How To Make A Summer Boutonniere | Southern Living - Duration: 1:51.

Hi, I'm Buffy Hargett,

and today we're gonna learn the simple steps

to making your own boutonnieres.

We are going to choose the heartiest

of all flowers, a rosebud.

I'm gonna take two tiny buds and put them together.

Make sure their stems are the same length,

and I'm gonna add some little berries.

I always like to do that for a little texture.

This is called astilbe.

It just adds a little ruffly texture.

A lot of people are loving to use

this dusty miller right now.

I'm gonna show you a little trick on using this.

We're gonna use these leaves that you get

at the florist that has a wire on it.

It's a fake leaf, and we're gonna stick your leaf

right on top of this green leaf,

and it will keep it standing up through the entire ceremony.

Then you would attach all of your little gathered bouquet

to the leaf, cut all your stems the same.

This is called paper tape or stretchy tape.

Stretch it out, tear it off,

and then you wrap around it your boutonniere stems.

What I recommend also is to put a little bit

of hot glue on the bottom of your stems.

That seals in the moisture.

Now, some people like to just leave the green stems,

or you can add something like this pretty gray cording.

Simply put a little dot of hot glue and then start wrapping.

Again, just twisting the stem.

Make sure it stays close together so you don't see any gaps,

and we're gonna put another little dot of glue

and let it cool for just a second, then we'll cut it.

We're gonna add our corsage pins.

So now you have the skills to make your own boutonniere

for prom, for weddings, for any special occasion.

We Keep Winning: North Korea Breaks, Says They Are Willing to Talk - Duration: 3:00.

President Donald Trump just keeps on winning, and he just won a major victory in one of

the world's most dangerous areas.

According to Australia's News.com, a top North Korean diplomat indicated during a television

interview in India that Pyongyang would be willing to talk with the Trump administration

about suspending their nuclear program and missile tests if their conditions are met.

While Kye Chun Yong, the regime's ambassador to India, didn't enumerate the exact conditions,

his comments strongly suggested that they involved the suspension of joint military

exercises off of the Korean Peninsula.

"Under certain circumstances, we are willing to talk in terms of the freezing of nuclear

testing and missile testing," Kye said during the interview with India's WION.

"For instance, if the American side completely stopped big, large-scale military exercises

temporarily or permanently, then we will also temporarily stop," he continued, seeming

to refer to carrier deployment.

"Let's talk about how to solve the Korean issue peacefully."

Kye's comments came after several tweets and statements made by the president in the

wake of the death of Otto Warmbier.

"The U.S. once again condemns the brutality of the North Korean regime as we mourn its

latest victim," the president said in one tweet.

Another tweet, however, definitely should have caught the eye of North Korean leadership:

"While I greatly appreciate the efforts of (Chinese) President Xi (Jinping) & China

to help with North Korea, it has not worked out," the president wrote.

"At least I know China tried!"

It sounded harmless enough until you consider the ominous subtext from Trump's earlier

remarks.

According to Reuters, before his first summit with the Chinese president back in April,

the president warned that if the Chinese couldn't handle the problem, the United States would

— on its own.

"China has great influence over North Korea.

And China will either decide to help us with North Korea, or they won't.

And if they do that will be very good for China, and if they don't it won't be good

for anyone," Trump said.

When pressed, he added, "Well, if China is not going to solve North Korea, we will.

That is all I am telling you."

The tweet seemed to signal that Trump was no longer looking toward China, implying that

the United States may go it alone.

From what Mr. Kye said on Indian TV, the North Koreans didn't like the sound of that.

It's good to see that the North Korean regime is seeming to bend to President Trump's

will.

We'll still see what happens — South Korea's Yonhap reported in the wake of the interview

that South Korea has no plans to scrap the joint exercises — but it looks like this

could be another win for the Trump administration.
