(gadush)

(painful moaning)

(sneeze)

- Quincy, what's wrong?

I thought you like when I role play

as Sharkesha Sugar Walls.

- (scream)

Sharkesha no!

- Oh, now you wanna use the safe word.

- As much as I would love to leap to those walls

in a single bound, you know I gotta go.

I'm running late for work!

(bleep bleep)

- Another mission?

I thought we were gonna Hulu and hump tonight.

- Baby, you know the crime rates are jumping right now,

higher than Uber prices.

I thought I told you.

- No!

And for someone who has telepathic abilities,

you don't tell me anything.

- What!

Baby, what are you talking about?

You know my secret identity.

My mama don't even know my secret identity.

- Don't even start, don't you even start!

- You think Superman is telling Lois Lane

his secret identity?

You think Bruce Wayne is opening up to every

chick he smashin'?

- Pepper Potts knows everything about Tony Stark,

and she doesn't live in fear!

- Who is Tony Stark?

- Iron Man.

- Baby,

who is Iron Man?

- What?

- Something's going on with you,

and I don't know what it is.

(bleeps)

- Why is Mayor Markle calling you so late?

- Mayor Markle, just be who?

- The Mayor.

- The Mayor, oh, let me see that.

You crazy, that's what you are.

(muttering)

Oh, baby, you ain't gonna believe this.

A group of elderly professional handball players are trapped

on a burning bus, and they need me to come to the rescue.

- Are you sleeping with her?

- (laughs)

That's what you think?

Girl, we ain't gonna do this right now.

- Are you fucking this bitch?

- No!

Baby, no, I told you, she only calls me when

the city is in danger!

- Like the time she called your tongue into her mouth?

- You talking about that, no,

I knew you were gonna talk about that time,

and let's not go there, okay?

Because I have an answer for you.

Let me tell you, right now, what the answer is.

Are you ready? - Mmm hm.

- 'Cause I'm gonna tell you right now in three, two--

- Get to it!

- Okay, don't rush me.

Here's what the answer is.

It wasn't a kiss.

It was mouth to mouth resuscitation.

- Really?

With your tongue down her throat

outside her windowsill in the pouring rain?

You didn't think I'd see those photos on Wendy Williams?

- Was this before or after Wendy had that stroke?

Because she was saying a lot

of incoherent things. - Stop it.

Everybody warned me about dating a superhero.

I thought it was going to be so cool!

Oh my god, so strong, so fast, so sure,

so rich, they can last for hours!

None of it's true!

- I lasted for hours once that one time.

- Mmm mmm.

- I felt like, when I woke up it was hours later.

- Mmm, no.

- Baby, calm that, okay?

It happened just once, alright?

And I should've told you.

And for that I am sorry.

But right now, can we talk about this another time?

That elderly professional group of handball players,

they are going to die!

- Fuck them.

- Please, can you hand me

my codpiece for genital protection?

- Ugh!

What the hell is this?

Is this lipstick?

- Huh, let me see this for a second.

What, this, is what you're freaking out about?

That's crazy.

That's not lipstick, baby, that's um,

that's blood from a battle I was in last night.

- Since when is blood purple?

- Aliens.

Alien blood.

(bleep bleep)

Oh my god, oh my god, are you happy now?

Remember those four elderly professional handball players

I was telling you about, that were on a burning bus?

They just died.

I hope you are satisfied.

You happy?

You got what you wanted!

But ironically enough they didn't die from the fire.

Yeah, they were just really, really old.

And then one of them had dementia,

then he shot the rest of them.

It's crazy.

- You don't seem too upset about it.

- Well, I don't have time to be mad right now,

because

I still have to go to a

a space treaty

that I have to go and moderate?

- Can't someone else go?

We are not done here!

- Baby, listen.

I am literally the only person on planet earth

that has the ability to get there.

Deuces.

(whooshing)

- Don't you go out that window!

Bullshit!

Superman can fly too!

(whooshing)

(creaking)

The history parody of Titanic 1912 - Duration: 2:12.

What happened to the only Japanese passenger on the Titanic?

Masabumi Hosono was sleeping at the moment of the Titanic disaster.

When Aunt knocked at her cabin to tell him to wear the life jacket,

he answered "do not break, hosono (hosono in italian means something like I'm tired).

And so he sank along with the Titanic.

Masabumi Hosono, when he went back to Japan, he was fired and disonored by the Japanese press

because he had died alive and without being first committed suicide with a katana.

A few newspapers said he moved from died so as not to die dead.

