Brian you have been a student of success

I guess for 40 years yes and you've

written that success is predictable

right I know the way you analyze things

that you've got to have a great

explanation for us what do you mean by

success is predictable and if I'm

someone seeking that what are some of

the key things I need to be doing

looking out for whatever well if you go

into the kitchen to cook a dish and the

very first thing you get is a recipe and

you follow the recipe and you work with

the recipe eventually you'll master that

dish once you've mastered it and made a

few a few times you can make the dish

over over again and you'll remember the

recipe you don't have to keep going back

to the recipe book now if somebody says

boy that's really delicious you don't

say well it's a miracle like something

out of food you know you just followed a

proven recipe that had been worked out

by people before you and that's

basically the secret of success if you

want to be successful in starting a

business then you study what people have

learned and everything that people have

learned that written down or shared in

seminars or put onto audio programs is I

learned this from a very wise man named

cop cop Myer who spent more than 50

years studying success and he had

developed more than 1,000 success

principles that he had derived out of

something like 6,000 books and when I

met him I asked him the question you

would ask of all these thousand

principles because I had studied it all

which is the most important principle of

all and he said Brian he said it's

simple he said use proven success

methods he said learn from the experts

he said Brian you'll never live long

enough to learn it all for yourself so

what I find is that successful people

are those who learn from others who've

gone before them unsuccessful people try

to make it all up like a cook going into

the kitchen taking ingredients out of

the cupboards throwing them all in a

bowl and wondering why it doesn't taste

good this is why people sales careers by

80% of sales people are functioning well

below their potential only 20% make all

the money by 20% of businesses in any

industry make all the profits by 20% of

the

professionals in any service make 80% of

the money and so on it's because they

follow proven success principles proven

recipes proven formulas proven

combinations and they just do them over

and over again until they master them

then they can do more and more of them

faster and faster easier and easier at a

higher level of quality and all that

translates into greater results kind of

following up on that obviously what it

says to me if I'm going to get the

recipe for success I'm going to have to

find some people who already have

mastered the recipe so to speak this

morning you talked about getting around

the right people and how important that

was which sounds like kind of the same

thing I find the recipe from the right

people outside of seminars like this

where are some places that if I'm

looking for the right people where can I

find the right people where am I going

to go find them out well there's two or

three parts of that first of all we are

where we are in what we are because of

the choices and decisions that we have

made in the past choices and decisions

with regard to the jobs we take the

people we work with the people we marry

live with socializing with the

investments we've made the uses of our

time and so we are where we and where we

are in what we are because of our

choices and decisions so the starting

point of change in our life is to make

new choices and decisions which requires

that we stop making old choices and

decisions that are not helping us in

other words to get into something new

you've got to get out of something old

to start associating with positive

people you've got to stop associating

with people who are not helping you and

you in many cases people realize they're

going to have to break off old

friendships break out of relationships

I've seen this happen countless of times

quit jobs stop associating with negative

family members who are constantly

critical is you're going to have to

reorient yourself to more positive

people

now the third principle that's so

important is this is that there's a law

of attraction in the universe that says

that you attract into your life people

and circumstances in harmony with your

own thinking so if you start to read

really good material said

and commit to your own personal

development strive to become good at

what you're doing

listen to positive audio programs

associate with positive people like at

this seminar what happens is you set up

a force field of energy that is

invisible but it tracks into your life

people circumstances possibilities

opportunities that would not have been

there in the absence of your own change

thinking so all three conspire stop

making bad decisions start making good

decisions start associating with people

who are encouraged you are in harmony

with what you think and then Trust to

this law of attraction to bring the

right people into your life right I know

you've written about that and the power

of thinking the power of thought I've

begun to make those changes in my life

I'm very serious about I'm very

dedicated by but I'm surrounded by some

unsupportive people that I'm not ready

to end a relationship with maybe a

