It's already September.
Which means that it's nearing the end of the summer.
Although, the hot season of FFBE is still yet to continue!
So we will announce the new units from the Summer Festival, and other hot news.
Okay! So we just celebrated two years of FFBE.
It was a lot of fun, but now we get a Summer Festival to celebrate too?
The festival is about...
It's secret!
until the end of the show.
Oh, okay. Well...
Alright, we're going to have to wait until the end of the show
to finally find out what it is.
But then maybe we can start learning about some new units coming?
A character that is featured in the second season
is finally coming as a vision!
Okay! Who could that vision be? And can we find out?
So anway, let's move on...
It's Dah Sol's turn!
On to you!
Alright.
Welcome back to the show!
I am Dah Sol from the FFBE team.
And today I will be, again, bringing you
the latest information on the exciting new units,
and exciting new events!
Heck yes!
And, this time around we have season two units coming out apparently?
I mean...
We've been in season two for a little bit,
so it's not... you know
particularly new, but
the units are definitely new,
and I really want to know who is joining the fray, this time around.
So...
We have a new story event coming.
And with the story event,
we'll be getting three new characters.
We have Shatal, we have Domino,
and the legendary...
If you've been keeping eyes on our community
you might've heard rumors of Hyoh!
Yes! The one and only.
The legend himself!
Or herself!
I mean... wearing a mask.
Oh. Let's keep it, you know, mysterious.
Yeah. So, in the new story event...
This story event is going to be featuring these three new characters.
And you'll be able to
know a bit more about this mysterious swordsman, Hyoh
in this event.
And of course, if you complete the events and do the missions,
you will be able to get the usual stuff.
Such as Lapis, Cryst...
As well as some event limited items.
And I'm going to go out of my way and...
advise you to grab the Tonfa:
A two-handed fist weapon that Domino uses.
The numbers are going to show a bit low,
but it has Man-Eater, and it's a two-handed weapon,
and is going to be a lot stronger than it seems on paper,
but I'll be getting into those a bit more in detail later on.
Okay, so moving on to the three new units,
let's start out with Domino, the 3-5 star unit.
So she's going to be a physical damage dealer and...
The special thing about her is going to be
that she has a skill that can
raise all the party's LB Gauge by a little bit.
And she also has a very handy skill: Entrust.
So if you're into LBs, maybe you can consider her.
The thing with low rarity units who have Entrust is
that low rarity units usually have a lower LB gauge,
and Entrust only looks at what percentage of the gauge is filled up.
So low rarity units, they have easy to fill LB gauges.
And if you Entrust that to another unit,
you're going to get whatever percent of the gauge you had built up.
So... tricks!
Yeah. Tricks! Exploits!
Exploits.
And moving on to the 4-6 star unit,
it's going to be Shatal,
the guy with the really big shield.
And well, as his apperance gives away,
he's going to be the new tank.
And the thing about Shatal is going to be
that he will be able to pin-point cover allies like Gladiolus or Ozetta.
So unlike other covers which only cover physical or magical,
Shatal is going to be able to block both physical and magical damage
for one of your allies that you pinpoint.
Okay!
And even apart from that,
he will be able to provoke the enemy as well.
So he's going to be useful for those
-hard hitting bosses, essentially. -Yeah, keeping those healers alive, right?
And his LB is an AoE damage reduction
and stat debuff resist that lasts for three turns.
Those aren't exactly new, but
the percentages are pretty nice
and it does last for three turns so
you might want to
-consider him for the team. -Yeah. That's pretty good.
The highlight of, perhaps this video...
I'm getting chills.
I mean, last but certainly not least...
We have Hyoh,
the 5-7 star attacker.
Wow. Hyoh is...
Meta-changing...
-Revolutionary.... -Hyoh's going to be the new
Orlandeau.
Everybody is going to their friends list filled up with Hyohs.
Well said. I believe this is 100% accurate.
The thing about these TDH True Doublehand units such as Hyoh is...
that two-handed weapons...
Well, these TDH units can make the most out of two-handed weapons
because they don't dual-wield and
they have double abilities, triple abilities, etc. etc.
And the thing about two-handed weapons is that...
even if they have the same numbers compared to one-handed weapons,
two-handed weapons do a lot more damage
because of the way that two-handed weapons work.
So even if you have the same stats,
two-handed weapons, TDH units are going to be
dealing out a lot more damage
in exchange for versatility.
And Hyoh is going to be the forerunner of this two-handed meta.
And if you can get him, really really good for your team.
Yes. But there's also something else
that goes along with Hyoh as well.
That is important that we mention right?
Cause he's not only going to be the forerunner
of the True Dual Hand meta for years to come. Who knows?
But he also gets a CG Limit Burst, on top of that!
-It's like... -Yeah....
More and more and more!
