Mosaic Safety Controller Quick Start Part 3 - Logic and Timing Functions - Duration: 6:23.

Suppose you need an ESTOP a Light Curtain and a Safety Mat to control your machine.

And suppose you want a 2 second audible alarm when the machine gets shut down.

And let's add an indicator that stays lit for 5 seconds if the shutdown was caused by

the light curtain or safety mat.

To do that with discrete components, you would need an ESTOP Safety Relay, A Light Curtain

Safety Relay, A Safety Mat Safety Relay, and some timing modules to provide the pulses

for the alarm and indicator.

And then you would have to wire all of this up, find space for it in your cabinet and

document it.

And if you need to modify it later?

You have to do it all again.

And don't forget you need to create a report on all of this for the safety validation.

The good news is you can do all of that logic and timing and interconnect with just a single

Safety Controller.

And if your machine needs to see relay contacts instead of the OSSD outputs from the controller,

then you can add a relay module that uses external wiring for remote locations or you

can add relay modules that talk to the controller over the bus so you ahve no interconnect wiring

to mess with at all!

And all of your documentation and data you need for your safety validation report are

done with just a single click of a button.

Let's implement that exact example in the Mosaic Safety Controller from AutomationDirect

just so you can see how quick and easy it is to do.

We'll pick up where we left off in the previous video with a full ESTOP implementation.

We just need to add a light curtain … and a safety mat.

I'll go ahead and assign pins to all of these new inputs.

This zoom down here is a quick way to give yourself some more room, so you can spread

things out to make room for new stuff.

Let's delete these guys so we can start clean.

We want our machine to be active as long as the ESTOP is giving us an active signal AND

the light curtain is giving us an active signal AND the safety mat is giving us an active

signal.

so, let's delete this wire … grab an AND … drop it on the screen … and wire the

ESTOP to it and it to the output.

We need three inputs on the AND gate so just click on it and go over here to change the

number of inputs.

Now we can wire the light curtain and the safety mat.

Perfect – now if any one of these is used, the output will turn off.

We want to sound an alarm for two seconds when the output is turned off, so let's

click on the output and enable a status output and let's grab a status output block and

drop that on the screen.

Now, before we wire that, we want to turn that falling edge into a 2 second pulse, so

we go grab a monostable B function block which does exactly that and drop it on the screen

and wire it up.

We want it to output a pulse that is 2 seconds long and we want it start when the status

into it drops so we leave this unchecked.

We do want it to automatically reset each time.

Well that's great except for one thing.

When the status drops, this WILL produce a pulse, but it's inverted from what we need.

The little graphic on this icon even shows you that.

So, we need to invert this signal.

How do we do that?

We COULD use this invert function, BUT there is an easier way.

Just right click on this input and look – it added a little bubble here.

That means this input will be inverted!

Exactly what we need.

We also want to light an indicator for 5 seconds when either of these are used.

That's exactly what we just did, so I'm going ot copy these three blocks, paste them

in and get them in the right place.

Wire everything up and change the monostable to a 5 second duration.

And we want to invert that signal too.

Done.

Let's verify it.

Uh-oh!

We got an error.

Ahh, it says some I?O's are missing pin numbers and that the Safety Mat requires test

signals.

I love that the software dims all the blocks with issues.

So, let's assign pins to the outputs … and add click on the safety mat so we can add

the test signals it needs.

Now if we verify it, it says everything is OK, so we connect – enter the default password

which is SAFEPASS - and upload … I went ahead and modified the wiring in my

demo rack like this – added the safety mat and test signals.

And added the light curtain.

And added the two status outputs like this.

OK, The programming is done, so we can drop into monitor mode to restart the controller.

Our ESTOP was set up with a manual reset, so I'm going to reach over and preset the

reset button to get the outputs back on-line.

Hit the ESTOP – Output Turns off and the Audio signal stays active for 2 seconds.

Perfect.