spouse maybe it's because in the past I

haven't followed through on some of the

things and they think this is just

another one of those things what would

you suggest I do how would I handle how

do I keep that proper balance for

instance in my thinking being positive

and at the same time I'm someone very

close to me that can have a negative

impact what do i do until that person

comes around well there's the natural

tendency when we hear or learn something

great is we want to convince everybody

else of it and you see this people who

quit smoking suddenly want there to be

no smoking in the world people who adopt

a religion or a political philosophy

want everybody to join the next day but

the very best thing as I mentioned

earlier in our seminar is that you must

teach men at the school of example for

they will learn it no other so what you

need to do is be an example and be an

example for an extended period of time

give yourself to three months maybe a

year of being the new person when you go

on a diet don't insist that everybody

else go on a diet the next day actually

go on the diet stay on the diet lose the

weight achieve the level of financial

fitness and attract people so they come

to you and say what is it that you're

doing or what is it that you're reading

or what is it that you have it makes you

different only then when they reach out

do offer to

the flip side of this is that in the

main people don't change you can change

and you'll find it much easier to change

of your with positive people very hard

to change with people who don't want you

to change you want you to be the person

that you were but in the main people

don't change so so sooner or later in

life you're often going to have to make

some hard choices in the short term be

the person as as Gandhi said be the

change you want to see in the world be

the kind of person that you want to see

and if that does not bring people around

then be prepared to go to the next step

be prepared to walk away something

interesting that you've taught on that I

found remarkable was you said that if

you write a goal down increase your

chances of success by a thousand percent

by ten to overwhelming now next to that

when it comes to goal-setting what's the

most important thing I do I've got it

written down

obviously that's got power if it's going

to increase mods a success ten times

what's the next thing the next biggest

thing in that process well there's a

process which has made more people rich

than any other single process of goals

achieving and it's to take your major

goal and structure it as a question if

your goal is to earn $100,000 a year

then you write how can I earn $100,000

in the next 12 months now it's an

open-ended question not how can I earn

it at my job or doing a specific thing

just an open-ended question how can I

earn the amount of money and then you

discipline yourself to write 20 answers

to the question and the 20 answers are

all the different things that you could

think of to earn a hundred thousand

dollars work a longer work harder

upgrade my skills just get a new job

would take a part-time opportunity

whatever it happens to be write down

everything you could think of but force

yourself to write at least 20 questions

or 20 answers to the question the 20

question method called mind storming

forces you to dig deep deep into your

mind where you will find all your

answers and it may be call a person read

a book let me give you an example we had

a young fellow entrepreneur 35 years old

he built

successful business he worked about ten

years to do it and he for two years

wanted to sell his business so he could

take a year off and travel enjoy his

money and so for two years he just sort

of floundered around like a fish on the

dock wanting to sell his business nobody

offered to buy it he suggested it to

people people were not interested and so

on and in this exercise that they put

him through

his twentieth answer and often it's the

20th answer that is the breakthrough was

buy a book on how to sell your own

business and it just went off like a

flashbulb in his mind had to break he

got up as a downtown hotel got up went

down to the street to a major bookstore

went and found he was amazed at the

number of books have been written on how

to buy and sell a business so he bought

two or three books two months later he

had restructured packages business sold

it completely satisfactory and took a

year off he said but it's just a single

idea it was a breakthrough idea but it

was so simple just get a book on the

subject and you think boy that's pretty

obvious yes but it's the most obvious

answers that we overlooked I know that

you've built a lot of companies I know

you coached a lot of people who built

great companies you've been an

inspiration and mentor to a lot of

people I'm a person who I've gone

through maybe perhaps your goals

exercises you have very thorough goals

exercise I'll put my goals down I've got

all the objectives in the task lined out

and I just can't seem to get started in

90 days passed by and I still haven't

gotten started now I'm at the point

where I'm starting to beat myself up and

all what's the key after I've got the

mechanics so to speak in place what

what's the what can I look for wearing

and where can I look for it to get

started this is one of the biggest of

