>> A GOOD THURSDAY TO YOU, I'M
METEOROLOGIST SINNED SIN, IT
HASN'T BEEN FEELING MUCH LIKE
JANUARY THE PASTOR COUPLE OF
WEEKS, THIS DESIRE MONTH, WE ARE
RUNNING ABOUT SIX DEGREES ABOVE
THE AVERAGE AND TODAY WILL BE
THE 12th DAY IN A ROW WITH
ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES.
TYPICALLY THIS TIME OF YEAR, MID
30s, ARE THE AVERAGE HIGHS,
AND WE ARE GOING TO MAKE A RUN
TO THE LOWER 50s TODAY.
AND THEN THE TEMPERATURES DO
TREND DOWNWARD, WE'LL BE CLOSER
TO AVERAGE BY THE SECOND HALF OF
THE WEEKEND.
WHAT'S HAPPENING IS THE JET
STREAM WILL START TO TAKE A DIP
SOUTH, AND THAT IS GOING TO
ALLOW SOME COLDER AIR THAT
COOLED UP AGAIN ACROSS EASTERN
CANADA, TO START TO WORK IN BUT
IT COMES IN GRADUALLY AND WILL
GET COLDER DAY BY DAY AS WE WORK
THROUGH THE WEEKEND,
TEMPERATURES TODAY DESPITE A LOT
OF CLOUDS AND SHOWERS MAKING THE
RUN UP CLOSE TO 50, THANKS TO A
SOUTHWESTERLY WIND AND THAT IS
GOING TO KEEP US IN THE 40s TO
NEAR 50.
BUT LOOK AT MARSHFIELD, BOSTON,
LAWRENCE, 50 DEGREES, COOLER MID
TO UPPER 40s, AND BACK THROUGH
THE WORCESTER HILLS AND INTO THE
MERRIMACK VALLEY, THIS MILD AIR
IS STREAMING UP OUT AHEAD OF A
COLD FRONT WHICH IS GOING TO
FOCUS SHOWERS, ESPECIALLY THIS
AFTERNOON, BUT THERE HAVE BEEN A
FEW THIS MORNING, AND DOWN ALONG
THE SOUTH COAST AND THE CAPE,
MORE DEVELOPING OUT WEST OF
BOSTON THROUGH LUNCHTIME BUT
ONCE WE GET BEYOND THAT, NOTICE
HOW A BAND OF SHOWERS WORKS
THROUGH.
THESE ARE GUSTY SHOWERS THAT
WILL BE COMING IN RIGHT AROUND
THAT EVENING COMMUTE.
THAT'S WHERE THE FRONTAL
BOUNDARY IS, AND ONCE THIS FRONT
CROSSES THE AREA, THE WINDS ARE
GOING TO SHIFT TO THE WEST
BEHIND IT AND WE'LL BEGIN TO DRY
THINGS OUT SO PASSING SHOWERS
LATE AFTERNOON AND INTO THIS
EVENING AND COULD SWITCH TO SNOW
SHOWERS OUT TOWARDS THE
BERKSHIRES BUT THOSE WILL FALL
APART AND DRY UP.
LOOK WHAT HAPPENS TO THE
TEMPERATURES TONIGHT, AS THE
WIND TURNS TO THE WEST, 20s TO
THE LOW 30s FOR OVERNIGHT LOW
TEMPERATURES, AND THAT WIND WILL
BE QUITE STRONG, YOU WILL NOTICE
IT BUT THERE IS A WIND ADVISORY
DOWN ON NANTUCKET FOR THE
POTENTIAL TO SEE WIND GUSTS
CLOSE TO 50 MILES PER HOUR.
WIND IS BRINGING IN THE COLD
HERE, STARTING TOMORROW, SO
DESPITE A RETURN TO SUNSHINE FOR
YOUR FRIDAY, IT IS GOING TO BE A
COOLER DAY FROM 50 TODAY, WE'RE
ONLY IN THE LOW 40s TOMORROW
BUT THAT IS DECEPTIVE.
LOOK AT THE WIND CHILLS OUT THE
DOOR TOMORROW MORNING.
GOING TO FEEL LIKE IT'S IN THE
20s, THE WIND IS GUSTING TO 20
TO 30 MILES PER HOUR ALL DAY
LONG SO WIND CHILLS GETTING NO
HIGHER THAN THE 20s AND 30s
THROUGHOUT THE DAY, AND WE'LL
KEEP IT ON THE COOLER SIDE OF
THINGS ON SATURDAY.
IT'S A MIXTURE OF SUN AND
CLOUDS, WE'RE GOING TO WATCH A
SERIES OF FRONTS, AND ONE
DEVELOPING TO THE SOUTH HERE ON
SUNDAY, IS GOING TO ALLOW THE
AREA OF LOW PRESSURE TO DEVELOP
ALONG IT.
THERE WILL BE MOISTURE
ASSOCIATED IN THE FORM OF SNOW.
IT'S OFFSHORE AND NOT REALLY
BOTHERING US.
SO IT DOES LOOK LIKE A DRY
PATTERN FOR US RIGHT THROUGH
EARLY NEXT WEEK.
IT GETS COLDER AND COLDER, HIGHS
BY MONDAY ONLY IN THE LOWER
30s AND IT LOOKS LOOKS LIKE THE NEXT
