Pixel 3 release : The shock theory that could reveal Google's big surprise | Tech News - Duration: 2:05.
GOOGLE Pixel 3 is presumably less than a month away from being announced but a shock theory
has recently emerged surrounding the Android flagship that may have uncovered a huge surprise.
Google Pixel 3 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year.
That's because it is expected to build upon everything its predecessors did right in addition
to addressing fan criticisms.
Pixel 3 is expected to come in two varieties; one is predicted to tout a 5.5-inch display
while the larger Pixel 3 XL is presumed to boast a panel over six inches.
It seemed as though the lid had been lifted on both devices ahead of a presumed announcement
at Google's October 9 hardware event.
Videos and images had emerged of both alleged pieces of hardware with the Pixel 3 XL seemingly
being plagued by the most leaks.
The larger flagship was shown touting an all-screen design that featured a notch at the top.
As leaks emerged prominent YouTubers created content expressing their distaste for the
design compromise.
One such channel was "Front Page Tech", that recently made a video declaring Google had
contacted its host, Jon Prosser, about using a clip of him criticising the alleged device
shown in leaks.
Such speculation about a third Pixel 3 device was heightened after images were posted on
SlashLeaks by a user showing hardware with minimal bezels and no notch who claimed they
were from setup pages as they updated to Android 9 Pie on a Pixel 2 XL.
A video was displayed on one particular setup page that showed the back of the device touting
a similar-looking two-tone design Pixel hardware has become renowned for.
The images led to suggestions online such a futuristic-looking piece of hardware could
be a so-far unannounced flagship from Google.
Although such a shock theory has not been confirmed, Google fans will not have to wait
long to see what is in store for the Pixel product line.

Nike Stock Reaches All Time High Following Controversial Kaepernick Ad - Duration: 4:35.
Nike Incorporated has taken some hits after featuring controversial National Football
League player Colin Kaepernick in its Just Do It ad campaign.
The move sparked boycotts and protests from those who condemned the player for kneeling
during the national anthem to protest racism and police brutality in the United States,
but taking a stand on social issues seems good for business.
At least, it does in this instance, as Nike stock reached an all-time high of $82.20 per
share last Friday.
And while some people have actually burned their Nike shoes in protest, the Colin Kaepernick
campaign is already making millions for the sportswear company.
Mollye Barrows, journalist with the Ring of Fire Network, joins us with more.
Mollye, thanks for being with us.
Was the campaign a big risk for Nike from the beginning?
Well, you might have thought so based on some of the social media videos that you saw with
folks burning their Nike shoes or tearing their socks with the Nike symbol on it, but
this company has a long history of associating itself with social issues and coming out on
top when it comes to advertising.
In fact, Apex Marketing said that they've made about, oh gosh, 43 million in media exposure
in the first 24 hours alone of releasing this ad.
So Nike, arguably one of the most successful marketing companies in the world, they must
know their numbers, Bart, because they certainly seem to be coming out on top of this.
I'm sure they knew they would lose a few customers, but in the end, they know their customers,
and it's a young base.
Most of them are under 35.
They come from a variety of racial backgrounds.
Certainly an issue like the one that Kaepernick is taking a stand on they're going to relate
to, and millennials in general want to support companies that support causes that they also
support.
So all in all, this could be a win for Nike, and it looks like it has been so far.
Are they putting some big bucks into this?
I mean, how much are they investing in this campaign?
You know, I don't have the exact number, but apparently this new deal, which was an extension
of a deal that Nike already had with Kaepernick, is worth millions and millions.
This is a star deal, is what they call it, so they must expect something to come out
of it.
And, in fact, if you take a look at his numbers before ...
By the way, if protestors did want to boycott Nike, they're going to have a difficult time
doing it, because they are the outfitter for the NFL, and to that point, Kaepernick's jersey
has always been one of the top 50 sellers, or it has been in recent years, and after
he took a knee recently, igniting this whole firestorm of controversy over the protests,
his jersey became one of the top sellers.
So Nike, while taking a stand on the social issues, certainly isn't going to be lost on
the opportunity for business, I do believe.
Yeah, and when you look at this time of year, back to school time in the US, you often see
these sports brands, like Nike, that outfit so many schools, you can see their stocks
taking a bump, they call that, Almanac Analytics that the traders look at.
All right, let me ask you this, Mollye.
Brands have traditionally avoided taking these sort of really controversial stands on social
issues, like Dick's with guns, et cetera, and Walmart, but is this a sign that maybe
more businesses will sort of joining in on these social issues?
Well, some of the articles that I read, more and more businesses are taking a look at it
and asking themselves that same question.
