Youtube daily Aug 27 2018

In August 2016, Google began limiting the data available in Keyword Planner to non-advertisers.

So instead of search volumes like this:

You'd see useless data like this.

Or is it really useless?

In this tutorial, you're about to find out how to use Google Keyword Planner.

Stay tuned.

[music]

What's up marketers, Sam Oh here with Ahrefs, the SEO tool that helps you grow your search

traffic, research your competitors, and dominate your niche.

Now if you're new to Keyword Planner, let's get a free account set up for you and run

through Keyword Planner's two main search features in 45 seconds.

First, go to ads.google.com and click the "sign in" button up here and log in to your

Google account.

After you sign in, you'll be asked to enter in your email and website.

Just click "Skip the guided setup," or else you'll have to go through a long setup process.

Confirm the settings here and you're done.

Now, click on tools, and choose Keyword Planner.

You'll have two choices: "find keywords," or "get search volume and forecasts."

These are pretty self-explanatory.

Use the first option if you're looking for new keyword ideas.

Just enter a seed keyword and Keyword Planner will kick back hundreds or thousands of related

suggestions, plus some metrics.

If you already have a list of keywords that you want to analyze, use the second option.

This won't suggest keywords but rather it'll tell you estimated search ranges and CPC data for

the keywords you entered.

Got it?

Good.

Now, onto the hacks!

The first hack is to unlock exact keyword planner volumes without spending a dime.

Well...

Kind of.

When Google started restricting their data, most SEOs completely stopped using their tool.

And a lot of us just weren't willing to spend the money in advertising to unlock the search

volumes since that money could be spent on better SEO tools.

The good news is that you can still see the exact search volumes inside Keyword Planner

without spending a penny.

First, go to "find keywords" and search for a keyword phrase or add multiple seed keywords.

And here, you can see that both "iphone charger" and "apple iPhone charger" fall into the same

average monthly search volume range.

But you and I both know that one of these has significantly more search volume, right?

So, I'll select these two keyword phrases and select "exact match" from this dropdown.

Finally, I'll add these to our plan.

Next, click on the "keywords" menu in the sidebar.

And next, I'll edit the maximum CPC value to the highest Google allows.

And as you start to exceed the maximum value, Adwords will show you a limit.

So I'll match that number to see the most exposure we can get for these keywords.

Now take a look at the impressions column in the table below.

This number tells you the estimated number of impressions your ad would get over the

next 30 days from your target keywords if you bid this amount.

This number should be a workable representation of the total search volume for your keyword

if you were to attain a top ranking organic position.

Boom.

Unlocked.

One thing worth noting here is that you should take these numbers with a grain of salt.

Adwords doesn't always show ads for every search query.

And these impression figures are meant for advertisers and not for SEOs.

For more accurate estimations, try a tool made for SEOs like Keywords Explorer.

The next hack is to steal keyword ideas from your competitors.

And Keyword Planner is the most useful for its ability to generate keyword ideas based

on a seed keyword.

But did you know that you can generate keyword ideas from a page or from an entire domain?

Let's say that you want to create a post on broken link building.

Go to Google and search for your target keyword and look at the top ranking pages.

Then you can copy and paste the URL right into Google Keyword Planner.

Just make sure to select the page URL and then run the search.

Keyword planner will then bring up a list of keyword ideas based on the page that you've

entered so you can get a list of relevant keywords on that topic.

Something to note is that this list of keyword ideas do not necessarily represent the organic

keywords that this page ranks for.

For example, one of the keyword suggestions is "link building company," but if you look

through the top 100 results for this search query, our page is nowhere to be found.

To get hyper-relevant keywords for a page, you'd have to use Ahrefs Site Explorer's organic

keywords report, where you can see all of the keywords a page ranks for, the keyword

metrics, and ranking positions.

So, take these recommendations in Google Keyword Planner with a grain of salt and consider

topical relevance when filtering through the results.

Another cool thing you can do is enter in the domain of one of your competitors and

see if you can come up with topic ideas that are relevant for your site.

So, I could type in, hubspot.com and then search their entire site for keyword ideas.

Now, you'll see a bunch of branded queries, which aren't very helpful since you likely

won't be able to serve the search intent for something like "Hubspot sales training."

You can exclude their brand name by clicking on Filter, select Keyword Text, then choose

"does not contain" from the dropdown.

Now, just enter in their brand name and you'll see a much more relevant list of topics that you can target.

You can also get creative with these filters.

If you wanted to find question-like keywords, then you can add more keyword text filters.

So, you can see here that I set up keyword text filters that contain keywords like who,

what, when, where, why, and how.

And you'll see a solid list of questions you can use in your blog posts or FAQ sections.

And it looks like most of the questions are based around the topic of CRMs.

But this report only shows us around 50 or so results, which doesn't seem right.

Compare that to Ahrefs' questions report with the seed, CRM, and you'll see over 10,000

different questions that have search volume.

But again, Keyword Planner is made for advertisers, so it's not surprising that SEO tools would outshine them.

The next hack is to find lucrative keywords by looking at suggested bids.

And this tip is pretty simple but extremely powerful.

