And I am a fighter, and I sat with somebody telling me

who I was, and who I was not.

So if I just want to be quiet, let me be quiet.

Because I have basically found my way out of something,

and right now, my best way to deal with it

is for me to just stop.

I don't want to always pour my heart out to people.

We're wearing different colors but we're all here with you.

BREAKING: Trump's POWERFUL Message DEFIES Islam - Duration: 2:44.

Ramadan, the traditional Islamic month-long holy celebration is coming to a close today.

Trump is sending a powerful message by ending an almost two-decades-long tradition.

Up until this point, past presidents have sat down at sunset on the last day of the

Holy Month for Muslims and enjoyed their traditional feast, which occurs once their fast comes

to an end.

Trump sent a powerful message by letting everyone know that he is NOT going to be celebrating,

per SF Gate.

Clinton, Bush, and Obama all celebrated the closing of the holiday by having the traditional

feast.

Trump declined, and we see EXACTLY why.

There are much bigger issues at hand here.

When the White House was asked for comment, no response was given at first.

Then, President Trump released a statement.

Trump's statement reads, "Muslims in the United States joined those around the world

during the holy month of Ramadan to focus on acts of faith and charity."

It continues, "During the holiday, we are reminded of the importance of mercy, compassion,

and goodwill.

With Muslims around the world, the United States renews our commitment to honor these

values.

Eid Mubarak."

Essentially, Trump decided to honor the Muslims who ARE decent people with a brief statement.

When Obama celebrated the holy month, he came out and gave a LONG speech, and it was drawn

out — he sympathized with ALL Muslims.

Trump wanted to make a point, and he did it well.

He wants the Muslims who are NOT extremists to know that he appreciates the fact that

they are honoring decent human values.

On the same note, he cannot celebrate this holiday, because of the violence that has

taken place from the extremist end of the spectrum.

Many people lost their lives due to radical Muslims around the world.

It's worth noting that there ARE good Muslims, but we cannot sit back and act like there

is not a strong population of Muslims who would murder us, given the chance.

Trump decided to touch on both points by acknowledging the holiday, but NOT going all out, because

it goes against everything he has been fighting for up until this point.

You can respect people who do good things.

However, you can not respect EVERYONE from the Muslim religion.

A strong subsection hates our guts, and Trump was bold in deciding not to have the dinner

tonight.

We stand by our president's decision, and see exactly where he is coming from.
