Onyx by Orion Can Automate Your Life...Seriously - Duration: 7:35.

This video assumes that you already have your Onyx by Orion paired with your iPhone

or your Android device, and that you already have an account with Onyx by Orion.

Within IFTTT, and this is where everything starts, you can

actually search for Onyx or Orion and you will find the Orion service. Now what

you're going to do is connect that service to your account that you've

already used to sign up when you were setting up your Onyx device. So you'll

need to authorize and then from there you can see all of these applets that

are already here. You can see integration with Wemo, you can see integration with

Gmai,l Samsung SmartThings and down at the bottom, just on the base

page, we actually have access to Alexa as well. You can see the trigger. So you can

choose which group, who says what, and what word or phase, and then you can also

choose the action and again which group. Here's who specifically in that group

hears it and what does your Onyx say. So basically you're going to either be able

to trigger through certain words, and you're also going to be able to cause

certain messages to come out of your Onyx. Now that you've connected IFTTT,

let's go ahead and create a new applet to help you manage your life.

I'm going to use Google Calendar,

but I'm going to choose one of my Google calendars, and whenever an event starts,

15 minutes before that event, I'm going to create a trigger. I'm going to use

Orion as the action here. Now I'm going to send a voice message. That's all you

can do in terms of actions out of Orion, and you can pick the group, and you can

pick who hears it. So I can choose just myself, and then I can choose to add the

different ingredients. So I could add title, description, where it is starts, and

I could craft my message however I'd like. So this allows you to hear

notifications whenever a calendar event is coming up.

Now there's a large number of services. I'm going to choose the Environmental

Protection Agency right now, and I'm going to trigger on the latest news. I

could filter by keyword if I wanted to, filter by a storm, or a fire, or an

earthquake, or whatever, but we can use this service to actually trigger

notifications on to our Onyx device. So again I can choose Orion. I'll choose to

send a voice message. I can choose which group and who hears it, and I can add the

different ingredients. So here I would change it to essentially be the

environmental agency alert, and then I put the title, and then I'd say applies

to region, and then add that ingredient. So each time there's something put out

by the EPA, I'm going to get this notification. And again you

could filter this parameter. I think as more and more of our homes get

connected with different appliances, we're going to want more notifications

from our devices, to other devices. So I'm going to use a door left open from my

Samsung Fridge, and I could use that to actually trigger a notification on Onyx.

Of course I could trigger from any other service I wanted. Social media is a massive

component of lots of people's lives, and one thing that I think bugs a lot of

people, is when you're tagged in a photo, and you don't know about that. So you can

actually fire a trigger whenever you're tagged on a photo, and you can have that

output to your Orion device. So you'd be able to hear about it immediately, and

with every notification from IFTTT, you get a link on your phone.

So again, I could add all kinds of different ingredients. Who did it, the

caption, etc., etc.. Now something I like from eBay, you can actually set up a

trigger based on a search parameter. So you can enter in your search terms and

you can also set a maximum price, so this is allowing you to

scour eBay and get a trigger every time someone finds a Google Home for under

$100. What you can do is you can send that message to your Onyx device and you

can get all the information, so you are instantly going to find out when a new

item comes up for the Google Home, and you could set up multiple of these

triggers for multiple products. Then you could go instantly and buy it if it

was a good price. Let me show you what that looks like.

Now I've used this in terms of a business automation applet before, but you could

also use this at your home. If you did get a trigger from a device like from

your SmartThings, either a motion sensor, or your door opens, or a switch turns on

or off, you could actually fire a trigger and notify yourself through your Onyx

device. This would then be an alarm system essentially. Or you could just use it to

notify yourself that something is open, or something is in a state. This will

work with all kinds of sensors, and all kinds of systems. I happen to be using

Samsung SmartThings right now, but again you can trigger who hears it and you can

also customize what to say. Now finally I think one of the biggest things for

anybody is email. And Gmail is a great service. Again I've used this in previous

videos with the Onyx, but you could trigger, on any new email, you could

trigger on an email based on search, and if you wanted you could set any search

parameter. It could be from a specific person, and then you could actually

trigger Orion and your Onyx device to therefore read it out to you. So you can

add the entire body in here if you'd like. You could say new email from a

specific person, and then here's the subject, and now here's the body, and you

could read out that entire email if you'd like. So I think that's a ton of

personal automation. You can truly automate your life with these devices.

It's different than having say a Google Home or an Amazon Echo because you can

actually get these devices to read something out to you. Whereas

those other home automation hubs will not do that at this time. So this

actually sets the Onyx apart from most other home automation devices, and gives

you a lot of flexibility.

