Youtube daily Oct 19 2018

You know, it seems like we've had really nothing but bad news to talk about for several weeks,

so here's something positive that happened in the United States this week.

US District Judge Randolph Moss actually slapped down an effort by Betsy DeVos, Secretary of

Education, the billionaire Secretary of Education.

Let's not leave that part out, because that's important.

She was trying, basically, to undo Obama-era rules and delay their implementation because

they would've allowed students who got swindled by for-profit colleges to have their student

loans forgiven and it would've allowed them to avoid arbitration, and instead, taken their

case directly to trial.

Betsy DeVos didn't want that to happen.

She thought if you borrowed money from a big bank in order to go to a fraudulent college

that you didn't know was fraudulent, you were being scammed, she still thought you had an

obligation to pay back that money, even though the degree you got was completely worthless.

She also thought that if you wanted to sue them, you needed to go sit in arbitration

in front of a friendly arbiter panel for the for-profit institution, where you would literally

get nothing back because consumers lose almost 90% of the time in arbitration.

That's what Betsy DeVos was trying to do.

Obama administration, to their credit, took the issue of student loan debt and for-profit

college scammers seriously, and they attempted to do something about it.

And they did do something about it.

It's just that those rules had not been put into place yet, and Betsy DeVos was fighting

tooth and nail to prevent them from ever going into place.

Betsy DeVos's loyalties are to the for-profit college agencies, those companies, and the

big banks.

It's not to students.

She has not done a single thing, in almost two years on the job, to make the lives of

students better, to make the jobs of teachers better, or to make education better.

Every single thing that this woman was done since becoming the Secretary of Education,

has been to the benefit of the corporations and banks, and to the detriment of students

and teachers and any educational institute here in the United States, except of course,

again, for those that pull in a profit.

Why?

Because this billionaire doesn't have enough money yet.

She's got a financial stake in this.

This is a woman who is heavily invested in private education.

She gets a profit off of it, and that's why she's trying to steer us towards that.

That's why she's trying to delay these Obama-era protections because that could actually hurt

her, financially.

Luckily we've got people out there like District Judge Randolph Moss, who understood what was

happening, understood that it was unconstitutional, and slapped her back down so that maybe she

understands that the position she agreed to take is about protecting students and not

about protecting her own financial interests.

Programming, although it could seem like people get sucked into it,

it also helps us.

It is very important for the fact of how it is changing how people spend time.

You can learn more about technology because as the years pass,

the whole city, the whole country is going to be automated.

In school we do many activities, programs on Arduino boards,

we use different programs like PSeInt, Python, Scratch, Sublime,

all of the ones like that are for programming.

Very happy, proud, to be here in the Casa Rosada presenting a new video from Code.org

to encourage that young people, in addition to using technology, learn to create it.

Microsoft the the primary supporter of this organization

and what we are looking for above all is for students to learn computer science

and that the curriculum is changed in all of the countries in Latin America.

Argentina is the first country in South America, and in all of the Americas,

that is going to change the curriculum to teach computer science, programming, and robotics

to all students in all grades.

It is a very important change.

We had an experience with the president.

We taught him how to use Code, which is a page where you can create games, applications, or web pages

like we are using in school.

And it was quite educational.

We showed him the different functions or options that we had to program different things,

what corresponds with each function,

and it was quite educational.

We got a lot out of it. The experience helped me a lot.

When I finish school, I would like to have a telephone company

or to be able to program video games.

I don't know...it's between a robotic engineer or being an artist.

10 FREAKY FACTS about HALLOWEEN (2018) That Will Terrify You! - Duration: 9:56.

Forty years after John Carpenter's classic horror Halloween first hit the big screen,

Jamie Lee Curtis is back as Laurie Strode in a sequel that sees the former babysitter

attempt to turn the tables on the murderous Michael Myers.

Yippee-ki-yay, movie lovers, it's Jan here, and today I'm revealing the secret truth about

the new Halloween movie and Michael Myers, including 10 freaky facts you need to know

about the film!

If you're new here, I do regular deep-dives into your favourite flicks, so tap the bell

and also leave me a comment about the movie for a chance to win one of these cool Halloween

merch packs.

