Nicki Minaj went off on a critic who accused her of having hypocritical views on female

sexuality.

In her recent cover story for Elle magazine, the Queen rapper addressed one of her biggest

concerns as an artist who sells sex appeal.

She told writer Devin Gordon,

"I don't really know how to say that without being offensive Maybe I was naïve, but I

didn't realize how many girls were modern-day prostitutes.

Whether you're a stripper, or whether you're an Instagram girl—these girls are so beautiful

and they have so much to offer.

But I started finding out that you give them a couple thousand dollars, and you can have

sex with them […] It makes me sad as a woman.

And it makes me sad that maybe I've contributed to that in some way."

The rapper went on to admit that she has made a career out of selling a sexualized image.

"I don't know if I'm doing the same thing they're doing, because I'm selling

sex appeal.

So I can't look down on these girls.

I may not be having sex with people, but I'm still selling sex appeal […] I'm more

of, like, the snobby girl, like the 'Uh, what' type of girl.

And I want girls to be like that.

I'd rather you be called snobby or a bitch or conceited—I'd rather you be called

that than easy, and a ho, and a slut."

The comments immediately resulted in backlash, with many people accusing Nicki of slut-shaming

sex workers.

One particular Twitter user blasted the rapper for attempting to "police" what women

do with their bodies, and claimed her anti-promiscuity stance contradicted the themes of her music.

Nicki was quick to remind everyone that she doesn't suffer fools lightly on the internet

and pointed out that nuance exists and nothing is cut and dry and was even quicker to point

out her run of recent successes.

Hello fellow travelers!

We want to tell you today's plan because it has been a bit… weird… because there are a lot of plans in one.

The beginning was that we wanted to get to know Tabarca Island.

They told us it was beautiful and we were looking forward to visiting it.

Just if you don't know it, Tabarca is an island just opposite Alicante.

As we were going to visit Tabarca, we took advantage of the opportunity to have dinner in Monastrell restaurant

and try their rices. Besides, we had a birthday party, so… a perfect plan!

So, we let you get on with the video.

This is the door of Monastrell's restaurant.

It's the only restaurant in Alicante city with a Michelin star.

Its chef is María Jose San Román. Let's see if we could see her and ask her some questions.

The products that represent your cooking are the rice, saffron and the extra virgin olive oil.

Why did you choose these products?

Maybe because they are the products that represent Spain the best.

Olive oil is everywhere, we live in Levante, "Rice Land"…

and we colour the rice with saffron…

We have to say that we not only had a great dinner but also we drank 5 bottles of wine.

Not just the two of us! There were seven people!

What was the plate dish that you enjoyed the most?

Do you remember anything that you ate?

Without any doubt… black rice, yummy!

I would choose the one of rice with European smoked eel.

It was not eel!

Sorry, it was moray!

After so much food and wine, now it's time to go for a walk!

We are going to enjoy such good weather going to the island of Tabarca.

You can go from Santa Pola or Torrevieja, which are closer to the island.

It will take you just 50 minutes in these boats.

Behind us there is Tabarca island. They call it "the flat island" as you can see…

This island is populated since the 3rd Century.

In the 14th century these fortifications were built in order to keep the Berberisque pirates from settling here,

and from here they could attack the coast.

In order to maintain the island under control of the Crown and to settle a permanent population,

Carlos III brought 70 Ligur families who came from the Tabarka island in Tunisia.

These families had been enslaved by the King of Tunisia.

In Winter and Autumn there is a boat that comes every morning and leaves in the evening.

However, in summer, there are a lot of boats coming and going.

You will see that there are a lot of restaurants. Fish, rice, caldero… now you will see what we are going to eat…

Sandra, I see you are licking your lips… how is the red prawn of Santa Pola village?

The prawn is very nice, but, besides I ate a lot of prawn's heads…

yes, because the rest of our friends don't like them!

In Tabarca it is very common to eat "caldero".

It consists of two plates: first, fish with boiled potatoes.

The fish is locally called "gallina". And second, rice made with the fish…

Well Tabarca was really cool, right?

We didn't have such expectations about it. We thought it could be a very touristy place.

