Eugene Robinson Writes That President Trump Is 'Out of Control' | Morning Joe | MSNBC - Duration: 5:32.
>>> WELCOME BACK TO "MORNING JOE."
JOINING US FOR THE MUST-READ OP EDS, ASSOCIATE EDITOR OF "THE
WASHINGTON POST" AND MSNBC POLITICAL ANALYST EUGENE
ROBINSON. YOU CAME ON A GOOD DAY.
WE'RE READING YOUR OP ED. >> HOW ABOUT IT, WILLIE?
>> YOU WRITE THAT TRUMP IS OUT OF CONTROL.
GENE WRITES THE STATEMENTS PRESIDENT TRUMP ISSUED ON
TWITTER IN RECENT DAYS LEAD TO A CHILLING CONCLUSION.
THE MAN IS OUT OF CONTROL. I KNOW THAT'S A RADICAL THING TO
SAY ABOUT THE ELECTED LEADER OF THE UNITED STATES, THE MOST
POWERFUL INDIVIDUAL IN THE WORLD.
I KNOW HIS UNORTHODOX USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA IS THOUGHT BY SOME,
INCLUDING THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF, TO BE BRILLIANT.
BUT I DON'T SEE POLITICAL GENIUS IN THE INVECTIVE COMING FROM
TRUMP THESE DAYS. I SEE AN ANGRY MAN LASHING OUT
AT ENEMIES REAL AND IMAGINED. WE ALREADY KNEW HE HAD A NARROW
MIND AND A SMALL HEART. NOW WE MUST WONDER ABOUT HIS
EMOTIONAL STABILITY, HIS GRASP OF REALITY OR BOTH.
GENE, THAT'S ALONG THE LINES OF SOME OF THE THINGS SAID AROUND
THE TABLE, HE'S NOT JUST ACTING OUT BUT AGAINST HIS OWN
SELF-INTEREST WITH MANY OF THESE TWEETS.
>> WHAT ELSE CAN YOU SAY, WILLIE.
AT FIRST, ONE POINT THAT REALLY HAS TO BE MADE IS THESE TWITTER
TWEET STORMS. WE CALL THEM TWEETS AND THAT
MINIMIZES THEM. THESE ARE STATEMENTS FROM THE
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. THESE ARE STATEMENTS WRITTEN BY
THE HAND, BY THE TINY THUMBS OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED
STATES AND THEY'RE GOING TO HAVE TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT, I
BELIEVE, BY THE SUPREME COURT, FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN IT DECIDES ON
THE TRAVEL BAN. YOU COULD ARGUE THAT WHAT HE
SAID DURING THE CAMPAIGN, MAYBE YOU CAN FIND SOME WAY TO
OVERLOOK IT. YOU CAN'T OVERLOOK WHAT HE SAYS
AS A SITTING PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
IT'S ABOUT HIS OWN EXECUTIVE ORDER.
I THINK THAT ISSUE PROBABLY IS OFF THE TABLE FOR HIM.
HE KEEPS DAMAGING HIMSELF, AGAIN, WHAT HE SAID ABOUT
LONDON, IT'S JUST OUTRAGEOUS AND OFFENSIVE TO ME AS AN AMERICAN
AS YOU LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED IN LONDON AND HOW IT'S BEEN HANDLED
BY MAYOR KHAN OVER THERE. IT'S AS IF HE'S NOT IN CONTROL.
THAT'S WHY THE HEADLINE, HE'S OUT OF CONTROL.
>> NOT IN CONTROL, OUT OF CONTROL.
DONNY DEUTSCH, THERE'S A LINE HERE THAT GENE WROTE.
A MAN DANGEROUSLY OVERWHELMED. I THINK THAT'S OBVIOUS.
HE IS OVERWHELMED AND HE IS SO OVERWHELMED.
HE NOW UNDERSTANDS THAT HE UNDERESTIMATED HOW DIFFICULT
THIS WAS. ALL OF THEM, EVERYBODY AROUND
DONALD TRUMP UNDERESTIMATED JUST HOW DIFFICULT THIS JOB IS GOING
TO BE, AND NOW HE FINDS HIMSELF IN THE MIDDLE OF A STORM HAVING
TO GET LAWYERS, POSSIBLY FACING CRIMINAL SANCTIONS, AND HE IS
DANGEROUSLY OVERWHELMED. I GUESS WHAT IS MOST CONCERNING
IS THAT WHEN IN THIS DANGER, HE'S REACHING OUT AND GETTING
SUPPORT FROM STEVE BANNON, THE VERY GUY THAT HAS CAUSED MOST OF
THESE PROBLEMS, THE VERY MAN WHO HAS ISOLATED HIM NOT ONLY IN THE
WHITE HOUSE, BUT IN WASHINGTON, D.C. AND ACROSS THE WORLD.
>> YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT KING BANNON -- IS IT KING BANNON OR
PRESIDENT BANNON? I ALWAYS GET CONFUSED.
>> IT'S LITERALLY PRESIDENT BANNON BECAUSE HE'S BEEN SOLD A
BILL OF GOODS BY THIS HUXSTER SAYING, HEY, THIS IS WHAT YOU
NEED TO DO. PRESIDENT BANNON IS NOW SITTING
AT 36% IN THE POLLS, 37%. IT CAN'T GET MUCH WORSE.
THESE ARE HISTORICALLY LOW POLL NUMBERS FOR SOMEBODY AT THIS
STAGE OF THE PRESIDENCY. >> HERE IS MY QUESTION, AND YOU
TOUCHED ON THIS EARLIER. CLEARLY IN ALL DIFFERENT SHAPES
AND FORMS WE'RE SAYING THIS GUY IS CERTAINLY NOT WELL, NOT
MENTALLY STABLE. SO THERE ARE CERTAIN PEOPLE OF
GRAVITAS AROUND HIM, McMASTER, MATTIS, GARY KOHN, DINA POWELL.
I WONDER IF AT ANY POINT IN TIME AS PATRIOTS SOME OF THESE PEOPLE
RAISE THEIR HAND AND SAY SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT HERE.
I KNOW ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE SOLID PEOPLE WITH GRAVITAS, WITH
RESUMES, WITH FAMILIES, AND OBVIOUSLY ARE WELL INTENTIONED.
YOU JUST WONDER DO ANY OF THOSE PEOPLE AT ANY POINT IN TIME FOR
THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY, BECAUSE THEY CAN'T RAISE THEIR HAND TO
THE PRESIDENT, BUT RAISE THEIR HAND TO THE REST OF US THAT
SOMETHING IS TROUBLING HERE. >> DONNY, WE HAVE AN EVENT
COMING UP ON THURSDAY. WE HAVE JAMES COMEY'S TESTIMONY.
AND I WAS WONDERING YESTERDAY WHETHER, IN ADDITION TO WHATEVER
HE SAYS ABOUT HIS CONVERSATIONS WITH THE PRESIDENT ABOUT THE
RUSSIA THING, I ALSO WONDER IF HE WILL, FRANKLY, ADDRESS HIS
IMPRESSIONS OF THE PRESIDENT. THIS IS SOMEONE WHO WHO HAS SOM
GRAVITAS AND EXPERIENCE HERE. PEOPLE LIKE HIM AND DON'T LIKE
HIM, BUT HE'S A SERIOUS GUY.

MY WATCH COLLECTION – FINALLY REVEALED! - Duration: 8:21.
[opening music]
Alright guys, so, many people have requested from me to show my watch collection and I
figured it's about time I give you guys a sneak peak to some of the watches that I own.
So let's get this started...
[funky music]
For the first watch, AP Safari.
Now, let me tell you something about this piece.
This is a special piece to me.
And the reason is...is because it was the first AP that I ever owned and it was a major
battle fought to get this watch.
It was not easy.
It was a lot of money at the time for me, and I have right now here on a bracelet, but
I also own the deployant clasp, along with the rubber and leather straps, so I pretty
much got the full set with this one.
[funky music]
Alright, now I'm gonna show you another one of my favorite watches in stainless steel...is
Rolex Batman, also known as the BLNR.
You know, maybe I'll say some crazy things about this watch.
This is a special watch for me to, because I feel like it's one of those watches that
I get a lot of use out of, when I don't wanna wear an overly expensive stainless steel watch.
This piece seems to do it.
You know...it's something different and it's a watch I take on vacation a lot.
[funky music]
Alright, now we're gonna go over to this Hublot Big Bang.
I don't know what's happened, you know?
Things happen.
Somehow I ended up with this watch.
At one moment I thought it was something special and now it's not.
It's kind of like an old girlfriend, you know what I mean?
It's one of those things.
It's kind of just keep it buried down there.
[funky music]
Yacht-Master II in stainless steel.
Now let me tell you something about this watch.
I don't know what it is.
Call me crazy, but I like this one right here better than the all-gold and the two-tone.
As you can see, I have nothing here in two-tone.
I've pretty much just little by little washed it all out, so I haven't gotten...I kind of
traded them up and am all just steel, carbon or gold at this moment.
But this right here, this right here is a special watch and I just feel like, every
time I wear it, I don't know man...it's the most expensive stainless steel Rolex, so for
me, besides the aesthetic look for it, I just like it man.
It's one of the ones that I use the most when I'm out on the boat or just...kind of just
chilling with jeans and stuff.
You know what I mean?
[funky music]
Alright, so the AP Carbon.
Now, this right here, believe it or not, believe it or not, this might be probably my favorite
watch in this whole collection.
It's not the most expensive or the most flashy, but something about this watch that just kills
me man.
I don't know if it's just the price of it, you know?