And it's based on this logic:

If advertisers are willing to pay top dollar for an ad placement on a keyword, then that

keyword likely holds commercial intent.

So let's use furniture as our seed keyword.

Then I'll sort the data by "Top of page bid" on the high range.

And right away, you can see a whole bunch of great commercial keyword ideas.

One thing I would recommend looking at is the disparity between the low range and high range bids.

You'll see that "oriental furniture" has a low range of around $1, while the high range is over $20.

On the other hand, office furniture has a low range bid of around $6 and a high range

of $22, which suggests that advertisers are consistently willing to pay top dollar on

these ad placements.

It's also worth looking for exact keyword volumes on the keywords you're interested in targeting.

For example, Ahrefs' Keywords Explorer shows that "modern green couch" only has 20 monthly

searches in the United States.

Now, while advertisers are willing to pay upwards of $50, you'd have to evaluate if

targeting this phrase would be worth your time and effort.

The next hack is one of my favorites and that's to get targeted locational data.

With most keyword research tools, you can only see keyword data by country.

For example, if you look up "cleaning services" using the impressions hack, then you'll

see that there are nearly 150,000 impressions per month in the US alone.

But I highly doubt someone is going to fly across the country to clean your house.

So, click on the locations at the top and enter the location that you serve.

So, I'll set the location to Toronto, and you'll see the number of impressions change.

One last thing you should do is to make sure that the CPC is set to its maximum value since

Adwords costs will vary based on location.

And you should see a new updated version of the impressions for the locations you've selected.

Now, this example is for a pretty big city, so if you happen to live in a rural area,

you may want to select all of the different cities and locations that your customers will

be willing to travel from or the locations you will be willing to travel to.

Then you can get an extra layer of insights by going to the plan overview.

Just scroll to the bottom of the page to see the percentage of impressions by the

locations you entered.

But using locational data isn't limited to just local businesses, which you'll see in

the next hack.

And that's to find out which countries, cities, and regions need your products and services

on a global or national scale.

Just enter in a keyword phrase or phrases that your prospective customers might be looking for.

So, I'll just type in SEO tools, keyword research, and backlink checker.

Then add the keywords to your plan.

Next, make sure that you clear any selected locations, which will search for data in all

locations from around the world.

The report that you want to look at is, the "Plan Overview".

If we scroll down to the bottom of the page, you'll see the countries ranked in order of

popularity based on the filter you choose here.

So, in our case as SEOs, impressions would make the most sense.

Seeing that the majority of searches come from the US, we can set our location filter

to search in the United States to drill down on specific locations.

Now, when you scroll to the bottom, you'll see the total number of searches ranked by state.

And if you click on the dropdown, you'll be able to drill down on specific regions, municipalities, and cities.

So, even though the state of California produces the most impressions, you'll see that the

top city is on the other side of the country in New York.

The next hack is to optimize for the devices that are searching for your keyword terms.

Different niches, in fact, different keywords can have significantly different

search volumes based on the device that's being used.

If we look at the "Plan Overview" page for our query on SEO tools, keyword research tools,

and backlink checker, you'll see that the vast majority of impressions come from computers.

And it makes sense since people searching for these terms likely want to use or test

a tool right then and there.

And that's not gonna happen on mobile.

Also, these queries are more for a B2B audience than a B2C audience.

But let's examine the queries "restaurants near me" and other variants that are obviously

more mobile dominant.

You'll see that almost all of the searches come from phones and tablets.

Now less obvious terms might be informational keywords related to babies and toddlers sleeping.

These searches are probably coming from tired parents turning to their phones in the middle

of the night rather than whipping out their laptops.

With that said, it's important that you consider this data in your keyword research process

so you can optimize your pages for the devices that will actually be viewing it.

A couple additional tips to optimize for mobile would be to ensure that your fonts are readable

for smaller screens and you'll also want to make sure that your images are scaled proportionally.

For example, if you have a really long image at 1900 pixels, and a height of 500 pixels,

it might look great on desktop, but it might be tough to make out on a mobile device.

So what do you think of these keyword planner hacks?

Still think search volume is useless even if you're stuck with the ranged volumes?

Easy Girls Skirt Tutorial (Free Pattern) - Duration: 4:21.

Hi i'm Angel with fleecefun.com

And today I'm going to show you how to make this really cute knit midi skirt. It's fun. It's fast.

It's comfortable and I have to say it's a pretty awesome easy pattern.

For this project you will need the following. You will need one yard of jersey knit fabric with a 50 percent stretch

Sewing essentials like pins needles thread that sort of thing

Alright, once you've gathered up all those materials it's time to get started

And normally I just say sewing essentials and we move on

But I want to make sure that you understand when you're working with knits

One of those sewing essentials is a ballpoint needle. So important for success when you're working with knits, make sure that you have it.

They're not that expensive

Also when we're finishing up the hem I'm using

A double needle and you know, well, it's not something you might use a lot it makes that edge looks so beautiful

And so professional. Definitely worth learning how to use a double needle. All right, let's get sewing

You will need to assemble the free sewing pattern

Select the size that you want to sew and cut the pattern down to that size. It correlates with color

Make sure that when you're cutting out the pattern most of the stretch is going across the skirt and the waistband.

