How to Pronounce LOOSE & LOSE American English Pronunciation Lesson - Duration: 2:24.

pronunciation question

today's question is how do i pronounce

the words lose and loose this is a very

common request that I've gotten recently

so i thought i'd make a video for you

and let's take a look at this it's very

confusing because of the spelling but

actually these two words are very easy

to pronounce so let's take a look at the

first word lose to not win and the

second word loose meaning not tight so

both words are going to start with an L

and the long ew sound yes L and long EW

even know this is spelled with an O and

this is spelled with 2 o's different

spelling same pronunciation so to start

both of these words touch the tip of

your tongue to the back of your top

front teeth pull it down and then add

that long ew vowel by puckering your lips

lew it's kind of like the guys name the

beginning part next what you're going to

do to differentiate these words this is

the difference here you're going to say

a Z sound for lose and an S sound for

loose your tongue and your mouth are

going to do the exact same thing the tip

of your tongue is going to be behind

your top front teeth but not touching

and the air is going to be continuing

out of your mouth the differences for

the Z sound your voice box for your

throat is going to be vibrating for the

s sound it is not so we have Z and S so let's

try these words lose loose lose loose

Today we are going to discuss: Precautions before breast surgery.

In this channel we discuss everything related to breast surgery.

Welcome back!

Like all other surgical interventions, breast surgery requires a thorough preparation before the procedure.

Failure to observe both pre-operative and post-operative measures can lead to health risks,

as well as alter the aesthetic results.

For this reason, it is important to strictly follow the preventive measures given by the doctor.

Each breast cosmetic procedure comes with their own unique set of preoperative precautions,

which depends on many factors.

The operative plan is based on the discussions between the patient and the plastic surgeon.

An experienced surgeon will tell the patient the pros and cons of the surgery,

as well as the various techniques that can be used.

By doing so, the patient can better communicate their expectations.

It is important for patients to be aware of the limitations beforehand,

otherwise it may only lead to dissatisfaction.

In addition, the plastic surgeon should inform the patient about the pre-operative and

post-operative requirements because it is just as impactful to the results.

For example, you will have to avoid smoking or taking anti-inflammatory medication before

and after surgery for a certain period of time.

Aside from this, the surgeon will need to conduct medical or physical examination

to determine whether or not you are a good candidate for the surgery.

The patient should complete the preoperative screening tests and submit the results to the plastic surgeon

as soon as possible before undergoing the surgery.

Similarly, consultation with the anesthesiologist should take place no later than 48 hours before the surgery.

As part of the preparation, the patient should not take any medication containing aspirin

or anti-inflammatory drugs, birth control pills or any natural supplements

for a period of 15 days before the surgery.
