A Shadow Over Freddy's has come out quite some time ago, but the creator has already announced his next game in the previous one.
Without a title or any details, this game was already hinted in some way, I showed this video teaser in the last episode of ASoF,
I also showed a second side teaser, which also has its own value and helped us to solve some other teasers. But we'll get to that later.
The game is called Porkchop's Adventure, but technically it's almost POPGOES Arcade 3.
Well, except the fact that Popgoes is not here anywhere. The game is made by the programmer of both POPGOES Arcade 1 and 2 and you can easily see that it was stylised in a similar way.
It's basically a fangame of the teaser game of another fangame. That's even deeper than a fangame of a fangame as it was with FNaC World.
Unlike the predecessors, this is a platformer and not an RPG game. In short, we move as a pig Porkchop and we have four different levels to go,
seeing the stars it seems that we have three goals to do on each of them, one of them may be collecting coins as shown on some screens.
Well, everything would be nice if not that fact that it's a FNaF fangame. The game is jokingly described as nice, friendly, funny, while it is being teased as a horror game.
It's tagged on the gamejolt page as horror. So that's basically the basic idea of what's happening here, you're playing a platformer on your "Gameman" console.
We'll mess up the order a little, so let's start with the game trailer because it will clear everything up.
Link to the trailer is in the description and should also appear on the screen now.
I will say that the scene where someone knocks behind our back and the player turns away, hit me hard, it was super cool, a nice plottwist near the end.
The game is made in such a way that it seems small, nice, cool, but at the same time it is a horror, we do have to defend ourselves against someone, this someone can get us.
This is a quite creative way to work with a FNaF fangame, unique idea, you defend against animatronics [note: my mistake, not necessarily animatronics] while playing another game,
it's basically more developed version of POPGOES Arcade 2, but there was practically no threat and the jumpscare was plot-forced at the end. In here it's just a part of the game.
But even then, the concept seems to resemble FFPS a lot, in that game you had to defend yourself from the animatronics but also click buttons at the same time, do timed tasks for you.
If you turn off the computer the specific button will reset so you have to start over. But here, no. In Porkchop you play the game, you can stop it at any moment and turn around to defend against the opponents.
This time, everything you are doing with the TV is more ambitious than just "press all the buttons".
These doors may also suggest that we will have something similar to FNaF4, but the main base, in my opinion, is just POPGOES Arcade + FFPS.
That's about it with the gameplay, but apart from that we also have one big ARG created by Phisnom - so big that there are still things left unsolved,
there is still something you can help with, and there is not much time because the game will come out in around a week, on September 15th.
What's interesting is that Porkchop [I said Porkpatch @.@] got basically just a single teaser, but it's such a huge teaser, consisting of a few parts, so we still haven't got it all.
Well, if counting what has been showed in A Shadow Over Freddy's, there were two teaser, but still - not too much.
First of all, we got a one-minute video, "The Adventure Begins". As you can see, it's a location from the trailer, TV, pig figurine, etc.
This is the first presentation of the entire location, but it's not the major part of the teaser. We find two notes in this video. The one on the right gives us the name of the twitter account: @fxzzvz.
It leads to a character from the game, which generally speaks rather intricately. So much that we have to decrypt messages from them.
And we have figured out how to decode these messages. We use the Keyed Vigenere cypher.
Next to the decrypter page in the video description, you will also see a link to a large Google Drive folder that I've shared, which contains all the information I'm going to share now.
All decoded twitter messages are there. Everything that hasn't been solved yet is also here.
Everything is in English so I can share it more than just on the channel,
[speaking to the Polish community] but if you can't deal with English, it will be hard for you to help us decode English messages, listen to English words, solve English puzzles etc. So I hope that it's reasonable.
The folder will be updated regularly, although as I say - ARG won't matter anymore after September 15th when the game comes out, so we need to hurry up a bit, it won't be
The first key used to decipher the messanges on twitter was the word "nevermore".
You can remember it from A Shadow Over Freddy's. If a person didn't play this game, they would fail at the very first riddle.
To decode the first messages, we have to put a message in the decipher and enter "nevermore" as the key.
In return, we'll get a decoded message. And it was a very interactive part of the ARG because you can talk with this character, you can ask them for things, joke with them and whatever else you want.
At the end that was basically it, a character to interact with, but we didn't get any huge hints, for the first days there was a lot of activity, but then it quickly diminished and at this point, no one is talking there.
By the way, cause I should say it earlier, the twitter character is Steven. His name is decoded in the same way with the "nevermore" key.
But before we go deeper into the details of this twitter, let's get back to the first ARG video.
The second note on this teaser led to the second video, it looked rather simple, some letters, some arrows... And honestly, we have failed this riddle.
The very first video riddle and no one has solved it. Even worse, that it turned out to be very stupid and simple.
Some people tried to make the letter capital and lowercase based on the arrows, and I tried to decode those letters using the decipher and "nevermore".
None of the two options worked because ultimately - one had to do both.
Push the message through the decoder and set up the correct letter sizes according to the arrows below.
And why do I talk about it in the middle of Steven's story? Because the fact that we didn't solve the puzzle quickly enough led to Steven's death.
Steven has been warned not to help us. He knew that the help would lead to unpleasant consequences, but he did it, he gave us the link.
And he died.
Well, jokes aside, he didn't die, but I'm afraid he's got a lot of consequences.
We've got the consequences in the way that "nevermore" is no longer the key. Steven fell silent for a long moment and changed his code when he came back. "Nevermore" does not work and we've got a new key - "gameman".
Steven has suggested it with emoticons, a pad emote and a key emote.
