THE Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL look set to boast these exciting features.
Pictures of the handset revealed a mysterious logo, which looks like a circular E and its
mirror image, on the back of the device.
It was in the same position that the Google 'G' usually appears.
So, what are the new features revealed by the Pixel 3 XL prototype?
Firstly, it looks like Active Edge will be making a return with the Pixel 3 and Pixel
3 XL.
Active Edge is a feature on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL which activates Google Assistant
when you squeeze the phone.
The second feature was discovered after XDA Developers took a closer look at the Android
P beta and found something surprising.
They discovered code for new wireless charging docks, which led them to believe wireless
charging will be making a return with the Pixel 3 and 3 XL.
Google previously championed wireless charging before dropping it in 2015 with the Nexus
6P.
These new features aren't the only Pixel 3 XL leaks that have emerged recently.
Last week Express.co.uk reported that the Pixel 3 XL could be one of the biggest smartphones
in the world.
This is a jump from the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL's screen size of 5inches and 6inches.
While this may not seem like a significant jump in size, it will result in two of the
world's largest smartphones.
Last year's 5inch Pixel 2 was longer, wider and thicker than Apple's 5.8inch iPhone
X.
This is because of the Pixel 2's generously sized top and bottom bezels.
And even though the 6inch Pixel 2 XL had reduced bezels, it was still as tall as the 6.2inch
Galaxy S9 Plus and wider.
So, increasing the size of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL's displays will only make these
devices even bigger.
If Google follow previous release schedules, then the new range of Pixel 3 phones could
be unveiled in October.
