Aw man, this is so cool!

I'm so cool!

[snap]

And, we're back to reality...

Hello everyone and welcome to DIY in 5, the show where we get you all caught up on your

tech knowledge so you can chat gadgets and build robots with the best of 'em.

I don't think we've actually done a robot episode yet - that'll be a fun one!

My name is Trisha Hershberger and today we are talking about augmented reality you can

experience all from your Android phone!

A few weeks back we did an iPhone-specific AR video and if you want to check that out,

you can do so by clicking here!

In that video we went over some of the augmented reality basics - what it is, how it's different

from VR, etc. and the TL:DR version of that is that augmented reality, or AR,

is digital information overlaid on top of actual reality.

So virtual reality is an entirely digital world and augmented reality is your world, just better.

If you think Pokémon Go, that's a really well-known example of Augmented Reality.

Another really cool thing about AR is that you

don't need a one thousand dollar headset to experience it.

Modern android phones will do just fine!

In February of 2018, Google announced ARCore,

their platform for building augmented reality experiences.

ARCore uses three main capabilities to allow devs to place virtual content into real world:

motion tracking, understanding the environment and estimating light levels.

This is great because the simpler it becomes to develop AR, the more AR we get as the consumer.

The catch?

You need a compatible Android phone to make all the magic happen.

Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy S7 or newer, LG V30, ASUS' Zenfone AR or OnePlus 5

are a few that are currently compatible, and Google is teaming up with

other smartphone manufacturers: Sony, Huawei, Vivo, etc,

to get the AR Pokéball rolling soon.

Speaking of AR Pokéballs, there are a ton of fantastic AR apps available right now on Android,

other than Pokémon Go.

Let's talk about Ingress, the game that was around long before Pokémon Go,

from the same developer team, Niantic, that really laid the groundwork

for the game we all now know so well.

Ingress turns our world into a complex, sci-fi world where you fight for either the Resistance

or the Enlightened, capturing virtual portals by traveling to them in the real world for your side.

They do a lot of immersive, real world events to pull players even deeper into the game

and I can say from experience, it's pretty cool.

Another fun AR app currently available for Android

is Quiver, the augmented reality coloring book.

You can download real coloring pages from the internet, color them in, then the app

brings your creations to life -- some of them will even play games with you.

This is great for getting your kids into AR.

Or what about coloring digital art into your world?

Just a Line lets you draw things in AR space and they stay where you draw them.

Have you been shopping for a tattoo but not sure how it will look?

Inkhunter has a huge library of tattoos that you can try out

on whatever part of your body you'd like and inspect it from all angles.

Some other, more useful AR apps I really like include Star Walk 2.

You hold your phone up to the sky and the display shows the names of the stars, planets,

constellations and even moving satellites.

If you like to hike, ViewRanger lets you discover trails nearby.

And of course, Google Translate will translate written language in real time to your phone

so you can read street signs, menus, etc. in another language.

Another AR beast from Google is Google Lens, which will intelligently analyze any photo

and provides any information Google can find about it,

including analyzing any text it can find in the photo which is very impressive.

There's new augmented reality being developed all the time and I for one am very happy about it!

Here's to hoping the new AR game Ghostbusters World

will be more than just Pokémon Go with proton packs...

I got to play it a little bit at San Diego Comic-Con this year and it looks promising.

So, what other cool AR apps are you using or looking forward to right now?

Sound off in the comments.

I'm Trisha Hershberger and you've been watching DIYin5.

See ya next time! ...if you subscribe, so then you'll know next time we upload a video is.

It's like right around here somewhere probably?

Okay bye!

Shareholders Take Exxon To Court For Their Roll In Climate Change - Duration: 4:21.

Exxon's facing a new wave of lawsuits, this time from shareholders who are losing money

because the company covered up the dangers of climate change for decades.

Now, I've got to tell you something.

Every now and then, you'll see a case on climate change that you say, "You know what?

That's probably going to work."

You and I talked about the children's case that was filed where you had children that

were filing cases where they're asking the court to tell the government on a writ of

mandamus, "You must comply with the law.

You must comply with the clean air bill."