all challenges it's procrastinating on

starting on a major goal and the way

that you overcome it one of many ways is

you break the goal down into as many

small steps as you possibly can you make

a list of every single step that you're

going to have to take to achieve the

goal from the first one of clearing your

desk or reading a chapter in a book or

making a phone call or working out a

financial plan

so what you do is you break it down into

small enough steps Henry Ford said the

biggest tasks in the world can be

accomplished if broken down into enough

small steps and once you've broken it

down into enough small steps just do one

step so you know of all of these steps

there are 5 minute 10 minute steps have

all of these steps what would be a good

place to start and then you do just one

thing and maybe the next day you do just

one more thing and what happens within

the mind is there's a natural momentum

but once you get into the rhythm you

start to move forward and pretty soon

you're doing the next step and the next

step in the next step and so on I had a

good friend who had for years wanted to

write a business book and he was working

from the 7 or 8 the morning till 9 or 10

o'clock at night had never had the

energy to write it so he finally said

I'm going to write this book so I'm

going to write it one page at a time so

he rescheduled his life so he came home

earlier went to bed by 9 o'clock got up

at 5 o'clock and wrote one page that's

all by the end of the year he had a 350

page book and he published the book and

it became a great success but it was

just writing one page a day that enabled

him to write a best-seller

- Hydra's last base is here.

In the Alps, 500 feet below the surface.

So what are we supposed to do?

I mean, it's not like we can just knock on the front door.

Why not?

That's exactly what we're going to do.

Arrogance may not be a uniquely American trait,

but I must say, you do it better than anyone.

But there are limits

to what even you can do, Captain.

Or did Erskine tell you otherwise? He told me you were insane.

He resented my genius

and tried to deny me what was rightfully mine.

But he gave you everything.

So,

what made you so special?

Nothing.

I'm just a kid from Brooklyn.

I can do this all day.

Of course you can, of course.

But, unfortunately, I am on a tight schedule.

So am I.

Rogers! You might need this!

Thanks!.(CoolestClips4K)

Sit down.

- What is this? - Steak.

What is in it?

Cow.

Doctor, do you realize how difficult it is

to get ahold of a prime cut like that out here?

I don't eat meat.

Why not?

It disagrees with me.

How about cyanide? Does that give you the rumbly tummy, too?

Every Hydra agent that we've tried to take alive

has crunched a little pill before we can stop him. But not you.

So, here is my brilliant theory.

You want to live.

You're trying to intimidate me, Colonel.

I bought you dinner.

"Given the valuable information he has provided

"and in exchange for his full cooperation,

"Dr. Zola is being remanded to Switzerland"?

I sent that message to Washington this morning, of course it was encoded.

You guys haven't broken those codes, have you? That would be awkward.

Schmidt will know this is a lie.

He's going to kill you anyway, Doc. You're a liability.

You know more about Schmidt than anyone.

And the last guy you cost us was Captain Rogers' closest friend,

so I wouldn't count on the very best of protection.

It's you or Schmidt.

It's just the hand you've been dealt.

Schmidt believes he walks in the footsteps of the gods.

Only the world itself will satisfy him.

You do realize that's nuts, don't you?

What?

The sanity of the plan is of no consequence.

- And why is that? - Because he can do it!

What's his target?

His target

is everywhere.

Tomorrow,

Hydra will stand master of the world,

borne to victory on the wings of the Valkyrie.

Our enemies' weapons will be powerless against us.

If they shoot down one plane, hundreds more will rain fire upon them!

If they cut off one head,

two more shall take its place.

Hail Hydra.

Bill Maher Issues an Apology For Saying the N-Word - Duration: 1:40.

For Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

Bill Maher's use of the N word has sparked deserved outrage over his tasteless "joke"

while on live television with Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse.

During HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher, the comedian responded to the Senator's invitation

to work in the field with him.

Maher claimed his racial response was a joke but no one is laughing with him.

Saturday morning he issued an apology saying,

Friday nights are always my worst night of sleep because I'm up reflecting on the things

I should or shouldn't have said on my live show.

Last night was a particularly long night as I regret the word I used in the banter of

a live moment.

The word was offensive and I regret saying it and am very sorry.

HBO also issued a statement saying,

Bill Maher's comment last night was completely inexcusable and tasteless.

We are removing his deeply offensive comment from any subsequent airings of the show.

There is no word on if the network will suspend Maher for the offense which is not a suitable

response for a number of people, including Chance the Rapper and American civil rights

activist Deray McKesson.

Please @HBO Do Not Air Another Episode Of Real Time With Bill Maher.

