'Cause one of our writers on the show was like, "You've never seen it?"

I go, "I've never really watched 'Gilmore Girls.'"

And I really got into it. I dove into it.

I loved you. I loved you. -Well, thank you. Thank you.

-But I watched every single episode,

then I watched the movies on Netflix.

-Yeah. -I mean, I got into everything.

-Yeah, the reboot, that was really cool,

because it was kind of like going to college again,

but you have all the wisdom you have now.

But you go back to college, and it's like --

But you're the right age at college, so it's not creepy.

You know what I mean? It was so much fun.

It was so much fun to do that,

because it was nine years after the original series.

-Yeah. -And the fans wanted it.

And we never knew it was going to happen.

-You didn't think it was going to happen?

Or you didn't know -- -You know, I found out

the reboot was happening online like everybody else.

-No! -I swear.

-Wow. -Yeah. I had no idea.

And I was doing "The Good Wife" at the time.

And I came downstairs, and people had seen it online.

And everybody's like, "Are you doing this? Are you doing this?"

I was like, "I don't -- I don't -- I just found out.

I just found out. I don't know."

-"I just retweeted it. I hope it happens."

-Exactly, yeah. Exactly. -No way.

-"I don't know if Logan's going to be asked back."

But it was great. It was fun. -I want to congratulate you.

Because I think it's the anniversary that --

You might not know.

This is the 20th anniversary of Mr. College of Charleston...

-Oh, thank you. Yes. -...Pageant. The pageant? Yes.

So, I can tell how touched you are

and how emotional you're about to get.

What is this thing? And what do you remember from it?

-I am Mr. College of Charleston 20 years ago.

It's pretty -- -Please, keep --

-What was it, and what went down?

-Do I really have to talk about it?

-Yeah, I kind of like -- We want to hear --

[ Cheers and applause ] You're Mister --

-Yeah. This is actually how I became an actor,

crazily enough, yeah.

You win -- You could win free acting classes,

so in college, anything free is good.

So I was like, "I got to win this thing."

So I stepped it up

by saying my favorite movie was "Boogie Nights."

Came out in my underwear with a little enhancement down there.

[ Woman cheers ] -[ Laughs ] Okay.

-And that won the crowd over. And that's the reaction I got.

And here I am today. I got these acting classes.

-You won acting classes? -I won acting classes.

-And then that just, what -- A light bulb went off,

and you said, "Hey, this is what I'm good at.

It's what I want to do." -You know, it's crazy.

Because backstage everybody's making fun of the whole thing.

And when I saw "free acting classes,"

it was a light-bulb moment for me.

I'm like, "I got to win this thing.

This is an opportunity."

And, you know, in your life, you never know

when these opportunities are going to come,

and I felt it in that moment.

So "Boogie Nights," and here I am.

-"Boogie Nights," and you've had a great career.

Absolutely, yeah. And let's talk about the new show now.

It's coming back. "The Resident."

This is on Fox. What is the show about?

So people know. -It's a medical show.

-It's like a doctor show? -Yeah, doctor show.

-Except the difference is...

-You know, we kind of pull the curtain back a little bit

and get into the grit and grime and...

-And the money and the insurance of it all and the complications?

Seriously, I've been in the hospital

for the past three years, and they know me.

They go, "Jimmy, what's up?!" I go, "I'm bleeding."

They go, "Yeah, yeah, yeah! I'm a big fan!

[ Sternly ] What's your insurance?"

Then I go -- "No, no, no, I'm bleeding!"

And they go, Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's good.

We love you, man. It's great, man.

What's your insurance?"

[ Laughter ]

It's like, "Dude, take care of me please.

My finger is falling off."

Yeah, no, it's a tricky business.

-Well, I mean, you don't think about it when you're a patient

that running a hospital is a business,

and it takes money and insurance,

and that kind of money involves corruption.

And so we kind of address those issues

that other medical shows don't.

And my character is one who kind of stands up to that corruption.

-That's right! -Yes!

-Stand up! -Fight for the good guys!

-That's what I'm talking about! -Fight for the good guys.

-What's your character's name on this one?

-Dr. Hawkins. Conrad Hawkins. -Dude, I am Team Hawkins.

That's what I'm talking about. -Yes!

-I'm in two leagues. One of which --

Anything past that and it's just, it's diminishing returns.

-I'm fully aware these are not good puns.

Just so you know. I don't think these are good.

-No, no, that's the whole fun of fantasy football names!

-So I have Jared Goff on one team, and so I went with

Goff With Their Heads. Okay. -Oh, yes!

Um, the other one, is I've got both Jordan Howard

and O.J. Howard and so I went with Howard's End Zone.

