War Thunder: The Shooting Range | Episode 48 - Duration: 11:13.

The Shooting Range

In this episode… The Ki-10 and the "fair share" principle

or how the last biplane fighter used by the Imperial Japanese Army came into being;

How to use the plane built for antiship duties in Random battles:

we get on the right side of the highly unusual P.108A;

Hotline: the developers answer questions that you've left in the comments! But first, let's start with…

Another piece of useful and completely legit advice from the seasoned veterans of War Thunder!

What makes a good attack aircraft?

A bulky frame, high-caliber guns, a respectable bomb load and an impressive range or rockets.

But consider this:

why do you need to inconvenience yourself with bombs or rockets when you can outshoot any fighter?

Exactly. So just shoot your rockets away and drop your bombs right at the start of the match.

We don't need them. And now — let the real hunt begin!

Get in there and fire at everything that gets in your sights.

Do not waste your energy looking out for AA gunfire or watching your back:

you're an attack aircraft after all, not a defence aircraft. That makes perfect sense.

Unfortunately, not every ground vehicle has a sturdy frame.

If you don't feel confident in yourself, try to engage your opponents from the maximum distance.

Think about it: what's the point of going into the thick of battle if you end up as a heap of burning metal?

No, we'll be smarter. Let the daredevils and madmen contest the points.

We'll find our own way to the enemy — along the edge of the map (maximum distance, remember?).

Sometimes you'll even catch a glimpse of an opponent! What a good fight.

And not a scratch on our beautiful armour! Marvellous.

It is clear that every tank was built with a specific purpose in mind. Light tanks spot enemies,

heavies are the team's shield,

medium tanks deal damage and mount flanking maneuvers — you know, this kind of thing.

Well, floating tanks are built to operate in water. It's right in the name.

So if you see any allied floating vehicle on land,

help your misguided teammate and push it back into the closest body of water.

They will be extremely grateful that you did so, 100%.

(protip: do not take this advice too seriously)

…in recent episodes we've talked a lot about Italian planes, so now you know for

a fact that there were a lot of amazing Italian machines. But this one might still surprise you!

What's this? It looks almost like a B-17 type bomber — but there are no bombs.

What you get instead is a fearsome 102 mm cannon. What?

We'll be blunt: this "beast" is hard to tame.

The aircraft is a bit sluggish and it doesn't have the best defensive armament

but if you want to score some points,

you'll have to press forward and at a rather low altitude to boot.

At the same time the P.108A is hardly indestructible

you can be brought down by machine gun fire.

And if a shell hits your ammo rack...well, at least you'll see a pretty visual effect.

Still here? You made the right choice. It is a unique aircraft that offers gameplay to match.

And we can only dream of what you could do with it in Mixed Battles! Imagine the opportunities.

Sadly, right now the Italians can't take part in Mixed Battles as they have no ground vehicles

and you'll have to wait before Naval Battles move into open beta

to realise the full potential of this heavy attacker and engage enemy ships.

Does this mean that there is no place for the P.108A on the battlefield?

Hell no. Even now you can wreak some havoc and bring glory to your name

by hunting down available ground targets. Focus on long-range targets like tanks or pillboxes.

With a cannon like this, a single, well placed hit is often enough

to deal with even the most well-protected enemy. Who needs bombs anyway?

To have a good visual on the target, use the cockpit view

the real one or the virtual one (just press F4 to switch the camera).

And the last thing: don't be too stingy with your ammo. You get fifty shots after all

not so bad for an aircraft that can one shot most enemies in the hands of a dead-eye pilot.

next up is the story of one of the best planes of its class — that almost didn't come to be..

When it came to aviation, Kawasaki was somewhat of an underdog.

(like Nakajima or Mitsubishi) could afford to spend big bucks on R&D for a prototype,

then lose the fight for the contract — and shrug it off. Kawasaki had no money to spare.

In order to stand out in the crowd they went a very special way

they decided to be as progressive and different as possible.

This approach had some massive drawbacks though. First, at one point the engineers at Kawasaki,

who constantly drew from the experience of their counterparts overseas (especially German ones),

went with the modern liquid-cooled inline engines.

This automatically meant that the Navy wouldn't order anything Kawasaki

and that the Army would be wary of their aircraft as well:

the Army brass preferred the designs with radial engines too. And who could blame them?

Radial engines were simpler and more reliable.

Second, progressive aircraft were expensive and it took considerably more effort to design them.

