I hope you enjoy this preview of Puerto Rico Forward. You can listen to the

full episode on Patreon where you can also help support this project. You can

also find us on iTunes and Google Play. As always, thank you for your time, thank

you for listening, y que viva Puerto Rico. The archipelago's economic

transformation - some would even say modernization - can be said to have begun

on September of 1941 with President Franklin D. Roosevelt's appointment of

Rexford Guy Tugwell as governor of Puerto Rico. At the time

Tugwell was considered a radical due to his belief that the right to own

property should not allow to be a right to be socially irresponsible.

As expected, such an outrageous idea was constantly met with criticism and opposition from

the most fanatical proponents of private industry. As we can observe, Tugwell's

appointment coincided with the US' direct involvement in the second World War.

Because Puerto Rico was, at the time, still considered to be an important

strategic location for the US' military operations, civil unrest was seen as a threat

to the colony stability and therefore a threat to US interests.

As a result, it was believed that achieving economic progress in the

territory would be the path of least resistance to secure the US' dominance

over Puerto Rico. With this idea firmly accepted in Washington, Congress'

historically tight grip over Puerto Rico was loosened, and Tugwell - along with a

political party in power at the time, the Partido Popular Democrático (or PPD) and

its leader Luis Muñoz Marín - found themselves with the leeway required to

implement a series of reforms that would forever change Puerto Rico's economic landscape.

Delish Does Sunday In Brooklyn's FAMOUS Malted Pancakes - Duration: 7:04.

(jazz band)

- You guys, I am at Sunday in Brooklyn in Williamsburg,

and we are here to try their infamous pancakes.

Seriously, if you go to their Instagram,

and you scroll, it's like, pancake, pancake, pancake.

How you doing? You ready for pancakes?

I think I just spit all over! (giggles)

Pancakes!

What is in here? - We have all-purpose flour,

sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt.

The thing that makes ours a little bit different

is a little toasted malt powder.

Now we're gonna add the eggs. - I'm the muscles

of the operation. - Yup, so she's gonna

start mixing with the whisk; now I'm

going to start adding the buttermilk.

- Please, it's getting hard.

This is definitely arm day for me.

Do you see people just like, take them down

or are there leftovers ever? - Oh no,

people usually cannot finish them.

- Really? - They take their Instagram

picture and then maybe take a couple of bites.

- Okay, this is a moment where like,

you're making something with your mom

and then it gets hard, so you pass the baton.

So I'm gonna push it up. - It's actually almost there.

- It's almost flip time? - Mm hmm.

- Okay, honestly I feel it in my arm

and I barely did anything; does it look different?

(elevator music)

- Oh yeah, pancakes, pancakes. - We're gonna walk over

to the stove top, and we will cook the pancakes

in the cutest little pans you've ever seen.

- Let me help you with that, hello, hi!

Alright, where am I going?

(sizzling)

- Okay, I going to throw these in here.

They're so tiny because the pancakes,

we want them up, not out?

The pancakes here aren't your normal pancakes.

Chefs pour a ton of batter into one tiny pan, so the

pancakes don't spread: they become thicker and taller.

They also take forever to cook this way,

almost 20 torturous minutes.

So I just put this whole thing, oh yeah!

Did I just pass culinary school?

- Uh, yeah, don't touch that. - You're messing me up!

Go watch pancake never, pancakes?

- Would you like to make the syrup

that goes on top? - Yeah!

Hazelnuts, they smell insane; I'm nervous that they'll...

- Perfect! - That was very satisfying.

(blending)

- I wish you could smell this right now, it's insane.

She tells me they're not ready, but like, baby!

No bubbles.

It's getting buttery. - Now, for the squares

that go right on top of the pancakes.

- You had such a cooking show voice there for a second.

Hello, now let's get to the squares.

- I've actually pre-browned butter.

- I'm too lazy to do that; whenever a

recipe calls for it I'm like, "Ugh!"

- And now we just put this in the fridge, and then it would

set, and then we would cut it into little squares.

You see these bubbles here; it means we're ready to go.

First, you're going to make sure it's not sticking to the

pan, so you're gonna kinda go all the way underneath it.

