Youtube daily Sep 20 2018

If there's one thing that the people at Fox News love than beating up on people who aren't

white, it's beating up on people who accuse someone else of sexual assault, as is the

case with Doctor Christine Ford, for pretty much this entire week on Fox News.

We have had Carlson, Hannity, Fox and Friends, Greg Gutfeld, Jesse Watters, all of them spending

all week trying to discredit Doctor Christine Ford for coming forward with allegations of

sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.

The entire network is bending logic, twisting reality in order to smear this woman, who

has now had to go into hiding because of the death threats that she and her family are

receiving.

Fox News has helped push these wild conspiracy theories about her that she's mad at Kavanaugh's

mother because she foreclosed on her parents' home back in the late 90s.

Or that her brother worked for the law firm that represented Fusion GPS, both of which

are completely false, by the way.

Excuse me, Brett Kavanaugh's mother actually did not foreclose on Doctor Christine Ford's

parents.

They kept their home because they were able to refinance, so everything was dismissed.

They actually still have the home.

As for the brother working for the law firm that represented Fusion GPS, yeah, he worked

for that law firm, but he left in 2004, seven years before Fusion GPS even became a thing,

so really nothing there.

He was gone for seven years before Fusion GPS was even founded.

Nonetheless, this network wants to smear her.

We had Gutfeld, and Watters yesterday saying, "Something doesn't quite add up here.

Why did she wait so long?

You know, she's doing things in a way that people would do if she, you know, wasn't actually

a victim.

She's not following the necessary steps.

There's something fishy here.

I don't like it."

Do you know why she waited so long?

Three days after she came out she's already in hiring because of the death threats.

You people are attacking her left and right trying to smear her, say that she's a liar,

and you're defending the man accused of this, and even writing off like, "Well, if he did

it oh well.

What kind of a person is he now?"

That's why women don't come forward.

That's why.

Fox News is leading the charge here, and honestly this isn't something that should surprise

anyone.

You go back and you watch any old segment from that network where they're talking about

a woman accusing a man of sexual assault, with the exception of Harvey Weinstein, they

love going after him and believing so supporters ... or accusers, excuse me, because Weinstein

gave money to Democrats, so of course it's true about him.

Of course, it was true about Al Franken doing that thing in the picture, but any time a

powerful Republican gets accused, "Nah, this woman's a liar."

Oh, if she's accusing an athlete, "Oh, she's just looking for money.

Maybe she had too much to drink.

Maybe she secretly wanted it."

Those are the excuses that we have heard come out of Fox News over the last decade any time

they talk about sexual assault.

What they're doing right now to Doctor Christine Ford is no different than what they have been

doing to sexual assault victims for at least the past decade, if not longer.

Of course, let's not forget that this is a network that made it their practice to help

cover up the sexual harassment that was taking place behind the scenes at the hands of some

of their most popular hosts.

Covering up sexual assault and sexual harassment is in the very DNA of Fox News itself.

Any time a woman comes forward with a story they will always give the benefit of the doubt

to the man while trying to smear the victim into hiding, which is exactly what's happened

this week.

Getting Involved in the Deaf Community (with RIKKI POYNTER) [CC] - Duration: 14:05.

CHRISSY: I keep doing it!

RIKKI: Stop hitting your glasses!

CHRISSY: Stay on my face!

*Hearing aid chimes

*Hearing aid whistles

CHRISSY: Hi everyone Welcome to my channel!

I'm Chrissy and this is-

RIKKI: Rikki!

CHRISSY: Today what we are going to do is discuss getting involved in the deaf community.

So do you want to start with how you got involved in the Deaf community?

RIKKI: So I was 20 years old.

Before that I was really hearing-minded, I just didn't really know any other deaf people.

So after I graduated high school I was trying to find a job and it wasn't really working and then I started youtube.

And it was just, there was something missing, I was just thinking "where are the deaf people?"

And I really started because- well before that- first when I started youtube I wanted to do makeup videos.

And I was like "Are there any other deaf makeup artist?" One.

