Spicy Cantaloupe Margarita - Duration: 3:25.

- Hi, I'm Jerry James Stone.

In today's video I'm gonna show you

how to make a delicious, spicy, cantaloupe margarita.

I love cantaloupe,

I love melon in general,

and I love a margarita,

and I really love a spicy margarita.

This one's super easy to make.

It's fresh, it's tasty.

It's handmade, hand shaken.

You're really gonna love it.

Let's get to it.

To start making this spicy margarita

I'm gonna add a little bit of jalapeno slices there.

So if you like hot, if you like heat in your food,

but you don't maybe want too much heat,

here's a little tip.

When you're chopping peppers,

habaneros, serranos, jalapenos,

most people think it's the seed that causes the heat.

That's not true.

It's actually that white pith that's inside the pepper

and surrounding the seeds.

That's where most of the heat is in a chili pepper.

So if you wanna get the flavor

but not have too much of the heat,

you have to not only remove the seeds,

you have to remove that white pith.

Super important.

Some freshly chopped cilantro.

Just a splash of the tequila.

And then we're just gonna muddle that.

(pestle clanging)

The objective here is to release the oils

from the cilantro and the pepper,

but to not overly abuse them to the point

where they get worn out and mushy.

Add the remaining tequila.

Add some Grand Marnier.

Little bit of lime juice

and some cantaloupe juice.

Oh, and I just wanna give a huge shoutout

to my friend Brian who gave me this delicious cantaloupe.

Any time you wanna give me ingredients, Brian, I'm game.

I will make tasty, tasty food.

Thanks again.

Add some crushed ice.

Cover it and now we're gonna shake it.

And to enjoy this margarita just serve it in a glass

with ice with a salted rim,

and there ya go.

Top it off with some fresh cilantro and a lime wedge.

that delicious handmade cocktail.

I love cantaloupe, and I love spicy,

and I love tequila, so it's really something to enjoy.