That was something that will work.

I feel like that will work.

This is another one.

Shareholders said, "Look, Exxon, you lied to us.

You had us investing all this money.

While we were doing that, you didn't tell us where this could end up.

It's going to end up badly.

What's your take?

We have evidence, paper evidence, documents, from Exxon that show that ... I believe it

was 1948, was one of the first times they admitted amongst themselves internally that,

"Hey, there is a direct connection between what we do and this thing we're calling a

Greenhouse Effect."

Okay, fast forward to the 70s.

They 100% knew about it.

Their documents were all over on it.

This was before the public had any idea what global warming or Greenhouse Effect was.

Exxon has known for probably 80 years at least that climate change is real, that what they

were doing was making it worse.

So for 80 years, they've been lying and withholding this information from their shareholders.

And taking shareholder money.

Right.

And saying, "We're going to prove that this is not true.

There's not enough science."

While they were saying there wasn't enough science, their own in-house scientists were

saying, "Yeah, climate change is true.

Oh, by the way, greenhouse gases are caused by what we're selling, as far as fossil fuels."

The number I think was like 180 reports.

Maybe you remember exactly, but it's around 180 reports that came in from in-house, that

all concluded at least part of what we're talking about here.

The only they shared with the public with their shareholders were about 15.

Even those, they kind of phonied up to make it look like there's not a problem here.

So I think the shareholder case has real possibility, shareholder derivative case, in this situation

has a possibility at least in getting us as far as telling the whole story.

This won't simply go away.

Documents are going to continue coming in.

We're going to see the Tillerson ... You know, Rex Tillerson, this guy that everybody, "Oh

my God, he's such an important part of government.

If Trump gets rid of Tillerson, it's going to be total disaster."

Tillerson was behind all this.

Tillerson was the voice going all over the world saying all this stuff about greenhouse

gas and climate change is a bunch of bunk, it's all phonied up by activists, doesn't

mean anything.

Now we're going to see what Rex Tillerson knew when he was out there saying that.

Well, yeah absolutely.

We know what Rex Tillerson knew.

We know the documents he was sitting on.

We know what he was covering up.

We know which front groups he was funding and giving money to to say that climate change

isn't real.

There is no question whatsoever about what Exxon did here.

The shareholders know it now.

They finally have had their eyes opened.

It's just a little disappointing that the only time we can hold them accountable for

climate change-

Is cases like these.

Yeah, it's because rich people lost a little money.

Well, think about this.

Here, you don't have to show causation.

Right.

You don't have to show, "Well, the science is in dispute here, it's in agreement here."

You have to, as a jury, decide ... First of all, the shareholder derivative case is going

to be in front of a judge.

What's going to be decided is, "How much information did you hide from the American public?"

How did you draw shareholders into continuing to invest in your company, when in your own

file cabinet you had these letters, you had memos, you had reports from your own scientists

saying, "This is a big deal.

We have to do something about it"?

And other shareholders at other oil companies need to follow suit as well to see what the

company they're investing in has been hiding, too.

Yeah, Farron, thanks for joining me.

We'll pick up some more news on this story I'm sure time and time again.

Springing Off a Dock | BoatUS - Duration: 2:21.

If the wind is blowing hard, it can be hard to get off the dock, so today I'm going to

show you a simple rope technique to get you clear.

Hi, I'm Mark Corke from BoatUS Magazine and we're going to use a technique called "springing

off."

And that is just using a rope around the piling and back to the boat, no bow, no stern thrusters,

and we'll get clear of the dock without doing any damage to the boat or the dock.

You'll notice that I have a line attached to a midships cleat, and then I'll run this

line forward around a cleat or piling on the dock.

I then loop this around and run it back on board.

We don't want to tie the line off to the dock because once we've swung the bow out, we want

to be able to let the line run around the cleat, or in this case the piling, and bring

it quickly back on board.

You'll need a helper for this maneuver, and I'm lucky enough to have Lenny to help me.

He's got two jobs: One is to hold the end of the line and be ready to let go when I

say and also to position a fender between the dock and the hull to save damaging the

boat.