Take a look at what happened in the early thirties, for example.

The Army ordered major aircraft companies to build a new fighter.

The Kawasaki's entry was the parasol-wing KDA-3

which was equipped with the bleeding edge inline engine based on the German BMW VI

but the Army chose the comparable Nakajima Type 91 fighter with a conventional radial engine.

Richard Vogt, who was the chief designer at Kawasaki at the time,

decided to prove the superiority of inline engines to the Japanese military at any cost

and as early as 1934 showed them a new monoplane fighter that was designated the Ki-5.

This airсraft was not simply up to the world standarts — in some ways it was well ahead of its time!

Yet the plane was another failure. It found little interest among the military — and no wonder:

the pilots as well as technical staff were simply not ready to handle it.

This was the tipping point for Vogt, who promptly left Kawasaki and returned to Germany.

If all of this happened in Europe or the United States,

successive failures of this kind would mean the end of the company. But it was Japan.

When other major aircraft manufacturers saw that Kawasaki was in trouble... they stepped back.

That was the rule of "fair share" in work.

The idea is pretty simple. In Japan there is certain recognition of the principle of equitable treatment.

You win this time — but might be a loser next time, right?

Because of that the victor rarely seeks to completely destroy or overwhelm his or her rivals

even in a very competitive market.

That's why when in 1934 the Army issued a specification for a new biplane fighter,

the Nakajima corporation made a conscious effort to derail their own project:

they submitted a design that didn't meet a number of requirements.

And Mitsubishi simply refused to submit an entry, saying that they were too busy with other work.

In the end the only viable design was the Kawasaki Ki-10

a machine created by a young aircraft maker called Takeo Doi,

who had to step in and take the place at the helm after Kawasaki had lost Vogt.

To be fair, that was a great plane on its own merit. The design included only two dated elements:

the fixed landing gear (which was one of the official requirements) and the biplane configuration itself.

A lot of other design choices made the aircraft a thing of the future.

A metal three-bladed, controllable-pitch propeller, an all-metal construction,

a carefully designed aerodynamic frame and a powerful liquid-cooled inline engine

all these things allowed the fighter to reach a maximum speed of 400 km/h.

And it was very maneuverable as well! Truly one of the best machines in its class.

Of course the military knew perfectly well what was going on with Nakajima and Mitsubishi

and quickly ordered a big number of Kawasaki fighters. At the same time they pursued their own interests:

with the Ki-10 they basically got a perfect transitional plane

that allowed pilots to get used to great speeds while flying a biplane.

And technicians

could use this opportunity to try their hand at maintaining modern liquid-cooled inline engines

which would soon be everywhere

In 1935, when in Europe

only a few bright minds were dreaming of monoplane fighters powered by motors of this type,

Japan was already getting ready for the wars of tomorrow

thanks to the Ki-10 and the Japanese concept of "fair share".

...now it's time for the traditional last part of our show: Hotline!

Developers answering questions from the comments!

Strictly speaking it's not the most serious-minded section of the show.

If you want answers to be given with solemn faces, feel free to appeal to the Official War Thunder Forums.

Here we'll have a more… lighthearted discussion of the big questions of War Thunder.

The first question comes from a user called CJ Squidzen:

"When tanks or planes shoot their ammo, does that make them lighter and faster?

Or when they take less ammo? Will you ever add the feature?"

Actually there is such a feature already.

The weight of ammunition does affect the performance of the plane in War Thunder, but...

on a very little scale.

Then there's a message from a player called Oguzhan Aydin:

"Hey Gaijin, heard nothing about Naval Forces recently. How is that going?"

Working on it, mate! As you know, we have pretty big plans for it — with destroyers and whatnot.

Please bear with us — we try to make the mode as good & fun as we can!

Hunting Fox asks: "Can you do an office tour?"

Might be interesting to do! We're not sure if we have time for it though.

BUT we are currently considering organizing streams to show you guys how we make vehicle models.

The last message comes from a user called The_Pepino999:

"Gaijin: "Hey, we just added the Italian Tech Tree!" Community: "WHERE ARE THE FRENCH?!""

Yeah, that's EXACTLY what happens. Every time! *Sigh*

That's it for today but feel free to write your questions in the comments below.

We do read them all, and you might see some of them answered in the next episode!

If you like what we're doing, don't forget to subscribe to our channel! See you on the Shooting Range!