So he wrote a book on the importance of afternoon nap after lunch that helps

to reduce stress.

Masamubi had a project that he would do become Esperanto the first spoken language

in the world.

But fortunately he sank along with the Titanic.

But do you know the story of the Titanic?

The Titanic was a boat that carried people from right to left of the Earth.

It was said to be unsinkable.

But it sank, not because he hit an iceberg, but because the Earth is flat and America it is on the other side of the sheet.

When he sank his last words were "Do not vaccinate your planes or they will produce

chemtrails".

But do you know why Masabumi Hosono is always tired?

'Boycott Kimmel Petition' Hits Over 200k Signatures… Refuses To Apologize To Melania. - Duration: 3:09.

'Boycott Kimmel Petition' Hits Over 200k Signatures…

Refuses To Apologize To Melania.

One apology down, one to go.

That's how thousands of supporters of first lady Melania Trump are feeling after late-night

comedian Jimmy Kimmel apologized Sunday to Fox News host Sean Hannity for the "level

of vitriol from all sides … (me included)" in the spat between the two men that was sparked

by Kimmel poking fun of the first lady last week.

While the Kimmel-Hannity fued may be over for the time being, Kimmel has yet to apologize

for his mocking of the first lady.

And that has prompted hundreds of thousands of people to sign an online petition calling

for a boycott of Kimmel's nightly ABC talk show.

"Boycott The Jimmy Kimmel Show For Mocking And Attacking Our First Lady Melania Trump,"

the petition reads.

As of midday Tuesday, more than 204,000 signatures had been collected on the online petition.

The original goal of petition organizers was 50,000 signatures.

The petition and its signatures will be sent to "the front door of Disney/ABC Studios"

in order to "send a message that these attacks on our First Lady will NOT be tolerated,"

according to the organizers of the petition.

On his April 9 program, Kimmel made fun of Trump's Slovenian accent after showing a

video clip of her reading to children during the annual Easter egg roll at the White House.

"Be clever and curious, just like a cat," Trump said as she read to children in the

video played by Kimmel.

"Ask lots of questions.

about this and that."

While his audience laughed along, Kimmel mocked the first lady's accent, saying, "Yeah,

(ask) about dees and dat."

Hannity slammed Kimmel during his prime-time Fox News show, calling Kimmel a "despicable

disgrace" and an "ass clown."

Kimmel responded on his own program by firing back at Hannity.

"If I'm an ass clown," Kimmel said, "You are the whole ass circus."

The fued spilled over to Twitter, where Kimmel made comments about Hannity's relationship

with President Donald Trump that had homophobic overtones.

"Don't worry — just keep tweeting — you'll get back on top! (or does Trump prefer you

on bottom?)"

Kimmel wrote in one of his tweets.

In his apology Sunday, Kimmel said he "did not intend to belittle or upset members of

the gay community" in his criticisms of Hannity.

"To those who took offense, I apologize."

Kimmel mentioned Melania Trump in his apology to Hannity, saying he believed his poking

fun of her accent was "harmless."

He also claimed the first lady "almost certainly has enough to worry about without being used

a prop to increase TV ratings."

But there was no outright apology to the first lady, which will almost certainly prompt organizers

of the online petition to seek even more signatures in their call for a Kimmel boycott.

Dejan Lovren reveals half-time words that helped Liverpool turn it around at City - Duration: 4:56.

Dejan Lovren reveals half-time words that helped Liverpool turn it around at City

Defender Dejan Lovren has lifted the lid on the dressing room exchanges which sparked Liverpool into a second-half comeback against Manchester City.

Trailing 1-0 having been swamped by Pep Guardiola's side for 45 minutes, Jurgen Klopp's players were reeling as they came in for the interval of their Champions League quarter-final second-leg.

However, after a verbal kick up the backside from Lovren and some tactical input from Klopp, the second half proved to be a totally different affair with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino scoring to secure a 2-1 win and 5-1 aggregate victory.

"To be honest I was shouting a bit at half-time," said Lovren.

"I told the lads to wake up because it was not good enough and I said we were sitting too deep.

"Of course Klopp said 'Yes you are sitting too deep because you are not pushing up'.

He wanted me and Virg (Virgil van Dijk) to be more compact and push the team up, but it was quite difficult to push up when City had the ball.

"It was all positive, there was nothing negative, but I needed to remind the guys that we had 50 minutes to be in the semi-finals of the Champions League and we needed to give more.

"The first 10-15 minutes wasn't good enough.

