Johnny Depp Apologizes For Joking About Assassinating President Trump - Duration: 1:42.

Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

Johnny Depp has been teetering on the PR ledge since his public divorce last year with Amber

Heard that arose accusations of domestic abuse.

He sort of made a comeback with his latest Pirates of the Caribbean release but now he's

in hot water again after making a bizarre and inappropriate joke about assassinating

President Trump.

While addressing a crowd in England earlier this week, he was presenting his 2004 film

The Libertine at a drive-in movie theater in Glastonbury when the topic switched to

the U.S. president.

Depp expressed his disapproval but took it too far by saying,

After the crowd cheered he backpedalled saying,

"I want to clarify, I am not an actor.

I lie for a living.

However, it has been a while and maybe it is time."

Of course fans of Depp shared on twitter that they were disappointed by his poor choice

of words while bantering with the audience many referring to his movie career and wanting

to boycott any future projects.

Clearly realizing that his joke had gone wrong, Depp made a statement to People magazine on

Friday apologizing and claiming there was no malice behind it.

He said,

"I apologize for the bad joke I attempted last night in poor taste about President Trump.

It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice.

I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone."

The secret service acknowledged that they were aware of what Johnny Depp said but they

declined further comment.

Continental Knitting - Learn How to Knit the Knit Stitch, Purl Stitch and Knitted 1x1 Ribbing - Duration: 6:56.

Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from naztazia.com Today i'm going to show you... how to learn

how to knit and purl using the Continental style of knitting.

Continental knitting is a bit different than English style. With Continental, the

yarn is held in the left hand, making it somewhat easier to knit for crocheters and

left-handers. I like to start new knitters on the English style then have

them try the Continental style to see which one they like better. To do this,

I'm using a bulky weight yarn and size 13 needles. By the way be sure to click

on the subscribe button to get notified of new videos from me each week. Just a

reminder this is not a beginner knitting video. If you need help with knitting, be

sure to watch my basic video on YouTube. Cast on 12 stitches with your left hand.

Grab the yarn with your pinky finger, then wrap the yarn around it like this.

Move the tail-end out of the way and place the yarn around your pointer

finger just like in crochet. I'll show this again. Wrap the yarn around your

pinky finger, lay the yarn over the next two fingers, then wrap the yarn around

your pointer finger. Hold the needle with your thumb and middle finger. Now I'll

show how to do the knit stitch using the continental style. Keep that pointer

finger up in the air with the yarn. And that middle finger is going to do a lot

of work here. It's going to guide the yarn.

Insert your right hand needle like this. Here's your middle finger to guide that

yarn. And scoop it with your needle.

And pull it through.

Insert your needle.

Scoop that yarn.

And pull it through.

Some people like to refer the process of scooping the yarn as picking the yarn.

Guide that yarn with your middle finger. Scoop it, then pop it off. Once you get a

good rhythm the yarn pretty much slides off the needle and you can go very

quickly.

Pinterest and Twitter. Now I'll show you how to purl using the continental style.

Wrap the yarn the same way around your left hand, but this time keep the yarn in

front of the needle and use your pointer finger to keep the yarn downwards. Insert

your needle, bring your finger up, wrap the yarn, then bring the finger down. Then

scoop that yarn with the needle and push it off keeping the yarn down again.

Insert your needle, wrap the yarn around, and scoop off the loop.

Insert needle, wrap around, scoop it off.

As before sometimes they refer to it as picking the yarn off - just like the knit

stitch. Once you get into a good rhythm it's very easy to do the purl stitch

using the continental style.

What I like about continental knitting is how much easier it is for me to

create a knit and purl ribbing with this style. I'll knit the first stitch. For

purl, just bring that yarn forward and do your purl stitch. As I take off the

stitch, I position the yarn in the back for the next knit stitch. Now I bring the

yarn forward and down for the purl stitch. Back to the back for the knit

stitch again.

It's a lot easier, at least for me, to knit ribbing using the continental style

than it is using the English style of knitting. So if you have a chance give