One day,

I wrote a long, long letter to the moon

It would not be brighter than you

But I lighted a small candle

At a dusky park

A nameless bird that sings

Where are you.. oh.. oh ..oh..

Oh you

Why are you crying

You and I are the only ones here

Me and you.. oh.. oh.. oh..

Oh you

Following into the deep night

The sound of you singing

Brings the red morning

A step, and another step

The dawn passes

And when that moon falls asleep

The blue shade that stayed with me disappears

Even today, I live moderately

I walk in pace, moderately wearing down

The sun suffocates me

And the world strips me naked

I can't help it, there's no other way

I collect myself that's shattered beneath the moonlight

I call you moonchild

We are the children of the moon

I breathe the cold night air

Yes we're living and dying at the same time

But you can open your eyes for now

Just like that any movie, like the line of it

The entire world is blue inside the moonlight

At a dusky park A nameless bird that sings

Where are you .. oh.. oh.. oh..

Oh you

Why are you crying

Top 10 WORST Aspects of the AMERICAN JUSTICE System - Duration: 11:12.

Top 10 Worst Aspects of the American Justice System

10.

Three Strikes Laws

Three Strikes laws became popular in the mid-90s, heralded as a way to be tough on crime.

The idea was to remove repeat offenders of serious crimes from society.

Three strikes laws mandate minimum punishments of usually 25 years for a third "serious"

offence.

The first example of a 3-strikes law actually came from Texas in the 1980's, but they

were introduced at their strongest and most infamous in California in 1994.

There are similar laws in 26 states.

Many examples of convictions under the law have caused them to be considered disproportionate,

if not outright cruel.

Stories include people given 25 to life for stealing a pair of socks, or some baby shoes.

Two life sentences involve the theft of pizza — one of a single slice — though this

was overturned after five years due to public outrage.

A law team from Stanford began challenging many of these rulings one by one, often using

what they term the "You've gotta be kidding me" defense.

There are stories of judges and prosecutors writing to those convicted, apologizing about

the excessive nature of sentences.

Campaigners were able to have the law amended in California at the end of 2012, allowing

prisoners with minor, non-violent convictions to appeal their sentences.

Whilst many have been freed since these rule changes, there are still fights to release

others that have served lengthy sentences for minor crimes.

9.

Over-Incarceration

You might have heard that the US has just 5% of the world's population, but 25% of

its prison population.

The prison population increased by 700% between 1970 and 2005, compared to a 44% increase

in the population as a whole.

Recently, California's prison system was operating at almost 150% capacity, with prisoners

placed in increasingly small holds.

Prison overcrowding has been linked to problems with psychological health and increased prisoner

violence.

It also causes obvious issues for the staff.

This problem doesn't look to go anywhere anytime soon, either; federal prisons ran

at 139% capacity towards the end of 2011, and this is set to increase to 145% by 2018,

according to a report by the Bureau of Prisons.

8.

High Recidivism

Recidivism, or reoffending, is a big issue in the United States.

A study in 2006 by the bipartisan Commission on Safety and Abuse in America's Prisons

found that 52% of former prisoners were re-convicted.

Prison is popularly seen as a means of punishment and isolation from the rest of society.

Unfortunately when people get out of prison, they're back in the same position that led

them to commit a crime, but with even less chance of getting a job and resuming their

life.

After all, who wants to hire a felon?

In recent years, programs focused on greater rehabilitation have proven a success in several

states.

Internationally, the lowest recidivism rate can be found in Norway.

There, the justice system is much more focused on preparing people to re-enter society as

useful and productive individuals, rather than punishing them for their misdeeds.

Whilst many might be uncomfortable with being "soft" on criminals, Norway's murder

rate is an eighth of that in the US.

The choice to be made is between an extremely thorough punishment, or improvement to society

as a whole – both don't work together.

7.

Lack of Compassionate Release in Federal Prisons

Prison is not set up to care for people with serious or terminal illness.

Keeping people locked up after a stroke, or in the late stages of cancer, can cause suffering

that may be considered inhumane or excessive.

That is the reason for compassionate release, and it is very much in the spirit of the Eighth

Amendment, which forbids cruel and unusual punishment.

Yet the compassionate release system in the US, particularly in federal prisons, is shockingly

poor.

An April 2013 review by the Department of Justice found the Bureau of Prisons' compassionate

release program was poorly managed and inconsistent.