Knowing that it's so expensive and it's like a glorified G-Shock, but it's also the watch
that I wear that I get the least amount of attention to the people that you don't want
the attention.
So, this is not the watch you wanna wear to Club Eleven in Miami, unless you're gonna
be getting crazy in Club Eleven in Miami and maybe this is the one you wanna wear.
It's an underline statement man.
[laughter]
[funky music]
Panerai PAM 104.
This watch was given to me by my father and I have the best dad in the world.
I got into watches because of my dad and my uncle.
They're collectors.
I definitely have gotten more into the advanced level, but back in the day, there wasn't so
many watches like this today.
Funny story about this watch.
One day, I get home to my parents house.
At that time I was living with my parents and my dad is outside washing his car with
this exact watch on.
Now, yes it's waterproof, but it has an alligator band.
I get out and I say, Dad, what are you doing?! And he said, What do you mean?
I'm washing the car. I'm like, You're wetting the strap up.
You're going to ruin the alligator strap. He goes, But alligators live in the water.
I'm like, Yeah, but when it's alive.
The alligator is dead now.
You know?
You're ruining the strap. And he just laughed his ass off and took the watch off.
Told me to put it inside for him.
That's a funny story.
[funky music]
So, one of my more heavy hitter watches that are in stainless steel would have to be the
Patek 5726.
Now, this is a bad ass watch.
I can't afford right now yet to have crazy ass platinum or 40th Anniversary white gold
Patek, so this would have to do.
I love it because it's on a strap, so I could use it to go formal and semi-casual.
Man, this is a beautiful watch, you know?
It's something that just fits nice and the overall look of it is always been one of my
more favorite looking watches, you know?
It's the thickest Nautilus they made without it being a Chrono and when you go and you
start shopping around for your Nautilus, you'll see what I'm saying.
[funky music]
Can't forget the Sub.
No collection is complete without the Rolex Submariner.
This is a watch that...man when all hell fails, this is the one to wear.
I'm not gonna lie.
I don't wear it so much.
I feel like I've been cheating on it with the Batman for the last year, but nevertheless,
it's a watch that I'll always have and maybe one day pass it on to a son or something like
that.
It's one of those pieces.
It's a watch you have to have.
[funky music]
Time to make some noise.
This particular watch is what I consider more my heavy hitter.
It's crazy because I actually sold my Day-Date II yellow gold to partially fund this monster
and being that I'm OCD, especially with my watches, I kind of feel like I barely wear
it because I just don't wanna beat it up.
This is the watch that definitely gets the attention.
When you want attention, this is it right here, you know?
It's attention without overdoing it.
I don't know how to explain it, you know?
It's almost like a murdered out Aventador.
That's the way I like to put it.
[funky music]
Well, look what we have here!
Let me tell you something.
This watch right here is probably at the moment my pinnacle in the collection.
I have a bunch of other watches and some that I don't have here today, but this is probably
my Grail watch at the moment and it's a Patek 5980.
As much as I like the all-gold one on the bracelet, I feel like this is my favorite.
I like the contrast of the sub-dial and I barely get to wear it, just because I feel
like it's...it might be too much watch for me right now, but then again, Hey, at least
you got it!
So what do you guys think of my collection?
Tell me on the comments section of the video.
Also, what kind of watches do you have in your collection?
My name is Eric.

Connie Britton On 'Beatriz at Dinner,' 'Nashville,' 'Friday Night Lights' Reunion | TODAY - Duration: 5:19.
>>> CONNIE BRITTON HAS A KNACK FOR PORTRAYING UNFORGETTABLE
CHARACTERS. SHE WAS ON THE TEXAS FOOTBALL
DRAMA, "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHT." HER CHARACTER'S SHOCKING EXIT ON
"NASHVILLE" WHERE SHE PLAYED RAYNA JAMES.
>> NOW, CONNIE IS STARRING IN THE FILM "BEATRICE AT DINNER."
AND THE HOSTEST OF A MEMORABLE EVENING.
TAKE A LOOK. >> I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.
>> STAY HERE. >> I FEEL BAD.
>> WHAT? >> DON'T YOU EVER FEEL BAD.
YOU CAN STAY HERE IN TARA'S ROOM.
>> ARE YOU SURE? >> I INSIST.
>> THANK YOU. >> THE ONLY THING I ASK IS THAT
YOU TAKE TARA'S GUITARS AND PLAY FOR DINNER.
>> I HAVE TO CALL MY FRIEND TO CHECK ON MY DOGIES AND MY GOAT.
>> OH, YEAH. DO THAT.
>> CONNIE BRITTON, GOOD MORNING. >> GOOD MORNING.
>> THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE CAST. AND SOMETIMES UNCOMFORTABLE TO
WATCH. BUT PURPOSELY DONE THAT WAY.
>> IT IS. ONE OF THE MORE UNCOMFORTABLE
DINNER PARTIES. IT IS A FUN STORY.
