Gordon Ramsay Hunts For Lionfish To Cook | Season 1 Ep. 4 | THE F WORD - Duration: 3:26.

[music playing]

GORDON RAMSAY (VOICEOVER): This is

Florida, a state known for as hot sun and amazing seafood.

But in these crystal blue waters, an unwelcome predator,

the lion fish, threatens the very ecosystem that

makes this place so incredible.

I'm going to meet Eric and Grace who are a husband

and wife team, and they dedicate their life

hunting down this fish.

GORDON RAMSAY (VOICEOVER): Dumped into the waters

by careless aquarium owners, these predators

belong in the Indian Ocean, not in the Florida Keys.

This lion fish is a pest.

GORDON RAMSAY (VOICEOVER): We speed

off the coast of Islamorada in hopes of taking some of them

out.

Then I'll show Eric and Grace how to cook

them into a delicious meal.

Here is our target.

So you can see these dorsal spikes.

It's almost like a hypodermic needle.

- Bloody hell. - And this--

Oh, you can see.

That holds the venom.

You can see it.

And how dangerous is this sort of venom?

What does it feel like?

Yeah, what does it feel like?

I, unfortunately, have been hit many times.

- You serious? - You know, big, bald--

It's awful.

--tattoo, muscle guy was crying like a little baby.

It was bad. - Gee.

But we're not going to get stung today.

- No. - No.

Not today. - Wow.

GORDON RAMSAY (VOICEOVER): I've been

diving for more than 20 years, but never

with a mission like this.

80 feet to the ocean floor, and the hunt begins.

To really make a difference in this fight,

we need to find the biggest fish, the ones that

do the most damage to the reef.

Eric spots some movement amongst the rocks.

[music playing]

His instincts have paid off.

We're able to find several big ones, and we take them out.

This small part of the reef is safe for the moment.

It's time to ascend.

That was incredible.

Woo!

Look at the size of that one.

Oh, my god.

Look at the size on this.

[music playing]

A beast.

Wow.

GORDON RAMSAY (VOICEOVER): I'm thrilled

about the size of my catch.

I'm no stranger to diving, but I've never felt such a rush.

Look at that.

[bleep] that's ugly, huh?

[music playing]

GORDON RAMSAY (VOICEOVER): We've done a small part to help

save this incredible ecosystem.

Now it's time to turn these harmful creatures

into a delicious meal.

Caribbean fish curry is on the menu.

[music playing]

First, marinate with turmeric and olive oil.

So I suppose sort of a light, fragrant curry.

GORDON RAMSAY (VOICEOVER): Hit the curry with some ginger,

garlic, and pepper.

Ooh, yum.

GORDON RAMSAY (VOICEOVER): Coconut milk

to bring the curry to life.

Fish on the grill skin side down.

[sizzling]

That is glistening beautifully.

GORDON RAMSAY (VOICEOVER): Minutes later lunch is served.

Nice.

Beautiful.

Grace, who'd like some lion fish?

All of us.

Alrighty, guys.

[music playing]

Literally speared, filleted, cooked.

Right to your plate.

[music playing]

Mm.

The big shock, from a chef's point of view,

is that something being so poisonous that

decimates the coral reef could be so tasty.

Right.

No excuses now.

Next time you cook that--

Man, the bar is high now.

--elevate it.

- Here's how it's going to work. - OK.

We're gonna be cooking side by side.

I'm going to be with you--

Wow!

--every step of the way.

OK.

But there's a slight problem.

This wall will be separating us, so you won't actually

be able to see what I'm doing.

You have to listen to my amazing voice and take direction.

I know.

Here's the issue-- you're a screamer and you talk fast.

- But here's the good news. - Yes?

Guess what we're going to be cooking?

What? Oh, god.

The most amazing pan-seared chicken breast with sauteed

mushrooms, amazing potatoes, and finished with roasted carrots.

No!

I don't like carrots. - Oh, come on.

Are you kidding me?

- Are you ready? - Yes.

- Let's go. - OK.

Good luck.

First things first.

I feel like I'm about to operate on someone.

Chicken breast.

Season-- salt, pepper.

Pan on.

Get it nice and hot.

Pan on?

Now, when was the last time you actually

physically cooked at home?

I mean, I reheat in my toaster oven.

Stop, stop, stop, stop.

You reheat?

I order in.

I live in New York City.