Bill Maher would like us to believe that his use of the n-word is in joking solidarity.

But w/ whom?

He was talking about us, not w/ us.

Maher's show has been airing on HBO since 2003.

At 61 years old, the comedian is known for his sarcastic attitude, satire, and pushing

boundaries.

This is certainly not the first time he has caused outrage.

At this point it is not clear whether Maher will suffer any consequences for his choice

of words.

That's your news for now, for more of today's trending stories subscribe to Complex on YouTube.

India test fires Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile QR SAM from Odisha coast - Duration: 3:30.

A Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QR-SAM) was test fired by India on Sunday from Chandrapur

in Odisha.

As per reports, the QR-SAM was test fired from launch pad number 3 of Chandipur integrated

test range at 12.39 pm.

The Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QR-SAM) was jointly developed by the Defence

Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Bharat Electronics Limited.

As per reports, the missile system has the potential to engage multiple targets within

a range of approximately 30 km, with the configuration of two vehicles for area air defence.

As per reports, the missile is equipped to for quick reaction and the system is all weather

enabled, a network-centric one, which is also capable of search-on-the-move.

The missile is a truck-mounted one with 360 degree rotatable, electronic-mechanically

operated, turret-based launch unit.

Prior to today's test launch, India also tested a Surface to air PYthon and Derby (SPYDER)

Missile system in May.

As per reports, the missile system was tested at the Chandipur Integrated Test Range.

The system reportedly fired Python-5 and Derby missiles as its interceptors.

A highly maneuverable missile, the Python-5 missile has the feature of "lock-on after

launch".

The Derby is reportedly a developed version of Python-4, with an active feature of radar

homing.

WHAT IS SPYDER?

The SPYDER (Surface-to-air PYthon and DERby) is a low-level, quick reaction missile (LLQRM)

to neutralise hostile targets up to 15 km away and at heights between 20 and 9,000 metres.

The Python-5 is currently the most capable air-to-air missile (AAM) in Israel's inventory,

while the Derby is an active radar homing AAM that provides the SPYDER missile system

with a fireand-forget option.

The IAF will use the SPYDER along with the made-in-India Akash surface-to-air missile

which has a little longer effective range of 25 km as part of a layered approach to

defend vital assets and locations in the country," the sources stated.

The IAF has taken a slew of measures to strengthen its air defence capabilities in the recent

past as it is also going to deploy another air defence system called the Medium Range

Surface to Air Missile (MRSAM) system from Israel, which can strike down targets at 50-70km.

The force would receive a major boost when it starts getting the S-400 air defence missile

system from Russia, which can take out targets at 400 km and can be very effective against

enemy AWACS (Airborne Warning And Control System) and cruise missiles at great distances.

DIYS TO DO WHEN YOU'RE BORED OVER THE SUMMER | @karenkavett - Duration: 9:44.

So are you just hanging out this summer, super bored, don't know what to do with your life?

Today I have some really fun craft project ideas for you, but here's the thing.

I've seen a lot of videos like this where they give you a bunch of ideas but each one

is so simple that 20 minutes later you're just like, well I made the thing, now I'm

bored again.

So for this video, I came up with projects that are easy to do but they're probably

gonna take you all day to finish.

But before we get into it, I just want to remind you guys about my brand new mailing

list.

I'm sending out a weekly newsletter about all the different projects I'm working on

and some sneak peeks of what I've got coming up next.

So if you want to be a part of that, I'll put the link to sign up right down below.

Oh, and subscribe if you're new here, like this video, just kind of do everything, you

guys know the drill by now.

Alright, now that we're done with that self-promo, our first project are these fun triangle magnets.

This was inspired by Meg's geometric Christmas tree video over on HGTV Handmade, so I took

her pattern and I scaled it down so that I could fit nine triangles on each page.

I'll have this pattern linked right down below, so go ahead and print it out onto colored

cardstock.

Then cut out each of the shapes.

Now do you see all of these lines?

We're actually going to flip it over and score them on the other side.

Once you have all of those lines scored, make your folds and you can see the shape starting

to form.

Now you could use a glue stick to glue it together, but I found that it went faster

with wood glue, just like we used for the papercraft unicorn the other week.