Undo the ESTOP.

Reset the system.

Break the light curtain – The outputs turn off, 2 second audio AND a 5 second indicator.

Perfect.

Reset the output.

Step on the mat – Output shuts down, 2 second audio AND a 5 second indicator.

Perfect.

Reset the output.

That's it.

You should have a pretty good feel now for how to use logic and timing in your programs

AND how much easier it is than trying to wire all this stuff up with discrete safety relay

modules.

And look at this, one click of a button and all of the safety validation data you need

for your report is ready to go.

You don't have to spend all that time figuring it out yourself.

To me, that's worth the price of admission all by itself!

We have only skimmed the surface here.

There are lots of other functions over here that will make your life so much easier so

take some time to experiment with them.

Remember – simply right click on any block to bring up help on that function.

Wouldn't it be great if you could try all of these functions WITHOUT sending the program

to real hardware?

Well, guess what ... Mosaic Safety Designer has a built-in simulator and that allows you

to do just that – test your program BEFORE trying it on real hardware.

Which means you no longer have to use your expensive hardware as a crash dummy guinea

pig for a program that may or may not work.

We'll learn how to use that simulator in the next video tutorial.

-------------------------------------------

Mosaic Safety Controller Quick Start Part 2 - ESTOP - Duration: 7:52.

Let's create a full featured ESTOP function in the Mosaic Safety Controller with redundancy,

input monitoring, output monitoring, two channel OSSD outputs, status indication, error indication,

safety relay outputs with feedback and a manual reset.

Let's use the workflow from the previous video.

Step 1 – Configure the system.

I'm using the same configuration as the previous video so there is no need to change

it here.

Now remember: Even though we are not using these modules in this tutorial, we do need

to show them in the configuration because they are connected to the controller.

The relay module is just a passive unit with relays and contacts inside so we don't add

it to the configuration because the controller doesn't communicate with it.

Of course, your configuration will probably be different.

Step 2 – Add components.

Let's start with just a single channel ESTOP and then we'll switch that to a redundant

two channel ESTOP later in the video.

You can then choose to use the one that your risk assessment requires.

And let's add an OSSD output.

Step 3 - Assign an input pin … and assign the output pin.

Notice that the second output and the feedback pin are automatically assigned when you select

the initial output pin.

Step 4 – Wire them together both here and the external wiring like this: The ESTOP comes

in on this pin, the output to relays is on these pins and the aux contact feedback is

wired to the Controller reset pin so it can't reset until it sees the external relays or

contactors actually worked.

Step 5 – Verify it – looks good!

Step 6 – Connect to the controller – remember the default password is SAFEPASS

Step 7 – Send the program to the controller Step 8 – Drop into monitor mode to disconnect

and restart the controller.

We don't need a password for monitoring.

And sure enough if I press the ESTOP we see the trace turn RED and more importantly the

controller LEDs tells it output 1 is off.

If I release the ESTOP the controller automatically resets the output and turns the light Green.

Perfect.

Let's change that from an automatic reset to a manual reset.

Turn of the monitor mode and click on the OSSD output.

Click here to change to manual reset.

I modified the wiring to add in a manual reset button here.

Let's add an error and a status signal output while we are here.

Drag a status output onto the screen, copy and paste that.

And wire them to the assigned pins.

I connected the status pin to this green indicator like this.

Let's tell it which outputs to use, and let's label those too.

Ahh, now it's much easier to tell what the intent of these pins are.

We're not going to take the time to label everything else in this video, but I do highly

recommend it.

Great, let's verify that, connect to the controller, enter the default password, and

send the new program to the controller.

Go into monitor mode to disconnect from the controller and get it running.

There is no default password for monitoring.

The first thing we notice is that the CLEAR LED is on – that tells us the ESTOP has

been cleared and the controller is waiting for us to issue the manual reset.