THE CAST IS INCREDIBLE. THE SCRIPT IS WRITTEN BY MIKE
WHITE. IT'S ABOUT PEOPLE HAVING TO FACE
THEIR OWN HUMANITY AND THEIR OWN VALUE SYSTEMS.
>> PREJUDICES. >> YOU KNOW, AND IT'S ABOUT
GREED. SELMA IS -- EVERY ACTOR IS
AMAZING. AND I GIVE CREDIT TO OUR
DIRECTOR, MIGUEL ARTETA. >> I'M NOT IN THE FILM.
IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE FILMS I'VE SEEN ALL YEAR.
ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF THE YEAR.
I HONESTLY SAY THAT. IT'S HARD IN COMEDY TO MAKE
THINGS THAT YOU CAN TELL, YOU WANT TO GO BIG.
IT'S RIGHT THERE. AND YOU CAN --
>> AND ESPECIALLY WITH MIKE WHITE'S WRITING, WE WANTED TO SO
BADLY. THERE WERE SO MANY FUNNY LINES.
WE WANTED TO PUNCH THEM. YOU KNOW?
AND MIGUEL, THE DIRECTOR, HE FELT IT WAS REALLY IMPORTANT FOR
US NOT TO GO THERE. HE DID NOT WANT TO MAKE THE
CHARACTERS INTO CLICHES. EVERY CHARACTER NEEDED TO FEEL
LIKE A FLESHED OUT HUMAN BEING. AND IT MAKES THE STORY SO MUCH
STRONGER AND PALPABLE. >> LIKE MY NUANCED WORK IN
"HANGOVER 2." >> I CHANNELED YOU A COUPLE
TIMES. >> IS THIS BANGKOK MONKEY?
OR "THE HANGOVER 3" CREDIT MAN
MONKEY. >> I WOULD THINK TO MYSELF,
MONKEY. TO PULL FROM ALL OF IT.
>> WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK FROM "INSIDE THE ASIAN ACTORS
STUDIO." STARRING MONKEY.
OKAY? >> WOW.W.
JUST BEFORE THEY SHUT US DOWN HERE.
>> FOREVER. >> SO, "NASHVILLE."
>> THERE'S NOTHING ABOUT AN ACTOR KNOWING WHEN IT'S TIME TO
EXIT AND YOUR CHARACTER -- I'M GOING TO GET CALLS FROM PEOPLE
THAT HAVEN'T SEEN THE ENDING. >> WELL, I MEAN, THEY PROBABLY
HEARD. IF THEY'RE FANS AND COMMITTED TO
THE SHOW, THEY HAVE A SENSE. >> WHY DID YOU DECIDE IT WAS
TIME TO GO? >> THERE WERE DIFFERENT REASONS.
SOME WERE CREATIVE. AND SOME WERE PERSONAL.
BUT FOR ME, WHAT WAS REALLY IMPORTANT WAS DOING IT IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE WRITERS. DOING IT IN A SPACE AND TIME
THAT FELT RIGHT AND APPROPRIATE FOR THE SHOW.
WE SPENT A LOT OF TIME FIGURING OUT HOW THAT'S GOING TO WORK.
IT WAS HARD AND SAD FOR EVERYBODY.
BUT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE FANS OF THE SHOW, LOVE THE SHOW SO MUCH.
THEY LOVE THE CHARACTERS SO MUCH.
AND "NASHVILLE" IS A RICH WORLD. IT CAN GO ON INDEFINITELY.
>> I LOVE THAT. CONNIE, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
>> THANK YOU. WHAT WAS THAT?
>> YOUR ONE THOUGHT. >> I THOUGHT THE ENDING WAS
BEAUTIFUL. I'M A BIG FAN OF YOUR WORK.
NOT JUST BECAUSE YOU MENTIONED MY INFLUENCE ON YOU.
>> BUT THAT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT.
I UNDERSTAND THAT. >> ANY CHANCE OF A "FRIDAY NIGHT
LIGHTS" REUNION? >> YOU KNOW, I JUST SAW KYLE
CHANDLER SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF ME THAT WE'RE NOT DOING A
REUNION. AND I THOUGHT THIS TIME IT WAS
BECAUSE OF HIM. MY FEELING IS, LISTEN.
>> YOU'RE OPEN TO IT? >> I LOVE KYLE.
I'M JUST SAYING I DON'T WANT TO BE THE HOLDOUT HERE.
>> GAVIN, GET KYLE ON THE PHONE. >> I'LL PLAY THE FOOTBALL.
>> UP TO YOU,

Witness To Notre Dame Incident Describes The Scene | MSNBC - Duration: 4:41.
TRUCK THAT RAN OVER INNOCENT BYSTANDERS.
CHRIS, WE WANT YOU TO STAY WITH US.
WE ALSO HAVE ABIGAIL MILLER, AN AMERICAN, A TOURIST VISITING
PARIS AND WITNESS LIVE ON THE SCENE.
