World Cup 2018: The campaign to get real female football fans to the top of Google.

Google 'female football fan' and you will be greeted with endless pictures of attractive, slim, scantily clad women.

Female football fans are diverse, but the images reaching the top of search engines are not.

This is despite a YouGov Profiles Lite survey of 22,000 football fans suggesting a third of UK football fans are women.

A campaign has been launched ahead of the World Cup to produce a more diverse representation of women fans online.

The campaign led by photography project This Fan Girl wants to replace the "over-sexualised and non-representative" images which appear at the top of search engines with five images they have selected of a diverse group of women football fans.

They want people to share news articles containing those images with the hashtag #WeAreFemaleFans in a bid to get them to the top of search engines.

The aim is to get these articles to overtake articles objectifying so-called WAGS – the wives and girlfriends who will be attending the game, and women fans.

In their images, they challenge the representation of women football fans, showing women of different ages, from different backgrounds and of different religions and ethnicities celebrating football.

They began by taking pictures of women outside Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, before travelling to stadiums across the country.

Their photos are published on ThisFanGirl.com.

"Most women are really up for it," Drucquer told i: "We do get a few jokes from the men along the lines of 'it's sexist you don't want to take my picture!' but they're generally just really proud that we want to take their partner, or daughter's, photo.

I think both men and women in the football community totally understand what the issue is and everyone is really supportive.".

The campaign is being co-led by Carabao Energy Drink, a football sponsor.

But how realistic is actually getting these images ranking, when so many 'World Cup sexiest fans' articles will likely be churned out? Articles like one written by a male journalist for The Mirror in 2014, which began: "The tournament has lived up to everyone's expectations so far and judging these beauties, the female fans are up to some relatively high standards too.".

2018 Russia World Cup ready to kick off with grand opening ceremony - Duration: 1:33.

The wait is finally over for Football fans around the world.

The 2018 World Cup kicks off in a matter of hours with the host nation, Russia, taking

on Saudi Arabia.

Our Won Jung-hwan is standing by for us near the stadium for the opening match in Moscow.

Hi Jung-hwan, what's the atmosphere like?

Good evening Daniel, I am just in front of the Luzhniki Stadium, where the opening ceremony

will take place in less than 4 hours.

People from all over the world have gathered around here so they can see Russia's largest

stadium announcing the start of the month-long global football festival.

A few hours ago, I went down to the stadium, which can hold over 80-thousand spectators,…

and ticket holders for the opening match were crowding in already for the World Cup's opening

ceremony.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony will have a slightly different format to previous

editions of the tournament.

This time, the ceremony will focus on musical acts and will take place much closer to kick-off,…

just half an hour before the start of the opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia.

During the opening ceremony, British music icon Robbie Williams will entertain the stadium

crowd together with around 500 Russian dancers and gymnasts.

After the show, the tournament's trophy will be revealed by Brazil's two-time World Cup

champion Ronaldo just before the official kick off of the opening match.

Buying and Re-releasing Source Code - Duration: 6:03.

Hey, this is the daily overpass, my name is Eric and I make apps!

Now today, let's talk about buying and re-releasing source code!

Ok, so today I wanna answer a question that came in from episode 371 from Mustapha Assi

and he said "hello, nice video.

I wanna ask a question - what do you think about buying android source code for about 50 to 100

dollars then adding some ads in it and release it to the play store, give it some good keywords

and then advertise it?

Would it be a good way to make money?"

That's something that a lot of people did a few years ago - it's called re-skinning.

So back in 2012 / 2013 / 2014, I knew a lot of people who they didn't write their own

code which was actually pretty good because they would take a good concept and they would

add a new theme to it.

Like, let's say you buy some source code to a game, flappy birds is an excellent example,

I know so many people who put out flappy birds clones!

I wasn't one of them but they would buy the source code, and it wasn't the actual source

code of flappy birds but somebody would just clone it.

So they would clone it and sell it because they would make more money selling it than

they would releasing it onto the app store, which tells you something really.

So they would release flappy fish or flappy birds with better graphics or whatever, and

there were so many clones of it, it was ridiculous!

And this is one of the reasons why we have rules like 4.3 because the people were putting

out loads of apps on the app store.

In fact, I knew a lot of people, that was the language they'd use.

"I have a factory!

Basically I've got these outsourced people and they would just one or two games a day,

or some people I knew would 10 games a day, and we'd just put them out on the app store

and we'd just keep changing keywords, putting things out there", and then when that stopped

working they would write books saying 'How to make money re-skinning'.

And I talked about this before and that's mostly on the Apple side, and they do it on

Google Play too.

I have had - there's been a couple of times where I've purchased source code, but the

one time where I released something to google play, it was removed within like 6 hours.

It was like a swingcopters clone, and we changed everything to make it look like a spy theme

to reach out to the Ear Spy people.