Which is, yeah. The football -- -Howard's and Reverend's?

-Yeah, yeah. The football/ E. M. Forster crossover is huge.

-Wow! -So, uh, yeah.

-Howard's End that's a good -- you don't hear that one enough.

-Yeah, I've done some really crappy Photoshop

and put both of their faces on the photos of

from the BBC production. Yeah.

-Oh, that's fantastic. Have you had any time off this summer?

You been working or...? -I've been work--

I've made a film this summer, which is like

this crazy action movie. -You always do these

cool, crazy movies. -Yeah. Okay.

This is defintely one of those.

It's, it's about a guy -- It's called "Guns Akimbo"

and it's about a guy who just, he's kind of an absolutely

non-violent, has no interest in it.

And through a series of stupid and horrendous mistakes,

ends up being forced into a fight to the death

with Samara Weaving, plays my --

the person who is much more skilled than me

and trying to kill me, for the entire film.

But it's like -- yeah it's a mad, like...

-Wow. -...action comedy.

And I got to do loads of stunts.

And I also had what is unquestionably

the best costume I will ever have.

because I got to spend half of the film just in a bathrobe

and boxer shorts and, and, and, a T-shirt.

Which was great. I -- Yeah.

I mean. Yes. Whoo indeed. -That's pretty fun, right?

-It was great. And it wa--

-Well, uh... -There you go.

Guys, this is so exciting. You're doing a TV show together.

Obviously you met on "SNL."

But you had seen Fred perform before that?

-I did. I saw him at a club in Los Angeles called Largo.

I think I had just started "SNL" and I saw him --

He didn't see me. Like, we didn't talk.

But he had bleach blond hair

and he was in a piece he wrote with Mary Lynn Rajskub,

where they were these Hawaiian --

What were you? Conspiracy theorists?

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-And your name was Leonard Wampanui.

-Yes. [ Laughter ]

And we'd play audio tapes of politicians --

George Bush at the time -- and we'd be like, "Think."

-Think. -"Use your head."

-Use your head. [ Laughter ]

And he -- immediately I was like, "That guy's a beast."

[ Laughter ]

That guy is so amazing.

And then I didn't see him again until I came to the auditions.

And he was dressed as Fericito for his audition.

-One of the -- an early character he did on the show.

Another early thing you guys did together were the Nunis.

-Yes.

-For those of you who don't remember the Nunis,

you guys were sort of -- Where were you from?

-Good question. -Yeah.

-We never knew. -It felt like Holland.

-Were we German? Dutch?

-You were like -- you were a design couple.

You had very unique designs.

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-That's Rainn Wilson sitting on a pile of toast.

-We always had different chairs.

You're in a basketball hoop.

-That's me there, right?

-That's you, yes. -Oh, yeah.

[ Laughter ]

-By the way, if you had offered me $1,000,

I would not have been able to tell you if I --

that's how long ago --

-I don't remember any of this.

-Who came up with the idea of the Nunis?

-See, I don't know.

-I think we all think we all did,

because I knew this guy in Holland named Hejen.

And I'd be like, "Okay, hi, Hejen."

He's like, "That's not how you pronounce it."

And I would say "Hejen."

And I'm like, "I am saying it right.

I'm not a dummy."

So he would just be like, "No, that's not --

you're not doing it right."

But then, you had a similar story, and then James --

-Well, my friend -- yeah, and we wrote it with James Anderson

'cause all great things come from James Anderson.

-One of the most prolific writers in "SNL" history.

-He's still alive. -Still alive.

[ Laughter ]

-My friend Gretchen told me she went like, you know,

a year abroad or whatever, a summer abroad,

after graduation with her friend Shoshana.

And her name is Gretchen.

And so they met these Italian guys.

And she was like, "I'm Gretchen. This is Shoshana."

And the guy was like, "Gracie, Shoshine.

Come to the disco." [ Laughter ]

-'Cause the way it would work -- for example,

when I was in the sketch, I'm sure at one point I said Nuni.

-Yes. -You were both named Nuni.

And that was your first name.

-But they were different names.

-Yeah. -Yeah.

-But if I would say, "So it's Nuni?"

-Yes?

-And Nuni. -No, no, no, no. Nuni.

-Nuni. -Nuni. No, no. Nuni.

-No, she's Nuni, I'm Nuni.

[ Laughter ]

-You have to say it with the front of your tongue.

[ Laughter ]

-Nuni. -No, no. Nuni.

That is a child's name.

-Also Prince, "The Prince Show."

-Yes.

-And this was one of the best.

And you guys -- There was a time

where Prince was the musical guest.