-More and more and more -Hyoh gives you everything you want.
So let's go ahead and watch.
Yup. And... here's the LB.
Let's go!
Hyah!
Wow!
That looks like it's going hurt
-a lot. -I mean...
If a tornado made of fire
that can reach the heavens...
doesn't hurt, then I don't know what does.
Obviously Hyoh is not here to play around.
Very serious business.
All of that Limit Burst goodness,
coupled with True Dual Hand meta,
coupled with... you know,
all of the other amazing talents that he has such as
chaining and just like... raw damage.
It's too much. My heart can't take it.
And the good news here is that
Hyoh is not going to be a limited-time unit or anything.
You don't have to get him in a rush.
But if you do want to have a higher chance of getting Hyoh,
when Hyoh is coming out, we are also going to have Step-Up Summons
tailored for Hyoh.
And if you get to the last step, you will be either getting
a Hyoh or Awakened Rain.
Who is also going to get a 7 star awakening.
And be the top meta changing tank as well.
So weapon and...
Yeah, you get either or, but they are both excellent units
and units that a lot of the players have been wanting.
And the last time when Awakened Rain was around,
you might've been stuck with just the Mediena.
Not that Mediena is a bad unit but...
This time if you don't get Hyoh, you at least get Awakened Rain and
they kind of balance each other out,
hopefully.
But it's really nice seeing these FFBE original units shining
the way that they do right now because...
Yeah. FFBE pride, man.
Like, original units for the win!
And... apart from Hyoh and the new units,
there are going to be some new
5-6 star units who...
Previous 5-6 star units who are
going to be awakened to their 7 star forms as well.
I'm excited!
-Who is it? -This month we have
a whole bunch of characters.
Well. First of all we have Awakened Rain, who we just mentioned as well and...
We have Queen,
we have Tidus,
Onion Knight, Nyx, Reberta, Emperor,
-Trance Terra, -Oh, Trance Terra!
Mercenary Ramza,
Ayaka, Ace, Knight Delita, Dragonlord.
That was quite a mouthful,
-Yeah. -so I hope there are
pictures somewhere on the screen.
Yeah, somewhere. Floating around.
Well this is very exciting cause some of these, I mean...
We keep saying meta-changing,
but 7 star awakenings really are meta-changing.
And a one of the ones that people are going to be just obsessed with is
the new and improved, Trance Terra.
If she wasn't amazing before,
at 7 stars, she is
-Mind blowing? Yeah. -a beast. A total beast.
And we also getting the global original,
Reberta at 7 stars a well.
At 7 stars, Reberta is going to get
Dual Wield and True Dual Wield effects
when equipped with her Trust Master.
And she'll be getting massive bonuses to her attack multipliers
as well as some flashy new attacks so...
do be on the lookout for her as well.
Okay! I'm loving all this attention to the very...
Oh my god! My Japanese is coming out!
What is happening! My brain-
7 stars are like
-frying my brain right now. -7 stars awakened!
This is how bad they've got me!
It's so powerful, and Reberta,
I was going to say that, as an original global unit...
I'm just loving all the attention they're getting.
For example, Olive's enhancements as a 7 star were amazing.
People could not stop talking about it.
And now Reberta is coming in.
She's getting all of these changes as well.
-Exactly. -So it's just more to look forward to.
More 7 stars to add to your party,
more meta breaking stuff.
Yeah. And do note that even apart from Reberta,
there are going to be several global version upgrades and changes
to the rest of the 7 stars.
Well not all of them, but some of the 7 star awakened units as well.
So definitely be on the lookout if you have some....
5-6 star units stacked up and waiting for their awakenings.
Yeah, look forward to it guys!
On top of the new units and the 7 star awakenings,
we are also going to give some
other older units love as well
in the form of ability awakenings.
And there's going to be quite a number of those ability awakening characters.
I think they're up here.
Yes. We'll show them on the side
-so you guys can know -Somewhere.
-exactly who it is. -Somewhere.
But if you have units that are included in this batch,
good for you and
hope you have fun with these new, shiny, sparkly awakened abilities.
Right.
Because it's not only about the 7 star meta.
Your 5 stars and 6 stars are still very much usable units.
So if they have ability awakenings, it could be that their awakened abilities
paired with 7 star's could get you an incredible result in battle!
So make sure that you're not neglecting your older units
just because they're not 7 stars.
Their ability awakenings can still make them incredible units.
So make sure you're paying attention to those.
Alright!
And now let's talk about some bosses
-for September. -Bosses!
I believe we have about
three of them coming in?
I mean, hopefully that's enough to
-Crush foes. -you know, stay busy for a little while?
Yeah. I mean...
Whenever you feel the need to crush something or destroy something,
-I hope you're focusing it -Yeah, like
-on these bosses. -when you get something
new and flashy and powerful,
you want to test it out
and do some test shootings.