With one turn around the cleat, the line is quite secure, and it will not be pulled from

Lenny's hand.

Now, I'm shifting the boat into stern gear and you'll notice that the tension comes up

on the line.

You'll also want to turn the wheel towards the dock to let the bow swing out.

When the bow of the boat is all clear of the dock and the boat is at a 45-degree angle

or so, swiftly shift into forward and at the same time turn the wheel the other way.

It's necessary to move swiftly during this maneuver as we don't want the boat to be swung

back into the dock and do any damage to either the boat or those that may be front or behind

us.

As the boat gathers way in forward, get the crew to take the turn off the cleat and drop

the line overboard.

Bring the fenders back in board, and pull the line back onto the boat.

Keep going forward until you're all clear.

So there you have it.

I've used a rope and a simple technique to get away from the dock.

It's no big deal.

Go out, practice this on your own boat.

Then if it's really windy, you'll know exactly what to do.

Don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel, and we'll see you on the water.

Thanks for watching.

Samsung Galaxy Note9 Smartphone Review | Future Reviews | NowThis - Duration: 6:22.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9

is Samsung's latest addition to their Note

flagship phone line.

And it won't be hard to pick out of a lineup.

This is a gigantic phone.

It's the largest Samsung has ever made.

And with big phone,

comes big potential.

The Note9 has some great quality to

it. It had huge screen,

a big battery,

and powerful hardware.

It comes with either 128 GB

or 512 GB of

internal storage

with the ability to expand if necessary.

And it supports fast charging,

so you never need to wait too long to have a full battery.

Samsung gave us this phone for review purposes,

so that's what we'll be using.

It's the same phone that you're going to find in stores.

Samsung is killing it

with their camera game recently.

The S9 has a beautiful camera

and the Note9 follow suit.

It uses A.I. to detect the scene you're

photographing,

and changes its settings automatically to give

you the finest photo.

So say you're taking a picture of a flower,

it might bump up the saturation,

or blur the background a bit more than if

you're taking a photo of the landscape.

And it works in the background,

so you don't even notice it.

And if you want to photograph like a pro,

you can always turn that off,

and tweak the settings exactly how you want them.

But for most of us this is really great.

It also has a dual aperture,

just like the S9,

which I love. It can open

and close like a human iris to let in more

light, which means you get stunning

photos very,

very low light.

One of Samsung's biggest bragging points for this phone

is the battery life,

and I have to say I was pretty impressed

with it. It has a 4000

mAh hour battery,

which is the largest ever on a Note phone.

And Samsung says it will last all day,

and it does.

I use my phone a lot.

Like, a ton,

all day,

and I had no problem

with this phone's battery.

I'd usually get it down to about 50 to

60 percent at the end of the day,

which is great given the size

and the power of this phone.

Thumbs up on that one.

Samsung put a big focus on gaming

this time around, which is super important right now.

There are a lot of electronic companies that are putting

out gaming specific phones,

like Razer, like Asus,

and others.

And it makes sense.

I mean if a phone can handle serious gameplay,

it can handle just about anything.

Now, I've been playing some graphic-heavy games

on this phone,

like Fortnite,

and it stood up to the test.

I'd play similar games on other phones,

and it drain the battery,

and get really, really hot.

So to curb the heat,

Samsung added a water-carbon cooling

system on the phone,

which actually seems to be doing its job.

I mean, I can feel the temperature change

when I'm playing, but it's not overheating.

And that helps with the phone's performance,

as well.

The big screen makes games super immersive,

too. So,

this is one of the major differentiators of

the Note series.

It's the S Pen.

I have to say, I thought I'd use it a lot more than

I did, but I guess I'm a texter

more than a drawer.

I did use the screen off memos feature

more than once, and I found it useful.

They actually added Bluetooth capabilities

to the pen now, too,

which is cool in very

specific situations.

You can change a song,

and you can take a selfie,

and flip through a presentation just using

the pen,

which is really kind of cool,

but I don't really do those things on a

regular basis.

What is exciting are the possibilities

of a Bluetooth enabled S Pen in future

devices.