Your right hand is going to flip while this hand

is gonna kinda like, catch it basically.

It's not hard. - Whoa!

What happens if mine doesn't land in the pan?

- Um, then we would... - Should I run?

(elevator music)

I'm legitimately nervous right now.

Twirly, oh yeah, oh yeah, so I go?

- There you go! - I did it!

I would argue that's a perfect pancake.

This isn't looking good, okay.

- I can't do it, it's horrible!

- Um, let's go back and check on the sauce.

- Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. - It's okay.

- Look at that!

What a transformation story.

It's the syrup that makes these pancakes so expensive.

A short stack costs 18 bucks. (cashier ching)

All those hazelnuts are not cheap.

Is that all that goes into this?

- That's it. - It's magic sauce.

- And then we just throw in a little salt, but that's all.

- Let's do it, let's add that salt.

I'm the Saltess, the Queen of Salt.

Salt...salterator, uh, salt is here!

Salt's here, okay. - Now I'm just

going to throw in a little salt.

- Okay. - And it's finished!

- It's finished.

(chill house music)

The design in here is just as pretty as the food,

which is what a really stuffy review would say of the place,

but I'm going to say it's a gorgeous plate, look at it!

Are you ready, are you ready? You ready?

- I have stacked your pancakes.

- I just got distracted by a burger that walked by.

It's insane, but back to pancakes.

- Pancakes. - Can I be anal

and just like. - Please.

- Pop those off, can I eat them, can I?

Oh my God, I just had the crispy burnt bits

of the pancake and I'm already freaking out.

- Now we pour the syrup on top.

- All of it? - Uh, I wouldn't go all of it.

(chill house music)

- [Camera Woman] Okay, so thoughts.

- I just blacked out a little bit.

It's like, thicker than regular maple syrup.

So I feel like it's just gonna stick to my bones,

which I really need in this cold winter weather.

Oh, uh-oh, and now this is the magic part

that people don't always get to see.

- We're gonna torch it. (Hallelujah Chorus)

- I'm gonna take them. - Okay.

- I'm leaving you now. (Hallelujah Chorus)

I'm really hungry, so let's go for it.

I'm gonna cut it like cake, 'cause it basically

has enough sugar to be considered that.

Mmm, oh my God. (jazz band)

This syrup, the hazelnuts in them stay a little bit crunchy.

I want like, all of it, like every.

Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh; this is on another level.

The pancakes are insanely soft and fluffy.

I have no complaints, this 100% lives up to the expectations

Instagram, you got it right, God!

Did it again, dead, dead, back to life, four more.

You wouldn't mind leaving me to be with

my pancakes, I'd appreciate that now.

Remember to subscribe to Delish on YouTube,

and I'll see ya next time! Bye!

Retail & Insurance Corporations Merge For Healthcare Takeover - Duration: 7:59.

CVS and Walmart are teaming up with insurance corporations Etna and Humana to form what

could become the largest chain of retail clinics in the country.

The proposed mergers come as visits to urgent care clinics have become more popular than

seeing a primary doctor.

While these new retail clinics are convenient to access, practitioners are questioning whether

the corporate influence in medical care is really in the best interest of the public.

Joining me to talk about this topic is Farron Cousins, he's the editor of the Trial Lawyer

Magazine, one of the biggest trial lawyer magazines in the country.

Farron, why is this new wave of urgent care clinics promoting retail corporations to merge

with insurance companies?

Why is all that happening?

We have CVS right now that's trying to buy out insurance giant, Etna.

You've got Walmart that's trying to buy out Humana and the reason they're doing this is

because they want to become these one stop shops where you go, you get your insurance

there, you meet with a nurse practitioner and then you take the prescription that that

person gives you back to the counter.

The insurance that you just bought is going to cover that and so that's what this all

is.

This is about a corporate takeover of the US healthcare system which was almost pretty

much already taken over by corporations, and now they're just trying to consolidate it.

You can go to Walmart, you can get your oil changed, you can buy your health insurance,

go to the eye doctor, go to a nurse practitioner, get your prescriptions filled.

This is not the kind of efficiency that we need in this country.

