Youtube daily Jun 8 2018

Not that long ago I did a video on some simple root apps you could use to improve performance

on PUBG mobile for Android while mentioning that the configuration files are encrypted

to prevent people like me from finding ways of dropping the graphics any further.

Ever since then it seems the fascination that pc gaming community has with modding game

graphics has actually extended to pubg, as different tools have been developed to figure

out the configuration files and now we even have apps that include some rather magical

presets for the game with very interesting results and no root needed.

So, thank you to all of you who emailed or message me about some of this apps.

For everyone else… welcome to the LowSpecGamer: a channel dedicated to lowering game graphics

to the minimum and getting the best out of low end device.

Let's take a look at a couple of options you have for getting this game working on a weaker

or older phone.

For the purposes of this experiment, I will be using a GPD XD android console which I

reviewed on this video on the corner.

It is starting to show its age for very intense Android games.

And since I hate playing PUBG on a touch screen it has a functionality that allows me to map

the controller to the touch screen.

Neat!

The main app most of you have been emailing me about is graphics tool for battlegrounds

which has a fair amount of options.

It not only has graphical presets, but also options for shadows, anti-aliasing and resolution.

Resolution will not be of great help, since the game already seems to be using 960x540

on thr lowers settings and if you change shadows or antialiasing it seems to overwrite the

graphical preset, so I will ignore that and go for the lowest preset.

You can also remove the FPS limiter if your phone is still not supported for 60 fps.

Now a more updated quick no-fuss solution is the HD graphics tool,

an ad-supported app with just 3 quick presets for the game.

All that you need is to pick a preset, of which I will be picking the lowest one.

This also removes the FPS limit.

If you are looking for the easiest one-click solution... this is it.

Also while this video was being worked on the app updated and added an advance mode that you can use if you want better control

However, I will stick to the lowest premade preset from before.

The effect generated by any of the two apps was very interesting.

It reminds me of what you could do on the older versions of PC pubg.

A quick direct comparison of ingame footage makes it very clear how the quality of things

like textures have been dramatically reduced.

The insides of the houses are particularly interesting to look at.

I love it.

Now, this makes me wish every mobile game had configuration files to play around with!

In terms of performance it was not perfect but maintained itself close enough to 30 fps

to be comfortable and rather enjoyable.

Another options that you might be considering is doing the complete reversal… if Android

PUBG is better optimized than PC PUBG… why not play with PUBG Mobile… on PC?

For that experiment I picked a test setup using this dual core Intel Pentium with its

integrated IntelHD and 4 GB of single channel RAM.

Since we are essentially emulating an Android device for this purposes the CPU is going

to be the strongest issue here.

My initial attempt was with an Android emulator called NOX… which did not perform well on

this setup and none of my attempts at improving it bore any fruit.

BlueStacks, another popular Android game emulator not only did not perform well but has graphical

glitches that I could not fix, even tough I tried many of the fixes out there.

Unsurprisingly the one that worked well was Tencent Game Budy, an emulator made by the

same Chinese giant company that developed mobile PUBG.

It is a quick no fuss way of launching the game with already pre mapped keyboard and

mouse controls.

In my test setup I saw somewhere between 25 and 30 fps, which is pretty acceptable considering

that this setup is not able to run regular PC pubg in any way so… that is not a bad

substitute.

It is just a damn shame you can not access the configuration files to reduce the graphics

further on this emulator.

Mobile PUBG is a bit more streamlined and simplified compare to the PC version but still

offers a complete free to play experience, so if you are going to give it a try, this

is the emulator I recommend.

It is trully amazing how emulator technology has advanced, and how can an entry level CPU

simulate a phone to this well

If you are like me, you probably wonder all the time how this works, how do computers

work, how does memory work…

Well, if you are the curios kind but regular education makes asleep you

could try Brilliant.

Stay with me here because this is really cool: this a website that teaches you stuff by solving

problems in a visually interactive matter.

It has courses on computer science stuff like memory management to like a computer algorithms

that are actually fun to learn with.

It's better than good, I will get as far as to say it is…

Brilliant.

Ah?

Aaaah?

Ok I will stop.

Trump Is Running Out Of Allies And Time In Mueller Probe - Duration: 4:10.

Earlier this week, Donald Trump proudly proclaimed on Twitter that he has the absolute authority

to pardon himself, but he doesn't need to because he totally didn't do anything wrong

whatsoever.

In the day since Donald Trump made that announcement, he has lost so many allies in both the House

and the Senate that I don't know how this man is going to survive the results of the

Mueller investigation.

Here are the people who just this week came out and either outright disagreed with the

president on whether or not he can pardon himself, or they refused to answer claiming

they didn't know.