They also concluded that a better system would save money, due to the high cost of caring

for seriously ill inmates.

Grounds for release can vary from prison to prison – some will release a prisoner with

6 months to live, while some grant freedom to someone with a year left.

Worse, prisoners cannot challenge the BOP's decisions in courts, and compassionate release

is rarely granted.

Many die while waiting for a decision to be made.

6.

Placing Children in Solitary Confinement

Solitary confinement is known to present the risk of mental illness, including depression,

anxiety, and even psychosis.

This risk is particularly pronounced in children.

The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry has called for a ban on solitary

confinement of children in correctional facilities.

They also call for any child that's been confined alone for 24 hours or more to be

evaluated by a mental health practitioner.

Human Rights Watch reports that children as young as 13 have been confined for over 22

hours per day.

In their report, they quote a youth from Florida subjected to the treatment: "The only thing

left to do is go crazy – just sit and talk to the walls."

This problem is particularly bad for the 90,000 youngsters held in adult prisons that are

often kept apart for their own protection.

Ironically, the majority of youth suicides in prisons take place amongst those kept in

solitary confinement.

5.

Prison Healthcare

Prisoners have significantly more risk of health problems than the general population.

Infectious disease can spread in the confined environment of a jail.

Addiction and mental illness are also obvious risks.

Other, more surprising, statistics show that prisoners are 55% more prone to diabetes and

90% more likely to have had a heart attack than those on the outside.

The right to healthcare in prison is protected by the Eighth Amendment, and it's big business.

Illinois recently signed a $1.4 billion contract with Wexford Health Sources to provide healthcare

for ten years, despite never auditing them.

Providing adequate healthcare to prisoners is not just important for them, but for the

wider community.

Proper care in prison reduces the burden on society when prisoners are released, and reduces

the risk of disease being spread on the outside.

Despite this, the number of prisoners with health complaints that don't have access

to medical care is high.

One study found that 14% of federal prisoners and a fifth of state prisoners hadn't seen

a health-care provider in spite of persistent issues.

Thousands of prisoners die in custody each year.

Many of the deaths are preventable, caused by undiagnosed or untreated problems.

4.

Sentencing Children to Life in Prison

The United States is the only country in the world that sentences children to life in prison

without parole, sometimes as young as 11 years old.

Often these sentences are automatic, and the circumstances of the child aren't taken

into account.

Until 2005, it was even considered constitutional to execute young criminals, and 365 people

under the age of 18 have been executed in US history.

Today, almost 3000 people are serving life sentences for

crimes committed as youths, effectively fated to die in prison.

Many groups have called for an end to these sentences, pointing out that children aren't

emotionally and physically mature enough to be held culpable in the same way as an adult.

Amnesty International describes the policy as a violation of international law and standards

of justice recognized around the world.

3.

Prison Rape

Prison rape is almost a cliché, and normalized in popular culture, but the statistics paint

a pretty horrifying picture.

Whether in prison or not, rape is rape and is about as horrific a crime as can be committed,

short of murder.

Estimates of the number of prisoners that have been sexually victimized by fellow inmates

or staff put figures at as high as one in ten.

In sheer numbers, that's over 200,000 people that have been the victims of sexual assault

in prison.

Men and women are both at risk of assault.

Bisexual and gay inmates, male and female, are at highest risk of being raped.

In thousands of cases, the perpetrator is a member of prison staff.

In one case in Alabama, a guard that impregnated an inmate received six months for "criminal

sexual misconduct," but wasn't charged with rape.

Lawyers for the woman in question believe the case wasn't investigated properly.

2.

Placing Children on Sex Offender Registers

The Human Rights Watch recently published a report that highlights the problem of children

being placed on sex-offender registers.

The intention of such registers — to protect children from predatory pedophiles — is

good.

Unfortunately, the laws behind these have proved susceptible to misuse and ineffectiveness.

Some of the crimes described in the report for which children were forced to register

include a thirteen-year-old girl, convicted for willingly having sex with her twelve-year-old

boyfriend and becoming pregnant.

The boyfriend was also convicted and registered as a sex offender.

Luckily, this was later overturned by a higher court, which pointed out "the law was not

intended to apply to such cases."

Meanwhile, a fifteen-year-old girl was convicted of distributing child pornography for posting

nude photographs of herself online.

She was tried as an adult and required to register as a sex offender for life, despite

the fact she was the sole child victim of her "crime."

