And so terrified, I said, "No, it's not."

And I run trying to get away from him because I was like,

"You know what? I'm going to hug the wall

And, in doing that, I knock over --

or almost knock over Leonardo DiCaprio.

And he's like, "Are you all right?"

I'm like, "No, I'm not." [ Laughter ]

This is crazy.

And so, I decided to hang out by the front door because,

you know, they were halfway through.

And I look up,

and the room starts staring at me

and I'm just like, "Do I have a nose bleed?

Did I stress fart?" Like what is going on?

And then, I smell, like,

the most beautiful fragrance ever.

So I knew it wasn't a fart.

And I look over, and standing shoulder to shoulder with me

is Beyoncé.

[ Laughter ]

With her husband. I don't know if you know him, Jay-Z.

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-And she smiles at me.

I levitate a little bit.

And I just start laughing hysterically

because it's insane.

And the rest of the night is a blur.

But up until that point, I was like, "This is a fever dream."

It's insane. -Yeah,

it was the craziest night.

I mean, I worked at that show for a very long time

and I thought that you got a little desensitized

to celebrities, but also you did realize

like the difference between a celebrity and Beyoncé

or a celebrity and Prince. -Yeah.

-You realize there were those otherworldly people.

-It was -- but I mean, I was just invi--

I was like at the party.

So I remember being like, you know what?

Just dance like no one's watching.

-Yeah. -So I made it

to the dance floor, and, you know,

with all of the other writers and interns.

I was like, "Okay, these are my people.

This is more comfortable."

And I see this guy dancing out of my periphery,

and he's like getting into it.

And if you're a person of color and you're on a dance floor

and you see a white dude getting into it,

you, like, turn to them and like -- you cosign.

You're like, "Yes, keep going."

[ Laughter ]

And I turn to do that,

like you are want to do,

and it is Bill Murray.

[ Laughter ]

So he's just, like, getting turnt up.

And I'm like, "Yeah, you go ahead."

[ Laughter ]

And then I just shut my eyes

because at that point, I was just like --

-Yeah, there's nothing. You've hit the pinnacle.

So you've been writing at "Insecure"

from the beginning. -Yes.

-And now you're also in the cast.

How have you enjoyed -- it's such a wonderful show.

Have you enjoyed it? -Oh, my God, I hate it.

No, I love it! It's incredible!

It's such a cool show to be a part of.

I feel like it's sharing such a unique perspective.

And the writers room is so diverse,

which is just, like, rare, and it shouldn't be, but it is.

And we just have a really great time.

-And I know you're very politically minded.

I know I felt this way as well,

which is writers rooms are wonderful places

to come to after something happens that you maybe

weren't expecting or weren't looking forward to.

Certainly for me the night after the election in 2016,

I realized how lucky I was to have a place to go

to talk to other people about it.

Was it the same at "Insecure"? -Oh, yeah. Absolutely.

I felt like, to be able to show up to work the next day

and collectively grieve with a group of people,

and then, to subsequently march with them

and to resist with them,

I feel really lucky to have had that

and have it still.

I feel like we continue the fight.

[ Cheers and applause ] -Yeah, give it up.

-Yeah. -You were on --

Obviously "SNL" is a show that can be racy at times.

But now you're on HBO, a whole different set of rules.

-Yes. -Do your parents watch the show?

And are there times -- because having watched it,

there are things that happen on the show,

things that have specifically happened to you on the show

that might not be -- How do they watch it?

-Through fingers.

[ Laughter ]

I have two sisters and a brother,

and they watch the show and have been such a huge support.

My parents watch, but I usually have to tell them, like,

"Okay, I'm at the 20-minute mark"

or whatever, because they are very sensitive people.

And my mom, I remember her saying, she was like,

"You know, this episode was so good,

but I just feel like that Issa would figure it out --

if she goes to church, she would just figure it out."

[ Laughter ]

And I was like, "Okay, Mom, that's not going to happen.

That's not gonna happen." [ Laughter ]

But, yeah, they're huge supporters.

-You were also -- You were a drama teacher

here in New York? -Yes, in real life.

-Yeah, where in New York were you?

-KIPP NYC College Prep High School in the Bronx.

-All right. -Yes.

[ Cheers and applause ]

-And they must be --

It must be so exciting for them

to see their former drama teacher on television.

Do they watch the show?

-They do watch the show, and they message me.

And they're just like, "Yo, Miss, you said a bad word."

And last season, episode four,

a gentleman pleasured me at a diner.