Bottom line is they didn't defend what he had to say.

Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Senator Thom Tillis, Pat Toomey, Richard Shelby, Lindsay Graham,

John Thune ... Who else is there?

Oh, Richard Burr is also on the list.

Then, that's not even counting the people who've also come out and said, oh and by the

way Donald Trump is 100% wrong about that spy in his campaign.

Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Trey Gowdy, Marco Rubio, again.

Ted Cruz also weighed in on the pardon matter, and after 18 seconds of silence said, "I don't

know.

I haven't looked into that."

For the record, he actually wrote a paper on presidential pardon power back in 2015,

so he knows all about it he just didn't want to defend the president.

That's the point we're at right now.

Donald Trump is losing allies at an alarming rate for him that he needs in order to survive

whatever is going to come out of the Mueller investigation.

I mean at this point the president has people like Matt Gates and Devin Nunes who are willing

to go out there and repeat his absurd lies about a spy in his campaign, and that's about

it.

You don't have many other friends.

More importantly, you don't have very much time to make any new ones.

I know these Republicans are still willing to go out there and defend your policies,

but they can get the same policies out of a guy like Mike Pence, a guy that's not going

to embarrass the Republican party on a daily basis, a guy that's not going to insult them

when they disagree with him.

They would much rather have Mike Pence as president of the United States than they would

Donald Trump.

I think that's becoming more and more evident when we have so many people who are now refusing

to defend the actions, and the words, and the claims made by the president.

These are people who were some of his strongest allies.

I mean Paul Ryan coming out and saying that no there was no spy in the campaign at all.

This is a guy who until now had done his best to not weigh in whatsoever about the Mueller

investigation, about the spying claims, or about any of the other stupid things Donald

Trump has said since becoming president.

He's not staying silent anymore.

These people ... Excuse me ... Donald Trump needs these people to carry his message because

if they're not willing to do it, if it's up to people like Matt Gates and Devin Nunes,

and the folks over at Fox News, that's not going to be enough to save him when we finally

get the results of this Mueller investigation, or the Summer Zervos lawsuit, or the emoluments

clause lawsuit, or the Michael Cohen investigation, or the IRS and FBI and New York City investigations

into other members of the Trump family.

You need friends right now Donald Trump, and you have done a phenomenal job of alienating

the very people that can save you.

Trump Released List Of Every U.S. Town Obama SENT Certain 'Refugees' To – Is Your's On The List? - Duration: 6:01.

Trump Released List Of Every U.S. Town Obama SENT Certain 'Refugees' To – Is Your's

On The List?

Former President Barack Obama kicked the refugee resettlement program into high gear while

he was in office.

Syria became a gateway for Islamic refugees not just from the war-torn state, but from

around the world.

Mostly Islamic refugees were shipped off across the planet to different countries.

Everyone has heard of the refugee crisis in Europe and the toll it has taken, but it may

surprise you to what extent Obama brought Islamic refugees into the United States and

resettled them.

Most of the time, people in these cities didn't even realize that they were now home to these

refugees.

The resettlement of unvetted refugees puts our national security at huge risk.

There is no way to background check most of these people.

There is an excellent chance that terrorists and radicals are being brought in to live

among us.

Since President Trump has come into office, this has slowed greatly, although it has not

fully stopped.

Most of the refugees are men who are alone, with no family accompanying them.

Ask yourself why that would be.

They claim to be fleeing ISIS and persecution in their various nations, but a new survey

found that 1 in 4 refugees either sympathize with ISIS or have a mixed or lukewarm view

of the terror group.

Most support an Islamic Caliphate and Shariah law.

One Syrian operative has claimed that more than 4,000 covert ISIS radicals have already

gained entry into western nations.

They hide among innocent refugees and there is no way to know who is who until it is too

late.

These lethal ISIS Jihadists use local smugglers to blend in and travel among a huge tide of

illegal migrants flooding Europe.

In the US, they were actually invited in by Obama and his cohorts.

The FBI has already freely admitted that they have no way to vet these refugees.

Michael Steinback, executive assistant director of the FBI's National Security Branch, told

the House committee, "We don't have it under control.

If I were to say that we had it under control, then I would say I know of every single individual

traveling.

I don't.

And I don't know every person there and I don't know everyone coming back.

So it's not even close to being under control."

The flood of Islamic refugees brings a huge spike in crime as well.

Specifically, r-pe and theft.

Just ask Sweden, where 80 percent of r-pe cases are perpetrated by "foreigners."

We are talking thousands of r-pes a year in Sweden.