Just apply some wood glue with a toothpick to each of the tabs and fold the triangle

into shape.

Then repeat that for however many you want to make in whatever colors you want to use.

To make them magnetic, you can buy 100 small magnets for $10 on Amazon, and I'll link

the ones that I'm using right down below.

Use some e6000 to glue a magnet to the back of each triangle and let them dry.

And then you can stick them up onto your fridge or your locker or any other magnetic surface

and it is so fun rearranging them into different designs and patterns.

It's so simple, but if you make enough of them, they really make a big impact.

Next we're going to be making another room decoration - this cute mini tassel garland

which is made out of - wait for it - duct tape.

So to make a tassel, cut two pieces of tape that are four inches long and stick them right

on top of each other.

Then trim the ends and trim about a quarter inch off of the bottom, and you should have

a shape that looks like this.

Now cut fringe into it, leaving about a quarter inch intact at the top.

The fringe doesn't have to be perfect, just try to make it fairly even.

Now you'll need an eyepin, which you can get in the jewelry section of the craft store.

Use wire cutters to cut it down.

Then cut a small piece of tape and have it ready to go, and cut another small piece of

tape to tape down the eye pin to the top corner of the fringe.

Now is the fun part - go ahead and roll up the fringe into a little teeny tiny tassel.

Wrap your small piece of tape around the top of the tassel and then kind of fluff out the

bottom.

And now you have made a tiny tassel out of duct tape.

Make as many of these as you want in as many different colors as you want, and then grab

some string.

Tie the string onto the eyepin of each tassel, trying to keep them evenly spaced.

And that's it.

Once you've tied them all on, you can hang it up and I think it is the perfect summertime

decoration.

Ok guys, this next project took me for-freakin-ever, but I think it came out so cute.

We're going to make this rug out of pom poms.

You'll want to start by making a pom pom, obviously.

Take some yarn and wrap it around something like this ruler which is 2 inches wide.

It doesn't have to be a ruler, you could cut a piece of cardboard to be about the same

size.

So once you've wrapped a bundle that is about this big, cut the yarn and also cut

another piece of yarn.

Then slide the bundle off of the ruler and place it right on top of that second piece

of yarn.

Tie the ends into a really tight knot, and then use scissors to cut through all of the

loops on the top and bottom.

This part is so satisfying, let me tell you.

Oh, and make sure that you're hanging onto the ends from that knot that you tied, because

you don't want to cut those.

Now kind of fluff all of the ends upwards away from the knot, and you can give it a

little haircut to make it more of a round shape.

And that's how that's how you make a pom pom.

Once again, repeat that over and over and over and over again.

So ok, we have all these pom poms, but how do you make them into a rug?

Well, let me tell you.

You're going to need a rug pad.

The one I bought is 2" by 3", and if you're super bored, you can totally make enough pom

poms to cover that entire thing.

But I didn't have quite that much free time, so I decided to cut mine down into a circle.

So now just take each pom pom, poke the ends from the knot through the rug pad, and tie

them together on the bottom of the rug.

Try to really get the pom poms tightly packed and right on top of each other so that your

rug is as fluffy as possible and you don't have any empty spaces.

Keep doing this until you've covered the entire rug.

And now you can put it by your bed and have a nice fluffy rug to step on every morning.

I'd recommend not walking on it in shoes because you don't want it to get all dirty,

but if you do need to clean it, hand wash it with gentle detergent so that you don't

ruin all of your hard work making this super cute rug.

But ok, we've made enough room decorations, now let's make some key chains.

I posted this photo of some Perler Bead key chains that I made the other week, and you

guys wanted to know how I did it.

Trust me, it's super easy.

Honestly, the hardest part is deciding what image you want to make.

My little trick is to go to Pinterest and search for Perler Bead patterns, and then

hundreds of different ideas will pop up that you can copy for your own key chain.

I searched for Perler Bead cupcake and I found these adorable designs, and I think it is

so relaxing to just sit there placing your beads just right until you've recreated

the image.

Once you have the beads in place, lay down a dishtowel and warm up your iron.

Place the ironing paper that came with the beads on top and then iron them until the

top layer is nice and melted.