So, I'll reach over and press the new manual reset button and sure enough our output turns

green telling us it is active, and the CLEAR LED went out.

Now if I press the ESTOP, the output turns RED telling us the ESTOP is being pressed.

I'll release the ESTOP and we see the CLEAR LED is telling us the system is clear to be

reset.

When I hit the manual rest button … the output is running again, which we can also

see on the STATUS LED and the STATUS indicator we wired up.

And of course, the Monitor screen shows us the same thing: I'll hit the ESTOP again.

Release it and issue a manual reset.

Perfect.

That's great, but there is an issue.

What happens if this input gets shorted to 24 Volts.

Then pressing the ESTOP to open its contacts won't matter, will it?

That's a safety issue.

We fix that by connecting one of these test outputs to the input.

This tells the controller we are connecting our ESTOP input to the Test 1 output signal

on pin 13 instead of a static 24 volts.

So now the controller can monitor the estop input and if it doesn't see the pulses it

expects, it will issue a fault.

Let's try that.

Verify – got our OK - Connect, enter the default password, and send the new program

to the controller.

That was successful, so let's open the monitor screen to disconnect and restart the controller.

Again, No password is needed to monitoring.

Normal operation hasn't changed.

Controller comes up waiting to be reset.

I'll press the manual reset button and the clear light goes out and the output turns

on.

Press the ESTOP button and the output turns off.

Release the ESTOP, press the rest button and we are back on line.

Now I'm going to take a wire and I'm gonna short out the ESTOP button to 24 volts.

Ahh, look at that.

The controller immediately turned the output off.

When I remove the short, the CLEAR LED lights up saying the coast is clear and we can reset

the system.

Perfect.

Can we use a 2 contact ESTOP to get redundancy?

Sure!

Stop monitoring.

Click on the ESTOP and instead of a single we want a double.

Let's assign it a pin on the controller and add monitoring from test output two which

is on pin 14.

I modified the test set wiring to match that.

Verify.

Connect using the default password.

Send the program to the controller.

Looks good.

Let' drop into monitor mode to disconnect and restart the controller.

Again, no password required for monitor mode.

The cis waiting to be reset so I'll do that, and we are up and running.

Press the ESTOP and everything works as expected.

I'll short out one of the ESTOP leads to 24 volts, and sure enough, the controller

shuts down the output.

Release the short, hit the manual reset and we are back up and running.

We are currently running a manual reset.

But what is this Monitored thing?

Well, the manual reset just looks for a transition.

The monitored version is the same thing, BUT it also looks for the falling edge too.

So, it has to see a pulse to reset the controller.

Again, additional safety.

The last thing is the K Time monitoring.

Look at this: if you right click on any object on the screen, you can get instant help on

that item.

This tells us that K Time monitoring limits the time between when and output goes active

and then the controller should see the feedback signal react.

You can set that time to anything you want.

Again, just another thing you can use to tighten up your safety system even more.

Would you normally use a safety controller to do just an ESTOP function – probably

not.

There are over two dozen ESTOP relay solutions on the AutomationDirect Website that will

give you a much more cost-effective solution.

But, if you know you're gonna be adding at least two other safety devices like light

curtains, gate switches, foot switches, or sensor, or stuff like that … then you will

find adding those to a safety controller will be much easier, more cost effective and easier

to maintain.

Plus, you just click a button to generate the safety data you need for your report – that's

a huge time saver.

We'll see how to build and simulate multi-input safety systems with logic functions and delays

in the next video.

Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera (Legendado) HD - Duration: 8:33.

