Youtube daily Apr 19 2018

- Hey I'm Jake with The Verge

and we're here taking a look at

four new phones from Motorola.

In the Moto G6 and E5 series.

These phones are all gonna sell

in the two to three hundred dollar range,

but while they aren't flagships

they are really important phones.

The Moto G series is Motorola's top seller

and apparently it's the number one in it's class.

The Moto E isn't that far behind it,

and this year, they're even starting to look

a little bit more like flagships.

They have 18 by nine displays, oct core processors

and dual cameras in some cases too.

So, let's take a look at them.

So, this is the Moto G6 and the Moto G6 Play.

Moto G is always in Motorola $200 or so phone line,

but the big deal this year

is that they're really starting to feel

and look like much higher end phones

with 18 by nine displays

and they have these nice curved backs

that really look very nice.

There are some differences between them.

The Moto G is a little more expensive

as a higher resolution display and a dual camera

that lets you do all kinds of focus tricks in portrait mode.

The Moto G6 Play is slightly lower end.

It's going to be a little bit cheaper

but the big deal about this one is

that it has a 4000 millamp power battery,

which Motorola says

is probably going to last you well beyond a day.

So one other cool feature on the G6

is that there are a bunch of gestures

built into the home button so I can swipe to the side

to get to the app switcher.

I can just tap it to get to the home screen.

I can do back to navigate back a page.

And basically it just takes over for all the buttons

that would normally be built into the bottom of a display.

That was on the G5 too

but it has a really pronounced effect here

because by removing that we get much more screen space

and it looks really, really nice on this tall screen.

Now we're taking a look at the Moto E5 plus

and the Moto E5 play.

Usually the E line isn't as nice as the Moto G line,

but it's not really the case with plus model,

and it's a big six inch display

and the really big feature here is the battery.

It has a 5000 milliamp power battery

which is more even than the Moto G6 play.

And, Motorola says it's going to last you

well into a second day.

Motorola E5 play, on the other hand,

isn't quite as nice.

It looks a little bit older, has a 16 by nine display

with big bezel on the top and bottom.

It has a plastic back.

I used to think that both of these phones

still feel really nice.

They're a little bit thicker than the Moto G line.

They don't feel quite as fancy and high end,

but they still seem like much nicer phones

and they really are for the price.

Now look, I totally understand if you're really confused

about how all these phones break down.

That's why we're making this graphic right here

to explain the differences between all these phones.

Basically, the Moto Gs are higher end for the most part

than the Moto Es

but they really do start blur in the middle this year.

So if battery is your biggest concern,

there is some reason to look

in the Moto E line over the Moto G line.

We don't have pricing information on the Moto E line,

because it's going to be Motorola carrier partners.

They're usually in the $100 or so range,

but Motorola is hoping that with carrier discounts

they might even go well below that.

All of these phones are supposed to be available

around the same time, later this spring in May or June.

You might have noticed that there are actually

two additional phones that we don't have here:

The G6 plus and the E5 just regular edition.

That's because neither of those phones

are coming to the United States.

They might eventually but at least right now,

we're just starting with these four.

Are eyewitnesses reliable? - Duration: 5:58.

The report of people that witnessed crimes

is crucial in the criminal justice system of

many countries.

But to what extent can we trust the memories

of someone that witnessed a crime?

Witnesses can provide valuable information

to investigators, reducing the number of suspects

or helping to identify the perpetrator.

On the other hand, years of research in psychology

have shown that human memory is malleable

and susceptible to errors.

In the United States, an organization called

Innocence Project uses DNA testing

to reassess cases of people who have been

wrongfully convicted.

The project has already allowed the exoneration

of more than 350 innocent people and

found that mistakes made by eyewitnesses

played an important role in more than 70%

of the cases evaluated.

That adds up to over 4,000 years of innocent lives

spent in jail because of mistakes in

witness memory.

In Brazil, there are no good estimates

of the frequency of unfair prisons of this type.

But how is it possible that people can make such

severe memory mistakes?

First it is necessary to understand that memory is a reconstructive process.

It does not work like a video camera, in which we could

look frame by frame what was stored.

The "frames" of human memory are constantly

changing: some disappear with time

and others arise spontaneously to fill

gaps in memory.

The memory of witnesses can be affected mainly

by two types of variables: the estimators

and the system ones.

The estimating variables are characteristics

of the crime or of the witness itself that

can not be modified during the investigation,

such as the age of the witness, the time elapsed since

the crime and the anxiety levels of the witness.

A good example of an estimating variable is the

weapon focus effect.