Obama increased the number of migrants being brought to the U.S by 10,000 a year, so it's

important to know where they are now and if it is a town near you.

President Trump's Department of State has a list that shows where all the processing

centers for these refugees are located.

Is your town on this list?

Either way, you should share this with family and friends.

They should know what they are possibly facing.

Kim Kardashian Just Made Nasty Statement About Trump After He Honored Her Plea To Pardon Woman - Duration: 4:35.

This week, President Trump commuted the sentence of a woman who was serving a life sentence

for a drug-related charge.

The sudden turn of events for Alice Marie Johnson who had served 21 years of her life

sentence had come after getting some unexpected help from socialite Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian had the honor to meet with the president in the Oval Office on May 30 and

plead her case for Johnson to be sent free for her non-violent crime.

Kardashian has been a long time advocated for Johnson and despite it seeming like an

unlikely fight the socialite would get involved with.

Days after her conversation with Trump, he granted her wish and awarded Johnson with

freedom, sparing her spending the rest of her life behind bars.

Hours after getting the good news, Kardashian responded to the presidential favor with what

she publicly said about Trump.

Yesterday Kim K was interviewed by CNN, what she said about her relationship with Trump

has people talking.

This admission also comes on the heels of her husband, well-known rapper Kanye West,

coming out as a Trump-supporter and being attacked for it by everyone in Hollywood.

West has been a huge influence in swaying the way black communities feel about the president,

but now we know how his wife really feels.

Kardashian wants everyone to know that just because Trump helped her, she's no pawn

for him.

While she didn't specifically express her support for him, she did deny CNN's claim

that he "used" her.

Since he helped her, she should have spoken his praises, especially since he really did

listen to her about Johnson and agreed it was deserved.

He didn't do it for Kardashian because of who she is, but because of the factual reasons

she gave.

Trump also didn't commute the sentence for attention, he did it because it was the right

thing to do.

We just wish that Kim had taken the opportunity to say these things in the interview as it

would have made a big difference in Hollywood's skewed perception of the president.

Fox News reports:

Kim Kardashian denied Thursday that she was being used as a White House pawn after she

helped a great-grandmother get clemency from President Trump over nonviolent drug charges.

Kardashian shot down criticism in an interview on CNN.

Kardashian campaigned on the behalf of Alice Marie Johnson.

"I think Kanye's already given him legitimacy in that way," Kardashian said referring

to the comments her husband and Trump have made about each other.

"I was working on this before.

I don't think I would be used.

At the end of the day, he heard me out.

We got the job done.

What could he really use me for?"

Trump commuted Johnson's life sentence on Wednesday, following Kardashian's high-profile

campaign.

Johnson, 63, was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole after being convicted

of a first-time nonviolent drug offense.

"Justice has been served today, and it's long overdue.

Alice has more than paid her debt to society by serving over 21 years of a life-without-parole

sentence as a nonviolent drug offender.

Life in prison without the possibility of parole screams that a person is beyond hope,

beyond redemption.

And in Alice's case, it is a punishment that absolutely did not fit the crime.

President Trump saved Alice Johnson's life today," Johnson's attorney Brittany K.

Barnett said in a statement.

"We are extremely grateful and hope the President continues to use his clemency power

to save lives."

Kardashian thanked Trump in a tweet.

Johnson was convicted in 1996 on eight criminal counts related to a Memphis-based cocaine

trafficking operation.

Her involvement with cocaine dealers reportedly came about after she lost her job, her son

was killed, she got divorced and her home was foreclosed on.

While Kardashian says that she won't be adding to the legitimacy of President Trump,

that seems a little hard to believe.

Having the Kardashian crew in Trump's corner could prove to be a valuable asset in 2020.

They appeal to the younger voters which traditionally don't vote.

A Kardashian/West influence could bring out an army of young voters.

Earlier this year Kim's sister Kylie said on social media that she was bored with the

social site Snapchat.

Overnight Snapchat's stock plummeted, costing the company billions.

President Trump is an influencer, and he fully recognizes the value of having the Kardashian/West

team in his corner.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Trump utilizing the power couple to aid him in 2020.

Re: "Racist?" - How to Examine Intent - Duration: 7:56.

I've been debating for a while if I should just make videos instead of leaving long comments,

especially when some of the time the combined comments I write while watching a video would

actually pass the character limit.

Yes, that's a thing...it's somewhere around 10,000 characters.

So, I've decided to actually try doing that at least for some of them that I consider

important.

Let me know what you think.

Of course, that can get exceptionally long in video response form, as well.

Even without addressing and including literally everything, it was likely to go past the half-hour

mark.

I don't know about anyone else, but once a video is over 30 minutes long, I tend to hesitate

to watch it at all...