Nike has a history going back to the 1990s of pairing up with controversial issues, supporting
an athlete that was HIV positive back in 1995, along with women's issues and getting equal
play and equal time in sports as well, from different walks of life.
So there are other companies that have taken this same approach, but basically they advise
if you are going to align yourself with a social cause, don't jump into every single
one head first and expect that it's going to pay off for you.
It's got to be something that's in keeping with your brand already.
Take the Body Shop, for example.
That was established years ago as using very natural products, and so they partner on a
variety of issues that support their brand, like no testing of animals when it comes to
cosmetics.
And then there's another, REI.
It's a outdoor sports company, and they also took a stand after the Parkland shooting,
started asking some of their vendors, one in particular, do you make these sort of destructive
weapons.
And it was not in an attacking sort of way.
It was we want to vet our vendors and have all that information out there so that our
customers can make choices when it comes to the products that they buy.
So it just depends on if basically these companies find something that works with the brand that
they have already and can do it in a way that rings true with their customers.
Mollye Barrows, journalist with the Ring of Fire Network.
Thanks so much, Mollye.
Appreciate it.
Thanks, Bart.

Ben Etherington: Primitivist Transformation & The Fuckable Utopia - Duration: 8:11.
LBW: But I do want to go because I think
using this id film as a good example of
what we're talking about so if you
wouldn't mind I mean using this film as
a way cuz I know I know that when you
talk about here I just want to point to
this part I really like this this
introduction because you're like the
Na'vi were to be blue tall muscular sleek
and felines the Na'vi of course are the
people the the tribe the alien tribe
that you know that are trying to protect
their planet or their moon I guess it is
from from humans from excavating and
exploiting it right so they had to be
alien enough to be plausibly
otherworldly but take a form the concept
artists Jordu Schell recalled Cameron
stipulating that the audience has to
want to fuck so I love it because he's
like among other thing
BEN ETHERINGTON: That is that is so pre me isn't that comment
LBW: No I love it
BEN ETHERINGTON: Even that is ten years later
That seems like a different world
LBW: I know but it's so good because it's it's you're saying exactly
what it is because I you know you you
point to the fact that when they were
designing the characters making the
prototypes for those characters Schell
this this designer this concept artist
he had pinned up pictures of beautiful
ethnic women quote beautiful ethnic
women to ensure that his feline aliens
would reflect the ids of teenage boys
who made up the keep the film's key
demographics and I know I've been quoting your
essay a lot but I think it's such a
poignant essay and I think what you
there's so many great points in this
thing but I just want to highlight it
for people so people can read it because
it's such a good essay but you but you
know you start this essay off talking
about something that we can all kind of
relate to you know you're not talking
about John Zerzan or some Picasso
painting or you know something that
maybe is a little bit more in the past a
little more distant or maybe on the
fringes of Western societies
consciousness and our understanding of
say primitivist ideas you're you're
getting to something that has been you
know one of the highest-grossing films
of all time and I think a big part of
why it was so attractive to people and
why like I mentioned there was an Avatar
depression it wasn't just the visuals it
wasn't just how stunning it looked but
it was this sense of disenchantment that
you point to that you just mentioned
earlier disenchantment
with the world like we don't feel that
the world is sacred anymore we don't
feel that there is this natural
inspiring wonder that just exists I mean
we look oftentimes many people live in
cities and in urban environments we
don't you know I think a lot of our
evolved reward systems in our biological
bodies are bodies themselves we don't
feel a lot of we don't get a lot of that
feeling anymore that I guess we imagine
that so-called primitive people would
feel from being about the world and
understanding how to live in the world
in a more integrated and and I guess
more connected way and so when I think
that film came out I guess I just want
to ask you like if we can use the film
as a way to sort of structure this idea
that we're talking about here of of
racializing because there is a
racialization of primitivist
philosophy primitives ideas
that we've been talking about so if you
want to use that film as an example to
sort of convey that idea to the
listeners that would be fantastic
I think that that's actually an astute account extremely
astute account of Avatar's appeal that
after twenty thirty years of a high
degree of skepticism about that kind of
idealism primitive idealism and
not just in you know specialized
academic conversation but also I guess
more broadly a kind of postmodern
cynicism that movie came in and it said
this primitivist
set of instincts it's really powerful
out there that there's a sense that
we're destroying something really that's
absolutely essential to our sense of who
