Youtube daily Sep 14 2018

Hi, I'm Bruce Clay, and this is the Ask Us Anything series. After switching to a

secure protocol, my website has been having duplication issues with Google.

It appears that Google is trying to index both my secured and unsecured web

pages. How can I stop Google from indexing both HTTP and HTTPS pages of my

website? When you go to a secured website, there's a lot of things you have to do:

Some of them are you have to actually put in a redirect that says everything

goes to HTTPS. You can do that at a site level and that's not hard to do. Where

you're going to find duplicate pages is where your old pages are in the index

and Google has not discovered that they've been moved to HTTPS. In that case,

we recommend that you take your old HTML sitemap, your old XML sitemap, and change

them and then submit those pages to the Google spider. The other part of the

problem that you may have is that you haven't changed your canonical tags. You

haven't altered the kinds of redirects that existed previously on your site.

Everything needs to be changed to go to HTTPS. You also have a potential failure

if you haven't converted everything to HTTPS such as images and your JavaScript

files and your CSS files, so any file that would be on the site needs to be

converted to HTTPS or you can confuse the search engine spider. My advice: Do it

all. Do it once. Make sure it's complete. Submit your old XML sitemap to the

search engine spiders so that they can discover your 301's quicker. That's the

way to do it.

We recommend changing your HTML and XML sitemap and submitting those to Google to avoid having both http and https pages indexed.

Canonical tags, redirect links, images, videos, and everything else needs to be changed to https.

Once fixed, submit your old sitemaps to Google so they can discover your 301 redirects quickly.

The FW18 Trend Report with Diletta Bonaiuti - Duration: 2:07.

My name is Diletta Bonaiuti. I come from

Florence. My style is a mix, I think,

between feminine and masculine. I really

love checked jackets.

They're very elegant and sleek. I like

polo necks, because I think that they are

very chic. They make the look more

stylish. My favorite are trousers –

leather. I love red leather because

it's sexy.

For the next season, I definitely want a

leather trench; a long one and in a very

light beige. My 'February age' is the

Seventies, with long hair, long dresses

big sunglasses. They had very good

vibes. In my wardrobe, I have a lot of

white corduroy. During Fashion Week, I

like to exaggerate a bit, maybe with a

snake trench or snake boots. My personal

style is, I think, very simple. I like to

wear denim or a white skirt. It's a

classic skirt, but you have also a

masculine jacket and red boots.

Everything together works in a certain

way, because all the pieces are together

in a new way. They really like also

winter because you can play more with

coats, jackets, layers – that is very elegant

and sleek.

Pieces with the similar tones like the

light green shirt and the dark green

trousers, sunglasses are a must-have. You

can have colorful sunglasses to make

your look more interesting. In winter, the

coat is the most powerful piece that you

can show. It's nice to change, and I like

when the season changes.

What Recovery? Poverty In The US Hits Dangerous Levels - Duration: 4:56.

If you listen to Republican politicians, or if you happen to watch Fox News every now

and then, you probably believe that the economy here in the United States is doing better

than ever.

Donald Trump tells us that on Twitter at least once a day.

Paul Ryan is out there every day tweeting about how things are better than ever in this

country.

The Trump administration even went as far as to tell the UN recently over the summer

that extreme poverty doesn't exist here in the United States.

It doesn't exist in the United States is what they told the United Nations.

Well, according to a new report that came out this week, we've got the poverty numbers

for 2017 now.

They're awful.

According to the data, nearly 40 million people in the United States were living in poverty

in 2017.

Poverty by this measure is defined as anyone who struggles to pay for the bare necessities

to live in the United States.

Meaning these people cannot, in most instances, pay for the bare necessities, food, water,

electricity, and shelter.

They can't afford those things.

Most of them are working, some of them, most of them actually relying on government assistance.

Government assistance, by the way, that's about to be cut by the Republican's proposed

budget because they've got to continue funding that tax break for the wealthy elite, so that

they can go write off the expenses of all their private jets, which yes, that is actually

a thing written into the tax law.

You get to write-off 100% of the cost of your private jet.

Meanwhile we have to take Medicaid, Medicare, social security away from the 40 million people

in this country living in poverty.

11.3% right now is the poverty rate in the United States, and yes, it's been coming down

slightly.

It hit a high of a little over 15% during the great recession.

But we're right back at that number that we were at before the great recession and the

economic collapse hit.