And make sure you stay to the end of the video to find out some secret cameos in the film!

When it came to creating memorable death scenes for the inhabitants of Haddonfield , the filmmakers

behind the new movie wanted to make the kind of striking images that are still "burned

into [their] brains like terrifying postcards" many years after they first saw John Carpenter's

original Halloween.

But just how did the new creative team go about producing spine-chilling images of Michael

Myers' victims after their deaths?

Well, once director David Gordon Green knew exactly what deathly scene he wanted to be

seared into audiences' minds, Oscar-winning Special Effects Make-up Designer Christopher

Nelson set about creating it by making life-casts of the actors whose characters are killed

with specific expressions.

The designer then re-sculpted the casts for dramatic effect, slightly over-accentuating

their expressions and stylising them "to give a terrifying inhumanity".

In fact, Nelson's creations turned out to be so freaky that when actress Andi Matichak,

who plays Jamie Lee Curtis's on-screen granddaughter, first saw one of the corpses he'd made in

his workshop, it was so horrifically real that she refused to go anywhere near it!

To bring The Shape, aka Michael Myers, back to life, the filmmakers turned to actor-stuntman,

James Jude Courtney, who impressed them with his ability to "channel [the character's]

enigmatic, methodical nature".

And Courtney found inspiration for his performance in some rather freaky places.

First of all, there was Courtney's encounter with a real-life hitman who he met many years

earlier "through a mutual acquaintance".

The professional assassin lived with the actor for a while as he "wanted his life story written".

And Courtney says he absorbed a lot "just by hanging out with [the hitman] every day".

But that's not all.

After watching a film about a contract killer that Courtney appeared in, the real-life assassin

gave the actor the low-down on how trained killers really work.

Years later, Courtney took what he learned from that experience, especially the hitman's

emphasis on the importance of stealth and efficiency, and translated it into his portrayal

of Michael Myers and the efficient way he kills his victims.

In fact, according to Jamie Lee Curtis, "something changed when [Courtney] put [Myers'] mask

on."

"The combination of [his] lack of human response and his physical strength came out in a visceral

and emotional way."

For his version of Michael Myers, Courtney didn't just channel contract killers though;

he also took cues from cats!

Yes, to help the actor create a Myers' that was capable of emotionless rampage, director

David Gordon Green suggested he look at "cats in the wild [such as] leopards and cheetahs

[…] that don't rationalise anything other than what's in their path".

So, to get the kind of "cat-like quality to [Myers'] […] movement" which the director

wanted on screen, Courtney used the way his own cat plays and hunts as a reference.

And this isn't the first time the actor has looked to a cat for ideas about a character.

In the late 90s, Courtney appeared in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and "used a cat

to design [his] movement" for his demonic character on the show.

For Courtney, "cats are the most perfect hunting, killing machines on the planet."

"And the beauty of it is we don't judge a cat for what a cat does."

So the actor "carried that movement and the non-judgmental approach to the way [he] moved

as The Shape".

Nick Castle, who played the original Michael Myers in the very first Halloween movie, also

passed on some valuable nuggets of information to the filmmakers about playing The Shape

based on his own experience of the role in the 70s.

Castle gave advice about little subtle character traits, for example, how Michael Myers turns

or tilts his head to observe a kill and also how he sits up at a 90-degree angle without

using his hands, all of which the director found useful for the new film.

However, Nick Castle actually credits director John Carpenter as the person who came up with

the idea of the now classic head tilt back in 1978.

According to Castle, during filming, Carpenter told him to stand and look at the character

Myers had just killed, then tilt his head to the right, then to the left.

At the time, Castle didn't realise what Carpenter was trying to achieve with that little instruction,

but when he saw the final film he was blown away by the director's brilliant idea to make

it look like Myers was admiring his kill.

Most of the time you see The Shape on screen, he's being played by James Jude Courtney.

However, fans of John Carpenter's classic will be happy to hear that the original actor

Nick Castle does have a cameo in the new movie.

Make sure you look out for the first time that Laurie sees The Shape because that's

Castle under the Michael Myers mask.

