IMPOSSIBLE CATALAN CHALLENGE *molt complicat* - Language Challenge (with subtitles) - Duration: 10:03.

before we start with the video tell me in the comments

from what part of catalonia, spain or the world you're watching this!

hello how're you, welcome to a new video (benvinguts in catalan)

today we're gonna do a catalan related video, we've alredy done galician and basque

you can watch them up here if you havent already

but before we take the test, lets learn a bit of this language, as i'm doing in the recent videos

let's learn some typical words and sayings first

first we have here a joke that is

(catala)

i dont know how to say 50

it is a fantastic joke, i guess that it's funny to catalan people

and if you're not catalan you'd be like me, but dont worry, on this video

we're gonna learn a lot of catalan (or we'll try)

if you dont know already I'm from galicia so the result of this video is unknown, but it's gonna be near the failure

(optimism quote)

the first word we're gonna learn today is toaster

it is a very useful word, in addition, if you want in catalonia some pan tumaca toasts...

you will need a torradora

the next word is xarxa, meaning net, i dont really know why i chose it but yeah, there you have it

and now we have a saying

meaning you're way above someone or something

and if failing a catalan test in front of 25k subs is not ridiculous enough

i'm gonna try a couple catalan tongue twisters...because yeah, i like it

i have no idea how to pronounce J, G or Z but i tried

not every head can fit what this head can

a lot of catalan failed tests, no doubt

now it is time to start the catalan test but first

if you're not subscribed, why?! why arent you subscribed when i'm teaching you useful words like torradora

or xarxa or sayings in catalan like, no m'arriba ni a la sola de mes sapates

i bet you did not know that before

let's start our catalan test then

there are 50 questions so we need to go really fast

(catala)

i think it's number 3, but im not teresa, im pedro

35 or however you say it

in french is huit i have no idea about catalan, but since there are a lot of words similar in those languages

we're gonna say then...

this test is gonna rate my catalan skills

but we all know that if we compare your catalan with mine, yours no m'arriba ni a la sole de mes sapates

your german

i like saps

why do you write things this strange

it is this one, number 2

i find a lot of dangers

trouver in french = find

i find a lot of dangers therefore i dont like traveling

en is also a french pronoun that's commonly used

i dont know where to take hints from, i'm trying to compare this to the little french i know and we'll see if i was good

feina= hunger

feina = work

before, avans , like avant in french

i was gonna say german

i dont know

youre gonna end up falling in the trap

if i pass this test i dont know

we throw a big big party, all my subs and i

going to the psychologist would be good for me

when i start working i will earn a lot of money

a lot of partner money

the test has been sent, you'll receive the results soon on your email

wait there were 50 questions why did this only last 19?

i was not counting on this, now we have to wait for a bit until we receive an email

the fact that there were 50 questions and i was only allowed to answer 19 i dont think its too good

maybe i failed every single one and they decided my level is the lowest possible

when the email arrives ill tell you

we just got the email, lets read it and see if we passed it or not

here's the results of the test you've just done

people from the Barcelona school will contact you

so you can go there and take the oral test

please do not contact me

i cant go and i dont think it's the best idea ever

you got 9 correct answers, which means you have the level A1

crap

i think A1 is the lowest so this is not good news guys

now you can see the incorrect answers

this is a disaster

but life is like this

you fail, you trip on a stone

then you learn from your mistakes and you never trip on the same stone again

we took a test, we failed it

what we learn?

dont ever take tests again of things you know nothing about or...you could have studied more

i also want to wish good luck to those of you who're taking

pre university tests on these dates

good luck from here

and this is the end of the video hopefully you liked it

tell me in the comments where are you watching the video,, in spain o the world

if you liked it give it a thumbs up, subscribe and see you soon with another, Adeu!

After Obama Ignored Their Loss For Years, Trump Just Did What Barack Refused To It's Emotional To Me - Duration: 6:02.

After Obama Ignored Their Loss For Years, Trump Just Did What Barack Refused To It's

Emotional To Me.