On the fold cut two of the midi skirt bottom

On the fold cut one of the waistband

With the right sides together sew the sides of the midi skirt using a 3/8 seam allowance. Be sure to use a stretch stitch

For best results. So from the top of the skirt to the bottom

All right now that we've sewn the sides of the skirt, let's work on the waistband

Fold the waistband in half. So the shorter sides are touching right sides together and sew

All right now it's time to bring the waistband and the skirt together

Make sure that you line up that seam on the waistband with one of the side seams of the skirt

Get the skirt and the waistband leave the skirt inside-out

Take the waistband top fold it down. So it touches the bottom folding it in half making it

So the fabric is right side out on the outer band and inner band

Place the band inside the skirt lining up the raw edges of the bottom of the band

With the raw edges of the top of the skirt

Line up the seam of the waistband to one of the side seams of the skirt

Sew together using a 3/8 seam allowance all

Right, let's just hem up the bottom and we're almost there

Fold up the bottom of the skirt 1 inch press and then pin

Turn right side out

Top stitch the hem in place with the double needle

You just finished the girls skirt pattern tutorial

and

That's it. You have this really cute and comfortable midi skirt

It's just it's a great skirt for girls. My little girl who has sensory issues loves this skirt

She has been wearing it and wearing it actually need to make her another one because the other one is constantly in the wash

How To Do YouTube Video SEO - Duration: 16:20.

Alright, so, you saw the title of this video. We're talking keyword research and

S-E-O for YouTube videos. How do you do it? We're going to demonstrate. Well, he will.

Yeah, I'll demonstrate. We're going to get down and dirty today. We're

going to get right in, hands-on. Well, not dirty. It's just a saying. Relax.

Talking about how to do S-E-O for YouTube videos. And I mean I just said that and

it sounded like I knew what I was even talking about. But honestly, I mean, I know

S-E-O stands for Search Engine Optimization. But tell me what it is

you're going to do for us. Okay, YouTube allows us to do search engine

optimization in a much easier way. So, let me just preface it by that. It's a

lot easier than the the S-E-O of the past. And it works way better, it gets way

better results. So, I want to explain S-E-O and kind of take you through the YouTube

S-E-O process that I do. And kind of explain the end goal of what you're

trying to do with it. And then I'm going to demonstrate. So, I'm going to grab my laptop

here and demonstrate how to do it. But I'm confident that if I explain this

first then when you do it, it'll make a lot more sense and you'll

actually get the results. I've taught this for years and hundreds of

times. So, I've got to teach it first. So, let me share kind of a little visual or

maybe an analogy, okay? So, picture a tree. You've got a trunk, you've got branches,

(Okay) branches that gets thinner and then at

the end, you've got leaves. The leaves are what we want, okay? And we're talking... When

we do keyword research to find topics, we want to find the leaves. We don't

want to make videos that are on the trunk or on the branches. We want to go

out to the leaves, okay? So, an example would be, we're going to use the push up

example, okay? If the push ups... That category... You mean, that literal? Physical

Push-ups? Okay. You're a push up expert, obviously. Well, clearly. And if we're going to make

a video on our videos on push-ups, we don't just want to say push-ups by Scott

Christopher. Right. Okay, that would be the trunk. That's the trunk. That's the trunk.

A branch might be, "How to do push-ups well." Okay. That might be a branch.

It's getting more specific. Right, yes. But a leaf might be... And I've got some examples

here, okay? Okay. So, these this is going to be a very specific term? Yes. And I've got

a list of several of them. Let me explain this part. You want to create videos on

several different types of leaves because one branch will have a variety

of leaves. And if you rank each video, each leaf topic video, eventually your

branch will rank. And you will compete on YouTube. Maybe even the trunk.

Like for one of my channels, we do rank for real estate investing. That would be

a trunk. And that's a very trunk term.

Because there's going to... But we do that in the

beginning. Yeah. I've created hundreds of leaf videos. So, here's some examples on. So, work

backwards almost, really? Right. That's what you want to do. You want to work backwards.

Okay, so that's the goal. Here are some examples of push-ups. "How to do a perfect

push-up for beginners." Nice. The next video would be, "Does the perfect push-up really

work?" That could be a whole separate video talking about the results you get

from it. The third one, "What muscles does the perfect push-up work?" And these are

leaf. Leaf, leaves. Each of these will be the leaf in topic video. Because they're drilled down.

Did a little more specific than just how to do a good push-up? Yeah. Yeah. Okay,

another example. The perfect push-up 30-day challenge. So, you can have a video

about that. It talks about... For Filipinos? That would be even more specific? That would be like a way

way down. But what Filipinos do it differently than Utahns? So, let's ask this

Filipinos watching right now. Yeah. My team are Filipinos. See, that's what I'm saying. Hi!

So, another one. How to do the perfect diamond push-up? In Manila. I'm just messing. No,

you're good, I'm just going this is all the entertainment value. That's why he's

here. How to do the perfect one-arm push-up? Okay.