Director David Gordon Green specifically asked the veteran actor to perform Myers' classic

head tilt once more, a move which apparently gave everyone on set goosebumps!

And actually, Castle also got to pass the Michael Myers torch on to new actor James

Jude Courtney in that same scene.

"When Laurie sees the Shape, that's Nick and I in the same scene."

"So he's in the first shot in the reveal."

"And I'm the second part of that shot."

"And then I carry the torch from that point forward."

"So it's literally handing the baton, man, it was beautiful."

"Yeah."

Now, while Castle's on-screen time as Myers is short, that's not his only contribution

to the new movie.

Listen carefully for any scenes where you can hear Myers breathing because the sounds

you hear are actually Nick Castle who recorded The Shape's breathing in post-production!

An absolutely crucial part of the Halloween movies is Myers' creepy mask, which actually

started out life as a store-bought William Shatner Captain Kirk mask before its eye-holes

were made bigger, its hair was altered, and it was spray-painted white, all of which gave

it the iconic look we know today.

For the new movie, rather than put their own spin on the mask, the filmmakers decided to

try to recreate the original's strange, soulless mannequin-like face and, most importantly,

the feeling it inspired in audiences.

But it wasn't nearly as simple as it sounds because four decades have passed since Michael

Myers first wore the mask and the latex would have changed shape after so long in evidence

storage.

Fortunately, the movie had Special Effects Make-up Designer Christopher Nelson on board

to get the right look.

Nelson has a real grasp of the history of both the franchise and the mask as he's been

a fan of the series since he saw the first movie when he 10 years old.

The designer researched how 40-year-old latex decomposes and studied how it looks when it

gets brittle, wrinkles, warps, and sags, all of which was essential for how he created

the new mask while still keeping the expression and form of the original one.

For Nelson, another vital element of the mask from the original film was that it looked

different in each shot; so he channelled that feeling into the new film making the new,

deteriorated mask look different at every angle, to give a sense that the mask was constantly

shape-shifting.

According to Jamie Lee Curtis, her "[unofficial] godson" Jake Gyllenhaal was so keen for her

to work with director David Gordon Green that he "tracked her down while she was on vacation

in the mountains".

Gyllenhaal was really enthusiastic about the amazing creative experience he'd recently

had working with Green on the Boston marathon bombing film, Stronger.

And that convinced Curtis to speak with the director about his ideas for a new Halloween

movie.

However, when she signed on to return to the screen once more as Laurie Strode, Curtis

assumed the movie would focus more on Laurie's daughter and granddaughter.

And it was only once she started working through her character's psychological trauma in rehearsals

that she realised the real depth of the work she'd taken on.

Not only was the shoot emotionally moving with plenty of tears, but it was also physically

draining in terms of stunt work, and Curtis ended up with a cracked rib after shooting

the film's final sequences.

In fact, she says "it took a good month [to recover]" afterwards.

Given the story's late-October setting and several memorable moments in the original

movie including its opening credits, it's hardly surprising to see jack-o'-lanterns

on display in the new film.

But getting hold of the hundreds of fresh pumpkins that were needed in time for the

movie's mid-January shoot in Charleston, South Carolina, proved to be rather tricky.

Set decorator Missy Ricker ended up having to bring in truck-loads of them from North

Carolina, and she also had to ensure she had many dozens of pumpkins of the same size and

shape so they could be used for any scenes that needed to be filmed many times over.

On top of that, the set-decorating team also had to work out how to preserve the pumpkins

so they were always camera-ready throughout the shoot.

The key to that particular problem turned out to be dipping them in vats of a bleach

solution!

Nick Castle isn't the only star of the original film who makes a brief return in the new movie.

Actor Donald Pleasence's character Dr Samuel Loomis has been a major part of the Halloween

franchise since it began, and while Pleasence passed away in the 1990s, Dr Loomis still

gets a vocal cameo in the new film.

Although it's not the voice of Pleasence himself, the filmmakers are pretty pleased with the

result of the sound-alike voice actor they found for the role.