There are few things that tug at my heartstrings more than a Gold Star parent.

Ceejay Metcalf is the Gold Star dad of Pfc.

Michael Metcalf, who was killed in a roadside bomb attack in Afghanistan, on his first mission

en route to rescue fellow soldiers.

He appeared on Fox & Friends to tell how moved he was by President Trump's message, to

him during Monday evening's memorial reception at the White House.

Obama never even recognized his son's sacrifice, but President Trump certainly did.

President Trump shook Metcalf's hand and said, "Enjoy your evening, pops," at the

reception, a name his son would always refer to him as.

Another tiny detail that Trump cared enough to find out about.

Something you would never see Barack Obama do.

Not in a million years.

"It took everything I had to not have tears in my eyes over it," he said.

I can't imagine how much that meant to that father.

It eased the loss just a little bit and let him know that his son did not die for nothing,

and will always be remembered as the hero he is.

"In fact when I think about it, it's emotional to me," Metcalf said, fighting back tears.

How could it not be?

Having the Commander-in-Chief do such a thing would mean the world to any parent who has

lost a child in battle.

"It meant a lot to me."

Metcalf says that his son was a brave man and didn't fear the fight, when it came

to his service.

"He had a good heart and he loved to be there for somebody," he said.

He was a handsome, strong, young warrior who made the ultimate sacrifice so you, and I

can sleep peacefully and soundly at night knowing we are protected by men like him.

Michael Metcalf kept a hand-written note from his mother tucked inside his United States

Army uniform.

On April 22, 2012, he rushed to rescue his comrades in Patkia, Afghanistan, and drove

over a bomb.

"Well my wonderful son, the time is here for you to open your eyes & see what's really

happening in this crazy world!

I know you will be fine.

You are my "life" I love you more than anyone or anything ever!

I am always here for you.

Remember that.

Come home to me safe!!!"

The blast threw the 22 year-old soldier from Boynton Beach out of the truck, splintering

his ribs.

A main artery severed.

Doctors could not stop the bleeding.

He died on the battlefield where he fought.

Her son's blood stains nearly the entire letter.

Five years later, Metcalf's mother keeps the note protected in a plastic sleeve in

a trunk with her son's uniform and his boots, still discolored from the Afghanistan desert

dirt.

There's another letter one addressed to her that he never got the chance to send.

Kim Metcalf goes through that trunk lovingly touching the items that belonged to her son,

just remembering and in some way being with him.

Since her son's death, Kim has traveled across the country to meet with Michael's

friends, their families and other military moms who have lost sons.

She keeps her son's memory alive, but she's found that so does everyone else.

She receives messages on Facebook from people, who say they knew Michael.

His name is on memorials across the country.

"Michael, he won't be forgotten.

He really won't," she said.

Michael's team, the 82nd Airborne Division known as the White Devils, has been called

back to Afghanistan for the third time.

"He was tough he couldn't wait," Kim said.

"When they made the call to go rescue the truck… he was the first one to the truck,

saying "let's go, let's go."

If you've ever lost someone, you can relate to this mother.

Grief is a devastating thing.

Some never get over it.

Both of Michael's parents have learned to deal with it, and believe that their son is

still with them in ways hard to explain.

That faith is something you either have or you don't.

Here is the letter that Michael wrote his mom that he never got to send:

"Dear Mom,"

"It's Sunday here around 8:30 (morning for us) we're still at the bigger (field

operating base), so I have the luxury of the phone and computer.

It's crazy how much everyone takes things for granted (at) home."

"What I would do to just be able to buy a shampoo bottle without it being covered

in dust, it's whatever though."

"Last night we took indirect fire, nothing crazy, just one mortar round.

Everything is fine so don't stress it."

"Michael told his mom he couldn't wait to get home, especially to smell the scent

of clean clothes, and fresh air."

"I hope you and Matt are great and everything back home is still the same.

I miss you guys!"

"He told his mom to say hello to everyone, and that he misses them, too."