If that number ticks a little bit higher, it's going to have gross negative effects

across the United States economy, because as we've discussed in the past, anytime a

group of people in an area have less money to spend, it impacts every business within

that area, which then results in them having less money to spend and so on and so forth.

Less money, less spending equals economic contraction.

That's what we're looking at in this country today, because we have an administration,

and a Republican party that pretend that poverty doesn't exist, that these people aren't real,

that the economy is doing great.

You know what?

It is doing great if you're in the top 1%.

Even though Republicans tell us that wages are actually increasing, the data shows the

exact opposite.

Wages have fallen in the last 12 months.

Inflation has gone up by over 2% in the last 12 months.

So ours buying power has decreased overall by 3%.

Poverty is getting worse.

Here's a little disgusting statistic for you.

Child poverty rate in the United States is actually climbing, we're at 17.5% child poverty.

For children, living in a single-mother household, the poverty rate is 50%.

50% in a single-mother household.

50% of the single moms in this country living in poverty, and yet this administration tells

us that they don't actually exist.

Republicans tell us the economy is humming along just fine, meanwhile people have to

choose whether or not to refill their prescriptions or go buy food for their family for that day.

That's the real country that we live in.

Not the glitzy glamorous one of private jets and people like Betsy DeVos owning ten different

yachts, that's not America, that's the fantasy.

The reality is the single mother working two jobs, sometimes more than that, and still

not having enough money to take care of her family because the corporation that she works

for, that greedy CEO wants to keep it all to themselves so they can buy the private

jets, and the yachts, and the mansions, and all of that, while screwing over their workers

at every opportunity.

We could fix poverty in this country if we actually wanted to.

But that's the catch, we have to actually want to.

Right now, with Republicans in charge, that's not even something that they would ever consider.

23andMe HEALTH RESULTS | Whats my autoimmune disease? - Duration: 9:55.

hey you it's Evie :)