So I thought if they go to 'more like this app' they will see something else which was

spy-related and maybe that would get them in and everything like that.

That was my logic and within six hours it was suspended.

I didn't even appeal it - I probably should have done!

I probably should have appealed it in retrospect because it wasn't like I was the only person

doing reskins right?!

But I just kinda felt like I didn't really like it, because I'm a developer and I hire

developers and I didn't like the idea of it but a lot of people do, and a lot of people

have made money from it and I don't know if it's still the same now.

I think it would be hard on Apple, I don't know so much on google.

One thing I would say though, if you are gonna go that route and there's websites like chupamobile,

ragdog studios is one - I think it's ragdog studios - so there's ways you could do that,

there's still methods out there where you could buy source code.

But one of the things I did find when I buy source code, it's almost like it's really

good looking at somebody else's source code because then you can see what they're doing!

One of the things about all of the source code that I bought is that it was actually

pretty well documented because they have to give it to you in a way that you can customise

it, so not just adding new graphics and new audio files, but maybe even add some new code

so the code, in all the cases where I purchased it, was really well documented.

And it sort of helped learn certain things, because when you do things on your own, you

may follow a few different tutorials and examples but when you see the way other people do "oh,

I see they've encapsulated all the ad logic into this module, or they've done this over

here and they've done that", and it's just really cool to see the way that it works!

So I think it's good.

Especially if you're starting out into the app market and you just wanna see what it's

like.

But, to answer your question, I don't know, I don't think you would really get rich off

of it, because there's a reason why they sell the source code and not just keep re-releasing

these games over and over again, and it's because building the app - and I tell this

to every client we ever have - building the app is the easy part, actually getting people

in to find it, that's the hard bit.

So, I mean I can understand the logic.

If you bought the source code and you just changed it slightly or changed it, even if

you changed it a lot, and then you had people coming in to it and if it was a success then

yeah, that's an easy way to make money but it's actually harder than that because you

probably need ads to get them in to find it, and then whether or not you can make ads from

it.

So for me, I've never had success with it, I've known very few people who have.

I know lots of people who've tried, especially in the early days I think people had more

success with it but not so much now.

And so my question to you guys out there today is, is anybody out there still doing re-skinning?

And if so, I mean purchasing code and I don't mean hiring people to do the code for you,

I mean purchasing something from chupamobile or whatever, chupamobile or one of the other

studios.

Codecanyon, codecanyon has them too.

Just going out there and purchasing the code, re-releasing it and just changing the graphics

- have you had success doing that?

For me, the few times where I've purchased the code, I've changed it so much that I might

as well have just written it myself!

But it's that learning exercise, especially when you're just learning a new language,

like for me it was Lua and Corona, it was like seeing the way other people were doing

it, it was hugely beneficial.

So anyway, that's just my experience.

It's what I think, I'd like to know what you guys think about that and that's it for today!

What could Kim Jong-un take away from his night stroll around Singapore? - Duration: 3:04.

Kim Jong-un took a night stroll with a couple of Singaporean ministers, checking out some

of the most iconic attractions of the city.

What impression did the North Korean leader get from the experience and how would it impact

his thoughts on economic development?

Oh Jung-hee turned to some experts for their analysis.

In 2015, Singapore hosted a summit between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Taiwan's

then-leader Ma Yingjeou.

Now it's hosted another meeting that'll go down in history -- the first-ever face-to-face

between a North Korean leader and a sitting American president.

On the night before the summit, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un took a tour around some

of Singapore's most iconic attractions -- the Gardens by the Bay, the Marina Bay Sands,

and the Skypark Hotel.

Kim's nighttime stroll on Monday resembled his right-hand man Kim yong-chol's trip to

New York, where U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo showed him the skyscrapers outside

the window.

It was to send the message that economic prosperity is Pyongyang's to gain if it gives up its

nuclear weapons.

"The significance of it of course is to see what it means to develop tourism industry,

what it means to develop hospitality industry, what it means to develop basically infrastructure

and the center of the city that can serve as a hub and iconic attraction to the rest

of the world.

And I think that message was not lost on somebody like Kim Jong-un."

"I think the more important is not Kim Jong-un, but people accompanying him -- delegations,

North Korean media people as well as the security people.

Those people have not experienced the images of economic development and they saw it.

And also we know that North Korea's Rodong Sinmun published these photos so that would

create additional exposure of outside world to people in North Korea."

According to Pyongyang's Rodong Sinmun newspaper, Kim has said he hopes to learn from Singapore

in various ways.

In what aspects would the North Korean leader be able to relate to the prosperous Southeast

Asian country?

"One of the most distinguishing aspect of Singaporean economic development is that it

generated hugely successful economic development while it's ruling party, the People's Action

Party, has maintained their political dominance for decades.