"I don't want any pictures or cards from home if that's ok, it makes me home sick."

"Anyway I love you! and miss you!"

"Love: Michael Metcalf"

One soldier like Metcalf, who was willing to risk it all for his country, is worth a

million liberals who are free to be jerks because of people like this young man.

Both Trump and Melania paid a heartfelt tribute to the Gold Star families on Monday night.

FLOTUS had this to tweet, "Tonight POTUS & I were honored to pay tribute to our fallen

heroes.

Thank you to the Gold Star families that joined us in celebration & remembrance."

This graceful observance and honor of our fallen in the military, has been missing for

eight years while Obama was in the White House.

President Trump brought it back and more.

The entire nation owes him a debt of gratitude for that.

Americans are starved for it.

Michael Metcalf will always be remembered, honored and loved.

Leadership Theory - Duration: 6:46.

LEADERSHIP ISN'T IN YOUR GENES - IT'S BASED ON BEHAVIORS.

HOW DO WE IDENTIFY AND CATEGORIZE THOSE BEHAVIORS?

WHEN IT COMES TO BEING IN CHARGE, ARE YOU MORE LIKE A ROGUE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE,

OR A HUMANISTIC DRAGON?

HI, I'M BRIE SHELDON, AND WELCOME TO LEADING WITH CLASS.

BEHAVIORAL THEORIES ARE A STEP TOWARD EXPLAINING HOW LEADERS DEVELOP,

RATHER THAN EXPECTING THEM TO POP FULLY FORMED FROM THE GROUND.

AUTOCRATIC AND DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP, AS WE DISCUSSED IN THE LAST EPISODE,

WERE FOUNDATIONS OF BEHAVIORAL THEORIES.

THESE IDEAS TRANSFORMED THROUGH STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OHIO TO FOCUS ON CONSIDERATION

AND INITIATING STRUCTURE.

CONSIDERATION IS ABOUT HOW MUCH THE LEADER CARES ABOUT THEIR SUBORDINATES.

IT CENTERS AROUND RESPECT AND ENGAGEMENT.

AN EXAMPLE OF CONSIDERATION WOULD BE HOW YOU PLAY IN A GAME OF DIALECT.

IN DIALECT, YOU BUILD AN ISOLATED SPEECH COMMUNITY AND RELATIONSHIPS,

AND WORK TOGETHER TO TELL THE STORY OF A DYING LANGUAGE.

IT INVOLVES A LOT OF PERSONAL INTERACTION AND TRUST.

AT THE START OF THE GAME, YOU DEFINE ASPECTS - ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS LIKE

"WHAT BROUGHT US TOGETHER?"

PLAYERS WORK TOGETHER TO GIVE ANSWERS, AND MUST DO SO WITH EACH OTHER IN MIND.

THIS CONTINUES THROUGH CREATING CHARACTERS AND BUILDING WORDS - IT'S A CREATIVE ACT,

BUT YOU DON'T TELL THE STORY OR MAKE THINGS UP WITHOUT ENSURING EVERYONE IS ON BOARD.

EACH PLAYER HAS TO MAKE A FINAL DECISION, BUT THEY DON'T DO IT IN A VACUUM.

THE STEPS IN A TURN ARE MAKE A CONNECTION, BUILD A WORD, AND HAVE A CONVERSATION

EVEN THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE MECHANICS ENCOURAGE COMMUNICATION AND CONSIDERATION.

INITIATING STRUCTURE IS INSTEAD TASK ORIENTED AND FOCUSES ON

DIRECTING TASKS AND GETTING WORK DONE.

LEADERS WHO ARE ON THE INITIATING STRUCTURE END OF THE CONTINUUM

OFTEN "RULE" RATHER THAN "GUIDE."

INITIATING STRUCTURE IS MUCH MORE LIKE THE GAME KINGDOM, WHOSE MECHANICS FOCUS ON DECISION

MAKING AND THE PROCESS OF THE STORY.

