geocacher who's been geocaching for 10 years and documenting it here with

hundreds of geocaching adventures here on this YouTube channel so if you're new

subscribe today I'm in an urban environment there are cars surrounding

me there are buildings surrounding me they are muggles everywhere going into

coffee shops so it's always a little bit of a challenge to try to get a tricky

geocache without looking suspicious and frankly when I'm filming my geocaching

adventures it's a little bit of a challenge because a I'm loud and I do

kind of weird and crazy things while I'm geocaching so I was reading the cache

page of this geocache and it has several favorite points and it has a lot of

people going that was hilarious mo is up for a geocaching laughs aren't

you let's go

all right I already located something a little suspicious we have a light pole

an LPC that's what they call it in the

geocaching biz and found something an outlet you don't see outlets very often

on light poles like this and it's plugged into something so this is

plugged up I took it off that the cache does this open up that would be clever

never seen anything like this is this button do anything so guys there's a

long extension cord plugged into the lamppost that's interesting

I'm wondering if I need to plug this into another area or something so let's

see there's somewhere I can plug this in take it over here this light pole is

close to Ground Zero and maybe if I plug this in sub oh so here we got a lot of

lectric all nothing to plug in this bad boy fake it's a fake that is that is

real don't touch it I'm a little stumped oh look up there fire hydrant I have

found geocache is on fire hydrants before but everything seems to be real

don't touch that there's so many beacons guys there's a sewer drain maybe all

right so I searched for a good while and sometimes when you're searching and

searching you gotta start thinking outside of the box so you guys I stepped

away from it and I regathered my thoughts and I look back and sometimes

you just need to have a little bit different perspective and when I did

when I step back when I stepped back and took a look at the cache

I saw something sticking out like a sore thumb oh my gosh guys I think I spotted

something that could be it and I'm gonna be a little bit stealthy but check this

out you guys what in the world why is there a camera I'm its light pole cuz

it's the camera it's time to use my super stealth moves and see if I can

retrieve that camera

look at this I think I found it it's a camera but it's not a real camera oh my

gosh guys look just like it sticks to my car really nicely hmm I'm watching you

so there we have it a camera open it there it is right in the top and this

thing is apparently could put batteries in this thing this is fake fake camera

sticks to my car so awesome all right guys I found it man that was a good one

do I have a pen do I have a pen now I have to be super stealthy to put the

thing back up there I've just to think

Pride Parade Bans Drag Queens Over Fears They'll Offend Trans People.

And don't you just love it when the left starts banning themselves because of political

correctness?

The Free Pride Glasgow that is supposed be the "non-commercial" and more open-minded

alternative to the traditional Glasgow LGBTIQ pride event is now taking measures to prevent

"Drag Queens" from performing in its annual parade.

And you will never guess why.

It's been confirmed that after much consideration the "Free Pride Glasgow" parade committee

members decided that having men dress as women and giving performances during their inclusive

event would actually be offensive to the transgendered community and those non-binary people within

their ranks would feel uncomfortable being exposed to "Drag Performances."

Obviously, the "Drag Queen" community is up in arms:Since the ban, several organizers

of this event have chimed in to say they also had considered banning "Drag Queens" for

a while now because they make a mockery of the notion of gender fluidity.

But had decided to keep the "offensive" and "marginalizing" performers out of

a sense of inclusion.

Well folks, don't you just love it when the left falls prey to its own guidelines?

They have constantly been pushing their agenda down our collective throats and telling us

that if we as much as say we don't agree with something they brand us bigots or racists,

or both.

But what are they now that they banned one of their own protected groups because they

might offend another one of their protected groups?

Why aren't these people tolerant of each other as they claim they want us on the right

to be tolerant of them?

Do they have a different sort of rule for themselves or is it just hypocrisy?

Not really sure, but whatever it is it will be great to see how this plays out.

Just sit back and relax folks, this will be fun to watch!

Last week, organizers of Glasgow's "Free Pride," a more radical alternative to the

city's main Pride festival, sparked controversy when they announced that drag acts would be

barred from performing at their annual August shindig.

A post on Free Pride's blog explained the decision:

It was felt that [drag performances] would make some of those who were transgender or

questioning their gender uncomfortable.

It was felt by the group within the Trans/Non Binary Caucus that some drag performance,

particularly cis drag, hinges on the social view of gender and making it into a joke,

however transgender individuals do not feel as though their gender identity is a joke.

Critics upbraided Free Pride's decree as a some-queers-are-more-equal-than-others policy.

The Stranger's Dan Savage wrote that their criteria for excluding drag acts "could

be used to exclude a lot of individuals and groups from performing at—or even attending—queer

pride events … until there's no one left at pride."