we are and what we ought to be and we're
going to play on that and we're going to
pull in the id of these young boys that
going to the mall on the weekends and
watch blockbuster film we're going to
pull in their desires and channel it
through this very ancient narrative
and what could be more ancient in
scriptural cultures and oral cultures
than the idea of an originally natural
condition and the and the whole journey
of restoring that if you look at
Christianity Islam Judaism they're all
based on the adventure of restoring Eden
and that's what Avatar did it told in a
sense an almost biblical narrative but
one that was realize through science
fiction where here is this a Edenic
planet Pandora I mean there's a similar
planet in Star Wars isn't there I might
argue that this is repeated in
blockbuster but here's this identic
planet and it's about to be crushed by
who else but us the people who are
watching this movie in the mall in some
highly artificial constructed suburb in
the middle of you know an American and
suburb
we are destroying this Eden and
you will go through this journey with
Jack Sully the US Marine as he
encounters real nature bonds with this
other self this natural self the Na'vi
people makes love to the most beautiful
Na'vi woman modeled as you said on
quote-unquote beautiful ethnic wom
beyond you know that kind of white
dominated settler colonial and
post-industrial society and you will be
able to experience this visually
stunning world created by CGI in 3d and
everything and you will come out feeling
like you've come into contact with
something really essential and important
and you're absolutely right
Cameron doesn't care about cliches and
he doesn't care about repeating these
narratives because he knows that this is
gonna touch people and it's gonna sell a
lot of movies and I think what your
listeners if they connected with that
film or if they at least found that film
compelling what they will recognize is
that in spite of
aforementioned postmodern cynicism and a
sense that everything is discourse and
constructed by the way we talk about
things and permeated by the history of
colonialism and racism nevertheless this
desire this desire for for an originally
natural condition still has a massive
pulling power in our present and I guess
I thing I would say to people who are
thinking critically about this for the
first time is not simply to say well
look you know here's a kind of
patriarchal racist set of ideas
therefore this whole form of idealism is
inherently bogus I would say if those
ideas or that impulse is something you
can understand and connect with and on
and something on which you want to act
to save the environment or whatever it
might be I think about well what do you
do with that impulse and how do you
translate that impulse and that idealism
into action of one sort and I think
that's where the conversation ought to
go rather than one being about is primitivism bogus or is it legitimate

How to Create a 3D Effect by Shading - Narrated Drawing Tutorial - Duration: 3:37.
Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!
I am Leonardo Pereznieto and I want to show you, how with shading
you can give life and volume to your drawings.
Here we have a line drawing, which I am wrapping up by adding her wings.
Both elements in this drawing, the fairy and the hand, look totally flat
because it is just an outline.
Ok, and now comes the exciting part: let's add shading to the drawing
trying to make it so that it looks three dimensional
or at least with some volume, like it is coming off the paper.
We begin this by giving a tone to the pencil.
It is important that it has shading,
what I mean is that one side is darker than the other one,
and also that it is projecting a cast shadow
on the surface.
So we do this cast shadow of the hand and of course of the pencil.
For now I'm doing it pretty light but I may darken it a bit more
as needed after shading the hand.
Very good!
Now let's shade the fingers.
Starting with the pinky.
I'm using carbon pencils which are made with a mixture of graphite and charcoal.
So they deliver really black blacks .
For the line sketch though I use a mechanical pencil
with graphites leds, of course.
The list of materials is in the information below the video.
You can perform the shading in many ways.
I'm doing it more or less in parallel lines trying to follow the shape that I am drawing.
If the surface is flat I pretty much make straight lines.
And if it is curving I try to follow the shape.
Here we add some wrinkles as the skin folds.
I am considering the light source to be toward the top right and therefore
all the surfaces that are toward the lower left will be the darkest and also the cast
shadow will be projected toward the left and low.
Let's give a light tone to this area
and then reinforce the dark side of it here on the edge,
to the part where the wrist and the forearm turn away from the light.
I started shading lightly and then I come back and reinforce some areas.
If in some places I went way too dark what I can do is pick up some of the carbon
dabbing with the kneaded eraser.
And it´s ready!
Please let me know what do you think about it...
and if you enjoyed it, please give it a LIKE! share it to your friends
and subscribe to Fine Art-Tips.
And I will see you on Tuesday ;)

How To Get SEO Clients By Interviewing Them ( CREATIVE PROSPECTING ) - Duration: 8:34.
all righty. and we're back like Arnold
like I said back like in vertebrates.