Wow, that might... Well, I was because I was automatically thinking of just one-armed

people. But you're right. Two aren't people still do want to push-ups like

rocky. Not me. But, yeah. Oh, gosh, no. I mean... One day. Just a visual quick, quick visual.

We've got 2 more push-up videos that I could create here. Leaves, okay?

The perfect push-up routine or how do the perfect push-up routine. That

starts to feel a little branchy to me. Maybe. I don't know.

See, it's all... Here's a way to tell it. If you go to YouTube and you

type it and see how many other videos have that phrase in their title, and

keep going until... Yeah, there's none there. You want to find these leaf long phrase

topics that other people aren't using or that are being very rarely used. Now, you

may be answering this, I'm not sure coming up or whatever. Because I can't

read your mind. But if you do a long leaf type title or whatever. If you get really,

really specific and you get an exact match, you're the only video out there

for sure. But does it also capture less? You know what I'm saying? Like, if you say

"How to do the perfect diamond push-up in Milan or in wherever in Manila." Will you

at least still get some hits on how to do the perfect diamond push-up?

But if something happens to say in Manila, you're definitely getting that.

The answer is yes, eventually. If you make several videos like this. So, the whole

reason I'm having a list... So, I've got 8 here. The 8Th one was how not to

do push-ups or something. You know, (Yeah) "How not to do push-ups

perfectly." Maybe but I don't know. I did search for that. How not to do push-ups.

Well, you don't want to get injured. Yeah. Okay, there we go. So, if

you're going to make 8 videos that are all leaf topics but they all say, you

know, "How to do the perfect push-up?" Then eventually, a rank for that or the phrase

perfect push-up. You'll be known as the perfect push-up man. That's your channel.

Yeah, perfect push-ups channel. So, you do want... It's not that you don't want to

rank for the trunk or for these branches but by targeting the trunks of

the branches, you're not going get there. But by targeting the leaves, you'll rank

for the leave topics immediately. And then over time, you'll rank for the small

branches. Then eventually the big branches, the trunk. Okay, now do you

believe that you've laid down enough theory for us that we can start building for execution?

I think so. Let's jump in and show you how to find the branches that lead

to the leaves. Beautiful. Alright. So, we're going to demonstrate it for you now.

And Scott here suggested that we do motorcycle repair. So, let's say Scott

wants to make motorcycle repair videos. I think this will be an easy one to really

demonstrate how to get to the branches and the leaves. There's a lot a

lot of places you can go. And if you were to make a video on, you know, motorcycle

repair video 1. And then motorcycle repair video 2. Pretty, pretty trunky.

Yeah. Pretty Trunky. I like that. I'm going to show you 3 different tools. This

one here is called the "Keyword researcher." It's a tool that you pay once

for it. I believe it's 50 bucks from a company called Clever Gizmos. And then

you download it. There's another tool that is free. This one is called the

Keyword Planner. It's a Google AdWords tool. You do have to have a Google

AdWords account. But then the tool is free. And we'll start here. But I want to

show you what the other tool, is the third one. It's by Moz and we'll come

here. You come here to free S-E-O tools. And you start here. We'll just type in

motorcycle repair. Let me just demonstrate this and while we're here.

It's actually a pretty simple tool.

Take off the space there. Alright. So, once you bring this up, it's actually

good to come to keyword suggestions. And then, in this drop-down menu, I like going

to our questions. So, it's giving you keyword suggestions that aren't

questions. Yeah. So, what's great about this is it's how

to service a motorcycle? How to fix motorcycles? How to service motorcycle

Forks. That's that's getting more leafy. That's more leafy or branchy. Yeah. How

does service motorcycle rear shock. So, these are getting more specific. And this

will give you ideas of different branches for sure. And sometimes even

some leaves. I mean, what is a fender eliminator kit on a motorcycle? That is

definitely a leaf. Right. It does say here "no data" meaning, we might want to tweak

that. But that... Because we want to make sure that it is searchable. We want to

use a phrase that people are searching for. So, we want to find really specific

titles. But we can't forget search. Even if it's just, you know, 50 searches per

month. That means that people are actually typing in this exact phrase. And

we don't know about this one. So, let me use this as an example. I'll copy that.

Let's take it over to the keyword planner. I can paste it right here and

hit get search volume. And it tells us, you know what? It actually does get

searched 10 times a month. Now, that doesn't sound too impressive. And when I

teach people about keyword research, they always want to go after

the phrases that have a thousand or 10,000 Yeah. Greedy. "Ooh, this one

has a hundred thousand." Yeah. But guess what? I don't know. You're not going to get

ranked for those ones. Because the more competitive ones, there the more branch

phrase topics anyway and they're more competitive. And if you're brand new to

motorcycle repair, you create a video on on that topic. It's not going to rank day

one. This one right here. And it's a bridge. So, I can't see what was it. "What

is a fender eliminator kit on a motorcycle?" would be a fantastic video if

if that would be a video that matches what you want to teach. So, if this

content, that would be a fantastic video. You know why? Because you're going to rank

number one, day one. It's a perfect leaf. And

it's an easy specific one to make. I mean you're just making a video that's

answering that question. Maybe you have one, you can show them. You can

demonstrate, you know, how to put it on. That would become the title of my video?