We do not need corporations like CVS and Walmart merging with health insurance giants, telling

us which prescriptions we need and which ones they want to pay for and which ones they want

to cover.

There's no good ending to this story here.

Farron, why are people not turning to primary care doctors?

In other words, this is a replacement.

In other words, you have some people who can't get to a primary care doctor, they can't afford

a primary care doctor, so they use emergency rooms all over the country.

That is the America's insurance policy for the poor because they can't afford regular

care, and so ends up they go to emergency rooms.

Is this kind of an iteration of that one reason that maybe they're not going to primary care

doctors, we see it happen all over the country?

Well, there's a lot of reasons that play into that.

First and foremost, we're impatient as a society.

When we get a cold, when we have something wrong, we want it fixed that very minute and

these little minute clinics that you see popping up in about 1100 CVS stores across the country,

that's what they offer.

You can walk in there say, "Hey I've got a cold."

They give the prescription for antibiotics, you're in and out in about 10 minutes.

Whereas you call your doctor, you set up an appointment for later in the week, you may

end up missing more days of work because of that, something that very few people in this

country can do.

So it's built into the system of capitalism to want to get better, get over an illness

faster, but also just general impatience makes people want to go in, meet with somebody who

maybe didn't go through medical school, a nurse practitioner, and I mean no offense

at all to those folks, but you're not getting the same level of care, you're not getting

the same comprehensive check up that a family practitioner would give you.

You're going in basically saying, "I have a cold, I want antibiotics and I want to get

back to work in the next five minutes."

And they cater to that.

One thing for certain, corporations own medical care.

It used to be doctors owned hospitals, that was before you were born, when I was a younger

person.

Doctors owned hospitals, it wasn't a corporation that came in and bought every hospital round

and then tried to say that, "Gee whiz, doctors still run what we do."

No, they don't.

You have for profit hospitals that are trying to call themselves non-profit hospitals.

There's this new gig where a hospital can call itself a non-profit hospital and in the

end, they're paying exactly the salaries they want, the bonuses they want.

At the end of the year if they have a big bunch of money left, all they do is they go

buy another hospital, they buy more property.

So it is another corporate scam.

So doctors aren't involved in the process anyway in hospitals anymore.

They have very little influence.

As I look at this, you've got Apple, Amazon, I think JP Morgan, Berkshire Hathaway, they

have plans to provide their own private healthcare for their employees.

What's this saying about the state of healthcare in America where you've got corporations saying,

"Why do I want to send our employees to a corporate hospital, we'll build our own entity

right here?"

What's your take?

Right, and that just furthers the corporate takeover of the healthcare system in the United

States.

You take a group like Apple, that's already trying to create their own little healthcare

system, their own version of health insurance that I guess is going to work inside the Apple

Hospital, the iHospital, whatever they're going to call it, I don't know.

But this is just so that they can control.

That's what all of this is about, control.

How much control can one corporation have over both your healthcare, your doctor and

the prescriptions that they write to you?

Take a company, use Apple again, suppose they do create their own healthcare system with

their own version of health insurance.

That health insurance is going to tell their employees what prescriptions they can or cannot

have access to.

The doctors that are owned by whatever corporation are going to adhere to that, they're going

to go with what the insurance company does or does not want to cover at the pharmacy

that they also own.

People are not going to get adequate care-

You know, Farron-

... they're not going to get the comprehensive check ups that they need.

Yeah, you know Farron, if you talk to doctors who've been in this business a long time,

they'll tell you the younger doctors who are graduating from medical school, they expect

to go from medical school to work for a corporation.

It used to be the doctor would come out and they'd say, "Well I want to team up with three

or four other doctors in my specialty, we're going to start a specialty group."

But what's happening now is you have young doctors, they just think it's just part of

the system.

"I'm going to graduate, I'm going to work for a corporation, I'm going to work for a

corporate hospital, that's how things are."

It's really a difference in how doctors are thinking about this.

As far as you can tell, quickly, how accurately have retail clinics, or urgent care clinics,

been with diagnosing patients and providing the right treatment?

What's your quick take on that?