Bad News About Jerry Springer- Millions Of Fans At Loss For Words - Duration: 2:05.

Okay I am going to be honest here and will admit that i have watched several episodes

of one of the trashiest shows ever on television- "The Jerry Springer Show."

But that was 20 years ago or so- so I get a pass!

It looks like "The Jerry Springer Show" is coming to an end.

Multiple sources say that production has halted.

If you need your Jerry Springer fix you will be watching reruns

FOX News reports that NBC Universal's syndicated daytime talk show, which deals in more salacious

content than the typical daytime fare, has stopped production as its repeats move to

The CW in the fall.

According to Deadline, The CW struck a multi-year deal with the show that will allow it to broadcast

repeats.

If the network decides it's merited, it can greenlight production on new episodes

at any time.

However, it can just as easily stick with the back catalog of repeats and let "The

Jerry Springer Show" end here and now.

The move comes after "Springer" contemporaries "Maury" and "The Steve Wilkos Show"

were recently renewed.

Hosted by former politician Jerry Springer, the show has often been referred to as "trash

TV" and a "guilty pleasure" for its frequent use of outrageous guests and low-brow

storylines.

As The Hollywood Reporter notes, the show was at its peak in the late 90s and maintained

a comfortable audience in the early 2000s.

Those numbers have dipped as of late.

In 2009, "Springer" moved its production to Stamford, Connecticut where it pulled an

average of 1.7 million viewers.

This is no easy feat in a market that's dominated by shows hosted by more family-friendly

personalities like Ellen DeGeneres, Wendy Williams, Steve Harvey and Rachel Ray.

If "The Jerry Springer Show" ends up closing up shop for good following its move to The

CW, it will have run 28 seasons and an astonishing 3,800 episodes since its debut in 1991.

Frankly, I thought the dude was dead.

I am back with another crazy theory of mine.

I've already discussed Bran, Sansa, Arya and Dany's journey and predictions in my

previous videos.

So, Let's begin.

Varys was born as a slave in Lys.

He was apprenticed as an orphan to a troupe of mummers.

During their stay in Myr, a man offered a large sum of money for Varys and bought him

from his master.

The sorcerer gave him a potion to make him powerless to move or speak, yet did nothing

to dull his senses.

He cut off his manhood and threw it into the fire in a blood magic ritual.

The Flames turned blue and Varys heard a voice answer the sorcerer's call.

Varys still dreams about the voice he heard that night.

After the ritual, the sorcerer tossed Varys out.

When Varys asked him what he was supposed to do now, the sorcerer told him he should

die.

Instead, Varys resolved to live to spite the sorcerer.

He begged, he stole, he sold what parts of his body still remained to him and slowly

he became the best thief in Myr.

He was the prince of thieves in Myr, until a rival informed on him.

He left Myr and came to Pentos, one step ahead of the slavers.

By day he slept in the sewers, and by night he prowled the rooftops like a cat.

But in Pentos, his accent marked him, and once he was known for a eunuch he was despised

and beaten.

This could be the reason why he learned different disguises and accents in the books.

He chose Illyrio to protect him.

Illyrio was a poor sellsword at that time, living by his blade.

Together they came to an agreement.

Varys spied on lesser thieves and took their takings.

Illyrio offered his help to their victims, promising to recover their valuables for a

fee.

Slowly Varys and Illyrio were propular.

Soon every man who had suffered a loss, knew to come to Illyrio, whilst city's footpads

and cutpurses sought out Varys..

Half to slit his throat, the other half to sell him what they had stolen.

They both grew rich and richer still when Varys trained his little mice.

He preferred orphan boys and young girls.

He chose the smallest, the ones who were quick and quiet, and taught them to climb walls

and slip down chimneys.

He taught them to read as well.

His mice stole letters, ledgers, charts.. later, they would read them and leave them

where they lay.

"Secrets are worth more than silver or sapphires."

Varys used to claim.

While Ilyrio married the Prince of Pentos's cousin's maiden daughter, the word of Varys's

talents reached the ears of King Aerys.

According to Illyrio, he was a very anxious king, who did not wholly trust his son, nor

his wife, nor his hand, a friend of his youth who had grown arrogant and overproud, aka

Tywin Lannister.

In the books, Stannis says, "Ser Barristen once told me that the rot in Aerys's reign

begun with Varys.

He should have killed him and sent Jaime to the wall."

It was true.

When Varys was brought to court as a spymaster, Aerys's paranoia grew alongwith Varys's

influence.

Varys was quick to point out any traitors Aerys might have missed.

He used the crown's gold to create his spy network in Westeros aka his "Little Birds."