Absolutely. Okay. And what I also put that in the

description of the video or what I want to save that space for something that

might double up my chances. In the first couple lines of the description, you want

to include this. It doesn't have to be worded the exact same way. But I mean the

way this is worded is pretty natural. Yes. But in your description, it's like, "In

this video, I show you what a Fender elimination kit for a motorcycle is. I

show you how to install it." So, you actually, you know, write a real

description. Got you. But, yeah, include those words

in it. This exact phrase not only is it your title but you also want to put

it in as a key word that just helps them to know know. And you're going to want

to say this in your video. You know, the answer while you're talking. That's

really important. So, in the video, you're going to be saying, "So what is a fender

eliminator kit on a motorcycle? Well, here's one right here.

This is how you install it. Alright, I'm going to grab my motorcycle. Let me grab the

fender eliminator kit. Now, why is it important that you actually say it?

YouTube will transcribe your videos and will find the words and make sure it

matches your title. Make sure it matches your key word and the description. No way. They do that?

Serious business. Wow. So, anything you put out there, they're

transcribing? Oh, yeah. Aren't you glad that YouTube does this? Very glad. The

reason that I am glad is well... Is because I know that when I find a video... If

YouTube's going to recommend a video to me, I know what it's going to be about because

YouTube verifies it from all different angles and they're suggesting it to me

because they know the types of videos that I like. Isn't that interesting.

You can't cheat YouTube. Don't try and cheat YouTube. There's probably ways you

can but why would you want? Yeah, exactly. They're giving you, I mean, all these

tools that are available out there. And this one now. This one was the free one

or was this one with... This one... You can Do the others work about basically the

same way as this one does? Each tool is this is unique. This one is simple. And it's

easy to use. But if you use it more than a few times a month, you do have to pay.

So and it's a monthly subscription and it's not cheap. The keyword planner from

the Google AdWords account, this is free and I use this one all

the time. Let me show you another way that you can

use this tool. I'm going to come up here to modify search. And instead of get

search volume, I'm going to go to find new keywords or search for new keyword. So,

I'll type in motorcycle repair. So, what I'm going to look for first and then I'll

demonstrate how to use that first tool I have showed you the keyword. Keyword

researcher. What I'm looking for now is actually branches that I haven't thought

of. Okay, so motorcycle repair shops. Maybe

not applicable to my YouTube channel. Motorcycle service, repair near, mechanic

near, motorcycle parts, cheap motorcycle parts. So, these are just broken into

different categories. Let's just try. We'll do Harley. I didn't think of that.

Maybe we could make video specific to Harley. How are they mechanics. Hmm. Makes

me at least gives me the idea of... Oh there's Harley repair right there. So,

if we come in here, Harley-Davidson motorcycle repair. We're going to take that

phrase over to the keyword researcher. And I can put in an asterisk before it.

And I'll add it again... And I'm also just going to add in a couple other versions. I'm

going to just get rid of the word motorcycle. So, watch what this tool does.

Alright. So, I've got in those that look criteria. They're what I want it to look

for. And I hit play and now it starts searching all of the search queries that

people use on Google and other search engines. And it just finds lots and lots

of examples. It pauses sometimes, so that it doesn't offend the search engines. And

these are all the things that people have typed in, searching. Alright. So, we

finished there. If I hit this button here ad to master list, we see there's 470.

I'm going to hit cleanup because there might be some duplicates.

Okay. And that that took us down to 267, okay? If I hit select all and then I hit

the keys, Ctrl copy or command C for copy. So, now I've got that in my clipboard. And

if I come back here to the keyword planner, go to modify search and go down

to the second one. Get search volume data. Okay, so I can paste in up to a thousand

different phrases here. And then if I hit get search volume. It does its thinking.

And we need to go to the keyword ideas tab. Alright. So, these are all the

phrases that we typed in. It says, "Here all 265 are here." And we can sort it by... I

think it already was but average monthly searches. And you can check the phrases.

Harley-Davidson repair shops near me. I don't know if

that's a video that I want to check. But you know what? The easier way, I'm going to

come here to download, save to Google Drive, hit download, wait a moment and

then open file. Now, this is a lot more user-friendly. It gives me a whole bunch

of data. I only need 2 columns. Let me grab that one and move it. The 2

columns I want are the columns with the key words in it. And the column with the

average monthly search volume. And I want to look at any phrase starting here and

above. Any phrase that has ten searches or more above. So, I can just go through

this list now and a lot of these are going to be great leaf topics. Interesting.

Harley-Davidson odometer repair. Yeah. Those are very leafy. Yeah. "Are they Davidson Golf

Cart repair?" Yeah, even though... Golf cart, that's interesting. Even though

those are shorter, meaning, this one's only 4 words long.