Of course, this isn't the first time that Dr Loomis has been recreated by a voice actor

as that also happened in the 1998 film, Halloween: H20.

And, I'm going to talk more about Loomis in my Halloween Deleted scenes video, which you

can tap here to watch.

By the way, in this new film, listen out for P.J. Soles who played Laurie's friend Lynda

in the 1978 movie, and who makes a brief appearance [here] as a teacher.

Now, if you've seen Halloween, what did you think?

And where do you rank it against the other Halloween movies?

Healthcare: Candidates Under 30 on the Future of America | 2018 Midterms | MTV News - Duration: 4:48.

- The partisanship and divide is so great in America

that Democrats and Republicans can't even agree on the fact

that people shouldn't have to die,

because they don't have health care.

My name is Kris Rixon.

I'm from Greenville, North Carolina and I'm 24 years old.

I decided to run because I want there

to be diversity in our state legislature.

If elected, I'll be the first

openly gay legislator from Pitt County.

- Even though I'm rated by the American Conservative Union

as the second most conservative member of the House,

I've worked with Democrats across

the aisle on numerous issues.

My name's Aaron Pilkington.

I'm 27 years old and I'm from Clarksville, Arkansas.

So, I decided to run for a second term,

because there's a lot more work still

to do on the state level to improve our economy

and to make us more pro-business State.

- The one unifying principle,

in the Republican Party at the moment is making sure

that 30 million people don't have health care.

- We have to repeal and replace Obamacare

because its going to destroy the country.

- The single biggest issue facing America's healthcare system

is cost that's really what the big focus

I think should be is what can we do to drive down cost.

If we drive down cost then we are able to increase access.

- The biggest issue facing America's healthcare system

is that it's not working for everybody.

We're not taking care of our most vulnerable

and you see that here in North Carolina,

where we failed to expand Medicaid

to over 600,000 North Carolinians that need it.

- Am I happy we expanded in Medicaid?

It's one of those, it's a double-edged sword.

I'm not extremely happy about it.

I'm glad we're seeing it drop in our insurance rate.

I'm glad that we've been really inventive,

but I think what it really has shown is

that there's a lot more work in healthcare we have to do.

- My mom being a nurse has really given me

some great insight as to how

our healthcare system is working right now.

- There's a lot of people that go to the ER

because they don't have health insurance.

They need to see a doctor.

And, I think that's why you see a lot of North Carolinians

and a lot of Americans with a lot of medical debt.

- I've got a Master's in Healthcare Administration,

I've got lots of good friends who work in the industry

who are both physicians and administrators.

What I've found in healthcare is sometimes we have

the best intentions when creating governmental policy,

but how we think things should work

and how things actually work don't always link up.

Allowing those people in that field

who know how the healthcare process works,

those should be the ones who

are in charge making the decisions.

- The Trump Administration needs to deliver

on healthcare reform that works for all Americans.

Something that's better than Obamacare,

because it wasn't perfect.

But, we can do better than that

and I think that's a single payer system.

- No, I would not support

a single payer system here in Arkansas.

Well, it sounds very tempting.

I think what we've seen a lot of countries

is you don't get high quality service.

You know, I think Medicaid for all is costing $30 trillion

and that's just not, not sustainable.

- Conservatives like to say that healthcare

for all is too expensive,

but I don't think there's a price to high to pay

for our fellow Americans when it comes to making sure

that they're adequately covered under

a health insurance program that works for everybody.

That means ensuring that families don't have

to go home at night and wonder how are they going

to take their children to the doctor.

I think women in North Carolina should be able

to choose what they do with their own bodies,

whether it be abortion or anything that relates

to women's reproductive rights or their healthcare issues.

- We've made Arkansas the second most pro-life state

in the nation, that is something I am very proud of.

My dad was pro-choice and my mom was pro-life

and so a lot of times I heard about the pro-life movement

from a strong woman in my family,

so I really took to heart what she was saying.

I think its a failure of us as a society

where women feel like that's an option for them.

- I don't think faith fits in the abortion conversation,

because we're supposed to have separation

of church and state especially when it comes

to legislation that impacts everybody regardless

of what their religious affiliation is.