Shiny new toy.
What does it do?
Alright and so this time around
we're going to have...
The Scorn of the Two-headed Dragon.
So, more stuff for the Chamber of the Indignant,
but we are also going to have a new trial boss
in the...
Chamber
of
the
Fallen!
Did I make it dramatic for you enough?
I hope I did.
And this time around, I think it's going to be
a little bit, deja-vu for a lot of our players,
-especially in Global. -I wonder what it is!
Because...
It's the Malboro!
Wait. Not just a Malboro
because you get...
-Two Malboro. -At least two Malboros.
-You get a great Malboro, -And some kiddy Malboros.
And some children, so
you know how we have the family of bomb's child?
Well now, Malboro,
he has moved on with his life,
and he found a Malboro Queen.
And they just fell in love and they had some wonderful children
and they're all coming out,
to kill you.
FFBE is for family.
You have all these
-families. -That's what I've been saying
since the very beginning of this game, man.
FFBE is a family game.
Everybody gets to play it.
You know, Bombs get to have families,
Malboros get to have families.
The only catch is that
they're going out of their way to try and kill us,
but... Yeah, whatever.
Wait, I mean. Well that's where we come in, right?
We're supposed to put that menace to rest
with our powers.
Cause we're the heroes.
You know, they might be a family, but they're still the bad guys, so...
We do still have to take care of them, right?
So, be looking forward to that.
And then we will also have
The Scorn of Brachio?
-Oh, no no no. -No, no.
Sorry.
Chamber of Arms.
Yes, Chamber of Arms! Sorry.
There's so many, like...
Cause there's the Brachiosaurus.
That's what I'm confusing it with. Sorry.
So the Brachium is coming
to the Chamber of Arms as well.
So that's another weapon looming in the horizon that could very...
useful to you.
And, you know, you get two at a time!
Actually, this time it's a crown for those magic users.
Oh, okay!
So all of these bosses are going to come with
different, exciting, new equipment.
Right, so not every time, will it be a weapon.
Sometimes it might be an accessory or a different type of equipment.
It could be armor...
This is just
a foreshadowing to the future.
Cause there is some armor to be
-gained from the Chamber of Arms. -Oh, exciting!
Yes, so...
Alright, crown, magic-users,
be looking forward to it.
I think that's it.
I mean, I don't know what we're going to be
challenging next time in the Let's Play but,
we have our work cut out for us.
And yeah, as we just mentioned,
there's going to be a bunch of new goodies
and new powerful, limited equipment
you can get from these bosses.
So definitely grab your party,
maybe put in some new units and...
Maybe put in some new 5 to 7 star awakened units
and get on with these challenges.
It's going to be a blast!
Yes! Put them to good use
cause now you got those brand new, shiny
7 star units.
And they might make the work a whole lot easier.
So if you have them, make sure that you're
using them, that you're showing them off.

That is correct, and today we have
two questions that we have to get through,
so let's just get right to them!
The first one is by Vahl Wharton.
-Vahl Wharton, thank you. -And Vahl asks
can we get a system where we can upgrade or downgrade Enhancement Crysts?
For example, if I have 100 Tech Alcryst,
I could exchange them for one Tech Milcryst or something of the sort.
The type of materials needed depends on every player,
so therefore, we have currently have no plan for
this type of system.
So, I think that sometimes, in rare cases
RPGs have this sort of system but
currently we don't think there's a
strong need for such a system
where this is 100% required.
And since...
different areas, different bosses, different enemies drop different items,
if we make higher tier items available
more easily by farming the lower tier
dungeons or enemies, etc.
It's going to sorta defeat the purpose of the RPG of
building up your team, having a strong team so that you can
challenge the more difficult challenges and bosses, etc.
So, at the moment, we don't have any plans for this.
But, perhaps maybe in the far future
if we have a completely new system that requires dedicated farming
and is not making sense,
we might consider something like this but,
for current systems, we don't have any plans.

I hope I said your name correctly.
But, Aljon asks,
what is the future of global exclusive, limited units
such as Yun and Elza
or the Christmas and Halloween units,
and most specifically, Charming Kitty Ariana in this 7 star era?
Would they be able to upgrade to their 7 star forms in the future?
So Yun and the Christmas FFBE original units are currently
being planned to be able to awaken to 7 stars.
Okay, good news.
But, regarding Elza and Ariana...
There is currently no plan for new collaborations.
So therefore, will not be available for awakening.
-Aw, okay. -I see...
-Well that's too bad cause -Aw.
I'm a very big fan of Elza.
She's a great unit. Would love to see her rise to 7 star.
Charming Kitty Ariana is also very powerful as a unit as well.
So I'm sure many people were perhaps, looking forward to it.