WHAT DO YOU KNOW? >> I'M SORRY.
CAN YOU REPEAT THAT QUESTION? >> TELL US, WHAT DO YOU KNOW?
>> SO I WAS ACROSS THE STREET, HAD JUST LEFT NOTRE DAME.
IT SOUNDED LIKE TWO GUNSHOTS WENT OFF AND THEN SAW CROWDS
FLEEING. THE POLICE RESPONDED RIGHT AWAY.
THEY WERE RUNNING INTO THE AREA. THERE HAD BEEN LARGE CROWDS IN
THE AREA. A BIG LINE OUT FRONT.
AS EVERYONE WAS RUNNING OUT, THE POLICE WERE RUNNING IN.
THEY HAD SECTIONED OFF THE STREETS AND HAD MOVED THE --
MOVED THAT QUARANTINE BIT DOWN THE ROAD.
IT SEEMED LIKE THE FIREFIGHTERS SHOWED UP, EMERGENCY SERVICES,
WITHIN A MATTER OF MINUTES. THEY WERE VERY BRAVE.
I THINK THE POLICE DID A FANTASTIC JOB.
THEY GOT EVERYBODY OUT, SECURED THE AREA AND DID SO WITHOUT
YELLING AT ANYBODY OR RAISING ANYONE'S FEAR LEVEL.
>> ARE YOU NEARBY STILL? >> I AM.
I'M STARING AT THE CHURCH RIGHT NOW.
>> CHRIS DICKEY WAS JUST WITH US AND SAID THERE ISN'T A SENSE OF
PANIC AROUND THERE, BUT AROUND YOU, ARE YOU SEEING AN INCREASED
POLICE PRESENCE OR ARE THEY MOSTLY CONCENTRATED AROUND THE
CHURCH? >> YOU KNOW, THEY WERE WITHIN
PROBABLY THE FIRST BLOCK OF THE CHURCH.
I CAN STILL SEE THEM. THEY'RE STILL OUT, AND THEY'RE
NOT LETTING CARS DRIVE IMMEDIATELY, YOU KNOW, AROUND,
BUT IT'S CALMED DOWN QUITE A BIT NOW.
PEOPLE WEREN'T THAT PANICKED. THE CROWDS, AS THEY RAN OUT,
SEEMED TO BE SCARED, OBVIOUSLY. PEOPLE WERE RUNNING WITH THEIR
HANDS UP. NOT EVERYBODY THOUGH.
MOST OF THEM WERE NOT. FROM THERE, IT WAS THE MILITARY
AND THE POLICE.
>> ANYONE ARRESTED? >> NOT THAT I CAN SEE.
>> DID YOU -- WHAT WAS YOUR THOUGHT WHEN IT HAPPENED?
I MEAN, IT'S EVERYWHERE AROUND THE WORLD, PEOPLE ARE THINKING
ABOUT, OBVIOUSLY, THE LONDON ATTACK AND THE MANCHESTER
ATTACKS. WHAT WAS YOUR INSTINCT WHEN YOU
SAW THIS? DID YOU THINK IT WAS SOMEBODY
GETTING INTO AN ALTERCATION WITH THE POLICE, OR DID YOUR MIND GO
TO TERRORISM? >> I THINK THAT EVERYBODY IS ON
THE ALERT, RIGHT? WE WERE JUST IN THE CHURCH AND
WE HAD JUST LEFT THE AREA, SO IT WAS VERY FRIGHTENING.
YOU KNOW, CLOSE CALL FOR US. I HOPE EVERYBODY ELSE WAS SAFE.
YOU KNOW, OF COURSE, EVERYONE IS A LITTLE ON EDGE SO, YES, THAT
WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS THAT I THOUGHT OF.
BUT, YOU KNOW, THE POLICE ACTUALLY DID A FANTASTIC JOB OF
NOT RAISING THE ALARM. EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE A LOT OF
POLICE AROUND, IT'S CALMED DOWN QUITE A BIT NOW.
THE SIRENS AREN'T GOING ANY LONGER.
THEY'VE DONE A -- I THINK THEY RESPONDED IN A FANTASTIC MANNER.
>> HOW LONG ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BE IN PARIS?
>> I AM -- FOR A WEEK. >> ARE YOU GOING TO GO HOME OR
STAY? >> ABSOLUTELY NOT.
THEY'RE NOT GOING TO SCARE ME. >> GOOD FOR YOU.
ACTUALLY, THE PICTURES WE'RE SEEING, THEY PULLED OUT THE
PICTURE A BIT, BUT AS WE'VE BEEN LOOKING AT THE POLICE OFFICERS,
CERTAINLY DOESN'T LOOK LIKE AN ACTIVE SCENE.
DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THEY'RE WORRIED ABOUT SOMETHING.
WE'RE USED TO SEEING PICTURES WHERE IT IS CLEAR THE POLICE
HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN AN ALL CLEAR.