I'm picturing like a Nintendo Switch situation,

where you can use the pen as a controller

for games, or write something on any

surfers and it'll appear in your notes.

But this is a good half step forward.

Now Bixby is a point of contention

for me. I respect what Samsung is

trying to do.

Everyone else has done it

with their assistants.

Siri with the iPhone.

Google Assistant with the Pixel phones.

They build it into the functionality of

the phone so that it's easier for us to

use. Or rather they force

us to use them.

But Samsung took it a step further when

they introduced the Bixby Key

with the S8.

It's a button on the side of the phone that you cannot

remap unless you do some very tricksy

things with it.

See, I kept pressing the Bixby button accidentally

when I'd just go to open my phone,

and I had to get used to just closing it immediately.

And for all of the phones since the

S8, you have at least been able to turn

off the Bixby Key,

so that the key doesn't do anything.

But with the Note9,

they've even taken that functionality away.

I have to say, that sort of made me not want

to use Bixby ever.

If an assistant is annoying,

you're not going to want to use that assistance.

But they're trying to get users to use it because

they're building it into all of their other smart

devices that they make.

So basically, get used to it

or get another phone.

Okay, so this is a real treat.

When DeX was first announced

with the Galaxy S8,

I was absolutely floored.

But it needed a bunch of extra accessories

to use it, like a mouse,

a keyboard, and a dock.

But Samsung made a bold move

and made DeX available on every Note9,

and all you need is an HDMI-compatible

monitor and a UCB-C to

HDMI cord.

DeX runs a complete desktop experience

from your phone,

and the screen turns into a trackpad,

so you don't even need a mouse.

And the screen also has a small keyboard for

typing, but you can hook up a Bluetooth

keyboard to the phone if you want more typing space.

And with the Note9's powerful specs,

the DeX experience is super smooth.

To me, this is the future of laptops,

and even some desktop computers.

Mobile devices that can be hooked up

to larger displays,

anywhere, anytime.

Since the S8,

I think that Samsung has been delivering some

really great innovative ideas,

but some of them just need a little

bit more perfected.

Like the S Pen.

I love the idea of enabling it

with Bluetooth,

but I'm really excited to see what they do

with it in the future.

And with the DeX system.

I love the DeX system,

but I need to figure out a way to fit it into my

everyday routine.

And Bixby.

I don't know what to say about the future Bixby,

but let's just hope that they find their stride

without forcing it on their customers.

That said, Samsung is often rolled

with the punches, and come back

with something really awesome.

And I think they've done that again

with this phone.

The Note starts at

$999, and goes up to

$1299. All told,

this is a really great phone.

If you like big phones,

if you like Samsung's brand of Android,

or know how to change it if you don't like it,

if you play lots of games,

if you watch lots of movies,

if you take lots of notes,

this is an obvious choice.

Does not matter what you're gonna say I'm gonna care, that's what I say

Home, it's time for you to come home

Ho la la la, ho la la

Doesn't matter what you're gonna say Just say it

Whatever I'm gonna care about it

Doesn't matter what you're gonna say Just say it

Whatever I'm gonna care about it

Proudly Sponsoring the 2018 VFW Convention | Humana - Duration: 2:42.

Being a veteran means...

Being a veteran means to me...

Being a veteran to me is putting your country first.

That I have given back in some small measure the things, the opportunity that America has

given me.

It gets to me.

Yeah, big ol' guy.

We're in Kansas City.

We have our VFW 119th National Convention.

We must unite in our common goal of serving veterans, their families and the military

community.

Humana's got a long history of helping veterans.

And thank you for serving our country.

Thank you.

And Humana is a sponsor of the convention.

We're grateful for the opportunity to provide access to high quality, innovative and cost-effective

health and well-being services to those who have served our nation and their families.

Then, you blow out for two beats.

They were showing how playing a harmonica can help improve breathing.

I could feel the difference.

We're partnering with the VFW in a food drive, where our goal is to collect 50,000

meals here at this convention.

We're dividing them up into smaller bags and sending them out to needy families in

our communities.

That's awesome.