Individual injustices might almost be forgivable where a law serves a greater good, such as

protecting children.

But these laws often serve only to stigmatize and victimize youngsters for making decisions

or performing actions which, in many cases, they are too young to understand.

The HRW notes, "Several studies—including one study of a cohort that included 77 percent

youth convicted of violent sex offenses—have found a recidivism rate for youth sex … are

so low that they do not differ significantly from the sex crime rates found among many

other (and much larger) groups of children, or even the general public".

In general, the picture painted is that of a system that drains police and court resources,

ruins the lives of children and their families indefinitely, fails those it aims to protect,

and serves as a carriage for significant injustices.

1.

The Death Penalty

The United States is one of only 21 countries to use the death penalty.

It is the only country in the Americas to have carried out executions in 2012 (43 in

total.)

There is a growing international trend towards abolition of execution.

For example, only one country in Europe — Belarus — still has the death penalty on its books.

That's because there is no evidence that the death penalty works as a deterrent any

more than any other type of sentence.

Murder rates are lower in states without the death penalty, and have remained consistently

so for over two decades.

One of the biggest arguments against the death penalty is the fact that innocent people are

convicted to die.

Some of them are released, but humans are fallible and there are undoubtedly innocent

people that have died at the hands of the state.

A bill in Florida actually seeks to speed up the execution process, despite the fact

that had it been in place previously, people would now be dead that were released in light

of new evidence.

Groups such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have called on the US to abolish

the death penalty altogether.

If the United States wishes to consider itself a humane and dignified country, then it surely

must.

How to Afford to Travel the World with No Money - Budget Tips - Duration: 5:55.

Transcript

Ever since high school, I always wanted to the world.

But something always held me back – whether it was time, safety, fear, but mostly money.

I'm going to share with you my before and after mindset and tips on making backpacking

affordable.

If you like this video be sure to give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel so

we can get more backpackers and travelers out there and don't forget to subscribe

to also my social media so you can see my backpacking adventures, fitness stuff, science

stuff, you name it I got it.

It will never be the right time.

There is always the plan we are all taught to follow.

There is always the desire to further your education, have a family, fear of leaving

your job behind after X amount of years.

There's going to be better times and worse times to travel.

I was lucky enough to be in a position where I was going to move to Denver and I am super

excited about it.

So, I knew I was going to be looking for a new job and there would be a period where

I was between jobs.

So, it was finally my chance and I was super excited about this.

You will never have enough money.

After graduating from physician assistant school, I had over 100K+ in loans.

During my first year as a working professional, I saved up every penny up and I threw every

single cent I had extra to my student loans.

One day I realized, I'm like, I have nothing with this money I am making.

I'm not enjoying myself, I'm just working, I'm just sleeping, working, sleeping, working.

You know what?

I'm going to start a special fund.

At this point, my special fund was for a house, but backpacking works too!

All the things I did to save money was have a cheaper phone plan, I don't eat out, I

try to avoid eating out, I shop in the clearance section, I shop in bulk, all these things

money saving tips does add up.

Sometimes, it's hard to fight the splurge, but once you go backpacking, I promise you,

it will be worth it.

You may need to hustle though if you want to backpack.

At one point I had 3 jobs at once just to save up some extra pennies.

You may have to work long shifts, you may have to work overtime, you may have to work

weekends and holidays.

It may suck at the time and you may complain but once I was on Mt. Fuji, and I was swimming

in Croatia, and I was eating gyros in Greece, it was all worth it.

And I promise you, and I promise you, It will all work out.

There were a lot of tears, a lot of stress before my backpacking trip.

I was like what if I don't have a job, a place to live, my friends and family forget

about me, and then I came back and was like, maybe I was a little little crazy.

It's scary, it's always scary to do something new.

But, you know, what's living if you don't go out there and do something crazy.

I promise, once you get back, it may take a little bit of adjusting but you will get

back into your routine again and it's all going to be good.

Now that I convinced you to travel, how are we going to afford this?

The most expensive is probably how to get to Europe or Asia or where you want to go.

We had a system.

We used Google Flights, we used Skyscanner, we used Momondo to look for the cheapest flights.

Usually, I suggest booking on a Wednesday, I suggest using connections, and I suggest

checking frequently to get the best deals.

You're going to have to travel hack.

You're going to want to book with budget airlines, such as Norwegian Air, Ryanair,

Easy Jet, they're all good airlines.