WHILE YOU STILL ENGAGE WITH EACH OTHER AND TELL GREAT STORIES,

YOU HAVE SPECIFIC STRUCTURAL ROLES AND POWERS.

THE ROLES ARE POWER, PERSPECTIVE, AND TOUCHSTONE.

THE PERSPECTIVE CAN FORESEE CONSEQUENCES OF DECISIONS, AND THE TOUCHSTONE DESCRIBES HOW

THE PEOPLE IN THE FICTION FEEL.

IN THE ROLE OF THE POWER, YOU ACT AS THE LEADER,

AND CAN USE AUTHORITY TO AFFECT CHARACTERS IN THE GAME.

YOU EVEN HAVE THE OPTION TO USE THREATS AND REWARDS TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN.

THE STRUCTURE, COMBINED WITH THE OVERARCHING STRUGGLE FOR POWER -

WHERE YOU CAN CHALLENGE AND OVERTHROW OTHER ROLES TO TAKE CONTROL-

SUITS THE TASK ORIENTATION AND AUTHORITY IN INITIATING STRUCTURE.

LEADERSHIP GRID THEORY IS RELATED, AND GIVES US A WAY TO VISUALIZE THOSE CONCEPTS.

IT USES A GRID TO IDENTIFY DIFFERENT LEADERSHIP STYLES.

THE FIRST AXIS OF THE GRID IS "PEOPLE ORIENTED,"

WHICH REPRESENTS LEADERS' FOCUS ON SUBORDINATES' WELLBEING.

THE SECOND AXIS IS "RESULTS ORIENTED," WHICH IS HOW FOCUSED A LEADER IS ON RESULTS

- PRODUCTION AND DEADLINES.

YOU CAN BE FULLY BOTH OR FULLY NEITHER, BUT

MOST PEOPLE LIE SOMEWHERE ELSE AROUND THE GRID.

DEUS, THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WHO CAUSED THE DEVASTATING RENRAKU ARCOLOGY SHUTDOWN

IN SHADOWRUN, IS AN EXAMPLE OF AN EXTREME ON THE GRID.

HE IS HIGH RESULTS ORIENTED, AND LOW PEOPLE ORIENTED, SO HE WOULD BE PLACED ON THE GRID

AT NINE, ONE.

DEUS EVEN EXPERIMENTED ON PEOPLE IN AN EFFORT TO PROTECT HIMSELF AND SPREAD HIS INFLUENCE,

DEVELOPING WHOLE NEW TECHNOLOGIES ALONG THE WAY.

IN SHADOWRUN, THE GREAT DRAGON HESTABY PRIORITIZED MODERNIZATION OF DRAGON SOCIETY,

BUT NOT WITH ENTIRELY ALTRUISTIC MOTIVATIONS.

SHE DELEGATED TASKS AND CARED ABOUT RESULTS, BUT NOT ENOUGH TO BE CONTROLLING

(BEYOND FINANCIAL REWARD).

THROUGH THE EVENTS OF THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST CAMPAIGN, SHE TRUSTED HER SUBORDINATES

TO ACCOMPLISH VERY IMPORTANT TASKS USING WHICHEVER METHODS THEY CHOSE.

I CONSIDER HER MIDDLE-OF-THE-GRID AT FIVE, FIVE - SOMEWHAT FOCUSED ON PEOPLE, SOMEWHAT

FOCUSED ON RESULTS, ALL DRAGON.

ANOTHER APPROACH TO LEADERSHIP IS THROUGH CONTINGENCY THEORIES.

CONTINGENCY LEADERSHIP THEORIES STATE THAT THERE'S NO ONE WAY TO BE A LEADER,

AND SOMETIMES LEADERSHIP STYLES OF ONE KIND MIGHT NOT WORK, BUT ANOTHER WILL.

CONTINGENCY LEADERSHIP THEORIES SHOW THAT THERE ARE SITUATIONAL FACTORS

THAT CAN MAKE LEADERS LESS SUCCESSFUL.