Do you remember the surprise I told you about, ok?

We took advantage of this trip to visit Villena. It's a village in the inland of Alicante.

It's very cool, it has a castle and the medieval quarter surrounded the castle.

What was in Villena that weekend? The Medieval Party!

Let's go to Villena!

The Medieval Party commemorates the arrival of the Catholic Kings in 1488.

The castle of the Atalaya is perhaps their most characteristic building.

It was built at the end of the 12th century.

There is a beautiful mixture between the Moorish and the Christian culture.

What we really recommend to you is to come to Villena during this party.

All the citizens reveal their love to their village dressing up as Medieval people,

and there are a lot of shops, local food, medieval music, activities for children…

The party is celebrated in the Rabal neighborhood.

In fact, it's very funny that this party is not paid for by the Mayor, but the neighbors of the Rabal.

We are waiting for the Torch parade to get to the castle.

Now, the trip is finished!

So, it was worth it to see the part of Villena, right? We truly recommend that you visit it!

We round up the latest Liverpool news and transfer rumours on Sunday, with the Reds linked with moves for two departing Watford players.

Reds to Move for Two Watford Stars?.

With the World Cup kicking off on Thursday, the Reds transfer activity has slowed down, with the likes of Alisson, Nabil Fekir and Xherdan Shaqiri all turning out in Russia.

Two players who arent at the tournament but have been linked with moves to Anfield, however, are Watford duo Abdoulaye Doucoure and Richarlison.

And according to the Mirror, the Hornets could look to sell the pair this summer as they capitalise on their impressive performances in 2017/18.

Doucoure was touted as a target for Jurgen Klopps side in February, and the following month claimed it would be a dream to join Liverpool—though he is said to be valued at £40 million.

Meanwhile, Brazilian forward Richarlison could also leave Vicarage Road, and has been mentioned as a possible signing too.

Leicester & Southampton Bid For Reds Target.

Another player mooted as a target for Klopp is Norwich City midfielder James Maddison, with the 21-year-old midfielder expected to depart Carrow Road this summer.

Maddison was on the Reds radar in 2015, prior to his move to East Anglia from Coventry, and was linked again in April, with the Canaries valuing him at £30 million.

If Liverpool are to approach Norwich, though, they made need to move fast, as the Guardian report that both Leicester City and Southampton have made bids for the youngster.

Both offers are below Maddisons rumoured price tag at around £20 million, but this may still tempt the Championship side to sell as they weigh up their options.

Everton and West Ham are also credited with an interest in Maddison, though perhaps tellingly there is no mention of Liverpool.

Paqueta Interest Claims Rubbished.

One player who is not a target for the Reds despite claims earlier this week is Flamengo attacking midfielder Lucas Paqueta.

Reports in Brazil had suggested Paqueta could make the move to Merseyside following the collapse of Liverpools pursuit of Fekir, but the Mirrors David Maddock has moved to quash speculation:.

Despite widespread reports in Brazil, @LFC have zero interest in Lucas Paqueta.

The 20 year old Brazil U20 international is being touted as an alternative to Fekir.

Liverpool say thats nonsense.

This comes as little surprise, with Paqueta not yet possessing the quality to serve as an alternative to Fekir, at just 20 and having made 41 senior appearances in his career.

The hope remains that a deal for Fekir can be revived, as despite reservations over his fitness following a medical earlier this month he is a proven, top-level talent who could elevate Klopps side further.

Alonso Sets Lofty Targets For 2018/19.

Despite suffering defeat in the Champions League final and failing to improve on a fourth-placed finish in the Premier League, Liverpools 2017/18 can be considered a success.

But for Xabi Alonso, Klopps side need to make a step forward this season if they are to fulfil their potential.

Speaking to LiverpoolFC.

com, the ex-Reds midfielder outlined his belief in how the Reds can develop further, and how Klopp should utilise the transfer market:.

The next step is not securing top four, it is challenging for the title and that's the big one that probably is the most difficult one.

We know Liverpool, they can beat anyone, but they need to find that consistency to be regular in the whole season.

We were close and we didn't make it—hopefully they can make it.