Several studies point out that when a crime

involves the use of weapons, victims and witnesses

tend to focus much more attention on the weapon than

on the physical characteristics of the criminal.

Because of this effect, witnesses may end up with

a more superficial memory of the criminal face

than if there was no weapon in the crime, reducing

the chances of the witness correctly identifying the offender.

Another variable of this type is the cross-race

or own-race bias.

This effect consists in the fact that people

more readily recognize individuals and faces

of their own race, but have greater

difficulty in recognizing people of other races.

The system variables involve things

that can be modified when the witness

provides their report, such as the

type of interview used during the questioning

Concerned about the quality of these inquiries,

scientists have developed new procedures to

maximize the amount and quality of information

provided by crime witnesses and to

prevent their memories from being contaminated.

The cognitive interview, for example, was developed

for this purpose and encourages the witness to

provide a more detailed and

accurate recall of the event witnessed.

Several studies have also shown that positive-feedback

from police officers after the witness pick a suspect

may contaminate his or her memory

of the crime and so should be avoided.

The chances of memory being contaminated can be reduced

if the witness is told that the suspect is

not necessarily in the lineup.

In the lineup the suspect of the crime appears together

with other people that are not suspects to see

if the victim recognizes the criminal. It is also a good idea

to record the witness confidence

immediately after identifying someone, and

to use a double-blind identification procedure.

In the double-blind procedure, neither the witness

nor the agent conducting the identification task knows

who the suspect is. This decreases the chances of the agent eventually

influencing the witness decision without noticing.

Psychology research shows that

witnesses can actually believe that they are

providing correct information even when they are not.

Memory can undergo several subtle influences

and end up being contaminated without the person noticing.

This type of research has the potential to help

identify and prevent such contamination, thus

contributing to a fairer criminal justice system

that has a greater scientific foundation

underlying its investigations.

Chiropractic Adjustment: Neck and Shoulders Pain Fixed - Duration: 4:59.

Hey guys Dr Ray Marquez here local chiropractor here at Back Pain Relief Center.

We're here today with Alex, and she's got a bit of neck and left shoulder pain along with lower back pain, so

we're going to muscle work on her and an overall body adjustment.

To get her to function and feel better.

We're going to loosen the trapezius muscles up.

I'm going to put some pressure on the tight muscles.

We're trying to break up some of these trigger points or muscle knots.

Next is the cervical adjustment.

In order to adjust the low back we're going to do a bit of muscle work on her low back so we'll move the leg in and out to stretch a little.

We're loosening the muscles to allow for better adjustments manipulation will go a little easier.

Lot of tension can build up there from working or working out.

Lumbar adjustment to decompress the joints.

Finally check the leg length.

A lot of patients who come in for back adjustment, their leg will appear a little shorter.

The pelvis gets rotated, but it looks good.

That's it.

Thanks for watching, if you have any questions make sure you message me.

Shoot us an email or stop on in.

Have a great day.

What is EOS Canada's Opinion on a Block Producer's Hardware Requirements? - Duration: 1:51.

So the question is, "What do we think about hardware requirements? How do we

set up our thing?" So our goal is to use the Google Cloud Platform. We have, with

Diagram, we have solid partnerships with these folks. We know the team. We've

vetted for other products. Diagram does insurance, we have telemedicine

through Dialogue - it's an app you probably have if you have like social benefits

in companies in Canada. And so we vetted that platform for insurance needs

and health information and all that. And we think it's world-class

infrastructure. so we're willing to put our things in there with key management

and segregation of networks and that makes a lot of sense and gives us a lot of

flexibility also to scale up the thing to offer services that would go global

also. And so we'll be using, there's a Beta of Kubernetes private cluster,

which are isolated so in terms of security we wouldn't want that key to

go out. So we're dabbling with all these things and you know if at some point we

need to roll out hardware on our own servers, which I think would be highly

risky from my standpoint. Because you need to handle many things to get right. That

these folks they just know how to do it for many years and at scale. And

end-to-end encryption everywhere. We'd need to handle that so

unless we have good reasons I wouldn't go and do that on my hardware. I mean

we're doing that for the community, we need to have the costs low so that you

know cloud service allows us to not have upfront costs and allows us to scale up

according to the needs. And a good BP will, I think, monitor the usage and be

very fast at rolling out improvements to the platform, right?

Agility in that sense. So that's our take. Does that answer the question?

Oh you have more questions...Nice

2005-2010 Mustang V6 BBK Cold Air Intake Review & Install - Duration: 5:20.