Hardly-Davidson odometer repair. That's pretty specific. It's a specific type of

Motorcycle. Odometer repair. So, that's something going to be a leaf topic. Most of my

clients have the same type of reaction. It's like, the steps are kind of simple

once you know the end goal. You want to find the leaf topics. Here's all the

tools you can use. But then you're like, "Ah, but this sounds boring." And I agree. I

don't necessarily enjoy this. That's why I have employees that do a

fantastic job. Oh good for you. And we do this for my clients. So, my clients help

me with the topic brainstorm but then we'll go and we'll do all the keyword

research for them. So, can I just have you come over to my house and do this for me?

Or can you do it here? I'll let my team. I'll let my team. Maybe we can do a topic

brainstorm over the phone. Okay. Easy. So, I could do this

with you for distance? I never have to leave... We just chat or you can... We can share...

Anyway, it means that you can, too. That's the connection there. See.

But now that this video is over and you watch this far, you might as well

subscribe. Might as well. And see you in the next video. Good

What Is the Benefit of Using a Reporting Dashboard? - Duration: 2:26.

So reporting in general is actually kind of a difficult thing to do and people don't inherently

understand that out of the gate.

Most of the third-party systems people are used to looking at, whether it's Google Analytics,

whether it's Facebook Analytics.

That is a multi-million and billion dollar organization that is then aggregating and

looking at unstructured data and then structuring it for you.

To then actually dive down into that unstructured data to then understand where some of those

juicy nuggets of information about what campaigns are actually doing what for sales, can be

pretty difficult.

Once you then break down those barriers of what those predetermined analytics tools can

do for you, it gets to be pretty hairy.

And having a dedicated reporting dashboard through a business intelligence tool, and

assistance from someone as myself as a reporting and marketing technology specialist, you can

really then understand...this data needs to be correlated to another one through a unique

ID in this way.

Having that information then, you can customize it for what you're looking for outside of

the predetermined functions that come from another type of reporting dashboard.

So a tried-and-true method of applying reporting for your own business or your own instances

for marketing would be either through Excel or through PowerPoint—basic types of graphs

you can generate out of a sheet-type software.

And those are perfect.

Those are great.

It allows you to then get that information in there to visualize it.

The only problem is...the manual process to actually do that, and the lack of it having

being pulled and automated on a regular basis.

So, in order to do that then, you would have to consistently go to wherever that data is

living, structure it, format it within that sheet itself on a regular basis to then get

the insights.

Whereas if you could automatically connect into some of those systems, tap into that

unstructured data, blend it the way that you need to, and then spit out an automated report,

you could actually move quicker, pivot on the fly, and then handle more information

on a grand scale.

So...

Now would be the perfect time to smash cut to explosions and then...and that's the end.

BLUESTACKS VS MEMU ANDROID EMULATOR SPEED TEST - Duration: 8:04.

hey what's up guys hazet here your back with another video on the channel and in

today's video I will be doing an android emulator speed test so in my previous

video I was told you guys that BlueStacks is the best Android emulator

and that video went really good I get over 80 K views from that video and on

that video a lot of you guys agreed with the list and as some of you guys didn't

so the most of the negative comments were saying that memoir Knox is better

than BlueStacks but most of them were talking about Mehmood

so that makes me come up with this video so in this video I will be testing that

is when we really better than three stacks with group so the way this test

will be going on is I will test both programs launch speed that's mean if you

open the emulator how long it will take the emulator to fully launch next I will

be opening different games and some apps and both emulators and we'll see which

one opened those games in apps faster and at the last I will also be testing

both programs benchmarks so that's how you can know which emulator is better in

multitasking and 3d gaming performance so guys make sure to watch the full

video if you really want to know which one is better alright so let's get into

the video

alright guys so at the first we are gonna be checking the launch speed of

both emulators but before let me clear that at the left side we have BlueStacks

and at the right side we have memo and also the whole test you are going to

watch will be in 2x speed because I don't want to waste your time but for

letting you know about the time there will be a timer in the right hand side

which will also run in 2x speed so let's begin the test

all right so as you guys seen that moon stacks takes 49 seconds to launch and

mem who takes 53 not a huge difference but still it's a win for BlueStacks

and maybe those both emulators launch time was a little bit too much for you

but with the PC specs like this it's pretty good alright so when we are done

with the launch speed of the programs let's run some games and apps and see

what happened click before the games and apps fear testing armed clash of clans

clash Royals Hungry Shark evolution mini militia traffic rider smash hit subway

surfers Hill Climb racing to Facebook Google Chrome Instagram twitch and

YouTube so let's begin the test and see which perform better

all right so as you guys seen that BlueStacks takes only two minutes and 43

seconds to launch all of those apps and on the other hand memory takes four

minutes and 15 seconds even on that did you guys notice that I didn't run all 13

games and apps on memo no I didn't because Facebook app wasn't able to run

on memo did was crashing all the time I tried to launch Facebook but for the

calculation mem who takes around 35 seconds to launch each of the apps on

this test so if we would run any other apps by the replacement of Facebook it

would take 35 seconds more on average than with the 35 more second memo would

take 4 minutes and 50 seconds to launch all of those apps and games so is a

really big disappointment for memo because BlueStacks was more than 1.5

percent faster than memo now after seeing all of those if you have any

doubt in your mind that maybe memo is better at multitasking our gaming

performance then you are 100% wrong because I have also tested the benchmark

of both emulators on antutu benchmark doing stacks get 100 3153

and on the other side mem we get only 80 4401 I was also thought about testing

green vent 4 but just like Facebook memo also doesn't support it I don't know why

