Volkswagen Autoeuropa: 3D printed tools, jigs, and fixtures - Ultimaker: 3D Printing Story - Duration: 3:45.

We started this project in 2014

The issue was to produce gauges, fixtures, and jigs for the assembly line

Since 2014, we have savings of €150,000

My name is Luis Pascoa

I'm responsible for the Pilot Plant in Volkswagen Autoeuropa, Portugal

This department is responsible for engineering changes in the cars as well as launching new models

We're producing 100,000 cars a year and we have 4000 employees

If you compare the conventional situation when we need a new tool, jig, or gauge with 3D printers

we save around 90% of the costs and 90% of the delivery time of the project

We started off with 1 printer. Currently, we have 7 printers

Our prospect is to save €250,000 every year

Regarding the Return On Investment (ROI)

In 2 months, we paid back the ROI

It's a low-cost solution with very fast Return On Investment

Last year, we produced 1,000 different parts

The benefits are improved ergonomics, productivity, and operator satisfaction

In the end, we get very good feedback from the operators working on the line

My name is Miguel, and I work in Process Assembly in Volkswagen Autoeuropa

The trigger for us to start with 3D printing was this type of gauges

We were not able to produce them internally, so we had to go to external suppliers

This was a significant weight on our budget

Now, our gauges are much simpler

and have adjustment capacities that were not present on the model we got from external suppliers

When you're using one of these gauges and one element is damaged

Priorly, we had to scrap the entire part

Currently, we replace only the damaged parts

In terms of cost efficiency

this is a huge benefit for our department

From idea to prototype

now takes 1 to 1.5 hours for a simple project

Priorly, with external suppliers, this took us 2 to 3 weeks

Having an open filament system is very beneficial for our team that develops different solutions

and different applications for the automotive industry

We need this flexibility in our equipment, and this is provided by Ultimaker

also in the tests that we are performing with Filkemp material

Reliability is a key factor in 3D printing

Ultimaker is a reliable machine that we've been using until now

We're using a product that is low-cost and with high-standard and quality results

If you consider the entire automotive industry, the potential is huge

Jeep Wrangler Hella 14" LED Light Bar 350 (1987-2017 YJ, TJ, JK) Review - Duration: 3:49.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review of the Hella 14-inch LED Light

Bar with a narrow beam pattern fitting all 1987 and up Wranglers.

Today we're gonna talk through the installation of this light bar as well as the beam pattern,

the brightness and some of the other features.

Hella is known for making a really high-quality light, so if that's what you're after, this

is going to be a really nice option.

Now, a 14-inch light bar is a little bit unique because it doesn't have a standard mounting

location.

It's not like a 15-inch light bar where there are a lot of bolt-on brackets to put it up

above your windshield or like a single post cube that are designed to go on your bumper.

You are gonna have to get a little bit more creative with the mounting of this light.

But if you're looking for additional light output either on the front of your Jeep or

on the rear of your Jeep as a reverse light, this light bar could be the one that you're

looking for.

Now, because Hella does make a high-quality product, this is going to be a little bit

more expensive than some of the other light bars on the market that are of a similar size.

However, the light output and the build quality of this light certainly rationalize the higher

cost.

To get this light bar installed is a one out of three wrenches.

However, there is going to be drilling required.

As I mentioned, there aren't a lot of bolt-on brackets for a 14-inch light bar like this

one, so chances are you're going to have to drill a couple of holes or make your own bolt-on

bracket.

However, if all you want to do is mount this on your bumper and you're willing to drill

a couple of holes, this becomes a very simple install.

Use the included L-brackets and the included hardware to get this bolted wherever you decide

to mount it, and then it's a simple matter of wiring it up.

Now, one of the big benefits to LED is the high light output from a relatively low draw.

So there is a chance that you could wire this directly into an existing light circuit that

you have on your Jeep without any problem.

Or if you don't already have lights or if you want this switched independently, you

can always run a relay switch and fuse wiring harness which are available on the website

prebuilt if you don't want to build your own.

The whole installation process for this light is fairly simple as I mentioned before and

shouldn't take you more than about an hour.

But it certainly can take you more depending on how clean you want to run your wiring and

how much work you have to do there.

As far as tools go, you'll just need your traditional hand tools, some wiring tools

and if you're gonna have to drill a couple of holes for where you want to mount this

light, you will, of course, need a drill and some sharp drill bits.

Like I said in the beginning of this video, Hella is known for making a high-quality product

and this is a good example of that.

Along with that high-quality product comes a higher price tag.

Now, Hella does have their value fit line which is made in China, and they're gonna

be a little bit of a lower quality light but also a less expensive light so that is certainly

an option if you want Hella but you don't have the budget for this light.

However, this is a made in New Zealand, high-quality, top of the line Hella product, so it does

command a higher price.

In my opinion, it is worth that price because of the flexibility you have for a smaller

light bar this size, the fact that it has two different beam patterns and the fact that

it's made of a plastic material instead of metal means that this thing is going to last

a very long time.

So if you're looking for an auxiliary lighting solution for the front or the rear of your

Jeep and you want a really high-quality light that's going to last forever, I would definitely

recommend taking a look at this light from Hella.

If you don't quite have the budget for this light and you're okay with something that's

a little bit lower quality or doesn't have quite the same light output as this one, there

are a lot of other options on the website that are gonna be a little less expensive.

Samsung Fast Charge Wireless Charging Pad & Stand | Galaxy S8/S8+ - Mytrendyphone - Duration: 3:43.

What's up everyone! It's Becca from MTP,

and welcome back to our channel.

What we have here today is

the newest wireless fast charge pad by Samsung.

So let's begin.

In the package you will get:

a wireless charger pad,

a manual and a USB type-C to micro USB converter

so you can use your old micro USB cables

if you own an S7 Edge for example.

This gadget has a very soft leather like feel and look to it

with a little "fast charge" print in the middle.

This year's version of this product has a nice feature to it:

It can slide up for a stand if you want to use it that way,

or you can simply use it as a charging pad.

Small LED indicator on the front bottom

is there to show your charging status .

Please note that in order to get the benefit of fast charging

you will need Samsung's fast charge power brick.

Also, this pad will charge non-Samsung devices

but again, the fast charge only applies for Samsung phones like:

S6 edge, Note 5, S7 series and of course S8 series.

With that being said, the charger itself is very responsive.

And most of the time it will work when there is a case on your phone.

Just make sure to place your phone

directly in the middle of the pad,

vertically or horizontally and you're good to go.

Now, comparing to the last year's version,

apart from the design and folding option

this year's pad has 15W output

opposed to 5W output on the other one.

So the latest model is, as expected,

an improved combination of two previous models.

Previous generations have a micro USB port,

and the new one has USB type-C port

and you can place your phone standing in

landscape or portrait mode.

And other than all that, according to specifics,

this charging pad should be faster than the last year's,

so we've decided to put that to the test

and see what we will get.

We placed Samsung's phone on both chargers

and wanted to see how long it will take them to charge

25% of the battery.

The new Samsung wireless charging pad

can do it in about 40 minutes.

Which means that it should charge your Galaxy S8+

0-100% in about 3.5 hours.

Samsung wireless charging stand from previous year

does the same 25% charge in about 60 minutes.

So the difference is quite obvious.