alright you guys so a lot of you

actually wanted me to do this Health's

DNA kit I already did the ethnic

background ancestry what's my background

kind of video it was I was surprised so

if you want to check that out it'll be

in the corner here wherever you see a

little circle and a little eye pop up

you just have to click on that and you

will see that video so this health not

not all the kits do it but I will show

you a little a little tidbit that I

found out that you can do because to be

honest I wasn't really impressed with

the house hard I paid another extra

hundred dollars for for 23andme just a

quick little background a major reason

why I wanted to do this was because one

I have an unknown autoimmune disease

trying to figure that out so yeah you

don't want to take the test too

seriously but it's in your genes you

know it's in your blood so I think that

can be very helpful with the doctor some

people can't handle looking at it was a

sickness doesn't stuff but in my case I

I think it's really important because

I've been trying to figure out been

through so many tests years of this

stuff so I just you know anything that

helps figure it out I ad so the main

thing I want to do is find out this

autoimmune disease

my mom had MS she had MS and that's an

autoimmune disease and when I popped up

for her it was really sudden and it

brought her down really fast if you're

new around here

you might not know that and we found out

very late that she had 11 days exactly

before she passed away she was Stage

four pancreatic cancer she was also

diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis I

didn't take that one too seriously

because she had fibromyalgia along with

MS and a lot of those symptoms are a lot

alike

they mimic one another so it's really

easy to for a doctor to diagnose you

with several when it could just be one

or two of them my father has leukemia he

was diagnosed a couple years ago but he

is in remission and doing great there's

no cure for that blood cancer but right

now he's doing great and he better you

better stay okay my father on my dad's

side he passed away of lung cancer a

year ago his mother my grandmother

Roberta that I've talked about here she

had dementia Alzheimer's my grandmother

on my other side my grandma Evie did

when I was named after she had emphysema

asthma I could go on and on cervical

cancer and three women on that side yeah

I had breast cancer my mom's dad

enlarged heart and my mom was 10 when

she lost her dad to a massive heart

attack he was only 34 or 37 I once ate

37 my uncle bill passed away 40 a heart

attack there's there's a lot of health

issues that run in the family

so I felt this was really important to

do hopefully figure out my other stuff

good I don't want em sspeak out like it

did for mom because there's no cure for

that either

there's medicines to help prolong it so

that's what I would want to do

thank you guys I'm having a problem

trying to record the screen as I go

along so I'm gonna move over and try to

have everything here for you now when I

get on 23andme it tests these variants

okay and we can get in the whole science

of this I can go in more depth of it if

you want to if you need help with that

but when you clerk 23andme and you would

go through the house it'll test all

these different variants for different

diseases Alzheimer's and everything

now as I went through the variants I

found it kind of weird that and good but

everything tested fine nothing popped up

so I did some more digging and I

found out when you go with 23andme or

any of those DNA kits you can actually

download the raw data file and with that

raw data file data data whatever all the

informations in there okay like if you

were to go print this out it'd be like

three thousand pages at 1,700 to three

thousand pages so what you do is you

download that and now you bring it

somewhere else now this is the website I

use okay there's ones that one this

one's free it had some in there and I'll

show you what I found it was a little at

first but I'm glad I found it because

now I'm gonna print it off and we'll

share it with my doctor cuz that's a sin

your genes that's a part of you it could

help it doesn't necessarily mean you're

gonna get it so these different ones go

through them and they show you your

higher risk and which ones are less

likely the warning and bad you know

those are the ones you want to be able

to check out and it even shows you some

vitamins it shows you which medicines

you're likely to have a reaction to or

which ones might be best for you so I'll

show you what some of what I got I won't

go through everything and bore you guys

but I'll show you what I some of what I

found I this one says hopefully I get

the right ones popped up if not I'll

read you what I find okay this is this

one says bad 4.5 because it has like a

scale and it comes up with your

different genes which is letters and

numbers and there's a whole science

behind that and I probably could link

that down below for you guys if you want

to dig into that a little bit better and

this one says 3.8 percent higher

increased risk for Alzheimer's doesn't

mean I'm gonna get it but it just shows

I meant higher increased risk for it no

the one I found out that was a little

alarming to me but not a surprise was

that I carried both genes that are

common for those that have MS this whole

gene is highly correlated with other

gene there is 3 times higher risk of

multiple scoliosis which is MS and it's

associated with the CT genotype and then

I have another gene that's a risk of

multiple scoliosis I definitely gotta

bring that into the doctor and so I'll

show him

that maybe look into the MRI for the

brain because right now the only things

you can really do to test ms right now

check for a brain lesions and it would

come up on the MRI scan and also testing

your spinal fluid but those are the only

two I know of right now and they can you

actually come back make it up too which

is scary but that's like many other

things like Lyme I have an increased

risk for celiac disease higher frequency

of a trail I believe it's the heart

populations I can't see the name almost

site goes for I don't know what that

word is for c67 70 of the MTHFR which is

10 20 % efficiency and processing Baalak

acid so they're like they they show you

certain vitamins you could be lacking on

this one says i have higher risk of

coronary heart disease okay and then i

also carry another gene that decreased

risk for Alzheimer's which is good so

I'm wondering if one gene came from my

mom and one gene came from my father

this one says blonde hair blue eyes is

four times more likely part of the 88%

not to maintain weight loss unless you

performed high-energy exercise go figure

right two times increased risk for

cervical cancer and breast cancer which

I I figured that would be up there more

increased risk for asthma i I have

asthma although I do like hardly ever

use inhaler now two to four times higher