they are doing this maybe they are trying to hide the performance issue but

I am not 100% sure even at the beginning of the video I knew BlueStacks is better

than memo but when I was trying to record the video for memo it was

freezing and lagging all the time and I need to restart it again and again

I was never accept memo to perform this bad so it's a massive disappointment for

memo and also some people thought that maybe Knox is better than BlueStacks but

no that's also not right because Knox run in KitKat and most of the new games

don't run in KitKat with BlueStacks run an Android nougat and it supports all

the games and it's really well optimised so it's a kind of proof that BlueStacks

is the best Android emulator I can recommend it to anyone to use it doesn't

matter if you have a bad or a good computer BlueStacks always perform the

best so guys if you do want to download

bluestacks there will be a download link in the description so just go ahead and

download it and enjoy whatever game you like alright guys so that's it for

today's video I hope you find this video helpful if it was don't forget to leave

a like on the video because it takes me a lot of time and hard work to make this

video so your one life would be so much appreciated to me and also subscribe if

you are new to the channel and as always thanks for watching

my name is Hansen and I am out

STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™ - Armor Design Documentary - Duration: 12:07.

Star Wars: The Old Republic's art style is unmistakable.

Whether it's the iconic battle uniforms of the Jedi, or the Havoc Squad armor worn by

Republic troopers, each outfit and armor set in the game was carefully crafted to fit the

look and feel of an era that comes 3,000 years before the Star Wars movies.

In this short documentary, I'll be talking to Anna Lee, a long-time concept artist for

Bioware who has designed many of the recent armors in the game, and Dustin Gagner, a Character

artist who is new addition to the Bioware Austin team.

Anna Lee received a Masters in Fine Art in Illustration from the Academy of Art University

in San Francisco.

Shortly after, she joined the Bioware team in 2014, the same year the Shadow of Revan

expansion was released.

Although she hasn't been with the studio since the launch of the game, when she joined she'd

collected over eleven years of experience in concept artistry.

It's no wonder she was assigned to design Empress Acina's regal new outfit

just a year later!

Dustin Gagner has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and started off as a 3D Artist Intern at Disney

Interactive Studios, and only joined the Bioware Austin team in late 2017, as the team was

getting ready for the United Forces update.

Together, they've joined up to tell us just how the Bioware development team tackles adding

new armor designs to Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Reference collecting is the most important and the very first step of creating a new

set of armor.

This can be the most fun part of the process because there are so many good designs and

stories to take inspiration from in the Star Wars universe.

Four to five initial sketches follow to initiate the discussion, and different departments

can be involved in this stage so that the team can prevent any technical issues and

get more open feedback.

We plan ahead of time drawing inspiration from the comics, older Star Wars games and

movies to inform and inspire new ideas.

The outfits ideation is open to all team members.

Whether it's from a sketch that a Character Artist did, a reference that a designer pulled

up, or even a player idea, all ideas are considered in a team-oriented group conversation.

Creating a new story character's look and armor requires an incredible amount of collaboration

between the writing team, concept team and character artist team.

Unlike armor design for player characters, armor designed for key characters must reflect

that character's values, strengths and ideals.

After a discussion, the concept team drives the main design of the outfit.

Young Kim, concept artist, had the chance to create the concept art for one of Star

Wars: The Old Republic's key story characters in the story arc following the Knights of

the Eternal Throne expansion.

I initially wanted to know more about the character, so I spoke to his writer, Samantha

Wallschlaeger, and worked closely with her on his development.

I spoke to her about who this character was, and what his motivations were.

For story based characters I think writers are one of the best, if not the best, colleagues

a concept artist could hope for.

That kind of synergy is really exciting as you bounce ideas off each other and ask questions

like "Is he being used by the Gemini droid?

Does he have Force powers and powerful connections, or does he just have an uncommon will to see

a mission through?

Who is he?"

After speaking with Samantha several times I had this image of this regular guy who was

grieving and who wanted to find some way to bring down the alliance that had caused so

much destruction in their wake.

I felt his motivations were pretty close a movie character who was a citizen turned terrorist

mastermind who sought revenge after losing his family, becoming obsessed with destroying

the "good guys", and I was definitely inspired by it.

I imagined him traveling with this Gemini droid who had somehow found him, taking whatever

enhancements he could get, like Gemini cybernetics, to get him closer to his goal.

He would have traveled extensively, fighting and surviving - searching for the weapon to

destroy the alliance for what they had done.

That was why in the concept, I gave his armor more of a dented and really worn feel - he'd

been through a lot to enact his plan.

I knew he was an ex-Horizon Guard so I definitely wanted to include elements of Horizon Guard

armor like the black plating and the gold trimming to hint at that.

The senior character artist Dustin Gagner later changed it to silver to give the outfit

a more neutral relationship for other color dyes to work with.

I also reasoned that he was mourning the losses in Zakuul and what it used to be.