WE ALL EXPERIENCE STRESS, STRAINED RELATIONSHIPS, AND HIGH EXPECTATIONS.

WE CAN MAKE THESE WORSE BY USING THE WRONG TOOLS - LIKE TRYING TO ROLL FOUR SIDED DICE

IN PLACE OF SIX SIDED DICE IN A GAME LIKE SHADOWRUN.

SUCCESS IS SUDDENLY LESS PROBABLE.

THE NEED TO ADAPT TO MULTIPLE SITUATIONS IS WHY RESEARCHERS CAME UP WITH

SITUATIONAL LEADERSHIP.

SITUATIONAL LEADERSHIP RECOGNIZES A LEADER'S ABILITY TO CHANGE THEIR ACTIONS AND BEHAVIORS

BASED ON WHAT'S HAPPENING.

IN MANY GAMES WE HAVE DEFINED CLASSES AND ROLES, BUT IN SHADOWRUN, THERE ARE NO CLASSES.

YOU HAVE SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, AND EQUIPMENT, AND MAY HAVE

POWERS FROM CYBERWARE, MAGIC, AND METAHUMANITY.

IT SOUNDS LIKE A LOT, AND IT CAN BE, BUT IT GIVES YOU A WIDE VARIETY OF WAYS TO DEAL WITH

A GIVEN SITUATION!

SAY YOU'RE A STRONG TROLL WHO HAS A PERKY VOICE MODULATOR TO WORK YOUR DAY JOB AS A

BILL COLLECTOR, BUT IN THE EVENINGS YOU BREAK KNEES TO COLLECT OTHER BILLS.

TWO VERY DIFFERENT SKILLSETS, AND TWO VERY DIFFERENT SITUATIONS.

AND IF ANOTHER SITUATION COMES UP - LIKE MAYBE YOU NEED TO TALK SOMEBODY DOWN BEFORE A FIGHT

GOES TOO FAR - YOU'VE GOT OPTIONS.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO RESORT TO THE SAME METHOD OF SOLVING PROBLEMS EVERY TIME.

SITUATIONS OFTEN DEMAND DIFFERENT STYLES.

THAT'S WHY SITUATIONAL LEADERSHIP IS A STYLE I FAVOR.

IN THE NEXT EPISODE, WE'LL START TALKING ABOUT YOU AS A LEADER: WHAT'S YOUR STYLE?

HOW DO YOU APPROACH LEADERSHIP?

I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO LEARNING MORE ABOUT YOU!

LOOK IN THE DESCRIPTION BELOW OR ON OUR PATREON POST FOR LINKS TO THE SOURCES FOR OUR DEFINITIONS

AND EXAMPLES, AND FOR AN EXERCISE ON LEADERSHIP THEORY.

I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT AND THAT YOU'LL SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!

How To Create A Youtube Channel - Duration: 3:14.

Alright, welcome back my friends. I'm Kris Krohn, Grant Thompson. And today we are

setting up your YouTube channel. Welcome to day 2, boom! Alright guys, we want to

keep it really simple for you today. We are literally just going to set up a

YouTube channel, we're not going to do anything else we're just going to set it

up from scratch. All you need is a Gmail account and if you don't already have

one, just go to gmail.com You should see a little button that says

create an account, go ahead and click on that. Then you're just going to enter all

your information. Your first name, your last name, what you want your username to

be at Gmail.com. So, if you already know the brand of the business or the type of

business you're going to be doing, this is a good opportunity to see if that username

is available. Chances are, it won't be. There's millions of people who have used

these things. So you have to play around and find something that

works. Put in your password, confirm your password and then hit next.

Alright, so Grant now assuming they have their gmail account set up, now how do

they actually log in and really create a YouTube account? Now, because security and

privacy is important, Google's going to want to verify that it's a real person

setting up this account and not just a bot. They don't want people just spamming

YouTube accounts. So, it'll probably ask you for your phone number so you can

enter your phone number and they'll send you a text message with the confirmation

code to get you set up.