So although there are important differences in innstitution, political economy, regional

security, environment, I'm sure there are important insights Kim can take away."

Jeep Wrangler Barricade Adventure Mirrors - Black (1987-2018 YJ, TJ, JK & JL) Review & Install - Duration: 5:29.

The Barricade Adventure Mirrors in textured black are for those of you who have a 1987

all the way up through the most current model year Wrangler that are looking for a mirror

that you can pop on your Jeep when you take the doors off to keep you legal and to keep

you safe.

These are gonna be a very, very simple, one out of three wrench installation.

And we'll talk a little bit more about that in just a sec.

So obviously, when you remove your doors, you are removing your mirrors, and if you

wanna stay legal and safe, you're gonna have to come up with another solution.

This is one of them.

There are really a couple of different choices.

One, you can mount a quick release mirror on the A-pillar.

That way you always have that bracket on there, but when you take your doors off, you attach

the mirror to that bracket.

Another option is to permanently move your factory mirrors from the doors onto the A-pillars.

And finally, you can go with an option like this where you drop a mirror into your hinge

when the door is not installed on the Jeep.

This option, of course, you take the door off, you put the mirror on, you take the mirror

off, you put the door back on.

There is a little bit more switching back and forth.

But with the options where you move a factory mirror to the A-pillar, you can have a little

bit of issue seeing the passenger side mirror.

Now, some of the brackets to take care of that for you, but that is something to consider.

And, of course, with the quick release, you always have that bracket on the Jeep even

when the mirror isn't on there, and that can bother some of you.

So obviously, all of them have their pros and cons.

If you do like this style, if you're fine pulling your door off and dropping a mirror

in place, it's a nice easy-to-see mirror, very visible, inexpensive, then this is going

to be an excellent choice for you.

There isn't too much to say as for construction here.

These are very, very simple.

You have some round bar here that's threaded on the one end.

This is the part that's going to drop into your hinge.

Then on the back side of the mirror, you do have a bit of ball joint with a bolt right

through it.

That's going to attach it onto this arm.

The main body of the mirror is plastic.

And then you have the mirror itself here.

So, again, very simple, adjustable, easy to drop into place, easy to assemble, easy to

remove.

They just are going to get the job done for you.

As I mentioned, I think these are very fairly priced, they're a nice inexpensive solution

to the problem of not having mirrors on your Jeep when you take the doors off.

For 50 bucks you'll get a pair of these.

I think they're a good buy.

Now a member of the install team will show you how to assemble these and how to get them

installed.

Today we're gonna install our Barricade rectangular adventure mirrors on our 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler.

We're gonna begin by removing the front door off our Wrangler.

To do this, we're gonna make sure our window is down.

This way, when your doors are stored, nothing gets broken.

Now let's go ahead and get started.

We're gonna begin.

We're gonna open our door.

We're gonna go inside and we're gonna disconnect our safety strap and our door harness plug.

We're gonna begin.

We're gonna take this panel off here.

Its got a little safety strap on it.

Come in here.

We're gonna disconnect our plug and then unhook our safety strap.

Unlike your JKs and your TJs, the JL Jeep Wrangler comes with a door check now attached

to it.

So we're gonna have to go ahead and get that removed after we've removed our harness and

stop strap.

Now, using the T-40 Torx and the ratchet that comes in your Jeep toolkit, we're gonna go

ahead and unattach this.

Next, you're gonna locate your Jeep toolkit in your vehicle.

And this is really awesome.

Jeep gives you the tools to go ahead and remove your top or your doors.

Go ahead, open it up.

It comes with a small ratchet and a few Torx bits.

We're gonna take our T-50 Torx bit and a ratchet out of the kit, and we'll go ahead and remove

our door hinges.

On the bottom of your hinge pin, there's gonna be a Torx bit.

And be very careful not to scratch

your paint.

And go ahead and repeat this for your bottom hinge also, and make sure you don't lose these.

Now that our door is unfastened from the vehicle, we're gonna go ahead and swing the door open

and lift it off at the pins.

Once you do that, you wanna go put your door in a secure place where it's not gonna get

damaged in any way.

And go ahead and put your Torx nuts back on the bottom of your hinge pins.

This way they don't get lost, and your threads don't get damaged on your door.

Now just carefully lift your door off and store in a safe place.

We're gonna begin by installing our mirror support in the top hinge.

We're gonna go ahead and just slide it down through the top.

We're gonna secure it down with the 15-millimeter nut supplied.

Then go ahead and just snug it down.

Next, we're gonna take our new rectangular mirror.

We're gonna remove the 13-millimeter bolt out of the back of it.

Line it up, the hole on our support.

Using your 13-millimeter wrench or ratchet, secure it down.

This concludes the installation of our Barricade rectangular adventure mirrors on our Jeep

JL Series.