We've seen a lot of instances where, specifically children, are being prescribed medications

that are either way too strong for them, medications that should not be used on children, so we

are starting to see a lot more instances of this over-prescribing, or wrong prescriptions

going out, and again, it's because they're not going to the pediatricians, they're going

to this nurse practitioner so we can get in and out and try to get on with our lives,

which doesn't work when you're talking about human health.

Sometimes you've got to take a little bit more time so that the doctor can get it right.

My prediction is you're going to start seeing an awful lot of lawsuits that come out of

this for substandard care.

That would be my take, just looking ahead.

Thank you for joining me, Farron.

Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC & BEYOND - Taking Nintendo Switch's BEST Shooter to New Depths - Duration: 11:19.

Splatoon is about to get even more awesome, I wanna talk about that and everything but…

you know how we do things here, let's go even deeper than that.

Get it…

Deep…

Octolings live underground---ah forget it!

You guys don't appreciate my comedic genius...

I don't talk about Splatoon that often on this channel.

In fact, I don't think I've talked about Splatoon for nearly A YEAR that's a borderline

CRIME because I LOVE that game.

It's proof that despite what a lot of detractors say, Nintendo can have a few developers lock

themselves in a room for 11 months and come out with something entirely new and entirely

charming.

They get a lot of flak for being same-y (from us included) & for me, Splatoon is the reason

why.

My most hyped announcement to come out of E3 the year the original Splatoon came out

was that Nintendo planned to maintain the program that spawned the original game.

Fast forward to now, we haven't really seen anything that has come out of that initiative.

That's kind of a bummer, BUT, not all is lost because we're still getting plenty

of exciting content from that team by way of Splatoon 2's upcoming Octo Expansion.

Now, none of this is to say I've grown bored in any way of the content available in Splatoon

2, in fact, they've been pretty consistently adding new things to the game before I'm

really given the chance to fully consume the things they added leading up to the next thing.

I

Since the days of the original game, I've been a huge advocate in favor of people experiencing

the single player campaigns of the Splatoon games before really diving into the multiplayer.

It really puts the mechanics into perspective and helps you understand the maneuverability

the Inklings have, get a basic understanding of how the different weapons work, some of

the stage mechanics that you may see in online matches.

Beyond that, it further fleshes out the world and establishes themes like the Inklings love

of trends, fashion, music, all of that good stuff.

& it's a conduit for the lore.

My only gripe being that we're never given enough to really push the potential of these

mechanics or the world building.

I've always lamented the limited approach to single player.

So, OF COURSE, as you could imagine, I was excited to see the announcement for Octo Expansion,

mostly because I really want to experience the mini challenge approach to the levels.

I think it has the potential to make me an even better player than the main single player

content because it's less worried about a player becoming frustrated, something I

think is backed up by the inclusion of Pearl and Marina who will give the ability to skip

levels that are giving you a hard time.

In an interview with IGN, Splatoon 2's producer Hisashi Nogami talked a lot about how: rather

than being an A to B affair, the new campaign will task us with new kinds of challenges

that encourage different kinds of play as well as giving us more opportunities to put

different kinds of weapons that you may not typically take advantage of to the test.

& that's not exclusive to players either.

Enemies also have access to more weapons and specials than they do in the main story content.

The overall vibe I'm getting from the levels so far is that they are meant for intermediate

player that want to further hone their skills further after playing through the campaign.

It's a lot more brutal than the campaign it seems though.

Each mission costs a set amount of points, points that will afford you 3 lives.

If you lose all three lives, you'll be able to continue from the last checkpoint by paying

more points, restart the level, which is fortunately free, skip the level like I mentioned before,

or abandon the level and return to the subway.

Beyond all of that gameplay stuff we're given a small amount of details for the story

in the expansion being that you play as a Octoling girl (or boy) who wakes up in this

underground subway system and apparently has amnesia?

Tupac Marina is there, Biggie Pearl is there.

It's a great time.

That's about all we know outside of a few other new characters that presumably help

you in one way or another, but, until we know more for sure, they're not really worth

talking about right now.

What IS worth talking about is what I think this SHOULD mean for the series moving forward,

and where I think they should take it AFTER this.