There we go. You should get a text message.

Once you get the confirmation code and entered it's going to take you to page

where you can set up a recovery email. So if for some reason you get locked out of

your YouTube account or your Gmail account, you can use another account to

kind of get the password. Just go ahead and fill out your birthday with the

month/day/year. Select your gender and then hit next.

Read through the privacy and terms if that's the kind of person that you are

and then go ahead and hit I agree. And congratulations!

Welcome to Gmail. You have an account. You have the one thing that you got to have

if you want to set up a YouTube account. And now, if you've just done this you'll

automatically be logged in to your gmail account already. Now, look how easy it is

to set YouTube channel.Open a new tab. Go to youtube.com and if you look up on the

very top right-hand side you're going to see a little circle icon with a rough

image of a person in it. Click on that. You're going to see a drop-down menu on the

very top line is going to say my channel. You want to click on that and now it's

actually asking you to set up your channel because you don't have one yet.

So what do you want to use YouTube as? What's your name going to be?What's the

name of your brand? What's the name of your mission or we could even use your

own personal name. Let's just say in this example that we're actually going to use

your personal name of John Smith and we're going to use that to create the

channel. So we click the button. Create channel, it works on it and boom! just

like that. Your channel is created. It wasn't so hard was it?

No that was actually really easy. Was actually more about setting up a gmail

account then I guess once you got that setting up, YouTube is that simple. Now,

you probably will want to copy and paste the URL for your channel just for even

easy reference. Paste that into a notepad or have it somewhere because you know

there's a chance down the road. You might not remember where your channel is or if

you want to share it with somebody, you're going to want to give them the link.

So copy that URL but anytime you want to get back into your channel, go back to

youtube.com and just click my channel and it'll bring you back into it. So

here's your homework assignment. Get your channel set up. Get it out the door. You

see how simple it is. Make that happen because when you join us tomorrow, we're

going to actually go ahead and add banners, we're going to pretty it up and we're going to

show you how to really make it look like a channel.

Coping with Anxiety and Depression During Pregnancy - Duration: 3:20.

Today, we're talking about perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. We usually think

of pregnancy and the time when we bring the baby home as a really happy time and it

is for most women, but for about one in five women this is a time that's really

challenging because they are starting to experience symptoms of depression or

symptoms of anxiety. It's important to recognize that this does not mean that

you're a bad mom, but in fact, this is one of the number-one complications of

pregnancy and happens to a lot of women. For depression, it's usually something

that is experienced as sadness that lasts for days not just for brief

moments in time. Also, you can experience feeling things that usually are joyful

are no longer joyful. You don't enjoy doing the things you normally like doing.

You might have trouble sleeping. You might not have any appetite and you

might experience profound fatigue. The great news is that we have really good

treatments for depression both during pregnancy and after that include

talking to a therapist or a counselor and talking to your obstetrician who can

provide medicine if that's what's best for you and your baby. About the same

number of women also experience anxiety. That can mean excessive worry,

worrying about everything under the sun, or it could be very specific fears that

you have like fears of harm coming to your baby which happen to a lot of

women. Anxiety can be really debilitating for some women and can even

include symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Those include obsessions

which are recurrent thoughts that you can't get out of your head,

things like fearing germs or fearing that you're going to be contaminated if

you touch things. Those are often followed by

behaviors that we call compulsions that you do to try to make those fears go

away so for some people that's washing their hands excessively or cleaning the

house over and over again. While a lot of people experience anxiety normally, when

it gets to really interfere with your daily life, it's something that you

should seek help for. Now a lot of women that I talk to who have been

experiencing symptoms of depression or symptoms of anxiety tell me that they

actually started during their pregnancy but they didn't feel comfortable telling

anybody. What we really want to let people know is that these are very

common and it doesn't mean that you're losing your mind. It just means that

physiologically something is happening in your body that happens to a lot of

pregnant women or women after they have a baby and that is causing your brain to

not function the way it does normally, so we would encourage everyone who is

experiencing these symptoms to talk to your family about it. Talk to your doctor

about it and to feel comfortable getting help because the good news is that when

women do get help for these symptoms, not only do they feel better, they tell me

that they also interact with their babies in a much more enjoyable way.