When you see the second half, again they had a couple of chances but nothing too serious.".

The victory was Liverpool's second in a week over the Premier League champions-elect and their third over Guardiola's side – who have lost just seven matches in all competitions – this season.

It extended Klopp's impressive personal record against the Catalan to eight wins and one draw from their 14 meetings, better than any of his contemporaries.

The frustration for Liverpool is that they have not been able to convert that into more of a challenge on the domestic front, trailing City by 17 points in the league.

"The regret is definitely the first six or seven games of the season in the Premier League," added Lovren.

"We had many draws and they took us out of the first place.

I would say we didn't have any luck with injuries again and City didn't have injuries all season.

"It was weird because we didn't catch up well from the beginning.

I'm definitely confident that next season we can push everyone, even ourselves, to do better from the beginning to the end.

"They deserve to be champions but we are in good shape now and hopefully we can go to the final and it can be a good season for us.

Also, we need to finish in the top four for next season.".

With 12-time winners Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, who have won it five times, expected to complete the semi-final line-up alongside Liverpool and Roma, who stunned Barcelona, Lovren is clear who he wants to avoid in the last four.

"From a personal point of view I don't want Real Madrid in the semi-finals.

They have a lot of experience in the Champions League, a lot of records and over the past three seasons it is always them," he said.

"But whoever we get will find it difficult to come to Anfield and score some goals.

"When you concede one goal and score five against Manchester City I think we should respect Liverpool more.

"People talked from the beginning about Manchester City being favourites and they were favourites, but I think after this there should be more respect for Liverpool.

Story Points - The Cornerstone of Agile Estimating and Planning - Duration: 7:52.

Story Points

A cornerstone of Agile Estimating and Planning.

And also the source of much confusion.

Not least for me.

I didn't understand them for the longest time.

But now, at last, the mists are clearing

Welcome to Development The Pays

My name is Gary Straughan

And welcome back to this mini series on

Agile Estimating and Planning

If you'd like to catch up

This link will take you right to the beginning

and deliver you automagically…

Right back to the this very point.

All caught up?

Let's dive in!

This is a map of Great Britain.

Notice anything strange about it?

Not really a fair question.

I grew up colouring in pictures of this map at school

For those of you that didn't

This is a more conventional view of Great Britain

The reason for this distortion?

This is not a map of DISTANCE

it's a map of TIME.

The map represents travel time.

More specifically: travel time from London.

(This kind of map is called an Isochrone in case you want to Google for a map of your

own country or region.)

The stretching that we see in Scotland And the southwest

And parts of the east

Is a reflection that the transport system in these areas

is less well developed.

Which, is no bad thing.

Would you build a motorway through this?

For planning a trip, this map is excellent:

I get to see directly how long it will get somewhere.

With no nasty surprises

(Like the one I got the first time that I drove to the Highlands of Scotland.)

I like this map a lot

But there are a couple of drawbacks to this map

that you've probably already spotted.

This version represents travel time from/to London.

Great for me, because I live in London.

Not so good for someone who lives in Galsgow

They would need a different version.

There are potentially an infinite number of these maps

each with a different starting point.

That's one problem.

Another is that whoever put together this map

made assumptions about the mode of transport.

Is this a map of travel times for car travel?

or public transport?

The shape of the map will be different in each case.

It would be different again for walking

and for cycling.

So it turns out that this style of map isn't as useful as it might look at first sight.

The conventional map turns out to be more useful

even though it doesn't give me the number I want directly.

I want travel time,

What I get is distance

But I'm very comfortable with "deriving" time from distance.

And I bet you are too.

It's second-nature to us

To take a distance and "transmute" it into time.

Let's do a quick demonstration of that

If I ask you how long it takes to drive from Paris to Brussels…

You may not have the first idea.

If I tell you they are 317 km apart

( that's just short of 200 miles)

You can now take a stab at it.

Here's another example of "transmutation"

How long does it take me type 5,000 words?

No idea?

Me neither!

What if I tell you that I can type 50 words per minute?

(I can't type anything like that fast… but it keep the maths easy)

5000 words, 50 words per minute.

100 minutes.

Words transmuted into time.

We're talked about DISTANCE... to TIME

WORDS… to TIME

Wouldn't it be useful if there was something like these

that we could apply to software development.

Something that we could measure easily and transmute into TIME

Trouble is.

The things in software that are easy to measure

have some drawbacks

It's easy to measure

Number of lines of code

Number of functions

Number of commits into source control

All easy to measure

These turn out to be bad choices:

Measure lines of code…

and you get lots of useless lines of code.