-Yep.

-And you wrote a "Prince Show" for Prince to be in.

-Yes. -Yes.

-And you had -- so I guess on Thursday,

you lined up to try to talk to Prince

and settle on the idea of the show.

-Yes.

-Yeah, and so we were poised to speak to him

after his sound check, so we went down there.

-And Prince's people had told you, "Talk to him after that"?

-Yeah. -Okay.

-We've got the script. We showed it to him.

He's gonna play,

and then he's gonna talk to you guys after this.

Okay, great. So the stage is right there,

and we're standing right there for Prince's sound check.

Like, what could be better?

And she's like, "As soon as he's done,

he's gonna come over and talk to you guys."

He finished, takes off his little, like, stuff.

Jumped off the stage, walked directly towards us,

made a 90-degree right turn past us, walked out the double doors

and into the elevator and left the building.

[ Laughter ]

-Very Prince.

-We never talked about it.

-So I want to come back after this commercial break

and talk about your new show.

But we are -- this is a sketch

that has a lot more historical significance

than we maybe thought at the time.

Paris Hilton was hosting.

-Yeah. -Thank God.

Not a show people talk about a ton,

but there we are the three of us.

I've watched the first episode, which was wonderful,

where they're trying to find, like, a new headquarters.

And I feel like, "Why don't they ask me?"

"Where is our new headquarters going to be?"

-Well, don't you feel like they're doing tons of research

and diving deep into finding out

what would best support a giant company like Amazon?

-That fee-- I understand your point.

I see where you're going with this.

And that's fair. So, I'll let you speak.

But, um, that's more corporate.

You know what I'm saying? That's like a corporate view.

-Well, they're a corporation.

[ Laughter ]

-That's a very good point. So I stand corrected.

-Well, like, if Jeff Bezos came to you and said,

"Where should we go?" what would you say?

I really, for real, I would say Pittsburgh.

-Okay. Well, I think Pittsburgh is actually in the running.

because now you want it to look like you named it.

-Yeah. By the way, yeah. -That's not the case.

-Let's be clear. I think that's the case.

so 10 in total

so, let's start preparing it

amazing, this is so convenient

this is how the noodles looks like

it's a little bit different than the normal instant noodles

there are 3 packs here, green, red and yellow

let's start with the green and the yellow

ah, it's the seasonings

there are plenty of it

and this is the soup powder

and after that we add the hot water

this is like the japanese one

and we cover it for 3 min

i think we put this pack on top, to heat up

it's 3 mins

and after that we add the last red pack

and by mixing it, we done

this mean itadakimasu in chinese

the soup with and mazing red color

it's an appetizing color

the noodles is medium

mmmmm

the texture of the noodles is like the pasta

with great and soft texture and this is so Hào chī

this soup is so tasty

it looks like the noodles that i ate it in china

you can't find something like this in japan

the taste of the beef is strong

and spicy and this is so tasty

it will goes so well with the rice

this noodles is really hao chi

a pasta-like noodles

this is like what i ate in china, and the soup is rich and tasty

and it contains plenty of vegetables, like carrots, cabbage and a lot more

you can see there is a whole piece of it here

next, is the dandan noodles

there is an orange pack with this dandan noodles

and after that we add the hot water

this soup looks like a sesame soup

looks like the "rayo"

and we mix it well

hay, this is amazing

this dandan noodles is really amazing

the soup is spicy and hot and with a strong flavor of sesame

the taste of the sesame is stronger than what we have here in japan

and you can mix the soup easily is the noodles

this is so tasty

there is plenty of chinese noodles here, but the taste is different, but this is so original

this is dandan is really tasty

this soup is so rich and so hao chi

and the taste of the spiciness goes so well with it

next is, Pork Bones noodles

its smell is so strong

it looks like what we have here in japan but with a richer taste

and the soup with a strong flavor

and finally we are going to eat this 5 packs of the beef noodles

this noodles really contains plenty of veggies and meat

various and fresh

this noodles is really different than what we have here in japan

only the soup is left

i was really surprised that it looks like the traditional chinese shop noodles

i'm so happy that i had the chance to try the chinese noodles again

you can't find something like this in japan, but it will be available soon

Will Hurricane Florence Hit Augusta, GA? When? | Heavy.com

Google Maps Georgia has declared a state of emergency days before Hurricane Florence makes landfall.

With Hurricane Florence predicted to make landfall late Thursday night or early Friday morning, Georgian residents might be wondering when and if Hurricane Florence will reach the state.

The state of Georgia just declared a state of emergency on Wednesday afternoon, given the latest path predictions for the category 4 hurricane.