And my student texted me like,

"Yo, Miss, you doing dirty. You doing dirty."

So I hope I never -- I mean, I love them to death,

but I just -- I couldn't look at them.

I hope I never have to see them.

[ Laughter ] -Yeah, e-mails are enough.

Just message, yeah. -I can't. Yeah.

-I want to talk about your dog. -Oh, my God.

-You came up with a very unique name for your dog.

-Yes. -Why don't you tell us

the whole process of how you came to it?

-Well, guys, I got a dog.

I feel like you guys should applause.

It's like having a baby.

So I went to my niece and my nephew and I'm --

You know, I was just like, "Well, what should I name him?"

And I'm a child of the '80s, so I was just like --

or Lloyd Dobler from "Say Anything."

And my nephew, who was seven at the time, he was just like,

"Why would you name a dog a duck?"

And the shade from a 7-year-old

is enough to make you change your mind.

So I went with Lloyd Dobler. -All right.

-"Say Anything" you know, yeah. -Yes.

So here, well this is -- I want to show this first.

This is you. -Yes.

-You just showed exactly who Lloyd Dobler is.

-Yeah, yeah. [ Laughter ]

Because a lot of people are like, "Well, who's that?"

And I'm just like, "The guy with the boom box."

-But that's easy. That's just cutting out the dog.

My secret Santa last year knew that, you know, I got a dog

and his namesake and wanted to support my choices.

So they got me a little tiny trench coat

and a cardboard boom box that I dressed him in.

-I mean, that is the real deal right there.

That's a secret Santa that went to work.

-Yeah, yeah, yeah. They did their work.

And he's so miserable.

It was after a bath, so his hair is all in his eyes.

-Yeah. -And then I played

Explorer drives 16,000 km across Eurasia in Nissan LEAF - Duration: 3:11.

My name is Marek Kaminski.

I'm a polar explorer,

and now I'm on my "No Trace Expedition"

with a Nissan LEAF

from Poland to Japan

across Russia, Siberia, Mongolia, China and Korea.

The concept of the "No trace expedition" comes from my past,

from my travels to North Pole, to South Pole.

The only trace that I left was the trace in the snow.

I started to think

how it's possible to travel without a trace,

and then I came to idea maybe to travel with a solar

or electric car,

with a zero-emission car.

It's a normal car,

but it is adapted for this expedition.

These solutions make this trip possible.

For example, the bed.

And you have different lights inside, and also plugs.

When I drive I have, really, everything available,

and I can just drive all day

without stepping out of the car.

I have many plugs,

and I have a special charger,

so I can charge

my LEAF everywhere

with different kinds of electricity,

from 6 amperes up to 35 amperes.

With this special charger,

I can charge it in five or four hours.

Many times,

the car was in very hard conditions,

but nothing happened.

The Nissan LEAF performed well.

I had nothing to fix on the way, not even one screw.

I think the crucial thing for this expedition is recovery.

My strategy is to be relaxed, to be connected with nature.

The electric car is really the future.

Many people think that electric cars

are only just for the city

and short distances, but it's not true.

I think, with the electric car,

now you can drive everywhere.

My trip proves it.

There are so many possibilities with electric cars,

that we don't know yet how it will change our lives.

