How To Increase Battery Life On Android! (ROOT) - Duration: 3:45.
If you're a rooted user and are wanting to increase battery life out of your new or
old android device, stick around and I'll show you some tips that will help you out.
Before I start, if you don't have root access, I made a video on how to increase your phones
battery for non rooted users, I'll leave a card on the top right of the screen to watch
that video.
But without wasting anymore time, let's jump right in.
An app I use is SD Maid, this app will one hundred percent clean out your phones junk
files however I would only recommend it if your phones rooted as it will give you it's
full functionality that it provides.
You can find the app on the Google Playstore for free however there is also a pro version
which gives you extra functionality.
One thing I would highly recommend to do if you have an unlocked bootloader is to install
a Custom Kernel.
Many Custom Kernels offer better battery life and performance than your default Kernel that
your device or rom comes with.
You can find a good custom kernel on XDA Developers for your device that you can install in your
recovery.
Just remember to make an Android backup of your current rom instead of anything going
haywire.
If you have recently flashed a custom kernel and you are noticing bad battery drain, there's
an app on the playstore called "battery calibration" This app will calibrate your
battery and in return you will get better battery life.
There's an app on the Google Play Store which I highly recommend installing and it's called
Force Doze.
Essentially what this app will do is whenever you put your phone into standby mode, the
app will immediately close background processes to put your device into a deep sleep which
as a bonus will save a lot of battery life when you are not using your phone.
Just remember that the app will only work on android 6 or newer although you can use
xposed framework to try to enable it on android versions that are older than Marshmallow but
I haven't tried it so you will try that for yourself.
Alternatively you can use your recovery install this mod called Galactic forced Deep Sleep
which will save you a lot of battery when your phone's screen is off.
As a bonus the mod adds battery and performance improvements to your device.
If you want to squeeze a little bit more battery life out of your phone, you should try underclocking
your CPU.
You can use apps such as Kernel Auditor or Kernel Toolkit to do this.
Underclocking will drastically improve battery life however you'll be sacrificing performance
as tasks will take longer to complete and I wouldn't completely recommend gaming on
your phone with an underclocked CPU.
I would also recommend changing your I/O Scheduler to Noop as it will improve battery life too.
If you know a bit about CPU Governors, I recommend using Glassfish version 1.2 Governor profile
script as it will improve a lot of battery life.
I'll link the script in the description of this video so you can program it into your
device.
One thing that drains a lot of battery is your devices screen, there's an app called
resolution changer which allows you to freely change your screen resolution to save battery
life.
I'll leave a link the description of this video to install it as an apk.

This video shows the reliable detection of highly transparent objects
using the fiber optic amplifier GLL170 -
and a through beam fiber.
For the detection of transparent objects we recommend to change the amplifier's sender power to a lower value.
This adjustment is very simple:
Enter the parameter menu,
go to the parameter "sender power". Select the parameter value "low" and confirm the selection.
Leave the menu by confirming the menu text "end".
Let's teach the sensor on the detection object.
In this case a highly transparent film.
Therefore use the preset "two point teach in".
Place the object in the light beam,
press the "teach" button,
remove the object,
press the "teach" button again.
To show that the teach-in was successful the display shows "good".
The transparent film is detected stable and reliable when it enters the light beam.

Tutorial GLL170T (Part 2/2): Teach-in | SICK AG - Duration: 1:40.
This video shows the GLL170 in combination with a proximity fiber.
It is very simple to put the sensor into operation. You just need three steps.
First align the proximity fiber head in the desired position,
now, teach the sensor on the detection object. In this case a metal plate.
Therefore use the preset two-point teach-in.
Place the object in the light beam,
press the "teach" button,
remove the object and press the "teach" button again
To show that the teach-in was successful the display shows "good".
The metal plate is detected stable and reliable, when it enters the light beam.
For challenging applications the amplifier's parameters can be adjusted via the menu.
To avoid that the adjustment buttons are used by accident there is a key lock function.
To activate or inactivate the key lock function press plus and minus button at the same time for three seconds.