Once it's cooled off a bit, take it off of the pegboard and flip it over.

Iron the other side until it's melted as well.

And then once it's cooled down completely, use a thumbtack to poke a hole into one of

the beads.

Thread a jump ring into it, and then you can attach more jump rings and a key chain.

And you're done.

I think this is so cute, and it would be a really fun activity to do with friends in

front of the air conditioning when it's too hot to go outside.

So I hope you guys liked those projects and I hope they cure your summertime boredom,

for at least a couple days.

One summer when I was really bored, I put together a nine thousand piece jigsaw puzzle,

so you know, that's an option too.

If that wasn't enough to hold you over and you want even more summertime DIY projects,

I actually put together an entire playlist for you.

You can learn how to make this papercraft unicorn, these hot glue pineapple key chains,

this monogram made out of coffee stirrers and so much more.

I'm gonna link that playlist right down below.

So remember to sign up for my mailing list if you want a sneak peek of everything I'm

working on next and if you watched all the way to the end of the video, leave a comment

with the words Flamingo Party and then I'll know that you watched the entire thing and

you can just imagine me giving you the most epic high five that has ever existed in the

entire world.

Happy crafting, I'll see you guys next time.

Dominate Local SEO By Placing Your Business in Google Maps - Duration: 4:16.

Hey down here down here down here is this thing on? Man you almost didn't even

see me with that huge map up there right? I mean.. that's crazy! Well that's

actually exactly what it's like with the search engines. Haha. You do a local search

for a business a product or service, the map pack is the first thing that shows

up. Now I don't know about you but I want to be in that map pack. The thing is, it

only shows three results. If you're not in that top three results in the map

pack then you have to fend for the organic listings down here. I don't know

about you but I want to be in the top three and, actually, I know how to get it

done! But enough talk let me actually show you what I mean.

Hold on, let me get to my computer. Well that was fun wasn't it? Now I know you may

be thinking that you know how important it is to be in the map pack but do you

really? I mean do you really understand the potential? Well just in case you

weren't aware, let me show you some quick stats that will absolutely blow your

mind. The number one reason for doing an online search is to find the location

for a known business. Meaning the people already know about you but they're find-

they're trying to find your location, where are they going to find that?

Obviously they're going to find that in the map pack right? Now 97% of consumers

use internet when researching local products or services. That's a big big

percentage don't you think? 98% of searchers choose a business that is on

page one of the results they get. hmm. Isn't the top three in the map pack on

the first page? Wow! Even above the organic listings. Pretty cool! Now Google

'near me' searches have increased by two times over the past year alone. You know

what I'm talking about, like what's an ice cream shop near me? What's the best

restaurant place near me? Is there a pizza place near me? Auto

dealer near me...you know you get the gist. And 86% look up the location of a

business on Google Maps. Google Maps is actually the number one app when it

comes to looking for locations and businesses locally. Now how about some

more mind-blowing local search stats? 88% of consumers consult online reviews

before they purchase local services. Now you'll notice that in the map packs

there's these cool little stars underneath the listing of each listing

that has reviews. Now if you have a 5 out of 5 stars

on those reviews that stands out immensely over all of the competitors.

And we know how to give you those too! 77% of smartphone users contact a

business after looking for local information. You know it's a well-known

fact that 75% of all search is done on mobile devices now. That's that's putting

the percentages in your favor if you ask me. 73% of people say

they lose trust in a local business when an online local listing for that

business is incorrect. So if your listing is incorrect in Google Maps. If it has

the wrong address, the wrong phone number, something is off a little bit, you might

lose trust with some of those customers. Which is not a good thing, right?

Now this is my favorite one! 59% of mobile users who look for

local information visit the business on the same day, with 20% making

the decision to purchase. That is astronomical! So you definitely want to

get your business in front of as many of those people as you can and the best

place to do that is in the map pack. You know, let's face it, the map pack is the

single most important place your business can be. You can be ranked #1

organically all you want but you're still going to be #4 if there

are map listings for that keyword, right? But, there is good news! We can place your

business in the top three of the map pack so you get seen before anyone else!

Wanna know how? Contact us today and we'll show you how we can bring your

business to the top!