In the game, the pad has a name "gameman" written on it, so it wasn't a very difficult puzzle.
Although it does not change the fact that instead of solving it in a normal way, I tried to find the word "steven" in these messages by force, he's often mentioning his name, and I've finally decoded "gameman".
Steven has been writing more and more of these messages, many of them are either meaningless or simply do not understand this meaning.
Steven likes yellow, he likes birds and board games, steven recognizes followers on twitter as his friends and wants to help these friends, which is why he gave us the second video at ARG.
Later, Steven changed the password yet another time and it was even easier - the third password is "time" suggested again by the emoticon.
But Steven didn't have much to say with this key, "what is taking so long".
[translating it to Polish]
And... We are getting to the present times now.
I made the Google Drive folder recently, and I do not remember whether it was the same night or the next, but Steven said something very soon after I did, after almost a month.
And the thing is - I do not know what the new password is. Steven didn't suggest it. We didn't get the beloved key emoji we got the last few times.
Well, the description does have an eye emoji, but I've tried a few passwords with them, eyes, sight, look, etc etc. but nothing came of it.
Two of the three tweets start with two-letter words so I've found out the most popular two-letter words in English and tried to find a key for them.
If I could find a key that decodes one of these words, for example, one of them is "it", and at the same time the second word is an actual word and not a random chatter of letters, it would be a start with finding the key.
I would know at least its first two letters and it would be very helpful.
The problem is that I didn't find such key. I didn't find any correct word and every approach ended in failure, nothing worked here.
So I'm coming to the conclusion that Steven could change the encryption way completely.
That's why he didn't give us a new key because it's not a key decryption anymore. I do not know. This is the place where I am currently nowhere. I don't know what is happening with these three new messages from the September 2nd.
You can try to decode the messages yourself and if you do, try to talk to him, he will certainly welcome you, as long as his personality didn't suddenly change in these three new messages.
Just remember that if you want to talk with Steven, you need to use the same decoder he is using.
I'll tell you a little more about the twitter later, but for now, it's more or less all. The basic explanation of everything is done.
Let's move to the second ARG video.
Again, we have two yellow cards here, the one in the right corner gives us a message coded with the "gameman" key.
This card simply gives us the title of the game - Porkchop's Adventure. It's practically nothing new now, but when this video was discovered, we didn't know the name of the game yet so it would be a big discovery.
Unfortunately, I've solved the "gameman" key too late, after Phisnom has revealed the title.
The second puzzle is the sound in the video. This sound leads us to an "SSTV image", it looks like this. You need an "SSTV signal" decoder to find it out.
We have a rather strange description here of breaking something, gutting it, I do not really understand what can it refer to, and other than that - we have a message "HS2".
Obviously, this teaser has also hinted at the doors behind us that were revealed in the trailer later
Apart from these two, the rest is still a mystery. There is a note. 2541 and a padlock.
So another code, another key, stuff to figure out.
There are two pictures on the screen: one at the beginning with three letters and one at the end with four letters.
But there's a third image, a silhouette of a character appearing seven times during the video, with the lights on the TV light up each time.
As there are 8 lights, it suggests binary code and decoding it with the binary code gives us seven letters, some capital, some lowercase.
It seems to be a binary code even more if we notice that in the game trailer there are only four lights on the TV, and number 8 is related to the binary code.
This puzzle sounds like a new link to the next video, but it should have 11 characters and so far, we have 2 sets of seven letters. Maybe this key gives the missing four? It's really hard to tell and I didn't come up with anything here.
Roughly this is the whole summary of what we have about the ARG so far, but there is probably much more - we just didn't get there yet.
But really, I encourage you to take an interest in this, try it yourself, maybe you will solve something we couldn't and we will get to the end of the ARG before the game comes out.
It would be quite useful, I think.
Besides that, for the end, we've got two more pieces of information from the twitter page. Firstly, Steven is afraid of a character who is called Pale Face.
Steven repeated his name several times but is afraid to answer anything about him. If there is a question about the pale face, he immediately says stuff like "oh no no, let's not talk about it, do not approach pale face".
It is possible that the Pale Face has something to do with this drawing. We also know that a pale face has nothing to do with the pig on the TV.
Secondly, one day Steven has sent us a two-minute video on twitter in which you could hear very suspicious sounds.
It turns out that these are two recordings, one of them is played backwards and has a very childish voice, it seems that it can be Steven.
The other has a more mature, masculine voice and seems to be more like a recording or a phone call. [All available in my Google Drive folder]
Both of these recordings are edited in the way it's hard to get anything out of them. Some words can be heard better, some not too much. The child character somewhere in the middle is repeats the same thing a few times, it seems to me that it is "that's it".
At the end, I hear the words "But don't worry, Max, I will be there soon. Goodbye!" Of course, I'm not sure if these are the correct words, but it's something I hear there.
The issue with the child lines is that it seems like it was cut into pieces and I don't know if it has to be put together in a specific order or how, but it does look quite weird.
The lines of an adult person is more consistent, there are no breaks in here, it's not cut in parts, but the sound is much, much worse, there are huge disturbances.
The most obvious line I can hear is "nevermore" said at the very end. So these lines are the next thing you can focus on, try to figure out what is being said here.
Well, that's how Porkchop's Adventure looks like at this moment. It promises to be quite interesting,
although there are most likely still things that we should know about it, we do not know about yet, so if you are able to solve anything in this ARG, I would be very grateful for your help, really.
I encourage you to use my Google folder and if you have something to add, go ahead and tell it in the comments. Meanwhile, that's all for now, thank you for watching and see you soon in the next episodes!
