How to Draw a Realistic Hamster (Narrated) - Duration: 4:19.

Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!

I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will draw a hamster.

We begin by sketching a rounded shape but slightly squashed, a sort of water drop shape.

Then another similar one but bigger.

We draw a midline for the face, and also a guideline for the upper

part of the eyes.

So that we draw them straight.

Based on that we can draw the little snout.

Like so… and the nose will be down here.

Very good.

And the eyes will be up here, tilted.

With a little bit like an almond shape

but more rounded.

And slightly further up the little mouse ears, actually they should be here

and here.

And I see that the nose should be higher

the snout shorter, because we are doing a hamster not a mini-elephant [laughter].

That's better.

Hamsters seem to always want to have something to eat

so let's give him a snack, and we draw the shape of the little hands,

the main shapes first, and the feet.

I lighten up some of the sketch lines, and now with a black color pencil

we do the eyes, we fill them in leaving a small reflection toward the top

because their eyes are very lively, they have mysterious eyes [laughter].

Ok, good!

Now, with a mechanical pencil, or with a pencil, let's render the fur

we do this with short strokes

and I´ll switch to a slightly softer lead.

Alright.

We do this as usual in the direction in which we intend the fur to be.

Applying it in layers.

And remember that on the snout the hair is really short and at the same time

of course we do the shading.

We have to take into accounts two things:

One is the light and shadow produced by the shape, by the volume

of the beast [laughter]

… and the other are the changes of tone of the fur,

like he may have a spots, blotches, or areas

which maybe darker or lighter or of a different color.

So we work on rendering some of these changes.

And we draw the funny little feet.

Like so.

And the cast shadow.

Alright.

I actually wanted to say very good!

¡Excelente!…

but, truly, I am not liking very much his right hand.

I think it is a bit too low and it looks strange

so after drawing his whiskers,

and shading this area slightly to give the proper volume and tone…

I`m going to fix it.

I dab with a kneaded eraser.

I use this because a regular eraser can smear. Once most of the graphite is off

you can use another one to reinforce as needed.

And then we redraw the hand and reestablish the area.

Very good!

DIY Paper Flower Wall Hanging | Michaels - Duration: 3:52.

- I'm Kristen Johnson and this is my maker story.

I love to use flowers in decor.

They don't wilt, they don't lose their shape,

they don't fade.

It's just something so sweet and innocent about flowers.

They idea for hanging flowers on a branch

really came in when a friend of mine

was looking for nursery decor.

So I thought, why don't we bring nature

and something beautiful like flowers into the space.

The whole room was decorated except for over the crib

and I thought wouldn't that be the perfect spot

for cascading flowers over her little bundle of joy?

Because we're using paper we have so much flexibility.

So let me show you how to make these hanging flowers

for your next party.

So the first thing you'll need is a branch.

And now depending on your project

or where this is gonna hang,

you might want it a little wider.

Today we're gonna use a little bit of a smaller one.

You'll also need twine.

Any of those will work for this project.

Depending on what you're going to use this project for,

if your installation is going behind a cake for instance

you're gonna want it a little shorter because of that table.

If it's for a photo booth backdrop opportunity

make sure it's nice and long.

Depending on what you're using it for cut it to that length.

I'm going to tie this twine around my branch.

It's very simple, do not overthink this.

You're going to wrap it underneath your branch,

knot it once through, and then make sure

in case someone were to pull on this

that things don't fall off.

Go ahead and give it an extra knot.

We're gonna go ahead and attach the rest of them.

If you need to add more or take some away

feel free to do so.

If you want a cleaner look feel free to cut the tails.

And now we're ready to make our pompom flower.

This is such a fun and easy flower.

You're gonna take your paper,

you're gonna fold it on itself.

Depending on how big you want your pompom

will depend on how wide you want your paper.

We don't want 'em very big

so we're gonna do about an inch and a half to two inches

of a fold-over and we're gonna cut it right along the line.

So now all we have to do is take our scissors

and cut a line straight down.

Make sure not to cut all the way to the bottom.

You wanna leave a little bit of room

so that it doesn't go completely off of the paper

and now you're just gonna continue this cut

all the way down the paper.

So this length will actually make two.

So I'm going to cut it right down the middle.

The next step is to roll it on itself.

First you're gonna need some glue.

We're gonna put just a spot of glue

so that when we roll it on itself it will stay.

As you go along, you're gonna add a little bit of glue

every little bit.

When you come to the tail, put your glue there

and then roll it all the way around holding it in place.

Your flower will then look like this.

What you're going to do

is you're gonna pull back each petal, if you will, down.

This will start to make it open or blossom

and you continue to do that all the way around.

When attaching my flowers to my branch and twine

I like to first lay it out.

This way I'm able to visualize how I'm gonna like it.

Once I've picked the spots that I want it to be in

I can then tie them.

You're gonna take your twine,

put it around the base of your flower, and tie a knot.

For extra hold

just add a drop of hot glue right where the knot is.

You can use all pompom flowers

or introduce other paper flowers

for a variety of texture and color.

Now, all that's left to is hang it up

and you have the perfect paper flower backdrop.

On your mobile device, enable Location or Location Services.

With your HP Sprocket set up and connected to your mobile device, open the HP sprocket app.

Tap the Menu icon, tap sprocket, App Settings, and then enable Embedded Experiences.

From the app home screen, select and print a photo with Embedded Experiences on.

It'll print with a concealed watermark!

Now grab your photo, and set it on a flat surface.

In the Sprocket app, tap the Camera or Reveal icon, and then swipe left or right to the

Reveal option, if it's not already open.

Make sure you're in a well-lit area, with no glare or shadows.

Hold your phone about six inches above the photo, and the app detects and reveals the additional content.

Swipe left to view location information, the Google Map Street View, and any related photos and videos.