They are a little stingy, like you might not get refreshments and water, you might have

smaller leg space, you might not have as much carry-on luggage.

But, if you are saving a couple hundred dollars, it is well, well worth it.

Another way to save is to walk everywhere.

A lot of the places you travel are either very, very walkable or you can use cheap options

such as the metro, they usually have day passes.

There are some days we walked miles and miles.

As long as you have a good pair of Nikes, you are good to go.

Just say NO to taxis.

They are a ripoff, they will take your money, they will leave you stranded, I don't know,

I'm pretty anti-taxi.

Another big money expensive is accommodation.

You're not going to be staying in 5-star hotels, you're likely going to be staying

in hostels.

They can range anywhere from $10-20 USD dollars a night.

They are pretty cool though.

Definitely do your research, I will be making an upcoming video on how to pick out a good

hostel.

It is fun, I met a lot of cool friends backpacking, sometimes they give you breakfast, they usually

give you maps, they usually provide you with things to do.

Sometimes, they even have cool walking tours, they may have a bar there, they may have events

at night, it'll be a good time.

Try it out, try out the hostel, I think you will like it.

Food is also something that can add up.

I love food and I'm a big foodie.

I wish I could eat whatever I wanted and pay for whatever I wanted but we can't do that.

I would suggest cooking a couple of your meals, grocery stores there's always budget ones

that are pretty inexpensive, and maybe eat out, you know, once a day.

You still want to enjoy the experience, but you know, there's always happy hours, lunch

specials in a lot of European countries.

So, if you are smart about it, food isn't going to be too bad.

Unfortunately, we will have to say no to drinking.

A night out at the bar can be super, super expensive, especially in certain countries.

2 drinks can easily turn into 10.

You can easily grab a bottle of wine at the store.

Most hostels also have bars that have good deals for their guests and it's a good time,

you can make new friends.

Lastly, I was so, so amazed by how much was free.

Lots of attractions were either free, or had free hours, or free days, or huge student

discounts.

I think that's 4 things not 5 sorry.

But anyways, bring your student ID, try to do a little bit of research.

Even some things may not be worth the splurge.

You may be better off seeing certain historical sites from the outside if you're not a history

person.

So just do your research, be smart about it.

I hope you liked all of these travel tips.

Stay tuned for more, and more, and more!

What Should You Do the Summer After Graduating High School? - Duration: 4:47.

Hello hello hello my friends! Kaitlyn here! And do you know what to do your first summer post-high school?

Parrrrrr-ty it up baby! Oooo yeah!

Well that's one option.

But maybe not the most productive one…

(INTRO MUSIC)

So you graduated!

Woohoo! Go you!

But now what?!

Maybe you have concrete plans like going to college in the fall or starting a job or doing some trade training.

Or maybe you were just super focused with finally BEING DONE with high school and so you haven't

thought too much past graduation.

Either way, welcome to adult life!

You're going to do just fine.

And I'm going to help you get some boosts right out of the gate!

So when I think about the summer after I graduated, I remember being so exhausted.

All I had really focused on was just getting out of high school and I knew I was going to college in the fall so

I didn't really feel like there was much to do or that I needed to do.

Other than maybe celebrating and laying by the pool.

But looking back, there are several things that I could have done that would have benefited

me in the long run.

First, if you don't have any plans yet for going to college or getting a job, don't fret! Because there's still time!

If you're thinking that maybe you'd like to get some more schooling but you didn't

apply in time or didn't have the grades to get into a bigger university, think about your local community college.

They're really great resources helping you get some of your general ed classes out of the way or

helping you get some of your grades up to snuff to get into a 4 year university, or

just figuring out what kind of subject you'd like to study.

And many times they also provide access to technical and trade training that many 4 year universities don't.

And the best part is they're much easier to enroll in and usually you can enroll right

up until the start of classes.

So don't think, "Oh I missed my chance to go to college!"

Because you didn't.

Second, whether you're going to school in the fall or not, I highly suggest heading on

over to your local library, becoming a member if you aren't already, and then setting

a summer reading challenge for yourself.

Just because you're done with high school doesn't mean that you're done with learning altogether.

And libraries are full of FREE resources. And entertainment. And cool programs.

I am a huge proponent of libraries.

I spent so many summers scouring the stacks of libraries looking for my next interesting read.

And it's a really great place for young people who don't have a lot of money to get free entertainment and learning.

Third, write a resume.

