Today we will answer the questions about the release of Matchmaking,
go in-depth with the drones, modules and skins update,
and we will also announce a special holiday!
Hello tankers!
Matchmaking was released earlier this week
and became the main topic of all discussions in Tanki.
We've received a lot of questions
and today we will discuss the update in detail.
Unfortunately, the update was released with some issues.
Problems started on Tuesday morning with several restarts
and the first impression was already spoiled.
On Wednesday evening we released a new fix after the maintenance,
which was supposed to solve the problem with the long wait for new battles,
incorrect team balance and other technical issues.
We continue to monitor the situation.
And now your questions:
The most surprising question came from some tankers --
"How can I complete my missions now?".
And the surprising part is the fact that even Lieutenants,
Marshals and Legends wanted to know that.
It's very simple: press the "Battle!" button in Lobby
choose a mode and "Play!"
And the most popular concern was "Now I can't choose a map!"
Yes, in standard battles you can no longer decide what map is played.
For this we have PRO-battles.
"But you can't complete missions in PRO" -- will also say some.
That's right, you have to decide:
do you want to complete the missions or play on your own rules.
One more popular question --
"How come in battles I see Legends playing against Recruits?".
We have seen a lot of such screenshots.
It looks like a bug, but… it's not.
Yes, this situation is possible,
if players create a battle group and add a lot of low ranked friends there.
At the start we deliberately didn't limit the ranks for battle groups,
so players could invite different friends.
Now we see it doesn't work as intended,
and that's why we will introduce rank limits for battle groups, but a bit later.
Cases where the difference between ranks was smaller,
like Warrant Officers against Brigadiers,
were real server errors of the first 2 days, and these errors are now fixed.
Let's move to the next problem - "It takes too long to enter a battle".
Here it's also because of the issues of the first couple of days,
most of which are solved.
It's also possible to have a longer waiting time if you're in a group -
the game has to find a group of opponents for you first,
and in the beginning not many players know how to use the battle groups.
So here's a quick guide to battle groups from the V-LOG:
To create a battle group, press on "Group" button and add friends or clan members.
When you're ready, choose a mode and press "Play".
Your battle group will be matched to another group
based on the highest rank among the players in the group.
So it's best to make groups of friends with ranks as close to each other as possible.
One more popular question:
"What is the mechanism to form battles?
Does your equipment influence it?"
Players are joined into the battle based on ranks, almost like it was before.
And here's how tankers get distributed between the teams:
First they form a line with the strongest to the weakest.
Then players are split into pairs and randomly put into teams.
In the end, each battle has the weak and strong players,
but on average team rosters are equal.
About the equipment,
it affects Matchmaking, but not in a direct way.
During team composition the system will take note of the player's level,
which is also formed among other things from the Garage that the tanker owns.
And the last thing about matchmaking for today
-- tankers, we apologize for all these technical issues.
Juggernaut wasn't released.
Its final tests are taking a bit longer than planned.
Now it'll come after the holidays, so it's one or two weeks more.
Also -- a popular question --
when will you be able to buy the Juggernaut?
And the answer is, of course, never.
The tank itself won't be available for purchase.
You can play it only in the Juggernaut mode.
Now we're moving to the update with the codename "Energizer"
and the confusion with how the old modules will be converted into the new modules.
We'll try to explain:
first all of your modules, including Legacy, will be converted into new modules.
If the old modules are highly upgraded and it's a lot of them,
you will get new modules with high upgrades and a lot of batteries for drones.
Only after all of these calculations will we remove the old modules.
Semyon Strizhak will explain in more detail how the conversion works in a special video,
that will be released with the update.
Also about the update.
There's been an important change in plans --
XT skins are NOT coming at the same time as the modules and drones.
They will be added to the game later.
We'll also remind you,
that with the release of skins we will convert XT equipment into standard
and add the skins separately.
And now drones!
They are staying the same,
for the exception that the Trooper drone will look not like this,
but like this.
Video of the Week.
Last week we gave you creative freedom to record
a video on any theme with only one rule -
you had to wear the Blue paint.
Let's check out the winners!
For the next episode the theme of your video should be
- my super successful battle,
and we accept only standard battles.
Record the last minute of the battle and final score window.
The winner will be chosen from the biggest score at the end, excluding Premium.
Also wear the White paint.
Tankers!
On Monday, June 4th,
Tanki Online will turn 9 years old, and it's almost as cool as 10.
Celebrations start in the game on Monday, June 4th, and will run for full 7 days.
The holiday is as cool as ever.
There's holiday decorations, 2 special offers, including a new animated paint,
and discounts waiting for you in the game!
Discounts will start with the Shop -- 50% off of everything
Next will come items in the Garage -- turrets, hulls, modules, supplies and alterations
And ending the sale are MicroUpgrades -- 50% on each step and 70% on SpeedUps.
And cherry on top -- double battle funds in standard battles.
They will last for the WHOLE HOLIDAY!
Of course, the traditional quest The Game will return.
This time, the rules will be changed:
First of all: the quest will run for 3 days only, instead of the usual 5.
This is an experiment.
Let's see, maybe you like this type of quest better.
And second: after entering the key word you will need to do a certain action.
This will protect us from the mult invasion in the Top 100.
For the rest of the quest the rules are standard.
And if everything we've just said makes no sense to you,
wait for the announcement.
The news will be published on June 5th, at the same time as the registration starts.
The Game quest itself will start on June 6th, which is Wednesday.
That's it for today's episode!
See you next week, bye!
In the previous episode we showed you 4 drop zones on the map Duel,
and you had to guess which supply box will be the last to drop.
The right answer is -- Repair Kit.
Let's welcome the winners and here's the new question:
How many times will the shot bounce?