I've been looking so long for you now you won't get away from my grasp

You've been living so long in hiding in hiding behind that false mask

And you know and I know that you ain't got long now to last

Your looks and your feelings are just the remains of your past

You're standing in the wings, there you wait for the curtain to fall

Knowing the terror and holding you have on us all

Yeah, I know that you're gonna scratch me, maim me and maul

You know I'm helpless from your mesmerising cat call

Keep your distance, walk away, don't take his bait

Don't you stray

don't fade away

Watch your step, he's out to get you, come what may

Don't you stray, from the narrow way

I'm running and hiding in my dreams you're always there

You're the Phantom of the Opera, you're the devil, you're just out to scare

You damaged my mind and my soul it just floats through the air

You haunt me, you taunt me, you torture me and back at your lair

Hey Rock fans, what's up?

This song is inspired by the hugely famous novel of the same name

From French literature

written by Gaston Leroux

(don't know if I pronounced his name right)

The novel story takes place at the Paris Opera

where there are rumors that it is haunted by a ghost

In fact, it is haunted

though not by a ghost, but by a deformed man whose name is Erik

who wears a mask to hide his deformations

The Phantom of the Opera falls in love with Christine Daaé

(don't know if I pronounced right either)

a young and talented singer who is replacing another that became ill

then he kidnaps her and keeps her trapped in his lair

and after several events

Christine ends up fond of Erik

I won't tell more than that

for not to spoil the experience of someone who, by chance

don't know the story and got interested

But it is worth mentioning that Iron Maiden song is from 1980

and the Broadway musical that transformed The Phantom of the Opera into the most profitable entertainment work of all time

And that's on show until today

5 Behaviors that Predict Failure in a Relationship|HFE♪ - Duration: 8:09.

5 Behaviors that Predict Failure in a Relationship

We can't try to pretend our partner will change if we have never told him that we are bothered by his behavior.

Instead, this is directing our relationship towards failure.

Sometimes, when a relationship fails, we ask ourselves questions like, " Why, when everything was going well?".

However, are you sure that everything was going well? Today, we will discover some behaviors that will help predict failure in a relationship.

Relationships don't fail over night without an apparent reason.

There are some behaviors that we've been carrying out without us realizing how harmful they are.

Let's see what they are.

Criticizing your partner.

One of the first behaviors that can help predict failure in a relationship is when we criticize our partner for how they look, drive, the clothes they wear, how they talk, etc.

Our critics have a goal: to change the other person.

This is something that is never going to be possible, but is an attempt to manipulate the other person and change them into someone they're not.

In order to have a healthy and solid relationship, partners must accept each other completely for who they are.

If we don't like them for who they are, we have two options: accept it or leave them.

However, criticizing them is never an option.

The other person insults you.

Does your partner make fun of you? On occasion, does he or she humiliate you? If this is how you feel but you don't make it known to them, you're not doing anything to solve the problem.

On occasion, our partner has a way of making us feel hurt, but we deal with it in the name of love.

The most probable reason is that we are suffering form emotional dependence.

Because of that, we don't know how to say "I'm not going to tolerate this; I'm leaving.".

It's important that you keep in mind that you have to have respect in a relationship.

If not, this will be, without a doubt, another one of the behaviors that will predict your relationship's failure.

It's always the other person's fault.

Among all of the behaviors that predict the failure of a relationship, this is one of the clearest.

It's when the blame is always put on someone else, meaning the person never takes responsibility. .

Let's imagine that a women blames her partner because he put his feet on the table.

She blames him for it, when in reality, they have been together for two years and she has never told him to take his feet off the table.

Who is really to blame?.

It's very easy to put the blame on someone else, and not only for things like this, but for other things that we don't realize.

The woman should have made it known from the start that she didn't like it, but instead, she tried to make her partner "guess" that it was something that bothered her.

This attitude is not correct, and the woman should assume the responsibility in the situation so that she can learn from it and apply this lesson to future issues.

Silence and indifference.

There is type of attitude that is pretty toxic and whose intent is to manipulate the relationship.

In this case, we're talking about silence and indifference.

Actions like blaming or criticizing can make someone choose to be silent and indifferent in order to "punish" their partner.

This attitude tries to make the other person submit, in addition to treating them without a single bit of respect.