Claire and Rags and today I'm going to be

letting you know how you can tell if

your cat is depressed

now cat depression can be hard to

diagnose and it can happen for a number

of reasons

so we're here today to tell you what you

need to know first of all how and why

a cat can get depressed now a cat could

suffer with depression for a number of

reasons

these can include a death of an owner or

another animal in the house may be a

companion a change of environment so

maybe you've got another member of the

house or you have moved house or it can

even be things like changing of food or

the cats in the house or even just a

change of their daily routine now cats

are often portrayed to be quite aloof

but they are social creatures and they

do form bonds with other cats other

animals and their people so if they do

experience a loss such as a death or

someone moving away they really can

feel like it's really rather traumatic

for them isn't it now cats who are

depressed especially if they're grieving

after a loved one are going to need a little

bit more attention and compassion

special treats new beds interactive

playtime or new toys can help your

cat now how can you tell if your cat is

depressed well depression in

humans is a lot used to diagnose than it is

with cat but they do share similar

symptoms

if you notice your cat is either under eating or

overeating this could be a

sign they're depressed over grooming

themselves or neglecting grooming all

together is another sign you need to look

out for if your cat is hiding from you

or avoiding any affection if your cat becomes

more characteristically

aggressive towards you or the cats or

other people in the house

inappropriate litter box behavior so

if they are either not using their litter box

correctly or they're not using it at

all and excessive of vocalizations your

cats can be quite chatty ragsy is

sometimes but if you notice a change in

the way of your cats and vocalises

whether it's an increase or a decrease

of their usual transfers or howlings

this could also be a sign of your cat

being depressed now cats are notoriously

good at hiding when they are in pain

or upset or when they're not feeling their best

so if you're capturing any of these

symptoms be it one two or all of them it

doesn't necessarily mean that they are

depressed it could be another underlying

problem so you do notice any of these

symptoms again whether it's one two or

all of them do you take your cat to the

vet to get them checked over

now how is depression in cats diagnosed

well obviously you're going to need to

take your cat to the vet and more often

than not a diagnosis of depression that

would come about after a process of

elimination your bet might want to give

your cat a full physical check this

might include bloodwork scans and x-rays

all that kind of thing

now that you're asking all sorts of

questions and seeing what the stress

indicator is

so for example if they watch their loved

one and there's been changes at home

they've moved home or anything any sort

of changes in their life now how do you

treat a depression well in extreme cases

your vet can prescribe cats some anti

anxiety or antidepressant medication the

cat may also be referred to a veterinary

behaviorist now it's a little bit like

CBT for cats they will look at your

cat's behavior and suggest some behavior

modifications and things that you can do

for your cats at home they can also

prescribe your cat medications if needed

now regardless of why your cat is

depressed it is very important that they

get seen by the vets as as soon as

possible diagnosis early on will make it

much more likely that you'll try to look

at the help that they need thanks for

Bringing Forgotten Music Back To Life | VISIT NORWAY - Duration: 3:27.

The first time I even heard of (Hjalmar) Borgstrøm was through a good family friend.

Who is very passionate about Borgstrøm and his music.

He gave me a big pile of his music,

which I did leave at home for a little bit...

and it did collect a little bit of dust.

But when I did open it up I saw there was "Violinkonsert" laying there.

I was not expecting that at all...

and I just started to play a little bit on it.

The piece was speaking to me immediatly.

There was someting about it.

There was the quality of it.

The beauty, that really was so intriguing.

He was studying in Leipzig, and he was in Berlin...

where he meet (Ferruccio) Busoni amongst others.

He had this philosophy of ways of composing. How he wanted music to sound.

He clearly loved the Romantic period.

I think especially second moment, you can just hear this extremely romantic opera...

and it is an aria basically.

It is a bit like Wagner.

It is so many references that you can listen for a few seconds and then "Could it be?"

And then no it is not. But the resemblance is definitely there.

At the same time he managed to make this very Nordic sounding. Or Norwegian.

What triggers the Norwegian feeling I think is a little of mix of folk music harmonies.

Meaning from Hardanger fiddle.

I often find some resemblance to fjords and mountains.

Especially in this area where I am from where we have Jotunheimen (National Park).

Which is the most beautiful mountain chain.

Just hearing this music triggers this mental picture.

It is very lyrical. Very simplistic melodies that goes directly into your heart.

Borgstrøm was really unfortunate that he was just forgotten.

He was just a little bit late.

By the time he was composing his big symphony and lyrical poems...

people where already looking at different directions and new impulses.

It is a massive privelege to be able to show this piece to the world and to people.

Because it is so linked to also my identiy of beeing Norwegian...

and coming from this kind of place. The countryside.

And to have something that resonate so much with this.

At the same time it is a really, really good piece.

It is not just a Norwegian piece that no one plays.

But now is maybe the time to finally bring it back...

and give it the attention it deserves.

Hyderabadi Chicken Korma | हैदराबादई चिकन कोर्मा | Hariyali Murgh Recipe by Chef Harpal - Duration: 7:52.

Hello Greetings, my name is Chef Harpal,

and Pressure Cooker stories are being continued and today I am making is

"Hyderabadi Chicken Korma"

which is going to be very interesting.

For this recipe first of all I need is

1 tbsp of Oil,

few whole spices like

1 Bay Leaf,

2-3 Cloves,

1 inch of Cinamon,

1 tsp of Peppercorn,

1 tsp of Cumin Seeds,

now saute all this spices for a minute,

It is typically know as Hariyali Murgh in Hyderabad,

generally in Hariyali Murgh spinach is added less

but to keep the color Chef's generally add the puree.

Some of them make the chutney's and use it to enhance the color,

few of them add coconut, few of them not.

I am not adding coconut,

but if you add coconut, it will enhance the taste.