I'd be on the internet clicking and searching around for a deaf makeup artist. Then I found one.

Then I was like where are more, not just makeup people, just like deaf people.

CHRISSY: Right!

RIKKI: So I'm clicking around on tumblr and looking at the tags, deaf and hard of hearing tags,

and it was a whole new world!

All these people with stories and I click around and read them and I'm like ok so I start following all of them.

And I responded and commented like, "Hi I'm Rikki and I'm trying to learn more about deaf people.

I'm deaf but mainstreamed so I don't know anything about the culture or the community."

and I just was reading more on the internet and interesting youtube videos.

I saw some mainstream deaf people, but mostly asl signing deaf people which is fine, but still not like me.

I grew up different, it was nice to have that deaf connection,

but it was still different community different culture.

Still I'm looking through things watching things. Then – when was it?

2015 that's when I like really started.

I got a movie role, that's a different story, it was awful,

but I met Jules Dameron she's a movie maker and I stayed at her house.

It's funny I couldn't sign for shit. No haha. I could sign water.

And my sign for fly was this- she got the point, but still.

When I arrived at her house there was more deaf people there and I'm like-

WOW

They were signing so fast and I was petrified.

I'm gonna go hide here now go.

First, I was exhausted from flying. Second, I was just scared thinking like these people do not like me.

But, later that night we went to a show and I met more people and it was cool.

I was still intimidated, buts Jules helped me and this one guy he voiced too mostly signed but he was like if you need help-

if you don't understand, I'll help you, I voice sometimes. I was like, "okay thank you,"

he was like, "I don't want you to do that If you're not comfortable,

I know a lot of deaf people aren't comfortable voicing."

I was like, "You don't need to," he was like, "its fine."

I remember we were playing for game night.

Wow that was confusing night. I've never played this game before and I'm learning while you teach me asl.

I was like, "OK," it was funny, it was fun. Then after that-

After that I just started finding more deaf events near where I live

and started going to NCSD, North Carolina School for the Deaf and that's the short story.

CHRISSY: For me my first exposure with my speech therapist.

She knew some signs, so we do speech practice and then after we'd practice some signing.

Signed some things so that really helped me start picking up so I had that.

Middle school I started meeting other deaf people.

I lived in Frederick so it had a big deaf community so I'd meet people.

I'd be like "Hi my name is Chrissy" signing slowly and try and make conversation.

I made some friends improved my life a little bit. But my life was still focused on the hearing world.

In this life, you're kinda stuck, you don't know how to fit and intergrate, you have two worlds.

Then I think I started going to a camp, which now I'm a counselor for.

Camp Manidokan, Deaf camp, there I started picking up more ASL.

That started motivating me more seeing Deaf people and hearing people socializing.

I was like maybe I can do it.

So, I went every summer and improved my signing.

Then when I was older I started looking at facebook, which is the best place to find the deaf community.

So I'd read through facebook and find deaf events, got involved met other people.

I think it's the best way to start intergrating yourself with deaf people.

So, now I go to school in santa cruz, which was a new place needed to meet new people.

So I went to Deaf events and socialized. That's how that happened.

RIKKI: A lot of people are nervous. What if I go and people don't like me? That may happen.

I know from experience. But if someone doesn't like you, someone else will.

Like if you are hearing maybe someone won't like you, but someone else hearing will.

If someone doesn't like the fact that you are new. Like if you are deaf but new to the culture and community

some people will be like- but don't care that doesn't matter, get rid of them.

CHRISSY: That's their bias. Their mind set, there is nothing wrong with you.

RIKKI: Just find people who will help you.

CHRISSY: So what do you think the benefits to getting involved in the deaf community?

RIKKI: There is a few.

One: you won't feel alone. For years both of us were like hmm this is shitty.

Now we've found more deaf people yay.

Two: you learn more. Three: you make friends, learn more information about the community and culture.

You will probably find your family. Your choice family.

Before I hated being deaf, I hated hearing loss, weird whatever.

CHRISSY: Mainstream makes it really negative image.

But when you are involved in the deaf community there is nothing negative about it. Deaf is a positive thing.

