Youtube daily Jun 7 2018

The Lenovo VR Classroom comes pre-loaded with some content from the Google Play store

including Google Expeditions.

In this video we will be introducing you to how you can do a guided learning session with

Google Expeditions in your classroom.

Google Expeditions is a free app that includes over 700 virtual field trips,

taking students to places like under the sea, outer space, and inside the human body.

Note that students can use Expeditions in a self-guided mode but this video will focus

on using Expeditions in a teacher-guided learning session.

Remember, in a teacher-guided session, the teacher will use the teacher tablet to open

a virtual reality experience and guide students through that experience using the tablet.

To start a Google Expedition, choose the Expedition you would like prior to class starting.

You could explore polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba, or even the Great Barrier Reef.

Open the Google Expeditions app on the tablet.

You can explore Expeditions by scrolling through the app,

or you can search for specific expeditions by clicking magnifying glass in the top right corner.

You can also filter by different category areas,

such as arts and culture, landscapes, science, the environment and more.

Once you find the expedition that you want to use, ensure that it is downloaded to the tablet

by looking for the circle with a check mark inside of it, in the bottom right corner of the expedition.

If there is no check mark in the bottom right corner, it means that the expedition is not downloaded.

To download, make sure you are connected to a wireless internet connection and then simply

tap the expedition that you would like to download.

When you tap an expedition to download, a flashing down arrow will appear in the bottom right corner.

When the flashing arrow turns to a check mark you know that the expedition has been downloaded.

Make sure to download new trips prior to starting an expedition with students

to avoid students having to exit and re-enter the expedition on their headsets.

If you want to see the expeditions that are currently downloaded on the tablet,

tap the three dash icon in the top right corner and then turn the downloaded only slider on

until it turns orange.

Make sure your Expedition app is in guide mode.

You will see in the top left corner that it should say guide.

If your expedition app says Explorer in the top left corner, tap where it says Explorer

and then choose lead.

This will change you into guide mode.

You as the teacher are the guide, guiding your students through the expedition,

your students are the explorers following your lead through the expedition content.

If using the Ruckus wireless access point, the tablet and all of the headsets will automatically connect.

If using another wireless network, ensure that the tablet and all of the headsets are

on the same wireless network.

When you are ready for the guided tour, have students boot up their headsets

and put the headsets on ensuring a proper fit.

Once on, the headsets should automatically connect to the expedition as long as the headsets

are on the same wireless network as the teacher tablet.

The number in the top right corner of the Expeditions app, indicates the number of headsets

that are connected to the app.

You can tap the number to get a list of the headsets connected.

From this screen you can tap Connect Explorers for step by step instructions of how to connect

explorers to the app if troubleshooting is needed.

When ready to start the expedition, tap the expedition of choice and then tap the start button.

You can see smiley faces on the tablet screen.

Smiley faces indicate where students are looking in their VR headsets.

Give students a minute to explore the 360 degree view around them.

When ready to begin the tour you can tap the orange header on the bottom.

Text explaining the scene and guided questions divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced

appear on the screen.

You can choose which questions to ask based upon your students' age and knowledge of the content.

You can direct students to a specific area of the scene by tapping one of the Google Expeditions

icons that looks like a compass.

This will place a compass in the student headsets highlighting a specific area to view.

If a student is looking in another direction, an arrow will guide the student to the place of focus.

Remember to look for the smiley face icons to ensure students are looking at the correct place in the scene.

If you tap the orange navigation bar, you may also see a picture icon,

although each expedition has different content.

If you tap the photo icon it will bring up a picture in the scene

and you can read the text to explain the picture.

If at any point you want to highlight something on the screen, you can tap the squiggly icon

in the top right corner, and then you can annotate on the screen.

Students can see your annotations.

You may want to use this feature to circle something of interest, or write a word being discussed.

When you are ready to clear your annotations, click the clear button in the top right corner.

At any point in the expedition you can click the pause button and it will remove the scene

from the students' headsets.

You may want to use this feature to gather students' attention, or focus on a specific topic.

When you are ready to end the expedition you can click the X in the top left corner.

This will remove the scene from the student headsets until you start another expedition.

A best practice tip when using Google Expeditions is to review the content prior to doing the

expeditions with your students.

To review the questions, and the scenes to determine what you want to highlight during class.

The Lenovo VR Classroom comes with ten customized lessons from Scholastic that tie back to Google Expedition content.