We know that that helps the infants develop better over time.

Joins in Tableau: Choose the correct join type - Duration: 5:17.

As usual, the first thing we need to do when starting a new project is load our data.

Our two source files are "Audiobook reviews" and "Audiobook sales".

Let's connect them to Tableau.

Here's the "Audiobook reviews" file.

In the same folder we also have the "Audiobook sales" file.

We'll need both, so I'll click on "Add" and will load the other file too.

In order to be able to use the information of both tables at the same time, we'll have

to combine them somehow.

What we want to obtain is a unique table containing information about all transactions for all

audiobooks, and the respective reviews left by clients whenever they chose to do so.

The Transaction ID column is the perfect link between the two files, as it is available

in both and could serve as a common field based on which we could link the two tables

together.

So, one of the main aspects we'll explore in this lesson is how to create a connection

between two tables in Tableau.

Please remember that we will distinguish the terms 'data connection' and 'table connection'.

'Table connection' is performed by functionalities like joining or blending.

It refers to combining data from two or more data sources.

'Data connection', instead, represents a single data source connection between Tableau

and a data source, such as an Excel Workbook or an SQL database.

When we imported the second file, Tableau did some work for us in the background and

created a connection between the two files.

The symbol you see here is an indication we've created an inner join.

Technically speaking, when creating a join, Tableau sends a query to the database.

The join is implemented on the relevant tables at the database level, and the output of the

operation is brought back to Tableau, where it is ready to be used for analysis.

An inner join means that the two tables we've added have a field in common, and we can combine

them using that field.

Let me hover my mouse over the symbol.

Tableau indicates that it has created an inner join using the parameter "audiobook name".

We don't want that.

We want to link the two tables according to the Transaction ID parameter, as our analysis

will be focused on user sales and reviews.

So, I'll click on the inner join symbol, which will open the Join menu.

First off, let me substitute the field we use in order to create a connection between

the two tables.

I would like to create a connection using the Transaction ID field.

And here we are.

Here's a preview of the table we created through an inner join and Transaction ID as

the primary key.

As shown in the diagram, when we create an inner join between the two tables we consider

their intersection – the situation where the primary key is found in both tables.

To give you an example, if a person who has a given Transaction ID purchased a course,

but did not leave a review, then they won't be included in this table.

An inner join would require users to have purchased a course, to have left a rating,

and both the date of purchase and the date when the rating was posted to be known.

Basically, it contains only the rows in which we have a Transaction ID, a date of purchase,

a date of review, a review rating, and information regarding which was the audiobook that was

purchased and rated.

For example, all the cases when a person bought an audiobook, but did not rate it are not

considered.

Do you think this information is important?

Do we want to be able to understand how reviews impacted sales, and whether we can see a pattern

in total purchases with respect to reviews?

Of course, we'll need this information.

And if we use an inner join, we are not going to have it.

Therefore, we'll need a different type of join.

One that includes the information about purchases and people who did not rate an audiobook.

So, looking at the tiny diagram we have here, I am going to select a left join (given that

the audiobook sales file is on the left side).

We want to have a table that contains information regarding audiobook purchases (all of the

audiobook purchases), and the cases when people who bought these books provided a rating.

And a left join is more suitable than an inner join in this case.

Ok.

Great!

In our next lesson, we'll make a check and see whether the data we've connected to

Tableau is correct.

This will do for now.

Thanks for watching!