RIKKI: Yes sometimes is normal to feel frustrated.

Maybe if like you can't hear this one thing, but now you just feel better. Less shitty.

CHRISSY: New way to socialize, new culture, new things. Never had before.

RIKKI: Like if you are hearing a lot of people think like,

"but we have the ADA law, if somethings not accessible, its accessible! We have the ADA!" That fix.

ADA's like what 28 years old. IDK math. Still shit.

CHRISSY: Yeh the best way for things to be accessible is to pick up signs and get involved in the deaf community.

Things are 100% accessible if you socialize with other deaf people

if you pick up the culture and community and things.

RIKKI: And most of the time if youre loud, we cant hear it.

If we are asleep and you break or drop something and its loud. It's fine. Watch TV as loud as you want.

CHRISSY: True, benefits.

RIKKI: Sometimes, maybe hear a little bit, depends on the person.

CHRISSY: True.

RIKKI: Just a funny thing.

CHRISSY: Other thing is that everyone is invited. Nobody is forbidden from getting involved in the community.

I know there are many hard of hearing people who are stuck in between the deaf and hearing world.

Like am I forbidden from getting involved? No you are not.

I think everyone should be involved, if you are part of the community you are part of it.

Don't have to be alone with anything.

RIKKI: Hearing loss is hearing loss.

CHRISSY: Similarity between us all.

RIKKI: Hoh people benefit from ASL, whatever language.

CHRISSY: There is a little bit of privilege being able to listen pick up things, but you can still get involved.

You want the world accessible too.

RIKKI: If you need more information, comment.

CHRISSY: Comment below if you relate with anything, or if you learned something, or if you want to add anything

about getting involved with the deaf community, events, fest, whatever. Thanks for watching!

RIKKI: See you later!

RIKKI: See you later!

Raise Your Hand if You're Humble (09.16.18 PART 2/3) ** - Duration: 18:01.