As Cumin Seeds will be brown we will add few things in the cooker,

add 1 tbsp of chopped Garlic,

250 gms of Chicken I have taken,

add 1 inch Ginger Juliennes,

we need a strong flavour of garlic so will let is slightly brown,

as garlic is browned,

add 10-15 Curry Leaves,

1 large chopped Onion,

In Hyderabad while making chicken onions are not being brown,

they sweat the onions after that everything is being sauteed well.

This is what I was telling you that if you will not saute it in a pressure cooker than you won't get the taste,

if you think that you have added everything and closed the lid and let it cook,

it won't give the taste.

You can do it that way also but after doing that you will have to add the oil and cook it again.

If you won't saute you will not get the taste.

Now add 1 large chopped Tomato,

add salt according to your taste & health by doing Namak Shamak,

not more, nor less.

Add 1 tbsp of Coriander Powder,

1 tsp of Red Chilli Powder,

1/4 tsp of Turmeric Powder,

1 tsp of Cumin Powder,

1 tsp of Garam Masala Powder,

saute it well for 2-3 minutes,

add 300 gms on Chicken bone,

saute it for 3-4 minutes,

after sauteing

add 3-4 nos Green Chilli Paste to make it spicy,

1/2 cup of Spinach Puree,

3-4 tbsp of chopped Coriander,

10-15 nos of Mint Leaves,

do not chop the leaves,

1/2 cup of Yogurt,

saute it again for 2 to 3 minutes,

French Onion Soup Recipe - How To Make Onion Soup - Slow Cooker Recipe - Duration: 6:14.

what's up everybody this is Lyle with no

hippie BBQ what we doing in this video

is I'm going to be making some Classic French

onion soup and we're gonna be making it

in our crock pot anyway I'm gonna have

all the recipe ingredients all that

stuff down the description below the

first step I need to do is to caramelize

our onions so we're going to be doing

this in the crock-pot overnight now the

recipe that I'm going to have in the

description is going to be a little bit

different than what I'm actually going

with I am going to be going with more of

a hearty french onion soup and I'm gonna be doubling

up the onions the recipe I'm following

has three onions I'm using six and I

have three sweet onions and the reason I

have it I have the rest of these chopped

up but I want you guys to kind of see

the difference these regular yellow

onions are gonna be kind of round and

the sweet onions are gonna be kind of a

little bit more oblong and the only

reason I'm showing this to you is I go

to a market that doesn't have these

listed is what they are so if you're in

the same situation that's kind of how

you tell the difference anyway to

caramelize these onions I'm just gonna

throw these onions in a crock pot with

one stick of butter overnight a lot of

times if you're gonna do this stovetop

you're gonna add a little bit of brown

sugar or something like that to help

speed up the caramelization since this

is going for at least eight hours we're

not gonna have to worry about that

anyway that's gonna be my first step I'm

gonna go in through my butter in and my

onions turn on my slow cooker on low and

we're just gonna let it go

we'll pick this up tomorrow and get into

the rest of the ingredients then have

been caramelizing in that slow cooker

all night we'll get to those in a minute

and all these amounts and ingredients for my french onion soup

are going to be in the description so

anyway our ingredients we have one bay

leaf some flour garlic Wurster sauce I

have some thyme rosemary mixture some

burgundy wine some Parmesan cheese ooh

and it hurt me to buy this Gruyere

cheese that was some expensive stuff we

got that and then I

have some beef base and I have a French

baguette and I'm going to throw this

French baguette in the oven at like 250

degrees for about 10-15 minutes before

we actually plate this up just to kind

of give it a little bit firmer anyway

those are our ingredients let's start

mixing everything together let's start

whipping this up so we have our

caramelized onions in here I must say

they look pretty good let's go ahead and

throw in some flour stir this in alright

let's go with our werster sure our

garlic our herbs all right now our beef

stock now I have a video on homemade

beef stock I'm going to leave that in my

cart above I'll take a look at that if

you want to make it from scratch but

this just happens to be that better than

bullion beef base that you can buy I

really like that a lot I got that

crock-pot and we'll finish these up

let's finish them up so we're just gonna

go ahead and hit it with another piece

of this French baguette that we have

here I'm gonna go over it with some of

our freshly grated Parmesan cheese don't

have to be shy

some of our Greer cheese definitely not

gonna be shy with this now this is gonna

go in the oven under broil for four to

five minutes or until we start getting

some nice bubbly cheese on top of this

out of the oven I'm gonna go ahead and

let these cool down a little bit then

we'll taste it