risk of Sun sensitivity a higher risk of

Tourette's syndrome

my oldest brother actually has

Tourette's I seen one that came out for

gout too and my brother other brother

Dustin has gout but we all have

different fathers so they must maybe

they carried that gene from mom bad bone

density you have the risk of a lie or LT

I don't know what that means

oh it means increased susceptibility

bone mineral density variations possible

increased risk of a neuroblastoma not

sure what that is a higher risk of RA

which is rheumatoid arthritis better

response to paroxetine as treatment for

depression

so that's what I was talking about

a lot of autoimmune illnesses and stuff

popped up for that and the other one

says warning higher cancer risk and

that's probably because there's so much

cancer in the family a ridiculous amount

so that's mainly what I wanted to cover

with you guys here it's sucks not being

able to record the screen I was able

before by thinking no one's like charge

and my broke ass has got to work with

what I can do so I I hope that helped

answer some of your questions like I

said I I didn't really care for the

23andme house one because it seems so

wishy-washy and they only check for

certain variants there's so many but you

can to search through all the stuff

unless you do a kid so if you can find a

cheap kit it you don't even have to buy

that pay an extra hundred dollars for

the health one just get your regular one

then you can download the raw data data

whatever upload it to another don't know

how to do it you want me to do more

in-depth like step by step let me know

and I'll show you that I think it's

really good to know that try not to take

overly too seriously you know I know

some people really panic over those

things I think your parents them doing

the kit can be so much more helpful yet

because I'm female I don't get a lot of

information from my dad's genes cuz

don't get his Y chromosome but once we

get his test results which should we

come in really soon then I can find out

more I guess what I found out more was

of my mom so if you like to see guys

give it a thumbs up and let me know your

thoughts on it did you do one do you

want to do one I say don't waste your

money getting 200 other kits to cheapest

get that data and if you need help

retrieving that let me know and I'll

help you okay alright you guys I love

you guys I hope you're doing alright if

not hang in there and I will see you

really soon but if you wanna see some

crazy and also you should me

friends even though we got no money for

sure itself finding everything started

with them we just stopped

Indie Comics Are Here to Stay—Thoughts from Rose City Comic Con 2018 [CC] - Duration: 3:51.

Hello Rebel, and welcome back to my life.

Last week, Legacy Books exhibited at Rose City Comic Con, 2018.

It was exhausting and tiring and frantic and hectic, and I absolutely loved it.

Because I was working the booth and selling our books, I didn't get to spend that much

time enjoying the convention itself.

But I did manage to take a few moments to walk around and see some of the amazing things

that were being created.

I tried to focus mainly on the indie creations.

These are people who are making their own projects on their own dime and trying to turn

what they love into what they do.

And I guess I feel like I can relate to that.

A comic is a form of sequential storytelling.

And that sort of storytelling has existed in one form or another for a long, long time.

But comics as we know them today are a relatively new form of artistic expression—certainly

newer than the novel.

And as with novels, when comics first originated, the ability to produce and, more importantly,

to DISTRIBUTE them, was held only by a certain, very select few.

Over time, the ability to create novels democratized more and more.

And then, 11 years ago, Amazon allowed literally anyone to publish their novel, at least in

digital form, and offered them a huge and ever-growing marketplace where, at least in

theory, their books stood on equal ground with the likes of Stephen King and John Green.

Of course, the reality is not that simple.

Privilege still plays a huge part in the indie publishing space.

The resources and tools you were afforded by virtue of your birth have way more to do

with your fortune than any concept of "deserving" or "not deserving" success.

But still, the opportunity is there, and that opportunity is growing larger every day.

And the biggest realization that I had at Rose City Comic Con was that that opportunity

does not yet exist for comic creators.

There are a couple of services that have tried, ComiXology being first among them.

But ComiXology seems to have barely dented market share in the comics world, and certainly

hasn't proven the absolute game-changer that the Kindle was to publishing.

And so you seem to find most indie comics creators in the same position that you were

in if you wanted to self-publish a novel before 2007: you have to constantly hustle and grind

just to get BY, and most of your sales are still going to be print sales, which means

your reach is limited.

Especially when comics distribution companies like Diamond Distributors basically hold a

monopoly on access to national outreach and are notoriously hard to get into.

The world of indie comics still has to overcome the biggest hurdle that allowed the self-publishing

explosion to happen.

Namely: how can creators make their work available to the people who want it, on a platform backed,

supported, and advertised by a company with the size and the prestige to be taken seriously

by the industry audience as a whole?

But until that huge marketplace explosion happens, it's going to be hard.

A lot harder than most people think it will be, or want it to be, the first time they

pink up a pencil or a digital tablet and decide that they want to make comic books for a living.

And yet, there they were.

Out there in the world, smiling under the glow of halogen lights thirty feet above our

heads.

Comic writers, comic creators, and the many, many individuals who made incredible, unlicensed,

fan-created merchandise—not for a huge paycheck, but just because they wanted to share their

love of their favorite art form with other people who felt the same way.

So many of them, in fact, that I found it completely overwhelming and mostly forgot

to smile while making this video.

The world of comics may still have a lot more gatekeepers than it should, and a lack of

infrastructure that would make it easier for outsiders to sneak into the party.

But indie comics aren't going anywhere.

Not while creators love making their own heroes in their own worlds and telling THEIR stories,

whether readers like me are able to discover and support them, or not.

That's all I've got for you today, Rebel.

You may have noticed this video was ad-free, and that's because of my amazing supporters

on Patreon.

my Patreon link in the description below.

Also, check out my book, Blood Lust, which we released and sold at the con for the first