You have an amazing kitchen.

Yes.

So, what is it, like a showpiece?

Yeah.

It is.

Next, get the chicken breast and lay it away from you.

OK.

Take a nice sprig of rosemary.

Put that in with the chicken.

It makes it nice and fragrant.

I don't think I have rosemary.

Oh!

No, that's a carrot.

A couple of tablespoons of stock into the chicken.

Oh, is this this?

That's it there.

Oh, I thought that was grapefruit juice.

[chuckles] Now, saute the potatoes

and saute in mushrooms.

OK.

Now, try and put them flesh-side down--

Is this the flesh side?

That's right.

Do you think I'm dumb?

No, but you just don't [bleep] cook enough.

Now, check that chicken, please.

OK, flip it back over.

No, no, no, don't stab it.

Oh, no.

That's-- why?

Well, because if you stab it, you'll pierce it.

All the goodness will come out.

Oh, no.

Now, give the pan a little toss.

All in the wrist.

Now, we're going to make the most amazing Madeira sauce now.

Oh, my specialty.

Take your Madeira and let that reduce down.

Wow.

I'm making a sauce with Gordon Ramsay, America.

Eat it and weep.

[drumbeats]

Now, mushrooms are resting, sauce is reducing,

carrots are glazing, and we're coming together.

This is getting intense.

Once the chicken stock with the Madeira au jus

has reduced down--

It's like caramel-y, almost.

A couple of tablespoons of cream in there now.

Really?

Yes.

With all due, I think this is a mistake.

You're telling me my recipes are mistakes?

No one else will tell you because people

are scared of you.

The Jew makes au jus.

Oh, my god, you're a nightmare, by the way.

You know that.

You're a nightmare.

Now we're ready to plate.

OK.

And, Andy.

Yes.

I-- I can smell--

I can smell burning.

I got news for you.

I screwed up the sauce.

If you show me your pan--

I think I overly reducted it.

OK, I'm ready.

Show me your poulet.

Oh, lord.

What?

Is it bad?

What are you--

What have you done?

What do you mean?

Now for the most exciting part.

What?

I'm tasting yours, you're tasting--

- No. - Yes.

OK, good.

Well, I'm excited to taste yours.

- Andy. - What?

It's burnt.

It's just lightly charred.

It's good.

It's a little crunch.

[gasp] Right.

Let's taste.

Hey, listen, this is delicious.

This is so good, Gordon.

I mean, really good job.

You were just let down with your chicken.

Peanut Butter Apple Wheels~Kid Friendly~Summer Snack Idea~Tasty Snack Recipe~Noreen's Kitchen - Duration: 5:53.

Hi, everyone

I'm Noreen and welcome back to my kitchen today for another installment of our kid-friendly summer snack series and next up is going to be

Peanut butter and Apple wheels with your choice of toppings today

We put some Muesli and some chocolate chips

And I think this is going to be a really fun way to get your kids to eat their fruit and love it, too

So let's go see how these all come together

Okay this week for our kid-friendly summer snack

We're going to make apple wheels with peanut butter and granola

and we've got a little bit of chocolate chip going on and

You can feel free to switch out peanut butter for almond butter or whatever nut butter you choose

Sunflower butter cashew butter, whatever what I have here is a pink lady apple

Okay, so get the apple of your choice

And you're going to cut off the top and the bottom

And this is also a great way to use up apples that are going a little south

You know I'm saying so you're going to cut this in about

half inch

slices

I'm probably going to get about 4 per apple, and that's what I'm going to do here

I'm just going to kind of eyeball it now

you want to make sure you cut the core part out even though it's super pretty but

You can do that with a knife or what I'm going to do it with is a piping tip

from

My cake decorating and you can just pop that right out

Get all the seeds out of there and just sit the apples however is easiest

And I'm going to grab a little spreading knife, and I have some natural peanut butter

And this is super easy not an original idea, but it's just another idea to give you guys

you know some

fuel for that

Mom, I'm hungry fire. You know

Maybe you have apples on hand. Maybe you have peanut butter on hand most moms do

and

This is just another way to get your kids to eat a healthy snack now. I have some this is Muesli and

It's got almonds and raisins and dates chopped up in there and oats and all sorts of goodness

So what I'm going to do on this one

But you can top this with just plain raisins dried cherries dried Cranberries

Whatever your kids like if you have if they have a favorite like healthy cereal then use that instead on

