home first.

Sure.

I'll get going then.

My apologies for intruding so late at night.

Have a seat.

I've thought hard about what you said to me

at the office.

If you guarantee

that I'll be the COO of the resort,

I will agree not to tell Dochi about the sale

of Wid Fashion.

Of course.

I never go back on my word.

I always follow through with what I say.

But verbal promises aren't all that reliable.

Would you like me to write an oath?

An oath carries no weight legally.

Please give me 1% of your shares.

What did you just say?

You want 1% of his shares?

I won't demand an answer right away either.

Just let me know as soon as you can.

Okay then. I'll see you at the office tomorrow.

What's going on?

You came here at this hour just to say

you'll date Dochi?

No. Of course not.

I asked the chairman

to give me 1% of his shares.

And?

Obviously, he needs to think about it.

But I'm sure he'll agree.

Since we've decided to take over Wid Group,

we have to do it right.

Haeju

said she'd give me half of her shares, so just wait.

Get home safely.

Haeju is home, so I can't drive you home.

Okay. Go inside.

She may get angry if she sees us.

She wants your shares? That was random.

What could she be thinking?

1% isn't that unreasonable.

The COO of the resort can have that much stock.

So? Will you agree?

I don't know.

I'll have to think about it.

Don't you think it's strange?

She said she came to ask me something.

But if it was about Dochi and company stock,

she could've talked to you at the office instead.

Maybe she felt more comfortable talking to you

since you're a woman.

Let's finish our conversation from before.

I'm going to give half of my shares to Muyeol.

No! Why would you give what's yours to him?

Once you start giving things to someone,

it's human nature to want more and more.

It'll become a habit.

Muyeol isn't a beggar.

Why would he demand more?

It's because you two have no respect for him,

that I want to give him more.

A spouse is nobody once you get a divorce.

A man

shows his true colors if he has more money

than he can handle.

If he takes your shares and divorces you,

it'll be too late to regret it.

Why would we get a divorce?

Go to bed.

We're tired too.

Dad.

Seol!

What happened? Why did you take off like that?

I was so worried

that something happened to you.

I'm sorry.

Something urgent came up.

You left it on the bench, so I took it with me

in case someone would take it.

You look tired. Let's talk in the car.

After hearing about Bom...

I wanted to see you again before I left.

I'll help you with Bom's memorials from now on.

Dochi.

You can't erase the painful memories,

but don't live in hiding, buried under them.

Let's think about...

How you and I...

Can be happy together.

I just

went to your house and told them

that you and I are going to date.

What? We're officially a couple then.

But...

Why do you look so down?

Is it because of Bom?

The truth is...

We lost Bom's ashes.

What?

How...

How did you lose her ashes?

We were moving her to another grove...

And I dropped her urn by mistake.

But it was empty.

I'll help you find her.

Let's find Bom together.

I'll help in any way I can.

I heard you told Dochi about Bom.

Your dad told me.

I just told him how her urn was empty.

And? What did he say?

He said he'd look with me.

He wants to help.

How kind of him.

He is such a great kid.

That's why I feel so bad.

If he finds out who Bom's dad is,

and that I'm Yeori...

Dochi will be traumatized for sure.

Anyway, I'll go to Gangnam Hospital tomorrow

and take a look at Bom's medical records.

The law requires them to keep

medical records for 10 years,

so they must have them.

Be very careful.

You can't let them know that you're Bom's mom.

Bom.

Where are you?

Come back to mommy.

I need to get out of here.

Those women are scary.

How did I end up here like this?

Thief!

Thief! Thief! Thief!

Thief? Where? Where?

Help, Mr. Jang!

Please help me.

Oh, no!

Wait.

- What's this? / - What?

- What's in this bag? / - Oh, that?

The thief must have been trying to take it.

Well...

I'm going back in. My back...

My back...

I don't think the thief was the only one

trying to sneak his way out.

What do you mean?

Imagine if Mr. Jang weren't here.

If a thief broke in and it was just the two of us...

It's scary, just thinking about it.

That's true.

I think we should thank him, don't you?

He saved our lives.

No, don't.

I can't live here, no matter what you do or say.

Gaya has his check-up today.

I hope he's okay.