Maybe you're flipping burgers at your local McDonald's this summer to save up some cash.

And it feels weird putting "McDonald's Burger Flipper" on your resume.

But it's never too early to write a resume!

Trust me, you will be so grateful that you did this when a job pops up that you ACTUALLY want

and you won't be strapped for time trying to figure out how to make "McDonald's

Burger Flipper" sound intriguing and hirable.

This is a great time to do resume research and learn how to build a resume when you don't

have a lot of work experience.

Figuring out a way to creatively advertise your skills will put you WAY ahead of the curve!

Fourth, volunteer in your community.

So since we're thinking about filling our resume, volunteering is one of the best ways

to do it when you don't have a lot of work experience.

I can promise you that there are LOTS of opportunities in your community for you to plug in and help out.

It might be a vacation bible school at a local church or preparing meals for a local Meals

on Wheels or picking up trash at a local park.

There's so much good to do!

And what's also great is the networking opportunity it provides with people in your community.

This is how you find out about jobs a build a reputation (a good one, of course).

It's how you build your future.

And fifth, make memories.

If you're anything like me then there's probably a lot of bad associated with high school.

I was so READY to have graduated and to move on with my life.

But I also recognize now that the summer between graduation and whatever you launch yourself

into post-high school, is a really special time for connections with friends and family.

Maybe you're so ready to move out and get away from your family or you don't feel like you

have any real friends here, but just take a moment to slow down and step

back and take a snapshot of what your life looks right now.

The people you're with right now.

Who and what you care about right now.

I can almost guarantee you that a year from now things will seem vastly different!

Which is why I personally think it's really beneficial to document and cherish it in the now.

Anyway! Whatever you decide to do this summer, know that you have a bright and interesting future ahead!

And that it is exactly whatever you make of it.

So, of course, I wanna know what you guys think.

What do you think is important to do the summer after graduating?

Tell me down in the those comments!

Plus remember to like, favorite, share, and subscribe if this video made you smile!

See you guys on Thursday! (kiss)

LG V10 Wifi Bluetooth Problem FIXED No Connection Not Allowed Won't Turn On BCM43455HKUBG IC Repair - Duration: 11:13.

Are you experiencing Wifi or Bluetooth connection problems with your LG V10.

Do you see the message "Connection not allowed" beneath the Wifi or Bluetooth setting in your

phone?

If this sounds like a problem you've been experiencing with your LG V10 smartphone,

then stay tuned for the solution.

Hey guys, this is Hooman from CellularDR.com.

Welcome to our channel and thank you for tuning in, for another LG Smartphone Troubleshooting

and Repair video.

Today we are repairing the LG V10 which is also known as the VS990, H900, H901 and H960.

If you're experiencing Wifi or Bluetooth issues with your LG V10, the first thing you

should do is slide both buttons to the off position and restart the phone.

Once the phone has restarted and fully loaded, go ahead and turn both Wifi and Bluetooth

back on.

If after sliding the Wifi or Bluetooth to the on position the problem still persists,

then the next solution would be to replace the Broadcom Wifi & Bluetooth IC chip.

This is the IC Chip with the part number BCM43455HKUBG printed on it.

In this video I'm going to show you how to perform this board level repair, and as

usual I have added some links below showing you the equipment and supplies used for the

repair and where you can purchase them.

Remember everyone's skill level is different.

If after watching this video you decide that you would rather have your phone professionally

repaired, we're here to help.

You can find all the information you need, in the description below.

Now without further ado let's get started: Go ahead and fully disassemble the phone and

remove the motherboard.

I've sped up the video here assuming that you already know how to properly disassemble

the phone.

Once you have removed the motherboard from the LCD Assembly, go ahead and flip it over.

Then remove the silver heat shield covering the top left side of the motherboard, which

is where the Wifi and Bluetooth IC Chip is located.

Using the JBC Nano Soldering station with the smallest knife shaped tip available we

are going to scrape away the epoxy under fill glue from around the chip.

Be very patient and careful making sure you don't damage any surrounding components

while scraping away the glue.

You don't need to put a lot of pressure; the heat from the soldering iron will

loosen the glue.

Once you have removed most of the glue from around the chip, go ahead and clean the debris

and get ready to extract the chip.

Place the motherboard inside the PCB Circuit Holder, being careful not to damage

any of the components where the tabs of the holder put pressure on the board to hold it

in place.