HERE, IT LOOKS LIKE A DIFFERENT SCENE.
>> IT ALMOST LOOKS QUIET. >> WHICH, OF COURSE, WOULD BE
UNUSUAL FOR THIS TIME IN THE AFTERNOON FOR NOTRE DAME.
BUT THEY DON'T LOOK PANICKED OR LOOK TO BE RUNNING AROUND AND
DOING A LOT OF THINGS. HOWEVER, ABIGAIL, IT IS NOT OPEN
TO PASSENGERS, NOT OPEN TO TOURISTS, NOT OPEN TO CARS.
WE SEE NO CARSARS AND NO PEOPLEO ARE NOT IN UNIFORM OR
JOURNALISTS IN THE PICTURES WE'VE BEEN LOOKING AT.
>> YEAH, THAT'S CORRECT. THAT'S WHAT I SEE, AS WELL.
THE POLICE ARE GIVING REALLY NICE DIRECTIONS TO PEOPLE,
TELLING THEM TO GO AROUND, YOU KNOW.
OFFERING ALTERNATIVE ROUTES FROM
WHAT I CAN TELL. IT'S BEEN RAINING, TOO.
I THINK IT HELPED. PEOPLE TOOK COVER AND THE
BUSINESSES IN THE AREA WERE KIND TO LET EVERYBODY IN AND TAKE
COVER FROM THE POURING RAIN WHILE THE POLICE STOOD OUT
THERE. >> IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU FEEL SAFE.
>> YES. YEAH, I DO.
>> SO LET'S -- >> I MEAN, IT'S TERRIFYING, BUT
THEY'VE HANDLED IT VERY WELL. >> FROM WHERE YOU WERE, I'M
ASSUMING THERE WERE AMBULANCES ON THE SCENE.
DID YOU SEE ANYONE BEING TAKEN OUT?
>> I SAW AN AMBULANCE, BUT I DID NOT SEE ANYONE TAKEN OUT.
>> WE'RE JUST GETTING CONFIRMATION, BY THE WAY, ABOUT
WHAT KELLY COBIELLA TOLD US MOMENTS AGO.

The Insane Plan to Tow an Iceberg to the Middle East - Duration: 4:23.
Iceberg ahead!
Shhh...don't scare it!
How else are we going to capture the berg and bring it back home?
There are some downright crazy schemes out there that defy common sense.
Ready for one?
A United Arab Emirates company wants to tow a 3.5 million-ton iceberg from Antarctica
and bring it back to their desert homeland.
They want to use the iceberg as a tourist attraction and as a source of fresh, drinkable
water for their citizens.
In the firm's splashy ad, animals in Antarctica come along for the ride too, including polar
bears! … which don't actually live in Antarctica.
Also, what happens when they get there?
They're not exactly, like, set up for desert life…
Humans suck.
Okay, we'll play ball for a second.
This is how iceberg towing could "work," based on the latest computer simulations.
An iceberg would be carefully selected for shape and size, and then it'd be fitted
with a giant insulated skirt at the waterline.
Then the berg would be pulled by a gigantic tugboat that would travel at a speed of roughly
one knot… which means it would take 283 days of nonstop, full bore tugging, 24/7 to
get there.
BTW in that time they estimate the iceberg would lose over 30% of its overall mass. This
all sounds totally doable in theory, and that's exactly where this zany idea has existed for
centuries: in theory.
See, iceberg towing isn't a new concept.
It's one of those technological wonders that's floated around media circles and
keeps popping up like a never-ending game of wac-a-mole.
The idea first appeared in the 1800s, initially proposed as a way to "equalize the temperature
of the earth."
They were worried about rising temperatures back then!
Neat huh.
Iceberg towing kept circling in dream space until it got some serious attention around
the 1970s.
NASA and various think tanks wrote technical reports on its feasibility (Spoiler: not
cost effective).
Then a French engineer and a Saudi prince proposed using icebergs to solve the world's
growing water crisis.
There was a conference in Iowa, a landlocked state of all places, devoted exclusively on
how to export icebergs.
To get delegates excited, the Prince actually shipped a "one-ton mini berg" from Alaska
to Iowa to be used for research and to keep cocktails chilled.
Suffice it to say, the plans were all at sea..
Beyond the technical challenges iceberg towing poses, there are other factors that make this
incredibly impractical.
First, the cost.
One iceberg-towing vessel can cost $75,000 a day, and to get a massive berg from Antarctica
to UAE -- for this journey that might be 21-and-a-quarter million dollars.
And they might need multiple towing ships for months.
It might be easier to just build a desalination plant.
Secondly, taking icebergs out of their native habitat could fly in the face of international
law and wouldn't be great for the environment.
The eco firm claims that the iceberg will transform UAE's desert landscape into a
lush paradise, creating a "microclimate" around the glacier.