I'm always so worried

about his health.

He'll be fine. Don't worry.

I'll go to the office afterward.

You know it's my mother's birthday today, right?

You're right. I'll send her money.

The best gift for her is to see her children.

Let's take her out to lunch.

I'll come to your store.

Must I go too?

I'll get indigestion if I eat with her.

Her birthday comes around once a year, so please.

Fine.

Also, about the stock I mentioned

that I'd give to you...

I told you, I don't need it.

I'll think about it some more.

My parents keep opposing,

so it's making me hesitate too.

But that doesn't mean I don't trust you.

I just want to think it over some more.

Don't worry about it.

I didn't expect it anyway.

See you later.

Is this the admission?

I'm with Wid Group's legal department.

I'm calling to make sure you are keeping

our employee's medical records as requested.

Of course.

The law requires us to keep them for 10 years,

so we plan to destroy records

that are over 10 years old.

I'll stop by the hospital to check,

so please don't destroy them until I get there.

I'm coming now.

Hello. I'm Wid Group's in-house attorney.

Hello. I've been waiting for you.

Please come this way.

(Admission and Discharging Office)

- Please have some coffee. / - Thank you.

This shows the last day they were at the hospital.

They will be removed because

they are more than 10 years old.

I see.

Name, birthday, date of treatment.

It's well-organized.

No one can take these records

outside of the hospital, can they?

Of course, not.

They can be printed here,

but they can't be saved onto a USB drive

and be taken outside.

You have a good security system.

Oh, no.

Since the twins were born very prematurely,

you have to keep getting them checked out.

Am I healthy, grandma?

Yes, of course you are.

Let's go to school.

You should study hard

and be healthy, and become

Wid Group's chairman like grandpa.

What about Maya?

She's healthier and does better in school.

Don't say that.

I was next door and thought I'd stop by.

If you have time, can we talk in my office?

I mulled over what you proposed last night.

You mean about giving me 1% of your shares?

I won't give you 1% as you asked, but 2%.

- Sorry? / - But I have a condition.

Let's make a trade.

The purchase agreement for your mother's land

for my shares.

Wid Group will gain Madam Seo's land,

and you gain shares of Wid Group.

What do you say?

You want the purchase agreement for her land.

I'll have to talk to her about it.

Where did she go?

Where's the Wid Fashion sales report?

What's this?

It's a medical record.

Son Bom?

Why are you so jumpy? What were you looking at?

Nothing.

What brings you here?

I dropped Gaya off at school after his check-up.

I wanted to have lunch with you and Lawyer Yun.

What is that? Why were you so jumpy?

It's nothing. It's just a work document.

Let me see it.

Now!

It looks like a medical record.

Son Bom?

What is this?

Bom?

- I'm sorry. / - Sorry?

Are you saying you know who Bom is?

Tell me!

When Yeori was in prison,

she called me just once.

That's when I found out that the daughter

she gave birth to was named Bom.

So?

Why did you look up her medical record?

What did you plan to do with it?

I wanted to know how she died.

That's all.

Why do you want to know that now?

She may be dead and no longer in this world,

but I'm still her father.

I just thought of her

as I watched Gaya and Maya grow up.

To be honest, I felt bad too.

That's all it is, so please don't tell Haeju.

Don't mention her name ever again.

You're the one who abandoned her and chose Haeju.

Just be good to Haeju!

Don't even think about taking her shares

and don't bug her for them!

Where did you go?

The chairman wanted to see me.

Why did you have Bom's medical record?

Did Madam Hong see that?

- She did. / - What?

Did you tell her that I brought it?

I said I wanted to know how Bom died,

but who knows if she believed me?

But why did you suddenly bring her hospital record?

I wanted to see...

How our baby died.

That's all.

My heart breaks when I think about her too.

I can't imagine how you must feel.

I'm sorry.

Kim Muyeol, your heart breaks?

You scumbag.

But why did the chairman want to see you?

I agreed to take Lawyer Yun up on her offer

from last night.

You agreed to give her 1% of your shares?

- No. / - Then?

The chairman said he'd give me 2%

of his shares of Wid Group.

2%?

He must really be desperate for your mother's land.

What about you? Is Haeju giving you her shares?