I think the Octo expansion is a great start for every reason I mentioned, but it really

doesn't do much to TRULY fix any of the major problems that I, and many other people

have with Splatoon in its current state.

Problems I'm not sure we could reasonably expect to be solved in this expansion or any

potential future expansion of Splatoon 2.

For many of these changes, we'll likely need a Splatoon 3, which, I know is a ways

off, but, speculation is fun so don't bother leaving any of those party pooper comments.

But, first, before I get into the negative stuff, let's just talk about some cool changes

that would be fun to see.

Not necessarily anything we NEED Splatoon's world should be explored further in more ways

than just these piece meal smaller scaled stories.

I think the world of Splatoon could stand to be more reminiscent of a traditional Nintendo

single player experience.

The story doesn't need to be super complex, in fact, in a way I think they should simplify

what's already there.

Currently, there's a bit of an Overwatch vibe to how the Splatoon lore is explored.

Only the people that really look are aware of a lot of the storytelling in Splatoon,

which, to a point can be cool, but I also think it wastes the potential of these characters

and this world.

We should have a plot that dives deeper into the day to day of Inklings as a whole.

Give us backstory on where a lot of the trends in the world come from.

Why do Inklings and Octolings get stuck in these distinct 90s trends?

Could we potentially see them explore different eras?

Or other facets of the 90s?

Like I mentioned a bit earlier, we're seeing a heavy hip hop influence Show us why Turf

Wars are important?

How do the other game types factor into this world?

What other obstacles aside from a kidnapped ally can we be presented with that would be

the catalyst to a new adventure?

In other words, I don't think we ALWAYS need to be agents.

Maybe we can explore the idea of the research lab being a thing in the Splatoon world?

Maybe Inklings and Octarians alike revolt against us for medaling.

Or maybe there's some bigger threat that brings Inklings & Octarians like another animal

family.

A family that could potentially bring with them interesting game mechanics to challenge

us as players.

& that's another thing, we should REALLY be doubling down on really exploring the abilities

Inklings have at there disposal.

Splatoon 2 definitely takes it to the next level in the final sector of the campaign,

but, I think there's a lot more potential in the mechanics we have.

Enough to even justify a 10 to 15 hour long campaign.

What if that campaign is also playable with a friend through online play or local wireless?

What kind of levels could we get if we have another Inkling or Octoling by our side?

Salmon Run is flirting with the idea of co-op, let's go all in and make it a key mechanic

in the future.

I'd even sacrifice one full fledged Nintendo styled single player in favor of 2 campaigns

in the vein of Splatoon 1 & 2 but with one of them being specifically designed to be

played with another player playing alongside you.

ALSO, why not make Octolings play slightly differently from Inklings in some way?

It can be like, A Way Out, but, with better gameplay, and a less serious story….

Really the only way it'd be like A Way Out is in the sense that it's heavily dependent

on cooperative gameplay… which isn't even unique to A Way Out…

So…

Disregard that, I guess?

Give them different advantages and disadvantage to make them more than cosmetically separate.

Of course, they shouldn't, I'd even go as far as to say they CAN'T do that with

the Octo Expansion, because they'd be putting characters with a different play style behind

a paywall, but, new ways to play are fair game in a sequel.

Beyond that, let's see more game types in the vein of Salmon Run.

The inclusion of that mode is easily my favorite new addition as I've always been really

into cooperative gameplay.

Creating a cooperative Boss Rush game, or a cooperative puzzle solving game type, or

something along those lines I think could talk Salmon Run to the next level.

While they're implementing game types, what would free for all, or different sized team

comps be like?

Or an elimination mode of some kind?

I know as well as anybody else that loves Splatoon that the game isn't about kill

or be killed 9 times out of 10 like most other shooters, but, at the end of the day, it's

still a shooter, it wouldn't hurt to include some traditional shooter staples.

That way they may attract an even bigger player base as well as having even more things to

play off of to make those modes unique to Splatoon in one way or another.

& unfortunately, this is where we transition into the bad.

Nintendo needs to let go of the reigns a bit on their whole curated experience schtick

when it comes to Splatoon.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that approach is ALL bad like a lot of people do.

I'm all for the weapon and stage drip feed.