I think they need to not just have a 'short' team.

Not 14 players—you need to list 20, 22 players to be able to cope with so many games.

Each game, each point is so important so you need to have the whole squad connected, ready to perform at the highest level, but with the principles and the idea very clear.

That can't change from game to game.

For me the important thing is the team.

The team is already built.

After, for sure you need to bring new players, you need to add new, good things, but that doesn't disturb what they have already been doing..

Karius Incident Prompts England Concussion Alert.

Loris Karius concussion in the Champions League final has rightly opened up debate about the approach to head injuries in football.

Encouragingly, it has stressed the importance of a more sensitive stance, and ahead of Englands World Cup opener against Tunisia on Monday night, Gareth Southgates side are taking further precaution.

According to the Mail, the Three Lions will call upon an extra pitch-side doctor in Russia to avoid neglecting any possible concussions.

Dr Jonathan Hanson has access to TV clips and slow-motion replays, which is allowed under FIFA protocols, so team doctor Rob Chakraverty can be alerted to any possible concussion, Rob Draper reports.

Morocco winger Nordin Amrabat sustained a concussion in Fridays 1-0 defeat to Iran, and the 31-year-old will miss their clash with Portugal on Wednesday.

Trump's Policies Will Destroy American Coastal Cities - Duration: 4:04.

Recent reports have shown that the melting of ice in Antarctica has accelerated in just

the last five years, at a rate that scientists did not think it would hit probably for decades,

possibly even for a century.

Instead we've already hit it.

Now, these scientists are warning us that disaster is imminent here in the United States

and it's being made worse, we're basically guaranteeing ourselves a disaster, because

of the policies of Trump and the Republicans that are currently running this country.

They're warning us that coastal cities all around the United States, anywhere where there's

water going up against land, guess what?

You're at a major risk of absolutely losing those cities.

Not just seeing some water washing up, I'm talking about uninhabitable land in the United

States and all over the world really, but specifically they're warning here about the

US, because we're one of the few countries that just seems to be completely ass backwards

on the issue of climate change.

We actually have a President in the White House right now who at one point in his life,

just a couple of years ago, said that climate change was a hoax being perpetrated by the

Chinese.

We have sitting senators and members of the House of Representatives, who, even though

they have seen all of the science, or at least it's available to them, still say that it's

not real.

Or, if it is real, don't worry, God will protect us.

Or, if it is real, well that's great because we're going to open up all these new shipping

lanes in the Arctic.

Antarctica is melting, one trillion tons of ice lost, melted back into the ocean since

2012.

All that ice goes somewhere, right?

I mean, when you drop ice into a cup, the water rises.

It's no different when we're talking about the oceans.

Sea level rise is going to decimate cities all across the planet, and the United States

happens to be one of the few countries out there that wants to dig in the sand, bury

our heads in it, and pretend that it doesn't exist.

Now that is the official policy of both the Trump administration, the EPA, and the entire

Republican party.

Scientists are out there warning us on a daily basis, including this latest report, that

our coastal cities are about to die.

They're about to drown.

They will be uninhabitable, and guess what?

There's no coming back from that.

All because we refuse to take part with the rest of the world in things like the Paris

Climate Accord.

You know, setting renewal energy standard goals, working on renewable energy or, excuse

me, non fossil fuel cars.

I mean, hell, the EPA just said we're going to lower the miles per gallon required on

cars, so you can go back to driving those big gas guzzling SUVs.

We're literally moving backwards on the issue, while the rest of the world moves forward,

but it's not enough.

The Republicans have screwed this country.

Yes, and it was Republicans.

Go back and take a look at which side everybody's been on on the issue of climate change and

you're going to find a very clear divide amongst the two parties.

Republicans have doomed coastal cities here in the United States, and I hope that every

single person living in one of those coastal cities, or within 50 miles of it, which actually

happens to be the majority of the US population, I hope you remember that when you go to the

polls this November and every time you go to the polls.

One party consistently sided with the fossil fuel companies to bury climate science, to

pretend that it's not real, and to doom these cities.

While another party, though not perfect on the issue, at least try to do a little something

about it.