Before you start, be sure to make a mental note of the IC chip's orientation, so that

you know which way to install the new chip later on

If there is no marking on the board, make sure that you make some kind of marking for

yourself.

You can even take a picture of the board for future reference.

Apply a small amount of flux on top of the IC chip.

Then using the JBC hot air station running at 430 degrees Celsius and 40% airflow, start

to heat the chip and carefully work the heat around the top of the chip.

Using a thin sharp X-Acto knife blade ready in your other hand, cut through the epoxy

under fill glue that's sealing the IC chip to the board.

The chip will start to loosen up but it won't move like a normal IC chip because the under

fill will keep it in place.

As the chip heats up the under fill will loosen up as well and you will be able to carefully slide the

tip of the blade between the IC chip and the board, being careful not to damage any of

the pads.

Once you feel all the solder balls are melted, give it a small upward nudge and pop the chip

off.

As you can see the chip is now off and all the pads are intact.

Now we have to clean all the under fill glue from the area, so apply some flux and begin

cleaning the area.

This is a very delicate process.

As you can see there is a lot of glue all over the pads.

You have to take your time and patiently clean the glue and at the same time get all the

contacts clean and ready to install a new chip.

Now be warned, during this process you may lose some of the no connect pins on the board.

These are the pins on the motherboard which connect to the IC Chip but do not connect

to anything else anywhere on the board which means that they are non-functional.

They are basically place holders.

Manufacturers put these pads on the board to keep the IC Chip nice and even but sometimes

when removing the chip, especially when there is under fill glue used, knocking them off

can't be helped.

This is absolutely normal since, there is nothing beneath the leg to keep it attached.

It's always a good idea to have the schematic on hand so you can check to make sure they

are in fact no-connect pins before you proceed to install the new IC chip.

If a schematic is not readily available, usually if you take a close look under the microscope

you will see that the runs from those pins do not connect to anything.

As you continue to scrape away the under fill glue it's a good idea to clean the debris

from time to time so you have good visibility on what you are doing.

Continue to scrape and clean the area with alcohol and reapply flux until all the glue

is gone.

Once all the under fill glue is cleaned off, apply some fresh flux and using a solder wick

clean the remaining solder off the pins.

Your goal is to get the legs to be as even as possible so that the new chip can sit evenly

on the board.

Additionally, you want the legs to be nice and shiny clean as you see here so that they

will make the best connection possible to the new IC chip.

Now apply some No Clean Flux to the area to help with the final cleaning and to prepare

for the new chip.

This is the perfect time to take a moment and do some house cleaning making sure that

all the components around the area are still in their proper places and straighten any

that may have moved.

Apply a small amount of flux to the contacts and place the IC chip down, making sure the

orientation is correct.

Hold the chip in place with your tweezers and apply some flux to the top of the chip.

Once the chip is settled in it's place, you can remove the tweezers and continue to

apply heat over the chip in a circular motion.

Continue to apply heat until you feel the solder joints have melted and are making a

good solid connection.

You can confirm this by looking through the side of the chip to make sure the joints are

all evenly melted and making good contact.

Using a brush and the highest grade alcohol you can find clean the area.

Then using compressed air get rid of all fluids and alcohol so that the contacts don't short

out during testing.

Now go ahead and put the shield back on and reassemble the phone.

If you have found this video helpful, please give it a Thumbs up and be sure to share this

video with anyone you know that may be experiencing a similar problem with their phone.

Also if you have any questions, comments or suggestions that may benefit anyone watching

this video, be sure to leave them in the comments section below.

Remember everyone's skill level is different.

If after watching this video

you decide that you would rather have your

phone professionally repaired,

we're here to help.

You can find all the information you need,

in the description below

Now, I would like to point out a few important things

to keep your phone healthy and functional

Once assembled, power up the phone and let it completely boot.

Go to settings and slide the Wifi button to the on position.

It should turn on and show you any available networks nearby.

Go ahead and attempt to connect to a nearby network, which you have access to.

Do the same thing for Bluetooth to make sure that it is working as well.

If for some reason either one do not work, disassemble the phone and take a look at the

contacts through the side of the chip to make sure they are sitting evenly and are similar

in size and color.

There should be a small gap between the chip and the board.

The chip should not be flat on the board.

If necessary, add some flux and reflow the chip and test it again.

Remember everyone's skill level is different.

repaired, we're here to help.

You can find all the information you need, in the description below.