I think eventizing things like that adds a lot to the experience, but I can see people's

frustration with the headache that is customizing how you play beyond that.

People want to be able to play Turf War with their friends on the same time against random

players, it's currently a dice roll, you can't even join ranked games at all in ranked

modes.

Which, plays into another popular gripe.

Playing ranked with friends is a MAJOR pain.

There are a few hurdles that you need to clear to make playing with friends a possibility.

First, you need to get to level 10.

This, I partially understand, you should be at a certain skill level before jumping into

Ranked battles,

BUT, I think you should be able to gain experience in modes outside of turf war.

This way you can be working toward that while naturally experiencing the game in the way

you want without it being a grind…

Unless you're already experienced of course, but, that's a whole other can of worms that

would ultimately require Turf Wars to be skill based to a degree to fully address.

Which, I don't think they should do.

ANYWAY, after getting to level 10 you're required to get to a B- in a game type THEN

you unlock league battle.

All of your friends need to go through this process.

I don't think they should be this strict.

Many people wouldn't even touch Splatoon if it weren't for their friends, limiting

what multiplayer modes they can play together is a mistake I think they should fix.

Alongside the fact that you can't spectate when waiting to join a lobby, the fact that

you need a full group of friends on the same splat fest team to play together there, or

any of the problems that people have with Nintendo's current online infrastructure

and voice chat and what not.

A fair amount of that could be fixed in Splatoon 2.

ALL of that stuff should be a fixed in Splatoon 3.

BUT, those are MY thoughts what do YOU think?

Are you excited for the Octo Expansion?

Are there any changes you hope to see made to Splatoon in the furture?

After Barbara Bush Dies, Laura Has Just One Thing To Say About Melania Trump - Duration: 3:55.

After Barbara Bush Dies, Laura Has Just One Thing To Say About Melania Trump.

Former first lady and presidential mother Barbara Bush left this world in style on Tuesday,

"sipping bourbon" and sharing one last heartfelt conversation with her closest family

members.

With the nation still in mourning over this tremendous loss, George W. Bush and his wife

Laura sat down for an interview with Fox News on Wednesday.

It was then that Laura Bush was asked if she had any "advice" for Melania Trump.

According to Fox Business, President George W. Bush and his wife Laura Bush reflected

on the life, and legacy of Barbara Bush in an interview on Wednesday.

"She truly believes there's an afterlife, that she'll be wonderfully received in the

arms of a loving God," the former president told Maria Bartiromo.

"And therefore did not fear death.

And as a result of her soul being comforted on the deathbed, my soul is comforted."

Bartiromo then addressed Laura Bush, saying, "Mrs. Bush, you remain one of the most popular

and loved first ladies of all time.

And you have your own incredible leadership style.

Do you want to pass on any words of advice to our current first lady Melania Trump?"

"Well, no, I wouldn't give her advice, but I have met Melania she invited me to tea

at the White House.

She's a beautiful woman, and very, very lovely," said Mrs. Bush.

"I think she will do really very well."

Laura Bush was certainly right about Melania Trump's success if her official business

on Wednesday was any indication.

Indeed, as the former first lady was sitting down with Fox News, the current first lady

was treating her Japanese counterpart to a tour of a historic U.S. mansion as their husbands

golfed.

First lady Melania Trump might be one of the few not overly awed by a marble-bedecked and

gold-plated Gilded Age mansion, that she and her Japanese counterpart toured Wednesday.

While President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe golfed at the president's

nearby country club, their wives visited Whitehall, the 75-room, 100,000-square-foot, (9,290-square

meter) waterside retreat that oil and railroad tycoon Henry Flagler built, as a wedding present

for his third wife, Mary Lily Kenan Flagler.

The Flaglers wintered there beginning in 1902, and it is now the centerpiece of the Flagler

Museum.

Arriving in a motorcade from Mar-a-Lago, the president's own gold-plated mansion 3 miles

(5 kilometers) away, Melania Trump and Akie Abe were greeted by Flagler's great grandson

William Matthews, and museum Executive Director Erin Manning, who led them through a tour

of the home, which historians say cost $4 million ($110 million today) to build.