The BBK Cold Air will be the most popular system currently available for the 2005 to

2010 V6 Mustang and will appeal to the four liter owners out there who prefer that bright

chrome finish, as opposed to the black intakes that tend to dominate the category.

Now, the BBK Cold Air will be 50 state legal thanks to the CARB certification.

It does not require the use of a custom tune and will run prospective buyers right around

200 bucks when it's all said and done.

Install will be extremely straightforward, so figure one out of three wrenches on the

difficulty meter here, with a little bit more of a detailed walkthrough later in the video.

So, BBK is one of those names that is just synonymous with the Mustang community.

In fact, ever since owners Brian and Ken brought their very first Fox Body way back in the

mid-'80s, they have shared a passion for creating a wide variety of parts which aim to make

your Mustang a little bit faster and a little bit louder, and their cold air that we have

on the table here will certainly check both of those boxes.

But, let's break things down a little bit further and talk about how the BBK will help

you achieve that.

And, at its core, you have that bright chrome intake tube paired up with their high-flow

oiled filter, which all together will eliminate that restrictive factory airbox and, in the

case of the BBK here, look a lot better while doing so.

Now, the filter itself is washable, and it is reusable, which is a nice alternative to

replacing those cheap paper element factory filters every year or so.

That filter will be isolated in the engine bay thanks to the included powder-coated black

heat shield here from BBK, and then, finally, of course, BBK ties everything together and

kicks in the necessary hardware to complete the package.

But, with the construction out of the way, let's talk a little bit more about what you

can expect when bolting up something like this to your four liter V6, and again, as

I pointed out earlier in the video, a little bit more power and a little bit more sound

is what's to be expected here.

Now, that sound does come courtesy of the open or exposed element filter, like the BBK,

so you'll be hearing a little bit more of a growl from that four liter V6 under the

hood, as opposed to before with that stock sealed enclosure.

And, as far as power is concerned, well, listen, BBK doesn't give you any exact gains here

with this particular kit, and, honestly, I like that because, ultimately guys, your numbers

will vary depending on a number of different factors: existing modifications, tune or no

tune, conditions, dyno, the list goes on, but ultimately, they will all have an impact

on your final power to the rear wheels.

Now, traditionally, listen, I've been doing this a long time, bolted up a lot of cold

air intakes, and historically you tend to see high single digits, low double digits

in that ballpark when bolting up an aftermarket intake like this without the use of a custom

tune, and the same could be said here with the BBK.

And yes, even though those tunes will help your final output to the tire, it is not required

here with the BBK, and that is a nice thing to point out because some options out there

will require the use of a custom tune due to the larger mass airflow housing.

Not the case here, again, with the BBK.

Fifty state legal, no tune required, all for around that $200 price point.

But, let's talk a little bit more about the installation here with the BBK Cold Air.

And, listen guys, if you've never installed a cold air intake before, it's easily one

of the most simple mods you will do to your Mustang, without a doubt.

So, 1 out of 3 wrenches on the difficulty meter is what you can expect here, few minutes

from start to finish, 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your expertise and just how fast

you like to work.

As far as your tool list is concerned, well, basic socket set in addition to a T20 Torx

tool to help you remove that mass airflow sensor, of course, in addition to a flat head

screwdriver, if you don't have a socket set laying around to help you remove some of these

clamps, both with the stock intake and of course the new BBK here.

Now, your first step is to, obviously, remove that factory intake first, and, with that

said, it's never a bad idea to disconnect the negative battery terminal before unplugging

your mass airflow connector.

With that out of the way, disconnect the clamp closest to the throttle body on your factory

intake, unbolt the stock airbox from the engine bay, disconnect any hoses you might've missed,

and then remove that entire airbox assembly out of the engine bay from your V6.

With the stocker out of the way, now it's time to get to work installing that new shiny

BBK option.

Now, me personally, I always like to assemble these things on a workbench or a table like

this first, that way you can just drop them into the engine bay in one piece, makes the

job a whole lot easier.

So, with everything kinda assembled here on your workbench, you transfer over your mass

airflow sensor, drop it into your engine bay, connect your clamp, of course, or your coupler

at the clamp closest to the throttle body, throw a bolt into the airbox assembly here

or heat shield, tighten everything up, and your installation is complete.

Wrapping things up here with the BBK Cold Air.

If you like that bright chrome finish with your V6, you want something to pop a little

bit more under the hood all for around 200 bucks, you really can't go wrong with the

BBK option.

You can grab yours right here at americanmuscle.com.