When our partner tries to punish us for saying what we think or what's bothering us and they punish us with silence, that's when it is time to leave the relationship.

Our partner forces and demands things.

This has a lot to do with the unconditional acceptation that we were talking about at the beginning.

Forcing and demanding certain things from our partner is one of the behaviors that predicts relationship failure.

We cannot force and demand anything from our partner.

They are a free person who we need to respect without making any attempt to manipulate them at our whim.

If this happens in your relationship, you should rethink it.

 Manipulative attitudes are very toxic.

Have you experienced this type of behavior that can predict relationship failure? Detecting them in time will allow you to put an end to the situation before it causes even more harm.

4 Natural Remedies for High Blood Pressure|HFE♪ - Duration: 8:18.

4 Natural Remedies for High Blood Pressure

Garlic, olive oil, and dark chocolate are great natural treatments for high blood pressure.

It'll surprise you how simple these remedies are.

When talking about your health, any natural, alternative treatment that has some scientific basis for treating a preexisting condition is always welcome.

In this article, we're going to give you a list of natural remedies for high blood pressure.

They will help you treat hypertension.

You'll see how easy they are to get.

And, you'll also see your problems start to disappear.

Before we start, you should know how a patient is diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure).

To do this, a doctor takes their blood pressure regularly.

Or in other words, over several check-ups.

The doctor will say how often they need to measure it.

Generally, high blood pressure is diagnosed after two or more consecutive high blood pressure readings.

There is some important information you should remember. Leaving your blood pressure alone could have severe health consequences. These include strokes, blood clots, facial paralysis, and even heart attacks.

We don't want to alarm you, we just want you to know that keeping it under control is important for your health.

4 natural remedies for high blood pressure You'll be surprised by how simple they are.

Lemon juice and parsley Water retention is never a good sign.

This is especially true if you suffer from high blood pressure. Lemon has fantastic properties for this.

Lemon juice is a great source of vitamin C. This is a compound that's great for fighting toxins and other elements that build up when you retain liquids.

Also, lemon juice's key properties are its diuretic and filtering abilities.

Remember that, like the good fruit it is, it has large amounts of water.

This translates to it being the perfect ingredient for natural and safe body purification.

You should drink one or two cups of sugarless lemon juice every day.

IF you do this for breakfast, it helps get your body ready for purification.

This gets rid of substances that can cause stress.

Prevention and discipline are everything here.

Garlic Garlic is the key ingredient in the world of natural remedies. It's considered the most useful for treating an endless list of medical, nutritional, orthopedic, and many other problems.

For high blood pressure, garlic is suggested for relieving this disease's symptoms.

Many specialists recommend eating garlic as a natural remedy for high blood pressure.

It also helps reduce your cholesterol. The properties in garlic give you benefits like dilating your arteries.

It also prevents the formation of blood clots.

You can take it daily as a pill (garlic pills), add garlic to your food, or eat a clean clove of garlic that you've left in a cup of water for 6 to 8 hours.

To do this last suggestion, you can put it in the water before you go to bed and eat it the next morning.

Dark chocolate We know that you'll really like this remedy.

Or, you should have some excitement because of this exquisite alternative. Dark chocolate has flavonoids.

These give you extraordinary benefits for your heart health.

They also help you to lower your blood pressure.

Because of this, experts recommend eating a small amount on a daily basis.

Keep in mind that this needs to be dark chocolate.

Milk chocolate doesn't give your body the same benefits.

Olive oil From the time of the Egyptians, there have been many well-known benefits of olive oil and its products. Olive oil naturally manages high blood pressure in your body.

This healthy fat is made up of three thousand different chemicals.

These give it some properties that stand out like: preventing cellular oxidation, managing and controlling diabetes better, and bad cholesterol.

Now that you know, add olive oil to your diet and you'll take care of your health.

However, just like with remedies we've shown you before, it will have a better effect if you use it consistently.