Though Hurricane Florence does look increasingly likely to affect the state of Georgia, Augusta's ten day forecast does reflect some tropical storm conditions on Saturday and Sunday.

Here's what you need to know.

Forecast for Augusta, GA, During Hurricane Florence.

As of Wednesday, here is the forecast for the week, according to the NWS:.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 94.

Heat index values as high as 100.

North wind 7 to 11 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74.

North wind 3 to 7 mph.

Friday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 95.

North wind 9 to 14 mph.

Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74.

Saturday: Tropical storm conditions possible.

A chance of showers.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.

Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday Night: Tropical storm conditions possible.

A chance of showers.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.

Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday: Tropical storm conditions possible.

Showers likely.

Partly sunny, with a high near 87.

Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Regardless of how the forecast for August pans out, Governor Nathan Deal has declared a state of emergency for the entire state.

According to AJC, officials are particularly concerned about severe wind and rain conditions.

However, even if Augusta doesn't receive a direct impact from the hurricane, it's still extremely likely that it will feel the impact from another direction: Augusta has an agreement with the city of Savannah area County to house their evacuated residents if under mandatory evacuations.

According to Fire Chief Chris James of Augusta, GA, the biggest threat to the residents of Augusta will be the potential flooding of the Savannah River.

Gimp 2.10.4: Paths Tool For Beginners. Technique nr: 1 - Duration: 4:49.

In this tutorial we will see a simple, basic technique on how to use the paths tool.

If you want to follow along, you can find the down load link

for the image in the videodescription.

We start by making the paths tool active.

This can be done by going to tools and then click on paths.

Or we can just click on the paths icon in the toolbox.

The shortcut for this tool is the B key.

The edit mode design should be checked.

Zoom in to the object by holding the Ctrl key

and rolling the mouse wheel away from you.

Click the first node.

Then click the second node, but hold the mouse button down.

Drag the handle out and move it to make a curve.

When the curve looks good, we can let go of the mouse button.

Now click and drag the handle back to its node.

And then we can click the next node.

And again, do not release the mouse button, but drag it out instead.

Make a curve and then let go of the mouse.

Click and drag the handle back to its node.

And so we can make our path, node after node.

When we hold the space bar and move the mouse, we can move the image.

To make a straight line, just click a node and let go of the mouse.

We can undo with Ctrl+Z and redo with Ctrl+Y.

We will go a bit fast forward now.

When we are back at the first node, we hover with the mouse pointer over it.

Then we hold the Ctrl key and when the chain icon is visible,

we can click to close the path.

Now we can correct previous made nodes, by clicking and dragging them.

In this image we also want to remove this inner area.

When the previous path is closed,

we can start making a new path by just clicking a node again.

Then click the next one, hold the mouse button down and drag out the handle to make the curve.

Let go of the mouse and, by click and drag, move the handle back to its node.

And we repeat the same process until we are back at the first node.

Then we hover over the first node, hold the Ctrl key, and when we see the chain,

we can click to close the path.

Pres Ctrl+Shift+J to fit the image in the window.

Now hit the button selection from path, to change both paths into one selection.

Then we can hit the B key or click on any other tool to make the path invisible.

And that is how we can, in a simple and easy way,

make very accurate selections with the paths tool.

Gimp 2.10.4: Paths Tool For Beginners. Technique nr: 2 - Duration: 3:23.

In this tutorial we will see a simple, and easy to use basic technique

on how to use the paths tool.

We start by making the paths tool active.

This can be done by going to tools and then click on paths.

Or we can just click on the paths icon in the toolbox.

Just click the first node or control point, then the next one and so on.

Hold the space bar down, and move the mouse, to move the image.

We will edit the straight lines later on.

With Ctrl+Z we can undo one or more previous steps, and with Ctr+Y we can redo them again.

In this way we go around our subject.

When we are close to the first node, we hover the mouse pointer over it.

Press and hold the Ctrl key and when the chain icon is visible,

we can click to close the path.

By clicking and dragging a node we can still make corrections.

Zoom out or press Ctrl+Shift+J to maximize the image in the window.

Now we check the option edit.

Zoom in again.

Click and drag a node on one of the lines, to make a curve, like so.

When we let go of the mouse, we cannot move this node anymore,

but we can undo it with Ctrl+Z.

When the node is made, we can make corrections with the handles.

In this simple way, we can make our curves in the path.

When all this is to our liking, we can click on the button selection from path,

to make the selection.

Then we click on a random tool in the toolbox, to make the path invisible.

Or we press the B key.

This also makes the path invisible, but leaves the paths tool active.

And that is how we can, in a simple and easy way,

make very accurate selections with the paths tool.
