>> A GOOD THURSDAY TO YOU, I'M
METEOROLOGIST CINDY FITZGIBBON,
SUNSHINE ALL DAY LONG, THAT
WESTERLY WIND ALLOWING THE
TEMPERATURES TO COME UP INTO THE
LOW AND MID 80s, EVEN CLOSE TO
80 ON CAPE COD TODAY, SO JUST A
PICTURE PERFECT DAY.
THE HUMIDITY IS QUITE LOW.
THE HIGH PRESSURE NOSING OUT OF
CANADA, AND THIS IS A DRY, WEST,
NORTHWESTERLY WIND SO YOU CAN
SEE THE DEWPOINTS IN THE 50s
NOW, BUT LOOK TO THE SOUTH AND
WEST.
SEE HOW STICKY IT IS.
DEWPOINTS BACK IN THE 60s AND
LOWER 70s.
THAT IS COMING HERE TOMORROW IT,
TURNS OPPRESSIVE TOMORROW, THE
MUGGY AIR WILL BE WITH US INTO
SATURDAY, AS WELL, BEFORE THE
HUMIDITY BREAKS ONCE AGAIN FOR
THE SECOND HALF OF THE WEEKEND,
THE LEADING EDGE OF THAT HUMID
AIR IS THIS WARM FRONTAL
BOUNDARY.
A LOT OF CLOUDS AND
THUNDERSTORMS, AND THIS COLD
FRONT BACK TO THE WEST IS LIKELY
GOING TO INTERACT WITH THE
MOISTURE COMING ASHORE NOW FROM
TROPICAL STORM CINDY.
THE WINDS CONTINUE TO COME DOWN
WITH THIS NOW THAT IT IS ON LAND
BUT THIS IS GOING TO BE A BIG
FLOOD PRODUCER.
AS IT CONTINUES TO LIFT, AND
THAT TROPICAL MOISTURE IS GOING
TO CONTINUE TO FEED NORTH EVEN
AS THE STORM IS DISORGANIZED SO
TAKE A LOOK AT THAT REMNANT,
WORKING UP INTO TENNESSEE, BY
EARLY IN THE DAY ON FRIDAY, AND
BY EARLY ON SATURDAY, THERE IS
THE FRONT, KNOCKING ON OUR DOOR,
THAT REMNANT MOISTURE FOCUSED
DOWN TO THE SOUTH AROUND THE
D.C. AREA, AND BECAUSE THIS
FRONT IS SLOWING DOWN A BIT,
SOME OF THAT MOISTURE MAY SNEAK
UP IN HERE DURING THE DAY ON
SATURDAY.
THAT MAY KEEP THE THREAT FOR
SHOWERS AND STORMS GOING INTO
THE FIRST HALF OF THE WEEKEND.
SO, FOR TONIGHT WITH THE WINDS
TURNING TO THE SOUTH, THE
HUMIDITY COMING UP, IT WILL NOT
BE AS COMFORTABLE FOR SLEEPING,
YOU MAY WANT TO SHUT THE WINDOWS
AND KEEP THE HUMIDITY OUT, THE
LOW TEMPERATURES INTO THE 60s
AND TOMORROW UPPER 80s TO NEAR
90 DEGREES.
A BIT COOLER ON CAPE COD WITH
THE SOUTH, SOUTHWESTERLY WIND,
SO REALLY MUGGY STUFF THE NEXT
COUPLE DAYS, LET ME BREAK DOWN
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FOR YOU.
YOU CAN SEE ALL OF THE CLOUDS
TOMORROW MORNING, AND REALLY AT
ANY POINT TOMORROW WITH THE
HUMID AIR MASS IN PLACE WE COULD
POP A SHOWER OR A THUNDERSTORM,
IT WILL FAVOR THE INTERIOR
SECTIONS TOMORROW WITH THE
DOWNPOURS ROLLING THROUGH, AND
SATURDAY MORNING, THERE COULD BE
A FEW PASSING SHOWERS, AND
DURING THE MID-DAY HOURS, SOME
OF THAT TROPICAL MOISTURE WORKS
ON IN AND THAT WILL FOCUS TO THE
SOUTH DURING THE AFTERNOON AS
DRIER AIR WORKS IN FROM THE
NORTH AND WEST SO LOW 80s.
STILL HUMID ON SATURDAY.
AND THE DIFFERENCE COMES IN ON
SUNDAY WITH DRIER AIR RETURNING,
CERTAINLY THE PICK OF THE
WEEKEND, AND IT DOES TURN COOLER