- What we need to do as a society is make sure

that we expand access for contraceptives,

so I think that's a great way for us

to make sure that their healthcare needs

are being taken care of at the same time being pro-life.

I think us as millennials, you know,

we're able to create our own graphics on things like Camp

and we're able to manage our own social media on Facebook

and we do so much ourselves.

Conservative policy is something that says if

you're an individual you're going to be able to succeed,

and you're able to do everything to the best of your ability

and I think if you believe in yourself,

you should be with us.

- I think the Democratic platform on for healthcare is important

because we're trying to help the most people.

You can't have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness

if you're sick and you don't have healthcare.

And, Democrats want to solve that issue

by making sure that every American

has access to adequate healthcare coverage.

2018 Outback UNDENTED🤩! RAW/UNCUT! #Subaru #PDR #Undented - Duration: 8:58.

hello world PDR coming at you here with a 2018 Subaru Outback jewel black super

nice car for a super nice person and it's got a dent from a cooler plastic

coolers corner hitting it right there now obviously I've got to get a grip

product on here heating it up hopefully you guys can hear us okay we are looking

at a hundred and twenty-seven degrees nice and warm these are the tools that

I'm gonna be using probably just my r32 I named it squishy and number one I'm

gonna go with number one down up underneath this plastic guard get it

behind that plastic even if I have to go down here in the front first that's how

I'm gonna gain access and then feeling for clips but I know Subarus so they

don't have any clips they just sit behind that little edge now this is a

2018 it's a brand new car I can I've got all the access I want and before I just

instantly go for banging down or pushing that Dan out I'm gonna go for banging

down some of these browse down here because if you look along this edge

there is a little tug there so we didn't really intro and show you the whole

dancing natural light and stuff but you guys see what we're looking at and this

right here where it kind of pinches is where I'm gonna go for trying to undo

that tightness because this is where the brow starts right on that edge with the

jackhammer this is the Shane Jack's jackhammer

Shane Jax is upstate dents in southern Carolina and

either southern or northern but I think he's southern Carolina and he's in my

opinion the best paintless dent repair tech in the world so now I'm gonna just

grab squishy get right behind it with my fingers like this on that tool like so

I'm just guiding it everywhere I go imma pull down this thing let me get myself a