And when Free Pride hastily adjusted their ban to allow trans-drag acts (i.e. trans individuals

who sometimes perform in drag for work or fun), the Daily Beast published a critique

including angry remarks from Facebook: "How are you going to moderate who is a trans and

who is a cis drag act?

Maybe they should wear identification.

Such as a pink triangle … oh wait, that's been done before."

Across the rainbow spectrum, queers decried the decision's divisive implications for

an already divided community—until Free Pride caved and lifted the ban.

Looking at this fracas from my position as a working queen, it wasn't the banning itself

that bothered me most.

The most troubling thing from my point of view was the suggestion that "good" drag

shouldn't be making a joke of (or cause discomfort around) gender and identity—that

"good" drag shouldn't offend.

This logic is a big problem, because drag's central purpose is to do just that.

At its best, drag uses irreverent, shocking humor to parody ideas of male and female,

sexuality, race, and society.

Drag is not just a game of dress up enjoyed by privileged, cis-gendered queers.

It's also a weapon for self-expression, dissent, and critique wielded by diverse performers

including cis-queens, drag kings, female queens, trans people, and people of all ethnicities,

backgrounds, and body types.

When drag performers make jokes about or cause discomfort around social norms, they do so

with purpose, and they are doing their art proud.And yet Free Pride is not alone in its

doubts about drag.

As the genre continues to gain mainstream attention, it has become the object of more

frequent attacks, particularly in the past year.

Last January, former Vice President Dick Cheney's daughter Mary Cheney compared male drag performance

to blackface.

And when Facebook locked the accounts of queens who refused to publicly reveal their birth

names last year, a question hung in the air: Are drag performers just clowns, to be easily

deleted and delegitimized?

Meanwhile, on a personal level, my Outward articles on drag have been met with a fair

amount of harsh criticism.

Straight female friends have written to suggest that drag makes a mockery of women.

And, discouragingly, LGBTQ readers have voiced concern that drag creates harmful confusion.

Recently a transgender female reader sent in the following, heartbreaking question:

I've always found drag to be super offensive, but was never able to verbalize it until I

saw your video on drag.

Your drag queen claimed that the primary reason for drag is "to make straight men uncomfortable."

This is precisely what I don't want to do, and the discomfort that drag queens cause

often leads to discrimination against the transgender community, particularly those

who aren't so privileged in terms of passing.

Given that drag queens substantially outnumber transgendered individuals, do drag queens

consider this potential harm in sending the wrong message about gender to the population

at large?

Like Free Pride's decision, this question centers on the idea that causing discomfort

is damaging or undesirable.

I'm mortified to think that my art could degrade a fellow LGBTQ person, so part of

me wants to dissemble and explain that my comment was just a joke aimed at homophobes

who take drag as a personal attack.

But that would be dishonest.

Instead, I'll admit it: Spooking straight people—making them uncomfortable—is one

of my favorite activities.

Not because I've overlooked my potential to cause harm.

But because I am focused on my potential to cause change.

The discomfort I cause as a drag queen is not intended to shore up the wall between

LGBTQ people and the rest of the world, but to erode it.

When I ride the subway in full makeup, I give a few dozen tourists their first genderfuck

experience.

When I buy groceries in a lace-front wig, my cashiers must relinquish their certainty

that that kind of person doesn't live in their neighborhood.

When I startle a grade-schooler into asking his mother, "That's not a real lady, right,

Mom?"

I'm starting a conversation that may not otherwise have happened.

Drag has a unique capacity to make gender issues blatantly visible to those who might

try to ignore them.

And when I perform for LGBTQ people, I have the same goal—to cause discomfort that blurs,

rather than sharpens, the lines between the groups within our community.

By sending the "wrong message about gender" or "making it into a joke" within queer

spaces, I question the perceived divisions between my audience members, which include

trans people, gay men, lesbians, cis-female bachelorettes, and nervous hetero boyfriends.

I don't ignore the diversity within an LGBTQ crowd; I embody it.

There are so many false assumptions between the lines of Free Pride's now-rescinded

decree.

That drag is un-serious.

That it's possible to draw a clear line between cis- and trans-drag performers.

That systematic exclusion can be used to create a more inclusive environment.

But the most harmful idea is that drag—or any queer art form, for that matter—should

be muzzled.

If there are performers who use drag as a platform for creating enmity and hate, they

should be condemned for doing violence to the art form.

But condemning all drag performers for the sins of their peers is a ham-fisted mistake.

And in the wake of this fiasco, drag performers should learn how to advocate for themselves

when accused of mocking others.

