Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

Wiz Khalifa has been steadily featured on new music over the last couple of months but

Friday night he delivered something more concrete in a four song EP.

The surprise drop titled 'Pre-Rolleds' is produced by frequent collaborator Sledgren,

and includes two guest features by Taylor Gang member Chevy Woods and Kris Hollis.

The four tracks are titled, Doubt Fire, Duty Calls, Comment Creepin, and Water Damage.

Let's keep in mind that it's been a little over a year that fans have been waiting for

a new Wiz studio album, so this EP came at a good time to hold some of them over.

He's also been dabbling with remixes lately.

He hopped on a remix of The Chainsmokers' hit single Closer and SahBabii's 'Pull Up

With Ah Stick'.

He also linked up with Young Thug, 2 Chainz, and PnB Rock for 'Gang Up' off the Fate of

the Furious: The Album soundtrack.

Aside from music Wiz has been adding to his resume in the pot business.

In April he released his own video game, Wiz Khalifa's Weed Farm which gives players a

simulated glimpse into the world of the marijuana biz.

When talking about the game that lets players virtually harvest, sell and reinvest to grow

their business Wiz said,

"It's a fun game and I play it all the time.

[It is] better than Pokémon!"

Wiz's upcoming studio album Rolling Papers 2 still has a ways to go.

On the EP's last track Water Damage, Wiz reveals for fans to be patient, enjoy this EP and

he'll let us know when there is an update.

The best Maya ruins or Mexico! Palenque, Chiapas! - Duration: 1:28.

When you arrived you can see all the locals selling souvenirs and food, it's very cheap!

My favorite ruins in Mexico : Palenque!

I guess they are Maya, but I am not an historian so just check it out online.

Here are the old pyramids sharing the space with the jungle.

You can imagine yourself as an adventurer like Indiana Jones.

As in Teotihuacan, you can climb up the ruins and that's cool.

Think of the Mayas living there before.

Isn't amazing to think of all these buildings which survived through time unlike its inhabitants.

Now they were replaced by tourists and poor locals.

In the jungle, are still living some monkeys, trying to get food from the tourists.

They also survived through time until now.

Thanks for watching, don't hesitate to share the video and leave a like!

Exit Empire - In The Studio - Duration: 5:28.

We are incredibly lucky to live in a time that allowed us to start this band

and to create this album the way we wanted. With no compromises.

This is our first record, but we've been together for four years.

So we know each other very well.

That's why we knew how we want to do this record.

The reason why I think it works is because

all of us are best friends and we have the same vision.

Songwriting is very exhausting sometimes.

You have to go through all the depressive memories and stuff you hold inside.

But once you get it out of yourself, you create something new.

Something uniqe that has a bit of yourself in it.

And then you feel relieved.

Some songs are finished immediately, like in one day.

Sometimes it takes several months, because it's quite harsh process.

We need to argue what to keep in the song, what to feel from it.

What we can influence now is the music to be the best it can.

So we focus on composing the album to make it the best we can

so people would feel something from it.

Now I can't predict what's going to be next. But I'm looking forward to it.

After the release we will continue with what we're doing now.

Playing shows, working hard, creating new songs. That will never stop.

Getting our music to as many ears as we can. That's the absolute goal.

For me, Exit Empire means walking the path I've chosen myself.

Where I'm in control.

For me it means a new life with no mask.

When I was producing demos for my previous bands,

I was wondering what makes the professional releases sound so good?

How can we achieve that too?

Thanks to the Internet we can learn directly from producers like Joey Sturgis

Deadmou5, Hans Zimmer, Eyal Levi, Jesse Cannon...

But even the best sound is worthless if the song itself isn't good enough.

If it doesn't contain the right emotions.

When writing a song I think about communication. What story will be there?

How will it resonate with people?

Whether they listen to it at home or at a show.

And I think about what elements can I put there so they would sing it back.

When I heard the mixes the guys made for the first time,

I immediately told them that's exactly how it should sound.

I wasn't expecting it to sound that good if we do it ourselves.

Considering our conditions.

On one hand, the production is very technical. But on the other hand,

you can get very creative with it. That's why we produce us ourselves.

This way we possess complete control over our sound.

Only we decide how our recordings should sound.

I love music that contains strong emotions, grandiosity, epic parts.

That's what I enjoy. At the same time, I like intimacy, some relatable topic.

That's how we make our songs - for people like us.

This record we're creating with Exit Empire is not just a rock record for me.

It's something much more. We used so many different elements in there,

whether from film scores, electronic music, house, pop, whatever.

But we used it solely to deepen the dynamics of every song.

And to support its emotions. On the contrary, we got rid

of everything that shouldn't be there.

The ultimate goal of this album is to put a bit of ourselves in there.

To put there our own experiences we lived while composing.

I believe people will hear it there

and when listening for the fiftieth time, they'll still hear something new there.

We've released four singles so far, the album is coming out this year.

I hope people will hear it there.

And I can't wait for them to hear it.