While it's true that icebergs can create a mini climate within its proximity, it's
not going to turn the desert into a cloud forest.
While iceberg towing to quench the world's thirst is still a lot of hype, moving ice
around to suit our human needs does actually happen today.
And guess who's chiefly behind that?
Oil companies.
Sometimes megaton icebergs can change direction in a storm and when pushed by high wind speeds,
they'll be on a collision course with an oil rig … which can't exactly run away.
So, to make areas safer for oil and gas exploration, companies will lasso looming begs and use
tugboats to move them just a bit away from oil platforms.
I have to say, an iceberg posing a challenge to an oil rig is a feat of poetic mother earth
justice.

China alert India and other Asian countries against any informal Alliance - Duration: 2:05.
China today cautioned India and other Asian countries against forming informal alliances
to counter its increasing assertiveness as they cannot rely on the US in Trump era.
"I have seen the reports but I doubt the authenticity of these reports," Chinese Foreign Ministry
spokesperson Hua Chunying told media briefing here.
She was commenting on reports from Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore that India, Japan, Australia
and Vietnam were contemplating informal alliances in view of the uncertainties of US policies
under President Donald Trump.
If those reports are authentic, it demonstrate that Cold War mindset has not been eradicated
and "some people approach and handle the country to country relations with zero sum opinion,"
Hua said.
Speaking at the forum two days ago, Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said: "In
this brave new world we cannot rely on great powers to safeguard our interests."
"We have to take responsibility for our own security and prosperity, while recognising
we are stronger when sharing the burden of collective leadership with trusted partners
and friends," he said.
Hua said China stands for common comprehensive and sustainable security idea for the building
of cooperation of a new international relation with win cooperate at its core.
"Any confrontation and containment will have no way out.
Hope relevant people can put China's development in perspective," Hua said.

3D SOUND: you will be confused - Duration: 8:05.
Today, we're going to do an experiment together.
I'm super excited for it because I was really surprised by the results.
"You were completely wrong"
You're going to need one thing for the experiment but it's absolutely crucial you use it,
and that's headphones.
So pause the video and put them on.
If you've put them on the right way around, you should hear this in your right ear
and this in your left ear.
Ready? Let's do it!
To give you a taste of the experiment we're about to conduct, here is a snippet
that will immerse you in a fishing day.
Listen hard.
You must have heard sounds of the mill on the one side, and sounds of the cutting
of the fish on the other side; you could locate the area of origin of the sounds.
That's thanks to a so-called binaural recording that attempts to recreate the way that
we perceive sounds with our two ears, by using two regular microphones...
with a twist.
The microphones have fake ears stuck on them.
The point of this kind of recording is to immerse the public into a scene
to allow for them to experience, say, a day of fishing, as if they were really there.
You may already know this kind of recording, but what we're going to do today
is test its limits.
Franck and I met up with Régis, a postdoc researcher at Brams,
the international research lab on brains, music and sound.
He helped us use their binaural recording system that's strapped onto a mannequin.
Are you ready?
Yep
Now listen.
You could have kept your eyes closed and still known where the sound came from.
Let's put that to the test.
I'm going to need you to participate.
What if I play this sound for you?
Can you tell where it's coming from?
I'll play it again.
How about this one?
You should have heard the first sound in your left ear and the second
in your right ear.
Telling the difference between sounds coming from the right or left comes very easily to us.
Let's keep going.
This sound came from in front of you.
Front, middle.
Next try.
You must have noticed that this sound came from your right,
but from a lower point to your right.
Right, bottom.
Next test.
It came from somewhere high behind you.
Behind, top.
Next test.
This one came from the low left, or was it high left?
Or middle?
Personally, I can't tell the difference between different heights
or if the sound comes from in front or behind me.
This should be the case for you, too, at least I hope so, so let me know
in the comments.
This limitation is directly linked to the way that we locate sounds.
We use 3 localization mechanisms that complete one another:
The first is sound intensity.
Also known as the difference in intensity between the two ears; a sound coming from the left
is perceived louder by the left ear than it is by the right, since the head functions as a screen
that blocks sound waves.
The second is time difference.
When a sound is produced on one side of your head, it will take longer to reach
the other ear because it has a longer distance to travel.
This difference in time allows us to locate whether the sound is coming from our left or our right.
These two mechanisms are called binaural cues and the brain processes them
to interpret where sounds come from.
The brain is really doing all the work here.
In these cases, the binaural recording is highly efficient.
The last mechanism is one that gives us information about the vertical location
of sounds, differences between high and low as well as front or back.
In order to make such distinctions, the shape of our ears
and the presence of our head and torso are the main reasons we manage to locate sounds.
Those are called spectral cues.
Let me explain.
Sound waves, wherever they come from, will hit the shapes in our ears
in a different way if they come from above or below us.
The shape of our ears, our height etc. act like filters that physically modify the sound
(both its frequency and its spectrum).