alright alright vertebrae I'm sorry
anyway alright so this is how to get SEO
clients using the interview method now
what do I mean by that
what is the interview method alright
so every industry has its problems in
every industry has certain ways of
getting around those problems the good
thing about it is every single person in
the industry considers themselves as an
expert even when they suck so what you
want to do is go after people that you
know are not the top people in the
industry and you want to act to
interview them and tell them that a lot
of local people will see this and
they'll have a chance of getting clients
from it so you want to interview them on
the issues of their industry and discuss
solutions for coming out of it all right
so during this you're going to have your
little list of questions that you ask
and I'm very concerned and hit the trip
questions and you're going to take down
information of course of course yes and
you're going towards the end of
interview you're going to start asking
questions like well this is doing a
solution part you're going some sneak in
SEO somewhere you're gonna ask them what
their take is on SEO and if they speak
highly of SEO you're gonna take note of
that you're not gonna try to pitch them
right there and again you're not gonna
put them on the spot and say well if you
think is yo good why don't you have your
SEO going or something you're not gonna
do all of it okay cuz that does the same
genuine is saying like you just tricked
them and get them on the interview all
right so you want to gather all the
information the pros and cons of being
in our industry how they can become
top dog or whatever now it's a one man
it's kind of like a game show or
something
towards the end of the interview kind of
like on an Oprah show or something you
want to give them a gift basket
some kind of goodie basket or something
like that what I recommend is you give
them some kind of you give them a free
sales funnel and you give them a coupon
a discount coupon on SEO now why do you
want to do this live you want to do this
live because it's pressure you just sat
there for 30 minutes to an hour and
interview them and discuss with them the
issues and why it's so hard to succeed
and then you all agreed on the solutions
so if they don't take the solution they
look like a dummy in front of the whole
audience you see what I'm saying so you
they don't have to commit right there
you can just give them the gift basket
and tell them you'll follow up with them
in a month to see their progress and
we'll follow up live again so they're
going to they're gonna want to prepare
to be made over before you go back live
doing the interview in front of that
same audience again they don't want to
look like a loser right so you give them
a discount a huge discount for coming on
the show remember it wants it you want
it to look like a gift basket for it so
you give them a free sales funnel maybe
a free app for the business things they
won't cost you any more a free app that
you can make out for free you can get a
sales funnel created for free and I'll
show you have to do all of that in the
description link which is why you should
have been this is your second time a
third time are you standing before and
you're not inside my trade school or
somewhere in one of my systems you
should be ashamed of yourself I'm the
only one in this SEO industry that has
given away up this much value for free
men hundreds of people are getting
clients off of what I am teaching for
free so pay attention to take heed when
I give away something for free because
my school it's $5,000 a year yes I have
my own school my school it's $5,000 a
year so I'm giving you guys free stuff
right now to help yourself all right so
take the free stuff all right take it
thank you so you can get some clients
and get in a better position in your
life for yourself or your kids your
family your friends whatever all right
so yes the interview you talked about
the problems of the industry and then
you talked about the potential solutions
then you offer the solution in the form
of sales funnels free apps and a highly
discounted SEO package all right and
it's only highly discounted for the
first month remember just put in the
door because you don't want to burn them
in front of everybody laughs all right
so that's a way of signing a crapload of
SEO clients at one time what do I mean
by it after you do that if you turn it
into some kind of show where you
regularly interviewing people of that
same niche you can blast that out to
their email list you can blast that out
to other people in that industry and
they'll start watching that like it's an
actual show and then they'll start
calling in they'll start wanting you to
help them with that same solution that
that person was having also so Jeff why
are you doing an interview with that one
guy and giving him a coupon now our
other leads are coming inbound
for you to do their SEO sounds like a
genius and smart plan doesn't it yes and
I just gave it to you for free yes so
you can thank me in the comments a thank
you David fo John is this shit I know I
know I appreciate it guys just pay me by
hitting the like or subscribe but and
make it so you become a you know a
regular on my channel alright
sorry about the stuttering Stanley
moment right there
but anyway so everything is free in the
description right now
go to the link in the description you'll
get everything for free you'll get the
freaking funnel the cellphone on values
to close over 37 SEO clients in less
than five weeks you'll get the freaking
the pictures are used you'll get the
emails worth of email swipes to follow
up the initial messages you'll get the
how to build the app form how to create
the freaking coupon for them so it looks
professional how to put together the
gift basket how to get them to agree to
do the interview with you because a lot
of these people are bit but how to get
them to agree that doing the interview
with you how to structure the interview
so it doesn't sound like you're just
trying to piss them your SEO services
because it can easily just sound like
that if you start asking certain
questions too quick then it can sound
like this you see what I'm saying
alright so you want to actually help
these people on these interviews right
so I'll show you all of that and you get
all of that for free all you have to do
is go in the link in the description to
sign up to everything I put in there for
free for free and start getting clients
what if you can get five clients next
week hi
all of them paying you over two thousand
dollars you do the math there's a whole
life change I'm giving it away to you
for free right now for now alright so
I'll see you guys in the next video
hopefully you enjoyed it like comment
and subscribe and I'll be back like
Arnold I'll be back like vertebrae's