Actually, she's hesitating.

But I'll get it eventually.

You'll get 2% you get from the chairman,

and of Haeju's 15%, I'll take about 10%.

That plus Gaya and Maya's shares

and the ones your mother buys,

should add up to 20%.

Chairman Gu has 25%.

If they combine his shares,

Madam Hong's shares and Haeju's,

that's over 30%.

That's why you need to bring Dochi's 5%.

And then?

We'll make Wid Fashion's stock price jump for now.

We'll sell our 20% and make a huge profit.

Then we'll make the stock price fall,

and buy up stock for cheap.

Then we will surpass Chairman Gu

and be the largest shareholder.

Then I'll divorce Haeju...

And take over Wid Group with you.

Says who?

I'll destroy you, no matter what it takes.

I promise.

Hi, Oliver. How have you been?

I haven't seen you in ages.

I'm sorry.

Something came up, and I couldn't even call.

I called to ask

if you could locate a doctor for me.

I thought it would be easier for you

since you're a doctor.

What's his name?

Jeong Hyeoncheol.

he worked in pediatrics at Gangnam Hospital.

Only an Indian wife can understand this.

How would you know it?

You have not performed the nuptial rounds.

You have not put vermilion.

You have not worn nuptial thread around your neck.

You can't compete with it by wrapping a towel around your body.

"My face is like a mirror. My face is like a mirror."

"You can see your image in it."

"Raise your glance at it, dear."

"And see your destiny in it."

This Organization Is Trying to End Child Marriage in the U.S. [INSIGHTS] - Duration: 2:40.

Right now marriage before 18 is legal in all 50 U.S. states.

And in fact 27 states don't even set a minimum age

below which a child cannot marry.

Arms chained!

Mouths taped!

Trapped and Silenced.

This is what life is like for the many thousands of girls,

who have been forced into marriages recently.

We had a chain-in right here

in front of the statehouse in Trenton.

My family pressured me into an arranged marriage

to a man who turned out to be violent.

And I was trapped in that marriage for 15 years.

I had no reproductive rights,

not allowed to use birth control.

And I had no financial rights.

I wasn't allowed to work or have a bank account

or a credit card in my own name.

So after 15 years trapped in that abusive marriage,

I managed to escape.

And I rebuilt my life and then founded Unchained At Last

to help other women and girls say "no" to marriage.

What would you do if you were a 16- or 17-year-old girl,

and you were forced to make that terrible decision?

The girls who have reached out to Unchained At Last

to ask for help and to figure out what to do in that situation,

I'll tell you what they've done!

Almost all of them have turned to self-harm and suicide attempts!

Well, you know, these chain-ins are always such an emotional experience,

and it's always wonderful to see the looks on the faces

of the people passing by who say,

"What's going on? What, child marriage?

That happens here?"

At first they ask, "Are you talking about Bangladesh?"

No, we're talking about right here in your state.

Most members of the public,

most thinking, caring people want child marriage to end.

Right now, legislation is pending in multiple states

that would either end or limit child marriage.

So we plan to keep doing this in as many states as possible.

So when people find out about this,

I hope that they will pick up the phone

and call your legislator.

Make sure your legislators and your governor know

that you're not OK with this human rights abuse.

We're not gonna stop.

And we're not gonna be silenced.

Not for those little girls.

We're just gonna keep going.

Career Change Success: The First 7 Steps - Duration: 12:33.

Hey everyone, it's Andy with this week's Tips for Work and Life.

We're going to talk about changing careers today, career changing success, the first

seven steps that I would take if I was going to make a career change.

Now for all of you out there who are watching this, I want to offer some words of encouragement.

I know you can do this.

I've done it three times, and if I could do it three times, you can do it.

The greatest news is you have the ability and it's never, ever in the history of the

world be easier to make a career change with all the resources that we have in this world

to help educate you and get you going in the right direction.

The problem is most people don't have a plan, which I'm going to give you today, the first

seven steps of that plan.

But before we do that, I want to just give you a moment of perspective and I want you

to tuck this away in the back of your mind as you watch this video, or any of my videos

for that matter.

If I wasn't brave enough 13 or so years ago to make a career change, and again two years

ago to make another change, you'd never be benefiting from this video or any video I've

ever created, or any training course, or anything I've ever done to help facilitate your career

and your life.