Measure number the functions… and you get lots of useless functions

Measure commits…

and you get lots of meaningless commits.

In any case, these things all depend on coding

- and coding comes a little late in the process.

We want something that could be applied in the planning phase.

Enter the star of today's show: the Story Point.

The Story Points are used to indicate the "size" of

a Story.

Or Feature.

Or task.

Or piece of work.

Story points share some of the properties

of the "transmutable" things we looked at earlier.

If one particular Feature is 5 Story Points in size

We can each apply our own "transmutation"

I might think that I could complete it in 5 days.

A more gifted colleague might think that she could

complete it in 4 days.

So far so good..

And now we hit a bump in the road.

Miles….

kilometres…They are well-defined.

They are concrete.

We're unlikely to argue about the size of a mile.

When we talk about miles (or kilometres) we both know what we're talking about

Miles - kilometres - are concrete concepts.

A Story Point is an abstract concept.

There's nowhere you can go to look up the size of a Story Point

As it turns out, that's not as big a problem as it might seem at first sight.

I'll tell you why at the beginning of the next episode.

Thank you very much for watching

could take out Syria's chemical weapons capability the United States could

launch an attack against the Assad regime that would take Syria's chemical

weapons capability away if the UN Security Council backed Donald Trump

former US commander Kirk lip hold has warned dot speaking to Fox News mister

lip old claimed Donald Trump could verify through US intelligence channels

who was responsible for the recent deadly chemical attack in Syria and

could take Syria's chemical power away from President Assad completely he said

the first thing we need to do is verify through intelligence channels that in

fact the attack took place who carried it out where it was launched from what

was used to do it then at that point we take a step back

and we put together the military forces and then decide whether we're going to

react in a manner that would take away that capability not like we did last

time with the Tomahawk missile but this time on a more permanent basis in with

the backing the Security Council hopefully at the UN mr. Trump promised

forceful action on Monday in response to a suspected Syrian poison gas attack

that killed at least 60 people and injured more than 1,000 others

US officials said military options were being developed mr. Trump said we are

going to make a decision tonight or very shortly thereafter and you will be

hearing the decision we can't let atrocities like we all witnessed we

can't let that happen in our world we can't let that happen especially when we

are able to because of the power of the u.s. because of the power of our country

we are able to stop it mr. Trump also hit out at Syrian President Bashar

al-assad and allies Russia and Iran over the suspected chemical attack he wrote

Syria area of atrocity is on lockdown and encircled by Syrian army making it

completely inaccessible to outside world President Putin Russia and Iran are

responsible for backing animal Assad big price to pay the US State Department

Moscow's ambassador to the UN made the threat as he dismissed claims the Syrian

regime had used chemical weapons as fake news mr. nevan's 'ya called for the

organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons to urgently fly to

Syria to visit the site of the attack dot the UN Security Council is set to

vote on a new inquiry into responsibility for use of chemical

weapons in Syria Richard Gowen the UN expert at the European Council on

Foreign Relations said this is basically a diplomatic setup

Russia will inevitably veto the u.s. resolution criticizing Assad and

Washington will use this to justify military strikes the Russian Foreign

Ministry has warned against military action as it claimed invented and

fabricated excuses Syrian President Bashar al-assad and his supporters

including Russia have been blamed by world leaders for the chemical attack

Russia and Syria have both denied involvement in the incident in the

Man City 1-2 Liverpool: Player Ratings – What the media and statistics say - Duration: 5:07.

Man City 1-2 Liverpool: Player Ratings – What the media and statistics say

Liverpool secured their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League by virtue of a 2-1 second-leg victory over Man City on Tuesday night.

The Reds made the final four of Europes elite club competition with a 5-1 aggregate win over the Premier League champions-elect, in a brilliant two-legged performance.

After blitzing City in a 3-0 thrashing at Anfield last week, Jurgen Klopps side took to the Etihad seeking a vital away goal to ensure progress.

Things didnt get off to the brightest of starts, however, as Gabriel Jesus struck within two minutes with City applying pressure throughout the first half.

But after weathering the storm, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino both scored to cap a strong display littered with excellent individual showings.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Georginio Wijnaldum, James Milner and Sadio Mane were among those to impress, but who stood out for journalists and statisticians?.

Below we compare our ratings with those of the Liverpool Echo, the Independent, Sky Sports, ESPN, The Anfield Wrap, Anfield Index, The Redmen TV and WhoScored:.