Initially I wanted to have a black cloth band on his arm, which often symbolizes mourning,

but there was feedback that it could mean something else unintentionally so that was

scrapped.

Instead, I placed a badge on his chest with a black band around it to kind of point towards

that.

This type of subtle symbolism has been an important part of the game's armor design

since the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion, from the ornate armor of the emperor of Zakuul

to the small-scale designs on the royal family's belts.

Charles Boyd, the creative director of the game, helped shape the Eternal Empire's

presence in the third and fourth expansion.

CHARLES: The designs for these characters serve several goals - they demonstrate the

power and opulence of the Eternal Empire, setting it apart from the Republic and the

Sith in clear ways.

Their costuming also contains lots of elements of ancient Zakuulan culture, helping to show

that this is a long-standing civilization with its own past and traditions.

Finally, I think they do a good job of not being inherently "good" or "evil"

– the details and use of color often subvert expectations in interesting ways.

Even the Horizon Guard uniform that Vinn Atrius's armor was modeled off of contains key elements

from Zakuulan design, while his unique helmet was influenced by another key character in

the Fallen Empire's storyline.

The helmet went through a bunch of iterations that received a lot of feedback from different

people, but I just wanted to make a cool helmet that would stand out in silhouette and at

the same time have some kind of shape relationship with the Gemini droids.

Maybe the Gemini droid he was with had helped him craft it.

I liked how it came out but I'm not sure if the players do!

I think Samantha and the writing team also had a pretty good idea what voice actor they

wanted for Vinn Atrius, and so I tried to take that into consideration in the head design.

The cool hair treatment that he got came a little later as the creative director wanted

to give him a more of a ronin feel, as a samurai without a lord or master, which worked well

with the character's theme.

After the concept was completed, it was handed to a character artist who did a really great

job breathing life into the character.

We would occasionally talk about adjustments that had to be made, because a lot of times

concepts have difficulty being translated one-to-one.

It really was a team effort to create this character!

When the game was first released, the design team focused on creating iconic, class-themed

armors and outfits.

Many of the armors were even locked to specific classes, so you could always tell that an

individual character was a Trooper or a Sith just by looking at them.

Over time, the team embraced the players' wish for individuality and expression through

their own personal character design.

Not only are there now unique armor designs that fall outside the original 8 class archetypes,

players can also choose their armor with fewer restrictions, and even dye their armor in

ways that the original concept artists may have never imagined.

From the perspective of generating the character models in game, the priority is affected by

what artist is available to take on a new task and what content is coming down the pipe.

We want the new outfit to be innovative and show a different look from existing outfits.

Concept artists have the opportunity to work closely with the Character Artists and the

VFX artists to experiment with new archetypes and VFX on armor.

So, for instance, sometimes a Cartel Market item may take priority because it has some

special new feature we haven't done before, such as a new kind of cape, like the Force

Apprentice set.

Over the years since the game's launch, the development team has added numerous technical

armor improvements to their toolbox.

Some of the more interesting additions include:

The outfit designer which allows players to separate the stats and the look of their armor

Higher resolution textures for newer armor New styles of capes and stoles

Weapon Tunings, which allow greater character customization of weapons

And even animated armor or armor that has a special effect when you draw your weapon

the Tactical Infantry Set

Other things that will take priority are key story characters or creatures and bosses that

are important to get done both in a timely manner, and on style.

We also put into consideration how the new outfit theme fits in with the Old Republic

universe.

Star Wars itself has a distinctive style, and the designs are very different from other

sci-fi movies with its own uniqueness and boldness.

We try to create something fresh looking while keeping the essence of the Ralph McQuarrie

Star Wars design.

After finishing the main design of an outfit, turnaround drawings and call outs are prepared

for the character team.

Turnaround drawings are essential for the 3D team as it allows them to accurately build

the concept idea.

Our modelers usually own a character once concept has finished with a design.

They will see the character through the high poly modeling all the way to integrating it

into game.

The stages of production start with realizing the design from concept in Zbrush to create

a high poly model built on one of the base body types.

Once finished, and approved, the artist will then create the low poly, unwrap its UV's

and texture the game version in Substance Painter and Photoshop.

During this process, once the first game version is made, it is then resized by hand to fit

all 8 body types.

For materials we have different channels of the textures we use that allow us to represent

different levels of reflectivity to give the appearance of different materials, including

cloth, leather and metal.

These channels are in grayscale so how smooth, rough or reflective something appears is controlled

by how white or black it is in its respective texture.

We use a complex clothing physics system that was created and optimized by our talented

engineers.

In short, we use bone chains that we skin the cloth to and then set up collider volumes

to keep it from clipping into the body or legs.

The bone chains have their own values we can adjust to make something more springy or stiff

etc.

This allows us to give the appearance of flowing cloth while maintaining better performance.

From concept artist to character artist, each member of the development team plays a key

part in creating armor in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Every part of process must be given careful consideration, starting with ideation and

sketches, and ending with the technical work done by a character artist to allow the concept

artist's ideas to come to life - so the next time you play Star Wars: The Old Republic,

take a close look at your character's armor and see what kind of story it can tell.