I want you think about as you're hesitating to make that change, all the people in this

world who would benefit from you doing so.

So whether you are an old pro like me, just wanting to make a drastic career change, or

whether you're a college student just looking for that first job, or anybody who wants a

job where they don't feel like they have the requisite experience, this video is for you.

I'm going to give you the first seven steps that I would take.

Let's roll.

Number one, you got to make sure that you want it.

It sounds silly, but there's a huge difference between a passing fancy and a burning desire.

Most people fail not because of their ability, but because they don't have a good plan in

place and they haven't really thought it through about whether or not that career or that change

is going to align to the things that make them happy.

So the first step that I would take is I would list out all of my requirements of the things

that I would need in place to be happy, everything, down to the lowest level.

Make a list.

It sounds simple, but very few people do it.

So number one, make a list, and if you are really ambitious and you really want to learn

how to do that effectively I have a three-part video series that you can watch.

It's called Five Steps to Career Success.

It's the first five steps that I would take in order to make sure that my list was in

order, my why was in order, and I was directed, so I'll put that in the description.

You can watch that later, but that's number one.

Number two, the step everybody forgets, virtually everybody forgets this.

This might even be step number one or zero.

What are you willing to sacrifice?

You have the ability to achieve your goals.

You have the ability to make this career change or get that job or whatever it might be.

The reason a lot of people fail is not only because they don't have a plan, but that they're

unwilling to give up certain things in their life, to put in the extra effort to compensate

for the areas they're deficient in or how they need to catch up, whatever it might be.

Think nights, think weekends, maybe compensation.

You might have to take a little pay cut if you want to make a change.

What are the things that you're willing to give up and what are the things that you're

not willing to give up, and get clear on that and be committed to sacrificing those things

that are going to prevent you from being successful in making this change.

That's number two.

Number three, you have to discover the capabilities that are important for success for that particular

position.

What do I mean by capabilities?

Think about ... An example I use a lot is for sales people.

When a sales person is about to sell a product, a thing, a service or whatever, knowing exactly

how to sell that particular product, that's a trade skill.

That's something that you learn with experience selling that particular product.

That's something that can usually be easily taught, but great sales people that can transcend

whatever product they're selling, whatever service they're selling, they have foundational

abilities like good leadership skills, good organizational skills, good communication

skills.

They're good listeners.

They know how to connect the dots for their customers or prospects to show them how their

products and services will benefit them.

They're good at psychology.

Those are foundational abilities that can be developed that make a great sales person

a great sales person.

If you want to be a chef, then you need to figure out what the great capabilities are

that make awesome chefs.

There's two ways to do that.

Well, there's many ways to do that, but there is two easy ways.

You could literally Google what qualities make a great chef and a whole bunch of blog

posts will come up and a whole bunch of books will come up.

Go ahead and do that.

Read them.

Learn.

See if those are things and qualities you think you already have.

The other thing is you can do a little research with individuals who are currently doing that

role or have done that role.

There's lots of ways, but you want to get these capabilities.

It's really important to get these capabilities, and we're going to use these in a later step

in the process.

That is a really, really big deal, that you understand what those qualities are.

Speaking of people, step number four is you've got to do a little bit of reconnaissance.

Talk to people who are currently doing that job, and I want to stress here for a second

those people that are actually currently doing that profession.

Why do I make such a big deal about that?

It's okay to talk to somebody who was a chef or who was a sales person, but human nature

is we tend to forget what it was like, what some of the struggles were, what it was like

not to know what we know, and the other thing their techniques or their interaction with

the world might be a little outdated.

You want to talk to people who are currently going through it.

It's fresh in their mind.

They know what they're dealing with.

It's front, it's center, they can share it with you.

You can start making a bigger list of things that you're going to have to evaluate and

consider to know whether you're going to want to make that change.

Very, very big deal.

It might sound exciting when you're thinking about making that change, but if you don't

have some realistic real time data you're not going to be successful.

Number five, still on the theme of people.

It's never been easier to get help out in the world and get educated on a career that

you want.

I call this one, number five, building a Franken-mentor.