It comes as little surprise to see Alexander-Arnold (8. 2), Milner (8. 2) and Firmino (8. 2) receive the highest ratings, given their all-round influence on the result.

And not far behind, Lovren (8. 1) and Salah (8. 1) are both rightly lauded as difference-makers at either end of the pitch.

Loris Karius (7. 3) is rated the lowest of any player, but this is largely due to the efforts of his back four, with 12 of Citys 20 shots on goal blocked and only three on target.

The goalkeeper is one of six players to receive at least two individual ratings of nine or 10 out of 10, however, along with Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Milner, Salah and Firmino.

A clear point to note is the difference between the ratings of Liverpool-centric publications and those of a more partisan persuasion, with both the Independent and Sky Sports doling out six-out-of-10 ratings.

Georginio Wijnaldum (7. 4) was deemed one of the Reds worst performers by both, with the overall ratings of Mane (7. 7), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (7. 5), Andrew Robertson (7. 6) and Virgil van Dijk (7. 6) also suffering as a result.

On a statistical basis, a difficult first half for Klopps midfield is reflected with lowly ratings for both Milner (6. 76) and Wijnaldum (6. 84), with City bypassing the middle of the park.

Robertson (6.49) was the least influential in this regard, while Karius quiet night (6. 61) was also highlighted by WhoScored.

Interestingly, their top performer was Mane (7. 64), which is arguably more representative of his overall display, having continually tested the City back line with seven successful dribbles.

Having rung the changes between both legs, with five alterations for the Merseyside derby, Klopp could opt to omit some of his top performers for Saturdays clash with Bournemouth at Anfield.

After a phenomenal showing at Anfield that saw a host of talents shine, it could be worthwhile to provide them with another rest.

Liverpool's evolution between trips to the Etihad shows mark of Champions League challengers - Duration: 8:07.

Liverpool's evolution between trips to the Etihad shows mark of Champions League challengers

The difference between Liverpools 5-0 loss to Man City in September and their 5-1 aggregate win in April highlights the significant progress made.

City like to think they can buy and sell anything.

The value of not conceding an away goal in the first leg was priceless though.

We gave City the ball for 90 minutes.

During the second half at Anfield and the first half at Eastlands we largely allowed Pep Guardiola's side near-exclusivity of the ball.

Have it. See what you can do with it.

In the end, City could create pretty patterns but failed to deliver a punch of real substance.

During the first half at Anfield and the second half at Eastlands Liverpool toyed with their opponents, while during the second half at Anfield and the first half at Eastlands they seemed to play with their opponents' minds.

This shouldn't be seen as a flaw of City's, but instead the hallmark of a job well done by Liverpool.

How Long Ago Does That 5-0 Feel?.

I know I said back in September, in the wake of that Premier League capitulation to City, that we'd beat them at some point this season, but I didn't expect us to turn them over three times.

According to the rather brilliant Richard Jolly, Liverpool have now scored 21 percent of all the goals that City have conceded this season.

Now I'm not stats-centric, but that one even provoked a retweet out of me.

It's only right and proper to revel in what we've achieved in these quarter-final clashes with the champions-elect, so just stop for a minute to consider how good of a side that Liverpool have ushered out of the tournament.

Guardiola has coaxed a special brand of football from his team this season.

Yes, all that talk of going unbeaten and of winning a quadruple has proved to be outlandish, but this is still a great team.

City fans will look back for generations to come and struggle to countenance that they ended the 2017/18 campaign with just one trophy, no matter how considerable that trophy is.

Liverpool fans old enough to have lived through the 1978/79 and 1987/88 seasons know how that feels.

City will have other seasons where they collect more trophies than they will this time around, but with a brand of football that doesn't live up to what they produced this time around.

Football can be weird.

Liverpool won this one 5-1 on aggregate.

That one goal that Guardiola's side procured should have been disallowed.

Yet, how much did we ride our luck?.

Penalty shouts, posts hit, goals disallowed, but no saves of earth-moving purpose to be made by Loris Karius.

Guardiola lost his composure and he was sent to the stands.

Football. Can. Weird. We Were Always Going to Score.

It was inevitable that we would score at Eastlands.

We knew it. They knew it. Similar to when we went to Old Trafford in the Europa League.

There was no way we wouldn't be picking off an away goal in Manchester.

It was Philippe Coutinho then and it was Mohamed Salah now, with the added cherry on the cake delivered by Roberto Firmino.