Once such modifications have been made,
the sound enters the auditory tube and allows us to figure out
where it is coming from.
So how come our audio recordings, which we did using fake ears,
doesn't allow us to tell if a sound comes from above, below, behind or at the front?
That's the limit of binaural audio.
We all have different ears.
One person will have a completely different auricle
(that's what they're called)
from another.
While the overall shape is similar, if you look closely at the angles, the width
and so on, you'll spot differences.
That means that in order for you to know where the sounds really come from,
you'd need for the ear used during audio recordings
to be exactly the same as yours.
The one we have here is your 'average' ear, it doesn't model anybody's ear perfectly.
Let's do another experiment.
I'd really, really like you to try this one at home because it's really confusing
and all you need is some modeling clay.
This will help us demonstrate the importance of the ear's shape
in locating sounds.
Are you ready?
Yes
Franck, even blindfoled, manages to locate sounds perfectly.
Alright, I think we're good.
Did I get it right?
Yeah, completely right.
But after slightly altering the shape of his ear with modeling clay
(I really recommend you try it too), he wasn't as successful.
It's hard to tell because you've done both very well and very poorly.
I was back there and you pointed to up here.
Were you really there? I really thought you were over here.
That being said, one surprising thing that Régis told us
is that if we keep the modeling clay in for a few weeks we'll end up being able to
once again locate sounds around us because our brain
will have adapted to the change,
as long as it isn't too drastic.
Even though binaural recordings are limited, when you immerse yourself in a video,
it doesn't feel like you're missing a spatial dimension.
I think that that is thanks to our eyes that do a bit of extra work
to complete our hearing and recreate a sort of spatial map for sounds.
Binaraul recordings as we've experienced in this video
isn't so far off from regular stereo.
In order to fix its defects, the technology is evolving towards so-called
ambisonic reproduction systems that use even more microphones and in my opinion,
we're going to hear about those for a few more years.
So if you are to completely immerse yourself into an audio environment using only headphones,
you'll need for all the sounds to have been recorded through your ears,
or at least a copy of your ears,
to make it less inconvenient.
Or you could always trade your headphones for a bigger sound system
like the one in this lab which contains over 80 speakers.
I hope you liked this video and that you now want to try the experiment with the modeling clay
it's worth trying it with friends, family, kids...
at least I've had a lot of fun with it.
Don't forget to share this video if you liked it,

Studio G 6 5 2017 i call bull - Duration: 4:15.
HEY TRIPPSTERS inside studio G from June 5th 2017 you're probably seeing this
Tuesday so this was from last night the things that he covered wasn't that big
wasn't that important but he did say that when he goes to Lafayette he will
be bringing a surprise and that they need to bring their singing voices
because it's something that they will probably be hearing again and again and
again so when he goes to Lafayette he's going to be recording now that's how I
interpret it okay that's not what he said that's just how I interpret it he's
going to be recording I don't know if it's going to be four-dvd or four-cd but
it's something we're going to be here and again and again and again so they
are definitely going to be recording something somehow someway okay the
second thing I want to cover is he sang on the show last night okay and if you
missed inside studio G last night it is worth watching
just for this performance they didn't do the whole song but in relation to a
question he did a snippet of the change and he did it acapella just his voice no
guitar no anything because the change is actually on the piano but he did it with
just his voice and oh my god this man nailed it okay it is worth watching if
you only watch that part because he absolutely nailed it okay now some of
you might find what I'm about to say offensive new subject by the way but I'm
calling bullshit on Garth okay last night he said something in response to a
fan asking about videos and what he's still be doing videos would he do more
videos anyway ahead to doing videos and after it goes through the normal
drawn-out process of well we like to I like to add a third to reach and I want
to just do it just to be doing it that kind of thing yeah we get that okay but
here if the part I'm calling bullshit on and I wrote it down so
I could quote him for you he said and I quote but what I love to man is people
make unbelievable videos for your stuff from stuff that they have and the way
that they hear it and what it means to them I like that as well
bullshit okay I call bullshit on Garth Brooks because if he truly felt that way
then he would not have a problem with us fans using one of his songs to make a
video and put it on YouTube because honestly think about it how many times
have fans with anybody's music took a song and put video footage to it of
their own put pictures to it just any kind of thing and make their own video
showing you what they think that song means or exactly what that song means to
them okay and what do they do with it they make the video and they put it on
YouTube so bullshit on Garth okay because if he
truly felt that way he would not have a problem with us fans making videos using
his music and putting them on YouTube so when he said what he said last night
he's full of shit okay because if he really truly minute he
wouldn't have a problem with his music being on YouTube when fans make videos
like that but that's just my opinion and I know I'll probably just pissed off a
bunch of Garth fans but I'm just being brutally honest but that was everything
of any real importance to me and what I thought would be important to you from
inside Studio G last night that is going to do it for now
this is ICEPETS Queen and I am tripping out