The close-knit relationships that Melania Trump is building with women like Akie Abe

should not be overlooked, even though the media likes to act as if she is doing nothing

but sitting up in her husband's mansion and drinking champagne.

The world is a safer place when the U.S. has strong relationships with its allies, and

a first lady can play a key role in establishing those bonds.

Laura Bush knows this well.

It should also be noted that the Bushs are not the biggest fans of the Trumps.

After all, Donald Trump wiped the floor with Jeb Bush when they ran against each other

in the Republican primary.

President Trump's leadership style is also very different from former President George

W. Bush's.

Still, Laura Bush spoke glowingly of Melania Trump during her Fox News interview on Wednesday,

demonstrating what a true class act she is.

The two families may have their differences, but Mrs. Bush isn't about to create some

trashy scandal by bad-mouthing Melania.

Customizing Email Signatures in Infusionsoft | BallenBrands.com - Duration: 4:44.

hello hello Jeff helvin here with Ballen Brands and today I'm going to show you

how to customize your email signature in Infusionsoft now when you set up your

infusionsoft account originally it usually asks you a few details such as

your email your phone number it allows you to upload a company logo for example

and a lot of times it'll help build your signature file automatically just on

that that process when you set up the account but if you want to update it now

let's say you see something going out in your emails you want to change it or

maybe you don't recall doing that you want to go check it well I'm gonna show

you how to do that right here so I've logged into Infusionsoft on my dashboard

here and up in the top left as usual we're gonna go to the Infusionsoft icon

and hover over that and then under admin I'm gonna go to users so I'm gonna go

ahead and select myself as the user here that I'm sampling and you'll see this is

my profile information that I have in Infusionsoft for my particular user

account so we already have company name I've got an email and I've got a phone

number in there so if you look down here to the signature file you'll notice that

this is the preview that it's giving me it's building my signature for me so if

I wanted to change anything let's say I want to change the company name and I

change that you'll see here it actually just modifies right as I'm as I'm doing

it as soon as I pop off the field here you'll see down here that it's updated

so let's say I want to go ahead and add my mobile phone here alright and I'm

gonna say that's my mobile and you'll see down here it added it to my

signature file now I can also use a signature image so if I go ahead and

browse and choose an image and select it it's going to upload it and actually pop

it right into my signature preview so this works out great this is a text

signature so it's easy to read in emails and we're able to again have kind of

some personalization with whether either a logo or like a profile image and it

works out great and then this will automatically show up in your emails now

from time to time you might have your own custom signature file that you'd

like to make a little more sophisticated and maybe not use this default one

so there is actually an option it used to be

available in all applications previously and it was called signature there is a

signature tab up here now in the newer versions of the Infusionsoft apps

they're not automatically installing those because they're not technically

supporting that feature anymore but it is still available so I'm gonna actually

show you where to go get that so if you hover over the again the fusion soft

icon and go to your settings under the admin column and then a left-hand side

you're gonna go to user so we're gonna update a user setting here and then

there's this option to enable legacy user signature we're gonna click yes and

hit save and now when I go back to the users and then back to myself as the

user I have a little option right here this says signatures legacy next to it

so when we do this there's a text version and an HTML version so I could

just simply put in the information that I want here because maybe I wanted to

show up in a different order for example or and then down here there's an HTML

version as well so I can click Edit and I can do the same thing okay so I type

that out now the reason why I might want to do this is maybe I want to make like

my website a link for example so if I go and type in Balham brands comm slash

Infusionsoft for example I can actually highlight this go ahead and make it a

link by using these controls here okay so I can select on hit insert and now to

link I can also upload images I can you know maybe do some custom colors things

like that so if I really want to get a little more sophisticated then of course

I'm able to do that so then I pop in that information and go ahead and click

Save and then when I send out emails instead of using this default one here

this one that it builds for you it's going to actually use the custom one

that you have set up so that is what you have as options for email signatures and

infusionsoft if you have any questions we'd love to help you you can email us

at team@ballenbrands.com and you can visit our website of course watch

the rest of the videos on the YouTube channel and we love Infusionsoft and we

love to help our customers we look forward to working with you soon