The general feeling I had for the first leg was that we could win, but we might not.

For the second leg I felt that while City could come back, they weren't going to.

We are a different Liverpool to the one which rolled over and played dead for them back in September.

There was a great deal of character in the way that we didn't panic after conceding such an early goal.

The first half was heavy going for Salah, Firmino and Sadio Mane.

When Salah chipped in the goal which killed off any realistic spectre of a City comeback, the light returned to our game.

More time on the ball came our way and space was in abundance.

These two games were very unique in their composition.

History will point to a scoreline that doesn't tell the wider story.

Can Liverpool Realistically Win the Champions League?.

This is a question posed quite rapidly, each and every time we have overcome a hurdle on this liberating and intoxicating run to the semi-finals.

I could see the same question still being posed as Jordan Henderson is passed 'Old Big Ears' in Kiev, should it come to it.

You don't get this close to the final without having a realistic chance of winning the thing, but I'm happy to embrace the continued underestimating of Jurgen Klopp's steadily evolving side.

Roma and what is likely to be Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will lay in wait in the semi-finals.

Three names that offer evocative images of legendary European Cup nights for Liverpool, be it the 1984 final, the 1981 final, or the 1981 semi-final.

None of them will want to face us.

We should fear no one.

That's not to say we will beat them.

We recalibrate for a new challenge.

We can win, but we might not.

It is this concept which powers the electricity upon which such legendary and winning European deeds are so often lived and relived.

What Is Blockchain? A Simple Explainer for Businesses - Duration: 4:29.

In 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz paid another user of a bitcoin forum

10,000 BTC for two Papa John's pizzas.

Those BTC today?

They're worth $110 million dollars.

Yeah, I hope he got extra garlic sauce with that.

This was the first time bitcoin was used in a transaction,

and it has been memorialized as Bitcoin Pizza Day.

Every year in May, the crypto community celebrates Laszlo's late night craving for a slice.

Now people are talking about a bitcoin bubble

and raising capital via initial coin offerings.

Even iced tea companies are jumping on the crypto craze to jump their stock price.

And remember tamagotchis?

Thanks to bitcoin, they're making quite the comeback —

except now they're digital kittens — some worth $110,000.

If you're like most, all the headlines and hype about

bitcoin and digital mining — it's confusing.

But the biggest opportunity for businesses of any kind

are actually related to the technology that underlies bitcoin —

known as blockchain.

It's changing the way we think systems should work.

Now, transparency actually equals more security and complex value networks …

they can be simplified through technology.

If we're talking in terms of the scale of disruption,

blockchain is less Airbnb upends the hotel industry and more like how the internet …

Well, it changed everything.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves.

Let's start with the basics:

Blockchain is a incorruptible digital ledger that can record anything of value.

With blockchain, transparency is the rule, not the exception.

Let's say you're working on a document with your team.

If someone makes a change in a Word document,

you have to wait for the new version to be sent to you

before you can view the adjustment or continue making changes.

And then you send it back.

And then you wait for a new version.

And this goes on and on and becomes even more complicated

as more people get involved and make revisions.

However, with a Google Doc,

there's one record that everyone has access to at all times.

Because communication and collaboration occurs directly between users,

there's little need for intermediaries and gatekeepers.

But, what's so bad about a middle man?

They tend to make things more complicated and definitely more expensive.

When you buy a house, you pay for a lot of other small costs

like title registration, mortgage lenders, inspections, and legal fees.

There are all these other people involved to provide access, regulate,

and administer a sale from one person to another.

But a lot of this complexity disappears with blockchain.

You can record property data and even build in digital rules

— called smart contracts — that, once fulfilled,

allow the system to automatically transfer a property title or money for purchase.

With blockchain, the information stored is permanent.

It's almost impossible to manipulate because each block,

which is basically a file of data, contains a unique hash.

Blocks are also marked with the hash of the previous block,

which links to and creates the blockchain.

If a previous block's information is changed,

a new hash is created, and all the following blocks, they become void

since they no longer reference the correct hash of the previous block.

And when someone wants to add a new block to the ledger,

a person in the network known as a validator has to verify the data

and solve a mathematical problem before it can be added.

This is where the term "mining" comes into play.

Once it's added to the chain, everyone in the system gets an updated copy.

This distributed information network means that

multiple people have a single source of truth,

and no one person can simply rewrite history or delete a central record.

While the buzz around bitcoin is turning investors' heads,

the real change — how we communicate, make purchases,

and even gain access to information — will be driven by blockchain.