Humana remains committed to combatting food insecurity and other social determinants of

health that can impact our communities, such as loneliness and social isolation and we're

doing this through our Bold Goal initiative.

Humana's Bold Goal is to help make the communities we serve 20% healthier by the year 2020.

We're one team, one partnership.

At the end of the day, we want to take care of our veterans.

We want to make sure their quality of life is being met and that their healthcare concerns

are first and foremost.

Humana is a great organization, and I feel truly special just to be offered this opportunity.

On behalf of a proud and grateful nation.

We are now welcoming home Vietnam veterans.

Thank you again for your service, for what you do for us, for all the people out there

in Maryland.

My hanky's getting soaking wet.

Being a veteran to me means that I've accomplished something in my life that not a lot of people

have.

In the end, it means everything.

I have the satisfaction of knowing I served my country, friendships that I'll never

forget.

Unity In-App purchases IAP integration [COMPLETE GUIDE] 01 - Duration: 14:28.

hellow friends

and welcome to my channel

today in this video we

will talk about in-Apps

that how you can implement inapps in your game

and earn money from them

and settings on playstore

i.e creating apps on playstore

and through code integrate them in your app

here you can see i have created a project

and

here i have services tab opened

so first thing u need to do is

goto services Tab and

here you will find all the services

provided by unity

here at the bottom you can see In-App Purchases

its a cross platform service

means they will work both on android ios and other platforms

so before integrating in apps

i want to talk about the benefits of in apps

recently

a report from fortune.com

in 2018 playstore sales from in apps

are 58.6 billion

so this is fastest growing

trend

bcoz ads dont give u much earnings compare to in apps

for addicting game in apps does rock

so lets start and enable this service for our project

turn it on

and the plugin will be imported automatically

to use in apps u need a playstore developer account

without account you cannot create in apps for your game

click on enable button

after continue you will see

list of stores supported by plugin

just click on import

it will take some time to import

when its done importing u will see

[i already have impoted googlePlayServices and Mobile Ads imported]

so if u follow my playlist on GooglePlayServices on my channel

i have shown step by step

how you can create game on playstore

and implement Ads

LeaderBoard, Acheivements, Multiplayer

check video description for links to watch videos

so here in plugins folder

sdk is imported

click on import

it will show installNow option

click on it to install

the plugin will be installed

so the package is available now

i will import it to my assets

click on i made a backup

it will remove all the obselete files

the package is now sucessfully imported

here u can

see in the plugins folder

2 new folders are added

make sure u dont have any error on console

if there is any error remove newly created folders and reimport th plugin

so after importing the plugin

so now

go to google and search for unity in app

and goto following link

its on unity official website

everything is explained step by step here

if u want to read go ahead

we will use the script

copy it

and we will change it accordingly

we will create a new c# script with name Purchaser.cs

now open it in visual studio or any textEditor

and remove everything

and paster the copied code from unity website

remove the namespace code

also last bracket needs to be removed

now scroll down

you will see some public string ids

so basically three types of

in Apps are available

some products are Consumeable

just like coins if a user buy coins he can sonsume these coins (e.g buy powers, clothes ,characters etc..)

he can again purchase the coins

it means coins are consumeable

he consumes and buy again and again

Non Consumeable

example is if u have a game

and shirts are inapps

or different cars

so once user buy a car he dont need to

buy the same car again

it means cars, shirts are non consumeable

user can only buy once

3rd type is subscription products

consider

if u have a game with ads

and u have

created a InApp product called Adfree

and if user buy that product or subscribe

then ads wont show

we will discuss subscription in some other video

but mostly consumeable and nonConsumeables are used

here we have some default ids

we will declare our own product ids

these ids

will be your playstore account inapp product ids

goto your developers account and click on your project

here you will see In-App products

To use that you need to upload signed apk of your game

in this script there is an error

comment scoreManager

go back

error is gone now

so first of all we need apk

we will build signed apk

if u dont know how to build signed apk google it

u just need to fill some information in keystore and thats it

u will find plenty of tuts on youtube

or read official documentation

lets build the apk

after building

we will upload it on playstore

then

we will create in app products

and further work will be done in next video

Like and subscribe thanks