How to Add or Edit Closed Captions/Subtitles on YouTube Videos? - Duration: 11:09.

hi everyone Michael Lanfield here thank you for joining me

today's video is on adding subtitles or closed captioning as they sometimes are

called so the idea is that majority of your videos if you have a good quality

microphone or decent microphone and there's no like outside noise or wind or

anything like that automatically YouTube will set automatic closed captioning for

your language specifically English but for some videos there won't be automatic

closed captioning and a lot of times YouTube will not add the caption in

geography you actually have to add it yourself so what I mean by this is let's

go to one of these videos so I'm gonna just open these videos in a different

window or a different table so open a new tab and I'm loading this one video

that doesn't have closed captioning so closed captioning or subtitles is

basically when you talk or there's some narrator or something somebody and

there's like word displayed at the bottom of what that person is saying so

this one video for example monetizing my videos and earn money you can actually

add subtitles so for most videos you'll have automatic subtitle if the again if

YouTube can detect the subtitles okay the the voice or the audio so here you

can see that it's published English automatic so let's go to the actual

video and see if it's actually published automatically so the automatic

before it loads the automatic I'm just gonna close this yeah the automatic

closed captioning is very good actually it's like probably 85 to 90 percent or

more accurate so if you pronounce your words accurately it should come out very

good now in certain cases I just want to stop this video so in certain cases

there might be a few words that are out of place that are not spelt correctly

there will also be a lot of like periods and a lot of commas and a lot of things

like that that are not implemented so everything will seem as if it is one

line and sometimes you'll find that some words go on to the next the next you

know subtitle when you want it to be on the same one so for example if I say

something like this and then I start off again a new sentence they might add in

some of the words from the last sentence to this one so if you're talking very

fast and you don't add like like even a second break in between sentences you'll

find sometimes that it'll be like one sentence but in overall the automatic

English closed captioning system that YouTube implements is very good and

actually a majority of the time I just keep it like that and if anybody wants

to anybody can edit your anybody can edit your closed captioning so if

there's an error and they and somebody can actually edit that closed

captioning I'm not sure how it's done but I've added that to my creator studio

so in creator studio you can actually add who transcribes and your videos and

I've actually added it to the system already that people can do it

automatically and so it's automatically that they can add or edit subtitles and

closed captioning but of course it has to be approved by me so let's see how we

do this is very easy so let's say you have automatic English okay

and it says published now as you can see here there's no button here to click

there because there's supposed to be a button beside the settings to click to

actually view the closed captioning so if I go to subtitles and CC there's

nothing here add subtitles and off this is strange

but it says here published so I tried to figure that out like why is happening

but I don't know but let's go to the by clicking here let's go to the automatic

English and as you can see here is my

transcribe or the automatic subtitles and closed captioning so as you can see

here I'm just gonna stop this from playing so as you can see from 8 seconds

my name Michael land field it's jumps to the other you know screen and it's

Enfield it's not land field so baby you don't know how to pronounce my name or

how to spell it so I have to

give them help so I'm just gonna change is one thing because everything else I'm

pretty satisfied with so lanfield okay this one this name my name can be

in capital and then I just say publish edits and that way now it's published

okay and it's publishing okay

so let's go back to this video in hard refresh or ctrl f5 and let's check this

video and you can see there is closed captioning this little button right here

as you can see you go to the settings it will automatically go they will

automatically be selected and as you can see here subtitles CC 1 so English okay

so there so I'm pretty satisfied so let's listen and see how it actually

looks okay so you get a feeling of how it actually looks so for some reason

it's not starting so let's refresh this again so going a little bit slow today

I'm just gonna close the one tab because the more tabs and more windows you have

the more programs you have open the slower it is so let's see how this goes

so as for some reason it's not working here I don't know why

you just do a regular refresh

still not working but as you can see here see I'm here sometimes they add

double words so cycling cycling hmm but you can fix that if you want so I don't

know what's happening but anyways that's about it for this tutorial it's pretty

simple to edit and to add subtitles and I know maybe you're thinking like oh so

much time to add these but Google YouTube does it for you the automatic

one and then you just like fix a little bit you fix it a little bit and that's

it and they're pretty decent like I would say eighty-five ninety percent

accurate so that's about it thanks for watching I'll see you soon