We're moving forward 2 Corinthians

chapter 12 I think I misplaced that here

but on the contrary this is verse 7

seeing that I had been entrusted with

the gospel to the uncircumcised just as

Peter had been to the circumcised for he

who factually worked for Peter in his

Apostleship to the circumcised

effectually worked for me also to the

Gentiles I the header on this one is a

much-needed division so some of you guys

like oh man passage oh I've been waiting

for you to make a mistake and here you

go you're saying there's a much-needed

division oh my gosh false prophet you

know we cause to be United you know it's

Christian Christianity should be about

love grace and unity look at this what's

what's my point here it was clear to

Paul and Peter that they have two

different ministries they have the same

gospel same message but two different

ethnicity two different groups same

message two separate responsibilities

why didn't they just do it together

alright so if the the modern Christians

they're gonna say well we need to be

united they should have just done it

together well you know better than that

ma because if they kept they stayed

together what would happen it's slower

there was a separation Jesus appointed

Jesus appointed Paul right to go to the

Gentiles and Peter was assigned to the

Jew of the Jewish Christians that's why

there's the print churches that's all we

can't all be in one church this church

was established and formed to church the

unchurched filipino-americans in this

town it has evolved to something

different because we felt

God was moving at that time we followed

his lead it's no longer just for

Filipinos it really wasn't but it did

feel like it was a closed door because

of our name Filipino international

Christian Fellowship so we voted

it was almost unanimous no it was

unanimous there was a few one that

didn't want it but now its first

International Christian Fellowship doors

are open wide open for everyone to join

but still there

the Ministry of this church is for whom

ever God wants to bring to this body

amen and the autonomy of this church

stays within this church when we get

make excessive accountable well we are

all working together for God's work for

the big sea church right we are all

under the big sea Church universally we

are all together all Christians all over

the world are together and United to

share the gospel to live a holy life to

do the work that God has given us but

with the small sea all of us have our

own responsibility to whatever God puts

2 in front of our church and gives us

that responsibility amen

so a division I said a much-needed

division a much-needed division happened

here it was a good division it was a

good separation of responsibilities you

know when you're following God and

you're obedient to God he will give you

wisdom and then he will give you wisdom

you will make the right decisions even

planning your time in planning your your

money where it's going if you are

obedient to God ok you can't just wear a

shirt get baptized

I accept Christ and think oh I'll be

smart I'll be more wise and I can still

live by holy you know my old life no as

you become more obedient to God God will

reveal more things to you and you will

make right is like this to people here

it was clear to Peter okay you're going

there because that's what

Jesus revealed to you right here Jesus

this isn't the message version okay

it's in an axe nine fifteen or sixteen

but the master said Jesus said to

Ananias when he called him to go to Saul

or Paul Paul before saw I saw before he

became Paul don't argue go I have picked

him speaking about Paul as my personal

representative to non-jews and Kings and

Jews and now I'm about to show him what

he is in for the heart suffering that

goes with this job this is about Jesus

telling Ananias go there he's blinded

he's the person that I'm gonna use to

share my message to the Gentile world

did that change no it happened even the

suffering happened we're suffering happy

so some of us are so scared of the the

verse 16 of this right see that's what's

gonna happen to me if I follow God

that's what's gonna happen to me see

that's why I don't want to follow him

really is that how is that working out

for you because I thought as fast and as

hard as I go running away from God's

will for me I thought it was gonna be

safe for me old boy was my life more

miserable be my family and I suffer

because of my disobedience running away

from the calling that he was giving me

because I didn't want to do the

suffering because I thought I could run

away from me but know whether or not

you're gonna obey God if you are if you

have him as your Lord if you have

accepted him as your Lord there's

suffering as you call yourself little

Christ all right and we share any

sufferings and praise God for that when

we share any sufferings thanks God for

that wait here paul was called I'm

pretty sure Paul told Peter this hey you

know I was walking down the Damascus

Road and boom God blinded three days

didn't eat I couldn't eat but in his own

eyes and Peter's just listening to the

testimony and he knows his people has

been spreading and planting churches for

the past 13 years so they had a

conference and they just affirmed a

message so they were equal right they

were equal but they had to split that

dispute because their responsibilities

are different their task here Jews tasks

here Gentiles so we can't all churches

if you know certain functions we can do

here and there together but we can't

function as one all the time because

it's not biblical right right here this

separation earlier you go to the Jews I

go to the Gentiles

next pleasing people rather than please

slowly no pleasing people rather than

God and his truth this is where Paul

confronts Peter but when Peter came to

Antioch

I had to oppose him to his face because

what happened here was when some Jews

came with James they were together

how Paul was with Peter but before James

and the Jews came Peter was just having

meals with the Gentiles with Paul and

you know in in their in their tradition

before that's a no-no they couldn't

associate together but you know Peter

already had the revelation that he has

to be one all right they have to be one

in the book of Acts you will see that in

the book of Acts that they are that God

said to him don't call anything that I

made

unholy so he went to the house of

Cornelius right but they have all for

some reason as he was as some someone

the Jews came Jewish Christians came

with James and somebody whispered

probably to Peter that hey what are you