As I had mentioned in my "which suppoting character will sit on the Iron Throne video,"

it was Varys who had told Aerys that Rhaegar was using the attendance at the tourney at

Harrenhal as a pretext to rally lords to his cause in removing Aerys as king.

This caused Aerys to attend the tournament for the first time in four years.

During the tourney's opening ceremonies, Jaime was admitted into the order of the Kingsguard.

Although Jaime wanted to compete in the tourney the next day, Aerys commanded him to return

to King's Landing that night to guard queen Rhaella and Prince Viserys, so that he could

not compete in the tourney.

Maybe if Jaime had competed in this tourney and had won, Rhaegar wouldn't have crowned

Lyanna the queen of Love and Beauty that day.

Anyways, After the sack of King's Landing, Varys was pardoned by Robert Baratheon, and

continued to serve as the Master of Whisperers.

As I'd said in my supporting character video, what Varys had told Ned, about caring for

the realm and westeros didn't make any sense.

He was born in Lys, then moved to Myr and from there to Pentos before arriving at Westeros.

Why does he ONLY cares about who rules in Westeros?

In my "Varys's vision in the fire video," I said that the voice he heard in flames could

either be from R'hollor or the Great Other, and his actions might have been motivated

by the voice he heard.

In that video, I discussed that he might have been working on R'hollor's orders and

wanted to put the Prince that was Promised on the Iron Throne.

I also mentioned that Varys had the proper resources to make sure the scroll reached

into Rhaegar's hand, making him think that he or his son was the Prince that was promised.

But when I was making the Great Other video, another possibility came to my mind.

So I am here with another of my crazy theories.

What if he heard the Great Other's voice in the blue flames?

We all know that the blue flames come from the Whitewalkers.

Even Viserion's flames have turned blue.

Maybe Varys had a different goal all along?

But before we get to what that goal might be, I wanna give a shoutout to Sean Killackey's

comment, who said, "I like the way you weave Varys and the voice from the blue flames he

heard.

Couldn't it be that this voice is what you theorize and Varys is working on behalf of

someone or something all along from the time he lost his parts.

The perfumed Seneschal."

I completely agree that it's possible that this incident might have motivated Varys to

reach where he is today.

He seems hell-bent on putting a Targaryen on the Iron throne now but when a Targaryen

aka Aerys was on the throne, Varys seemed to be working against him by making him even

more paranoid than he already was.

Varys was the one who told Aerys that Rhaegar was planning to dethrone him.

If Varys's motive was just to put a Targaryen or a good ruler on the Iron Throne, he could

have supported Rhaegar and helped him dethrone Aerys.

But his motive was to sow discord between Aerys and Rhaegar.

Which means he wasn't really on the Targaryen's side.

Which should make him on Aerys's enemy aka Robert's side right?

But then, he was secretly planning to put Viserys, and then Dany on the Iron Throne.

He doesn't seem to be on anyone's side.

Why?

So here's my crazy theory.

What if Varys was working for the Great Other all along?

He told Tyrion that he didn't understand what the voice in the flames said.

He could have been lying or he could have found out later what it meant later.

If Varys had been working for him all along, it'd mean he was in Westeros because the

Great Other wanted him to be there.

You might ask why he would want Varys to be there?

What if his task was to make sure that no ruler stayed on the Iron Throne long enough,

or maybe to cause a distraction, when the Whitewalkers decide to attack westeros?

Westeros was weakened by war.

Thousands of soldiers died in the war of the five kings and then when Dany came to westeros.

Westeors would have been much stronger if the war hadn't killed so many people, and

westeros had been under one ruler.

I know, it was LF who started the war of the 5 kings but we know that Varys and Illyrio's

motive was starting a war too, only LF beat them to the punch.

Remember the scene where Arya overhears Varys and Illyrio talking?

They said it's happening too soon and wanted to delay the war.

I've said in my Dany's Journey & predictions video before that Varys and Illyrio knew where

Dany and Viserys had been all the time, but they ONLY took them in shortly before the

events of game of Thrones started.

Doesn't it seem suspicious that Varys and Illyrio helped Dany and Viserys and started

planning to invade westeros just before the Others have started killing the black brothers

beyond the wall?

It seems like Varys knew that they have made their move.

So he made his by taking Dany and Viserys in and by planning to start a war when the

Others will make their move.

Maybe that's why Quaith warned Dany to beware of the perfumed Seneschal?

Maybe Varys will betray Dany in the end?

I know this might not happen in the show, but do you think it's possible in the books?

I guess it's true in GOT too.

Also remember how Mirri killed Rhaego using bloodmagic to bring Drogo back, later Dany

killed Mirri using Bloodmagic to bring life to one of her dragons.
