MACIEK: Hi my name is Maciek and I'm an engineer on Google Web Designer.

Today I'll show you how to use Google Web

Designer event system.

By the end of this video

you'll know how to setup event handlers in your documents.

I've prepared a simple document for us to use

which contains a carousel gallery and a blue div.

In order to add event handlers to your document

you're going to want to find the events panel here on the right side.

This will show you a list of all of

your installed event handlers.

We don't have any handlers yet here

so the list is empty.

But if you have a lot of them,

you can sort and filter through them.

To add event handlers to this list

we're going to need to bring up the events dialog.

There are a couple ways to get to that dialog.

One way if you already know which target you want to select,

you can right click on an element and select

Add event...

This will set the selected element as your target.

Instead let's deselect that element and open the

events dialog using this little plus icon in the corner.

This will open up the events dialog without any preferences selected.

The first thing we want to do

is select the target.

This is the element that'll trigger our event handler.

For this example I'm going to choose the carousel.

Next we need to choose an event

which will trigger our event handler.

Most elements support Mouse and Touch events.

Since this is a carousel it also supports some special specific events.

I'm going to select the click event

and now we get to choose an action.

This is the action that we want to perform in response to the event.

Most elements support setting CSS styles

and adding custom actions which we'll get to in a minute.

If you have other custom elements in

your documents, they might have additional events here for you to select.

For this demo I'm going to choose set styles.

Next we're going to choose a receiver.

This is the element whose CSS we want to change.

For this demo I'm going to choose the blue div,

and I'll assign some CSS properties to it.

I'll change the background color of the div to be red.

You can choose some easing options,

add a duration, and click

OK to save.

That's it. We've added an event handler to our document.

Now we can go ahead and preview the document and see what we've made.

Now we see when I click on the carousel, the blue div

slowly changes to red.

That was pretty easy.

Now let's say we've made a mistake

and we want to change our event handler.

We don't need to make a whole brand new event handler.

We can just edit the one that we've currently made.

If you double click on the event handler,

it'll open up the events dialog in editing mode.

Let's go back to the actions screen and select custom action.

Here you can write any valid JavaScript code.

I'm going to go ahead and give the code a function name.

And for the purpose of this demo let's just make an alert call.

That looks good.

Now click OK to save.

We see that our event handler has been updated

to show that we're going to call my function.

Let's preview it.

Now when I click on the carousel

we see the alert statement come up.

After Trump Pardons Him, D'Souza Comes Forward With Shocking Claim About Obama.

On Thursday, President Donald Trump made liberal heads explode by pardoning conservative filmmaker

Dinesh D'Souza, the mastermind behind best-selling movies like "2016: Obama's America."

In the wake of this good news, D'Souza wasted no time before coming forward with a shocking

claim about Barack Obama.

Dinesh D'Souza is undoubtedly one of the most prominent and vocal conservatives in

America.

The most successful documentary filmmaker of all-time, he produced the wildly popular

movie "2016: Obama's America."

However, while D'Souza has been incredibly successful, his work has also made him a target.

While Barack Obama was in office, D'Souza was prosecuted for using a "straw donor"

to make campaign contributions on his behalf which exceeded the established limitations

for an individual.

Donors rarely face charges for such violations, and the investigation into D'Souza's actions

was widely seen as a political witchhunt, but he pleaded guilty to the charges in federal

court in 2014.

His lawyer argued that the government "targeted" D'Souza "because of his consistently caustic

and highly publicized criticism" of Barack Obama.

He filed court papers at the time claiming that his client was "selectively targeted

for felony prosecution because of his outspoken, vigorous and politically controversial criticism

and condemnation" of the president and his administration.

Indeed, the double-standard when it comes to these sorts of cases is glaring.

For example, Democratic mega-donor Rosie O'Donnell was caught using four different names and

five different addresses in order to give Democratic candidates as much money as possible:

Rosie O'Donnell made illegally over-sized campaign donations to at least five Democratic

federal candidates, according to a Post analysis of campaign filings.

The liberal comedian has regularly broken Federal Election Commission rules limiting

the total any one person can give to an individual candidate at $2,700 per election.

The limit applies separately to primaries, runoffs and general elections.

O'Donnell tried to say that she had no idea she had broken the law, but the fact that

she went to such great lengths to cover her tracks, using so many different names and

addresses, would certainly suggest that she was well aware of her wrongdoing and even

taking steps to try to make sure she didn't get caught.

D'Souza ultimately avoided jail time in his case but was confined for 8 months in

a halfway house, given five years probation, and ordered to pay a $30,000 fine.

However, it was announced on Thursday that he was granted a full pardon by President

Donald Trump, who agreed that it was absolutely ridiculous to prosecute the filmmaker for

something prominent Democrats have always gotten away with.

In announcing the pardon, Trump said D'Souza "was treated very unfairly by our government!"

D'Souza responded to the pardon by expressing his heartfelt thanks to Donald Trump and noting

that Obama had very nearly destroyed his faith in the American dream.

"My heartfelt thanks to those who prayed for me, supported me & reached out on social

media to President Trump to pardon me," D'Souza tweeted.

"Obama & his stooges tried to extinguish my American dream & destroy my faith in America.

Thank you @realDonaldTrump for fully restoring both."

D'Souza's wife Debbie also expressed her gratitude to the president and gave special

thanks to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for pushing the pardon.

"I want to thank @realDonaldTrump for giving my husband a pardon but I particularly want

to thank @SenTedCruz for putting it on his radar and helping make it happen!

So grateful!" she tweeted.

Cruz also praised the pardon, tweeting, "Bravo! @realDonaldTrump Dinesh was the subject of

a political prosecution, brazenly targeted by the Obama administration bc of his political

views.

And he's a powerful voice for freedom, systematically dismantling the lies of the Left—which is

why they hate him.

This is Justice."

You certainly can't blame a man like Dinesh D'Souza for questioning his faith in America

after having been targeted by the Obama administration.

And, make no mistake, he was targeted.

Barack Obama was looking for any way possible to skewer the conservative filmmaker who made

a career out of exposing him.

Obama ultimately found his avenue for hurting D'Souza, choosing to have him prosecuted

for a "crime" which Democrats commit all the time, and on a much bigger scale.

Just like Dinesh D'Souza, Americans from sea to shining sea have had their faith restored

by President Donald Trump, who is systematically working to dismantle Obama's legacy.

The pardon of D'Souza was just the latest step in this effort.