The liberal leader also wrote that he will not allow the victory to make him prideful

Another hike is decided by the U.S. Fed.

Once again by its usual 25 basis points.

A decision reportedly made as America's economy is finally picking up a head of steam....

after several years in the doldrums.

The U.S. Federal Reserve has raised its benchmark interest rate for the second time this year

by a quarter percentage point to a range of 1-point-75 percent to 2 percent.

It's the seventh hike since 2015.

The Fed also dropped its pledge to keep rates low enough to stimulate the economy "for some

time", reflecting a U.S. economy that's getting stronger.

"Economic growth appears to have picked up in the current quarter, largely reflecting

a bounce back in household spending.

Business investment continues to grow strongly and the overall outlook for growth remains

favorable.

Fiscal policy is boosting the economy.

Ongoing job gains are raising incomes and confidence."

Quarterly economic projections released at the meeting show Fed officials expect the

economy to grow two-point-eight percent this year, up zero-point-one percent from its forecast

in March.

And a majority of policymakers say they now expect a total of four interest rate increases

this year, after they had been split about whether to raise rates three or four times.

U.S. unemployment fell to three-point-eight percent in May, the lowest since 2000, signaling

the Fed is at or near its maximum employment goal.

Inflation is also snapping into line, with fresh projections Wednesday indicating it

would run above the Fed's two percent target, hitting two-point-one percent this year and

remaining there through 2020.

In recent months, emerging economies have been seeing capital outflows and their currencies

weaken against the stronger greenback....contributing to currency crises in countries such as Argentina,

Turkey and Brazil.

"The European Central Bank is set to meet Thursday to discuss when to end its bond-purchasing

program.

All this global monetary tightening is increasing volatility in some emerging markets.

As for now, South Korea has strong fundamentals like ample foreign reserves to stave off a

rapid capital outflow, but with the U.S. set for two more rate hikes, whether that continues

remains to be seen."

"The U.S.-Korea rate gap has now widened from zero-point-two five percent in March to zero-point-five

percent, and that's putting more pressure on the Bank of Korea to raise interest rates

later this year.

General-level inter-Korean military talks near their end at North Korean side of Panmunjom - Duration: 2:21.

Inter-Korean high-level military talks are held for the first time in over a decade.

Generals from the two sides are at the border village of Panmunjom... discussing ways to

ease cross-border tensions as a follow-up to the Panmunjom Declaration.

Also in the background is this week's freeze-for-freeze deal between Pyongyang and Washington... in

which the North promised to halt its nuclear program and the U.S. said it would be suspending

its war games in the region.

Today's talks are nearing their end at Tongilgak, on the North Korean side of Panmunjom,...

some 50 kilometers north of Seoul.

According to South Korea's defense ministry joint press corps,... the two sides are currently

working on a joint agreement,... but no details announced as of now.

The talks started at 10 a.m. on Thursday... with five delegates on each side,... and they've

been immersed in talks for hours now, even forgoing a lunch break.

Although details of the talks are yet to be unveiled, the chief negotiators, Major General

Kim Do-gyun from the South Korean delegation and Lieutenant General Ahn Ik-san from the

North Korean delegation, made their opening remarks to the media earlier in the day.

A lieutenant general in North Korea is equivalent to a major general in South Korea.

Let's hear what the two chief negotiators spoke before the talks began.

"As the two leaders have already presented a clear map regarding military affairs, I

think both South and North Korea can achieve the expected results in these highly anticipated

talks,... if we discuss the issues in the firm spirit of the Panmunjom Declaration."

"At this historic moment, when the whole Korean nation is attempting to promote peace and

prosperity,...

I am deeply moved to see North and South Korea's military authorities sitting down here, face

to face,... to discuss military issues in order to implement the Panmunjom Declaration."

The talks are set for one day only,... but more of these inter-Korean military talks

Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates.

Michelle, what's the weather like for the 2018 World Cup Opening Ceremony which will

be kicking off real soon.

Daniel, due to the high oceanic climate, the weather in Russia can change a lot in just

a couple of hours.

The conditions at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium, where the opening is being held, will be dry

and mostly cloudy, with a cooler temperature of around 14 to 16 degrees Celsius.

In Korea, it's showers again.

Tonight and until the morning, the central areas and the south of Gangwon-do province

will get up to 20 millimeters.

But into the day, the mercury will rise fast in the blazing sun.

The morning temperatures are about 10 degrees cooler compared to our daytime highs.

Seoul waking up to 18 degrees Celsius, Daegu and Gyeongju beginning at 16 and 17 degrees

respectively.

The daily highs in Seoul hit 28, Gwangju 29,... whereas Busan is considerably cooler at 23

degrees.

The weekend will also be hot and sunny so take good care to protect yourselves from

the heat.