little bit more room there we go fully accessed and if you see I'm

bracing off this tire so now my tip is just right in the middle I'm just

haven't even pushed yet I'm just moving it with my finger and now that I know

I'm kind of right in the center there 130 degrees we're super hot might as

well just turn it off give myself a little bit of sanity and I'm coming in

to the center of it guys and I am just baby pushing it because it's not like I

want to go along that body line and push the most severe part let's go back on

don't want it to cool I'll keep it hot and now I am going down to that body

line but really gently I'm kind of using the fog I know that you guys are

probably using the lines and if I show you where I'm at I'm in it's like a

little football crease and I'm in the center of it and then I come down once

oh gosh are we still on yeah might have had a phone call interrupt something but

hopefully we're still on cuz I am in the meat of it I'm right there guys

I'm just really taking my time this is probably gonna be a raw and uncut video

which would be nice to just you know take this whole damn out live in one

fell swoop as I just almost finish it up here

yeah we're getting real close to uh let's keep on keep on it just doing this

whole thing with the cherry tip r32 tribe indent craft tool bunch of words

but guys I will say this from the heart that if you've made it through to this

part of the video or just you know they clicked on this video thank you we

appreciate it if you want to hit the subscribe button we really appreciate

that I mean we'd love to see our community grow and people learning

something that maybe they didn't know before you know I'm not doing this to

teach I'm doing this to entertain and show somebody what I do but if somebody

learned something from it that's great yep this is coming out real nice now to

get to get this squishy tip to actually dial in to where I want when a when it's

a vendor like this and it's got the line coming down on the line coming down

there's no ways that squishy tip just rolls around and keeps on pinching these

edges out so I definitely have my number one sharp tip and no I'm not scratching

on anything on the inside here I'm just getting in and making tiny baby little

pushes to clean this edge up and I mean by the time I switch tools I'd say we

were at ninety percent and now we're rapidly approaching ninety five percent

here guys to the point where I'm gonna have to move the board to get any kind

of residual out and I do see a little bit of residual here with the fog I'm

just dialing into the last little bit this is normally the part when I would

would leave you guys and just here and finish work it but if I can

finish work this for two or three minutes we'll just have a really good

raw uncut footage let's see I still see a little tug down here let's move the

board find our angle maybe turn that thing off it's hot enough now and it's

flat enough now that it's not going to crack the paint but yeah I can still see

a tiny little thing in the brow or in the fog it's got a little brow to it

also but once I finish off these little pushes on the edge which is literally

right on the body line where I'm at right now I am BAM right there tiny

little pushes just gonna straighten it out real nice there's not really

anything to find once I get this out and especially once I pull the board off so

once again thanks everybody for watching this video let me let me see I might

just do this and I know normally I do a cross-check also but see if I pull it in

real close I can see it just wants to have a little stoppage right there on

the body line and

it's fine in where I'm at because it is very delicate and I am right in the

center of that body line making my last push cleaned it up cleaned it up now to

the most critical of I did I clean it up 100%

no I didn't but I'd say I'd say dang near 99% so that this little tiny little

thing that I'm on right here is so hard for even me to see now let's do it again

take one other look yeah it's so hard to see and then let's do the cross-check

let's take this thing off and take a look at the cross-check of it is there

any brow that comes out of the bottom of that edge I don't think so

yeah I think that one came out pretty darn nice guys so let's just turn the

hat around take a look down this angle yeah the last little push I made

honestly guys I I could make a little tap on it and I think I might we might

even just yeah I'll do that off camera but it's so hard to see that if I did it

right now you you wouldn't even see what I'm talking about it's impossible but

yeah I think that one came out pretty darn nice for what we told the customer

and what we gave him and we did a raw and uncut footage on this one 2018

Subaru Outback real sporty one - so hit that like if you would on the way out

guys other than that this has been PDR and a mouth piece

And some with fangs about this size...

Some short and fat, some tall and thing

And some don't even bother to wear their skins

I'm telling you brother it's a frightful sight

To see what goes on on Halloween night...

Oh when the spooks have a midnight jamboree

They break it up with fiendish glee

Ghosts are bad, but the one that's cursed

is the Headless Horseman, he's the worst.

That's right he's a fright on Halloween night!!

When he goes a joggin 'cross the land

Holdin' his noggin in his hand,

Demons take one look and groan

And hit the road for parts unknown.

Beware, take care, he rides alone!!

And there's no spook like a spook that's spurned

They don't like him and he's really burned,

He swears to the longest day he's dead,

He's show them that he can get a head...

They say he's tired of his flamin' top!

He's got a yen to make a swap!

So he rides one night each year,

To find a head in the hollow here,

Now he likes them little, he likes them big,

Part it in the middle, or wearin' a wig,

Black or white, or even red,

The Headless horseman needs a head

With a hip-hip and a clippity-clop,

He's out lookin for a top to chop!

So don't stop to figure out a plan

You can't reason with a headless man

OooWOHOAAA

OooWOHOAAAA

OooWOHOAAAAA

OooWOHOAAAAAA

OooWOHOAAAAAAA

OooWOHOAAAAAAA!

oooAAHHH

oooAAHHHH

oooAAHHHHH

oooAAHHHHHH

oooAAHHHHHHH

oooAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!

oooAAHHHHHHHHHHHHYYEE!!!!!

oooAAHHHHHHHHHHHHYYEEEE!!!!!

Aye...

If you doubt this tale is so,

I met that spook just a year ago.

I didn't stop for a second look,

But made for the bridge that spans the brook!

For once you cross that bridge my friends...

The ghost is through, his power ends!

So when you're riding home tonight,

Make for the bridge with all your might!

He'll be down in the hollow there,

He needs your head, so look out and beware!

With a hip-hip and a clippity-clop

He's out lookin' for a head to swap

So don't try to figure out a plan

You can't reason with a

Head.

Less.