This one. I'm going to go a

little indulgent

And we'll put some chocolate chips on here

This can be a fun afternoon treat for your kids like between lunch and dinner

And it satisfies that little sweet tooth that they're looking for

You can also put some shredded coconut on here, and it's just going to be fun

So I'm going to go set this up for you

And I will come back and I'll show you what it all looks like and how pretty it is

And there you have it delicious apple wheels with peanut butter

Muesli and chocolate chips like I said your toppings

Can just suit your tastes what your kids love this Muesli has oats and sunflower seeds

Raisins and sliced almonds you can add whatever you want

Toasted coconut there favorite cereal on top whatever. It's going to be great

We also love the chocolate chips you could use white chocolate chips you could use toffee bits Rick said that while we were cleaning up

A little the toffee bits would be really good

And they would you're not using a ton and it's just going to make them happy like I said

I think this is a great option for a between lunch and dinner snack

you know how your kids get like round about 4 o'clock or

3:30 they want something yummy, but you don't want them to spoil their appetite for supper depending on what time you eat?

This is really a great option because here you literally have 4 snacks out of one apple

You can also do the option of cutting the apple in half scooping out the core

Cutting a sliver off the bottom so it doesn't rock around and then topping your apple any way you like I?

also mentioned that you can choose almond butter cashew butter any other nut butter that you like if you

Don't do peanut butter of course the options are all up to you this would even be great topped with a little greek yogurt

or cream cheese

So you do you you make what makes your kids happy and everybody is going to be satisfied and just ready for their snack

So I hope that this gives you another idea

Kidney Stone Treatment ❤ Home Remedies for Kidney Stones - Duration: 3:34.

Home Remedies for Kidney Stones

Kidney stones are a very common health problem.

They form from the chemicals in urine, such as uric acid, phosphorous, calcium and oxalic

acid.

Other common causes of kidney stones are excessive consumption of vitamin D, a mineral imbalance,

dehydration, gout and an improper diet.

Here are the top 5 home remedies for kidney stones.

Also, do consult your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.

1.

Lemon Juice and Olive Oil

The combination of lemon juice and olive oil is traditionally used as a home remedy to

expel gallbladder stones but it can also be used to treat kidney stones.

The citric acid present in lemons helps break down calcium-based kidney stones and stops

further growth.

Take four tablespoons or a quarter cup of fresh lemon juice.

Add an equal amount of olive oil.

Drink this mixture followed by plenty of water.

Do this two to three times a day, up to three days.

You need not continue this remedy if you pass the stones in a single dose.

Warning: This remedy may not be suitable for passing large kidney stones.

Make sure you consult a doctor before taking this remedy.

2.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar helps dissolve kidney stones.

It also has an alkalinizing effect on blood and urine.

Mix two tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon of honey in one cup

of warm water.

Drink this a few times a day.

3.

Pomegranate

Both the seeds and juice of pomegranates have astringent properties that can help in the

treatment of kidney stones.

Try to eat one whole pomegranate or drink one glass of freshly squeezed pomegranate

juice daily.

You can mix pomegranate in a fruit salad also.

Another option is to grind one tablespoon of pomegranate seeds into a fine paste.

Eat this paste along with a cup of horse gram soup once daily.

This remedy will help dissolve the stones.

You can find horse gram in Indian markets.

4.

Nettle Leaf

The nettle leaf helps maintain the flow of water through the kidneys and bladder, thus

promoting smooth urination.

At the same time, nettle leaf helps keep crystals from forming into stones and keeps bacteria

away.

Nettle tea will also enhance the benefits of water by acting as a natural diuretic.

Add two teaspoons of dried nettle leaf to a cup of hot water.

Let it steep for 10 minutes and then strain it.

Drink two to three cups of nettle tea daily for several weeks.

5.

Basil

Basil is regarded as a tonic for the kidneys and thus it is good for the organs overall

health.

Basil can also help induce stone expulsion from the urinary tract.

Mix one teaspoon each of basil juice and honey.

Take it daily in the morning for five to six months.

If you do not like the taste of honey, you can take pure basil juice or chew two to three

basil leaves daily.

Another option is to drink basil tea.

Steep five to six basil leaves in boiling water for about 10 minutes.

Add a teaspoon of honey and drink this tea after it cools.