doing why are you having populous with

them

why are you sharing your food with them

why are you sitting with them did you

stoop down to their level now should be

hang out with us you know what the

progression was little by little Peter

did it little by little one Sunday at a

time one meeting at a time George we

need to be as a church here at fic

affray we need to be united now what you

just talked about division by the

division of responsibilities division of

ministries but it together if we love

God and love each other we need to be

united we don't we can't do we can't be

like Peter or you just show certain

people a certain thing but you truly are

not result your resolve is not complete

don't just be getting along with me here

at church we can't just be getting along

here with our Sunday mask we need to be

really loving each other outside this

building cuz yeah over here maybe you're

not given a choice right you have to say

hello because Mikey and I tell you or

pasta charles turn around he gave your

love to each other give each other love

with the lord you're like oh gosh i

really wish they would skip that part is

though i'm gonna have to say hi to her

right no the it has to be real it cannot

just be because people are watching so

what Peter did is he actually made the

mistake with the Galatian Church though

Ganesha Christians with the Gentile

Christians and he also made a mistake

with the Jewish Christians because then

people followed suit people followed him

and when I saw this this is now Paul

saying when I saw that they were not

following the truth of the gospel

message I said to Peter in front of all

the others since you a Jew by birth the

start of the Jewish law laws and our

living like agenda why are you now

trying to make these gentle

follow Jewish traditions I'm reading

this in them I'm going through my own my

own journey right every like everybody

else I'm going through my own journey

and it's the hardest thing as a the

hardest thing as a believer or a leader

is when you're going to rebuke somebody

someone that you really love because

sometimes it's nice if you don't like

them it's easy right like man you know I

knew it you know and listen I'm gonna

hear it now I'm gonna put you in your

place

cause you don't like them there's no no

careful no care needed but if you love

them and you care about them you kind of

it's harder you kind of tippy-toe on

what you're about to say can I sidestep

it so it's hard but here because of

Paul's love for God and for the truth

and he knows he already said in the

previous verses in chapter 1 that he he

would not he doesn't live to please men

his life was to please God so whoever

you are if you're making a mistake in

front of Paul he's gonna do this

look this is Peter in front of many

people you know why because the mistake

happened in front of many okay the

mistake happened in front of many people

said the rebuke had to happen in front

of many people too so I know the world

says rebuke in private praise in in

public but if there if the mistake

happened in public like in a business

meeting and the mistake happens in the

business meeting the correction will

have to happen in front of everybody in

the business meeting same thing with

your family right if the mistake happens

in front of other visitors and you have

to correct your child we have to make it

in front of many you can't wait later it

says here that's what I see here he

rebuked him in front of them and he told

them you you

saved by grace why are you now all of a

sudden trying to bring it back to these

guys that you have to stay with your own

people you want them to live like Jews

because other other people followed

Peter on his practice other Jewish

Christians who were already having meals

with the Gentiles saw Peter withdrawing

throughout the weeks or days they did

the same thing

see this believers other new believers

are watching if you've been a believer

for a while they're watching you they

have their eye on you and if you're

doing certain things that because you've

matured throughout the years that you

think it's okay not a lose my salvation

I can still live like this some new

believers are watching you and guess

what you're gonna do you're stumbling

them you're stumbling them right so

again it calls for a holy living it

calls about discernment it cause about

it causes calls our attention to make

sure that we just don't worry about

ourselves but we worry about our witness

all right

don't you agree because Peter Peter did

it on his own time but other people

followed him and he caused them to

stumble as well I know this is this is

the hard part of the message when

there's like something that kinda hits

right and III don't I don't know what

you guys do every time but I'm pretty

sure none of you guys are perfect just

like me

right but all I'm saying here is we need

to be watchful of what we do and what we

say around people especially the ones

that are we are disciple you might not

know it or not especially the mature

believers if somebody accepted Christ

right now and they will be watching all

of you and they know they don't know how

long you've been in the faith but

they'll see your conduct they'll watch

your character they'll see how you deal

with people deal with your problems and

if you're permissive with your ways

what the guys these guys are gonna do

you're causing them to stumble Pope Paul

said in the book in Corinthians right

that if I'm gonna cause someone to

stumble what I'm eating or what I'm

drinking I'd rather not eat or drink so

there's a lot about that too but denying

Peter wanted to please the Jewish

Christians rather than God at that time

and then Paul because of his love for

the truth which is Jesus he did not it

was not gonna have it it was not gonna

have it it was for Peter's good to have

you noticed I don't know if it's what it

is if it is in your versions but there's

no response from Peter it was not

recorded his response to Paul wasn't

recorded because Peter right if you

remember Peter is the one that is

recorded that's been corrected a lot by

Jesus right right remember over my dead

body lord over my dead body

nobody's gonna take you and the girl

asked him oh you're with him no I don't

know that guy right over his dead body

right Laurie I want to walk with you

come call me so I can walk on water too

starts walking come feels the wind like

oh my gosh I'm falling right oh you of

little faith when Peter says over my

dead body Lord Noah will take you I

won't let that happen what did you just

say get behind me Satan