Too often, I've heard defensive drag performers argue that drag is just harmless comedy, suggesting

that women and trans people who don't like it should just grow a thicker skin.

This is the oft-condemned "you gotta take that up with your therapist, kiddo" defense

adopted by RuPaul in 2012.

But that defense misses the mark.

Instead of downplaying drag's power to stir outrage—insisting that drag is not that

bad and that its detractors are overly sensitive—drag performers should acknowledge and embrace

their art form's gritty nature.

Yes, drag hits viewers where they are most vulnerable and confused.

Yes, it makes people uncomfortable.

And that's good."

How to Crochet knit HINDI MARY JANE Beanie Hat with Brim Tutorial Subtitles Translations - Duration: 13:06.

this will be a half double crochet hat made with a brim this is the yarn I'm

using there are a lot of other yarns that will work with this pattern and I'm

using a size I crochet hook you will need a yarn marker which is just a scrap

piece of yarn the Hat will be worked in the continual round chain three join

chain one this will not count as a stitch I'm going to be working ten full

half double crochet there's one two

three four five

six seven eight nine

ten instead of joining I'm going to crochet right into the next stitch and

I'm going to work two half double crochet just like this there's two

sometimes with the half double crochet there's confusion with crocheting

through the top of the stitch and between the stitch for this hat I'm

going to go between the stitch which is below this loop right here so I don't

know if you'll be able to see this or not if you were crocheting through the

stitch you would go up here and these two loops would be on top of your hook

and then this bit loop back here would be below it between the stitches there

will be three loops on top of your hook like this it will turn out looking the

same way whether you go through the top of the stitch or between the stitches

there's not much of a difference I just like to go between the stitches and I

know the hook is a little bit squeaky it's kind of a humid day today I have

ten half double crochet I have ten more to go

there's 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20

now we want to get the yarn marker and we're going to mark this stitch

this is so we know when our rounds end and begin and we know when to do the

next increases there will be ten increases on each round until we get

sixty round three there will be thirty half double crochet I've powdered up my

crochet hook so hopefully it won't be as squeaky

I'll work one half double crochet then two half double crochet in the next

stitch one half double crochet

then to half double crochet continue around to your yarn marker until you

have a total of 30 half double crochet on round 3 I've completed round 3 for 30

half double crochet and this is where my yarn marker is right now sometimes it

shifts this is one of those projects that as long as you're pretty close you

don't have to be real real exact as long as the hat is fit in your head and

everything's turning out alright a pattern is just a guide so it can easily

be modified at any time to make a larger or a smaller cap round four will be an

individual stitch in each of the next two stitches and then two stitches in

the same so you can see right here I did an individual half double crochet there

another individual half double crochet two half double crochet in the same

stitch we will have 40 half double crochet on round four and it's always a

good idea to try to stagger the increases so you don't have them all

lined up on top of each other or you may start to form points work to individual

stitches

two in the same space continue around for a total of 40 I've completed around

four for forty stitches round five will be 50 stitches one individual stitch in

increase and continue around for a total of fifty half double crochet i have

completed the fifty half double crochet on round five now round six will be the

last round of increases there will be four individual half double crochet one

two three four and then an increase so each one of these rounds has ten

increases work four individual stitches one two three four and then an increase

work four individual stitches one two

three four and then an increase continue around for a total of sixty on round six

I've completed around six with sixty half double crochet now you will work

one half double crochet in each stitch or between each stitch however you chose

to do it for the remainder of the length of your hat or approximately twenty

rounds I have completed my last round now what I want to do is even off the

round so I'll skip one half double crochet and do a slip stitch in the next

and that evens it off now we want to do the brim I'll chain one and I'm going to

skip this half double crochet and I will be working two half double crochet

across nineteen stitches for a total of thirty eight there's three four five six

7:8 you can see right here I'm working two stitches between each stitch and

that's going to make the brim flare out like this you can easily adjust the size

of your broom

now I want to skip one stitch and in the next I'm going to do a slip stitch then

slip stitch again over into the next space which is right here turn and work

one half double crochet between each half double crochet for a total of 38

this is how the second row on the brim is looking I continue across until you

have 38 I have completed 38 half double crochet for Row two on the brim now what

I'm going to do is slip stitch in the next stitch on the hat like this this is

what we have with two rows I'm going to work one more row so I'll turn and work

one half double crochet between each half double crochet across you may wind

up with a few extra that's alright

I've completed all my stitches on Row three what I want to do a slip stitch

into the next stitch on the Hat and secure my yarn and then cut it I have

tried going out further with the brim but it starts to get floppy and it won't

hold its shape anymore this completes the Hat