HiiQ - SEO - Ep7. White Hat VS Black Hat SEO - What Is The Difference? - Duration: 5:49.

Hii, welcome back to another episode of HiiQ-SEO. In today's video

we're going to be discussing the SEO techniques that are mainstream in today's digital marketing environment.

The techniques most commonly discussed are known as 'white hat' and 'black hat' SEO

Although these two are often seen as a good versus evil

the fact is that a majority of successful SEO specialists use a combination of white hat and black hat SEO

techniques (and those that fall in between also known as grey hat SEO).

In order to adequately explain the differences and risks associated with each imagine

you're in a rush to get into an appointment in 30 minutes

but it's 50 kilometres away

If you were to observe the speed limit of 50 kilometres an hour,

you would be late.

If you were to exceed the speed limit and travel at a speed of a hundred kilometres an hour

you'll manage to make your appointment on time.

However, you run the risk of being pulled over at any moment and being hit with penalties.

You may be able to get away with this kind of behavior one or two times. But over time you're extremely likely to get caught.

The same can be said for white hat and black hat SEO. White hat is the technique that isn't as flashy

but will get you consistent results over time.

Black hat on the other hand includes techniques that may provide quick results over time.

Search engines are likely to catch on though and hit you with penalties that can erase any progress that you made online.

Let's get into the certain techniques and

strategies that will make up each in order to help you decide which route you want to go with. First white hat SEO.

One: creating high quality

content for users. Two: developing a good site architecture that includes compliance to coding and HTML standards

Three: relevant links both internal and external.

Four: unique and relevant metadata such as page titles descriptions, etc.

Five: relevant and properly labeled media such as images infographics videos, etc. Next, black hat SEO.

One: shady backlinks and PBNs. A PBN is a Private Blog Network

which we won't go into extreme detail in this video.

It is when you control a network of other websites that you essentially spam links on to

for the sake of increasing your main money site. Two: hidden text.

This is a method that used to be more common as it wouldn't impact the users

experience due to the text being the same color as the background.

But Google would see into the source code when it was crawling the site.

It's a way of increasing the times a given keyword appears on a page

potentially making it viewed as more relevant and likely to be shown to the same search for those keywords.

Three: stealing content.

We've always been taught in school never to plagiarize and that plagiarism is very bad. The same rule applies on the internet.

However, blackhat SEO will re-purpose successful content in hopes that they will generate the same success.

Google is smart enough nowadays to recognize original sources of content and by no means is copying

successful websites' content a guarantee that your site will perform just as well. Four: link farms.

This is where a number of sites that link to each other and/or particular sites that solely exists to contain

excessive links for the purpose of link building. The strategy can be impactful in the near term

but once again

it is not a long term strategy as it is only a matter of time before Google catches on and

penalizes your site as a result. Five: purchasing links. If you own a website

you're almost guaranteed to receive an email from someone promising you X number of link's for the low low

price of Y amount of dollars. Again

this can potentially be something that works in the short term

but we will highly suggest that you steer clear as these links can almost always

be bad for your quality of site and actually negatively impact your rankings.

Six: impacting competitors SEO. All these SEO factors that we've mentioned today and in previous videos that can be conducted off-site.

Blackhat SEO strategies attempt to negatively impact their competitors in hopes of

leapfrogging them in the search engines results page. In addition to being morally and ethically unprofessional

this is genuinely a waste of time and effort as

resources would be better served in attempting to improve your own marketing strategy. In

conclusion the safe and evergreen route is to pursue white hat SEO. If

you and your marketing team is going to carry out a white hat SEO strategy ensure that they have the following skills:

One:

how to do keyword research that understands intent.

Two: how to develop SEO content around keywords that adheres to Google's best practices.

Three: how to structure your site for search engines end-users.

Four: how to identify

technical issues that are hurting user experience. Five: how to get powerful backlinks through outreach.

Six: how to nurture relationships for continued content promotion and business growth.

The great thing about these skill sets is that once you've mastered them,

you won't just be another person who is trying to game or manipulate the system,

but rather you'll be a great marketer who is able to succeed in an increasingly competitive and saturated digital space.

strategies and the SEO techniques that are