So in response to Deconverted Man's video and its questions, I'm going to actually skip

to the things I seriously want to address and still split it up.

Not based on the order things were said in the original, but based on the actual topic

it leads me to.

He starts by laying out personal example, which by the way, Deconverted Man, leaves

you open to criticism about your character and past.

That's fine, just pointing out this method has its risks too - in fact, all useful methods

of approaching the topic likely do.

It takes a couple minutes and isn't particularly necessary or important for this, so if you

want to hear it, a link to the original will be in the description.

After laying out this example, he asks some questions.

Of particular interest is this:

Deconverted Man: "So, does my intent matter?

Well, how can anyone outside of myself examine that?"

Of course, intent matters in many contexts.

Beliefs matter, as well.

After all, beliefs inform actions.

The entire question of "is so-and-so racist?" is a question about matters we cannot directly

observe.

So then, how can we examine these things?

Sometimes, we can do this fairly directly, by having the person examine themselves.

We can ask, for example, "Why did you say that?

What made you choose that particular word?"

This works best if we can trust the person to be honest, both with us and with themselves.

As such, this has an obvious flaw when it comes to determining something others may

wish to hide.

It's likely to be much harder to get someone to admit something they realize is bad about

themselves and especially difficult if we're starting off with an accusation.

While they're giving their explanation, we can observe more than the mere words they

are saying.

If we can see them, we can observe body language.

If we can hear them, we can observe tone.

We can also observe other details, which I will get to in a minute as they're even more

important for other methods.

Once we have as much of this information as we can get, we can decide if we believe that

they were being honest or not.

And from that, we can decide whether we believe them regarding their explanation or not.

If we can't directly ask them or don't trust them, we can attempt to infer a possible intent

from other information available.

In the specific question of racism, we could look for a pattern.

Do they say these kinds of things regularly?

If they have done similar more than once, what do all the instances have in common?

Are all the targets even part of the same race?

Does the person, or should they, understand how what they're saying will be taken by others?

We may even be able to directly confront them about the matter and then see if their behavior

changes in the future.

Maybe they lacked some important piece of information.

Or, if we don't have enough of this more personalized context, we can attempt to look to wider society

for answers.

If it's because of a particular word, for example, we could see how that word is typically

used in society, particular in similar situations or sentences.

Is it almost always used to attack based on race or skin color?

Is whatever problem we have with it widely enough understood that the person at least

should realize the issue?

And then we also need to consider this: Can our method of answering this question come

to the wrong conclusion?

And OF COURSE, it can.

The less information we ultimately have to base our conclusion on, the less likely it

is to be accurate.

Even with quite a bit of information, though, this is something we likely can never truly

"know."

Hell, it's actually possible that you may not truly know your original intent.

What you think was your intent or "why" you did it may, in fact, just be an explanation

formed later to settle your mind or others' questions.

Considering that, and considering the type of world I'd like to live in and the type

of people I'd like to interact with, I'd add another question to examining the intent:

"What other possible explanations do we know of?"

Maybe there are less nefarious reasons that thing might have been said or done.

Especially if you don't have many details to go on, consider giving the benefit of the

doubt.

And keep in mind that, whatever answer you've come to, whatever your conclusions of someone

else's motives, you only have a possible, likely, or probable answer, not a definitive

one.

Though, with enough information and examples added over time, the answer can become closer

to definitive.

And the fact that the method isn't infallible doesn't mean we shouldn't make any attempts

to figure such things out.

Only that we should be honest about it, and not claim to know someone is evil from one

or two minor events.

Later in the video, talking about having hypothetically determined that saying something did make

the person racist, this question came up:

Deconverted Man: "...Does saying sorry or feeling bad about it undo this?"

And, no, or at least not exactly.

It doesn't change what is done - you can't actually undo the past.

What it does is show, or signal if you like, a likely understanding of it being wrong.

It suggests that there is something about the previous action that you do not accept

(even though the action is your own).

We can't actually see inside your head.

We can't know if you realize - whether a week later or a split second too late to prevent

it - that it was wrong.

Unless you tell us in some form, that is.

So, it doesn't "undo" anything, but it does add information.

Let's say we, hypothetically, look at an event and whatever information we have surrounding

it and initially conclude "yes, that person is a racist."

Then this person comes out and shows that they agree whatever they said or did was wrong,

or perhaps they'd already done this and we just find it later.

We can then reevaluate the situation and possibly come to a different conclusion to the new

question "Is this person still a racist?"

Though part of this is determining whether or not we believe their apology or explanation

or whatever the new information was.

But I'll get to that in another section.

Thanks for hearing me out!