Using myself as an example, when I became a trainer a few years ago I didn't know how

to work a camera.

I didn't really have a great platform.

I didn't know what it was like to build a membership site or a training course or a

number of other things that I had to learn.

I have seven different people that it takes to help me shoot this video.

I had to learn from many different people, who were fantastic experts at what it was

that they do that contributed to my ability to deliver this to you.

So Google them.

Find the books.

Find the blogs.

Follow people.

Figure out and align those capabilities with individuals who speak on that, write on that,

talk on those capabilities, and start to learn.

Over time you'll find that some of those experts are a little bit more effective at giving

advice than others.

Continue to follow them.

That's a way where you can start educating yourself.

Very big deal.

You can catch up on your free time outside of your current work hours.

Following your Franken-mentor.

Number six, you've got to anticipate the struggle and plan for it.

It's amazing, people want to envision success ... You hear a lot of people talk about, "Well,

just imagine yourself successful."

That's bunk.

You can't just imagine yourself into success.

The better way to imagine yourself towards success is envision the struggles you are

about to encounter, anticipate them by talking to the people, research the change you want

to make, and then put a plan together as to how you're going to overcome them and envision

yourself through the struggle.

How are you going to react when you encounter that obstacle?

If you are more prepared for that encounter when you hit it because you envisioned yourself

hitting it and you knew you were going to hit it, you're going to be more successful

in getting through that.

If you just envision yourself on the beach having your cocktails, it isn't going to work.

Now you probably have a dozen problems that you have to overcome.

All of us do.

There's a bunch we can think of.

There's some that will be unanticipated, but everybody has three problems.

You have a learning problem, you have a marketing problem, and you have a job interviewing problem

if your change is going to be to stay in the corporate world or go into a different profession

where you're going to have to interview for it, learning, marketing and interviewing.

The learning part ... Step number seven, you've got to execute your plan against this.

The learning part is something that I've already spoken about.

Build your Franken-mentor, get the books, follow the blogs, do the research, do your

reconnaissance, talk to the people, start getting educated, start becoming more and

more familiar.

That one is pretty straightforward, it just takes a little elbow grease.

The marketing aspect ... People always want to know, "What do I put on my resume, because

I don't have the requisite experience?"

Well, if you did step number three correctly where you identified those capabilities ... Remember

that example that I used about the sales person?

Psychology skills, leadership skills, organization skills, influential skills, communications

skills, and so on.

Those foundational traits ... The greatest employers in the world, they know that that's

what they need to be evaluating when they're going to hire a sales person.

So what you need to do is take whatever experience that you have ... If you're a college student,

we're talking internships, part time jobs, school projects, school classes, whatever

you have at your disposal.

If you're professional, take whatever experience you have in your life, make the list of capabilities,

and then go through your work history and start identifying the projects, the efforts,

the work that you did that helped you build skills that align to those capabilities, and

we want to put those in your career profile, in your highlights, in the bullets in your

professional experience on your resume.

If you really want to see how to lay that resume out, I have a video called Build Your

Ultimate Professional Resume.

It's got a resume template.

It's extremely popular.

I've got that in the description.

You can grab that as well, but that is the way to market yourself.

You can put it on the resume, you can put it in the cover letter, and you can put it

on your Linkedin profile, and you can talk about it in the responses that you give to

questions in the job interview.

Focus on the capabilities.

That is your key, because when you don't have the requisite work experience you've got to

focus on the capabilities.

Lets run over the seven again.

Number one, make your list.

You've got to make sure that you want it.

Number two, make sure you think about the sacrifices you're going to make.

Number three, make your list of capabilities.

Number four, do the reconnaissance and talk to people.

Number five, build your Franken-mentor.

Number six, anticipate the struggles.

List out the struggles you're going to have and put a plan together.

Step number seven, execute the plan, primarily going against your learning deficit, so you

want to collapse that, your marketing and your interviewing issues.

You want to focus on the capabilities, grab the experience you have.

I hope you enjoyed this.

If you liked this video give me a like comment in the share.

If you're watching it anywhere other than my YouTube or the Tips for Work and Life blog,

hop over to the blog.

I've got loads of information on how to go deeper in each one of these steps.

Until next week, have a great one.