2000 Subscriber special! +2 years of Skarpantre animating! +Papercraft - Duration: 1:57.

Hey! I just wanted to thank you for being here, because On the seventh of june is the anniversary of my 2 years of animating! yay!

That's also pretty much when I started digital art and animation in general, and now there are 2000 of you motivating me to keep going!

Wow 2000 people thought my videos are good enough to subscribe! Thank you so much that's amazing! :3 I don't want to make any promises

like I swear my videos will only get better from now on because I said that when I was making game parodies too

....and here I am after a whole change in genre.

Thank you so much for anyone who sticked along with the ride and who helped me!

Also I don't know if my first subscriber ever, expected this channel to get here

But he's still watching my videos! Thanks dude :D

And as you saw from the thumbnail, I didn't upload this with empty hands (that's a common saying here of having a gift)

I've been working on many papercraft projects and this one is honestly my favourite

It's adorable and it's something very simple to make and doesn't even take up too much space!

A paper Skar!

So if you want a tiny paper-me to always have some company, the link is in the description for the free printable sheet!

But wait! There's more!

I'm happy to announce the first premier edition of my Skar and his animator pals figures

You can now craft Alice Animations, Hamaru, PottyMouth and JeiArrShi too!

Theese are free to print and make so I asked them if they were fine with me making a figure of their character and share them for free to print! Hope you guys like them!

I can totally recommend checking out their channels because they make amazing content!

I'm going to make the next set of 5 sometime, about my animator friends and characters from my videos :D

I really want to make figures about my cats sometime!

I'll announce them in a video but I usually announce everything sooner on twitter because it's faster than making a video.

Thank you so much for watching, have an easy day and good luck for the papercraft if you're up for it! :D

Trump Is Reportedly So Mad At Jeff Sessions That He Won't Speak His Name - Duration: 2:48.

According to a recent report on MSNBC, Donald Trump is a allegedly so mad at Jeff Sessions

that he will not even speak his name amongst his staff there in the White House.

Now, I kind of view this story with a little skepticism, all right?

This what MSNBC reported, Brian Williams actually was the one who reported it, so I don't know

exactly how much truth there is to that story.

Not to mention the fact that Donald Trump is certainly not shy about getting on Twitter

and saying Jeff Sessions names plenty of times.

We saw it earlier this week when he says that, "If I would have known Jeff Sessions was going

to recuse himself, I never would have picked him."

Which is kind of like saying, "Hey, if I would have known that I wouldn't have a puppet as

my Attorney General, who wouldn't end investigations when I told them too, I would have picked

somebody else who was willing to do my bidding, and obstruct justice for me whenever I wanted

them to."

So maybe there's some truth to the fact that he won't mention Jeff Sessions name.

I would love to think that it's true.

I would love to picture Donald Trump walking around the White House saying, "Ooh, I going

to get you-know-who", or "He Who Must Not Be Named", and watching White House staff

snicker as this kindergartner in chief walks by them.

But I don't think that Donald Trump is petty enough to not actually say the dude's name.

In fact Donald Trump is so petty that Jeff Sessions' name is probably the only one that

he's actually muttering around the White House because he is so pissed off at him right now.

That is the problem though.

We have this man child who has the maturity level of an elementary schooler walking around

the White House, fuming about the fact that he can't obstruct justice.

That's where we're at as country.

It's not longer really a question of did he or didn't he, it's that he's mad that he can't

obstruct it further.

Jeff Sessions, to his credit, did recuse himself from this.

We also know that several times last summer, Donald Trump asked him to un-recuse himself

and get back involved so that he could bring an end to the investigation.

I don't think there's any question anymore, about whether or not Donald Trump actually

obstructed justice.

The only question that we have at this point is whether this MSNBC report is accurate and

whether Donald Trump is actually willing to say Jess Sessions name, or if he's so furious

with him that those words won't even come out of his pursed little lips.

5 Modern Pennies You Need To Weigh Up - Copper or Zinc? - Duration: 4:37.

today we're going to talk about pennies you better way every time

Hey everyone it's Rob with Rob finds treasure and I owe you an apology so why

do I owe you an apology if you've been watching my penny hunts lately

you've realized that I've been talking about weighing up my 1982 D small date

pennies to see if they're zink or copper and that's true that's why I weigh them

up but I haven't been telling you about all the pennies I weigh up if you're

Lincoln Memorial Penny has a date before 1982

it's made of 95% copper and if the date is 1983 or later

it's made of 97.5% zinc and plated with a thin

copper coating however somehow someway some pennies that were supposed to be on

Zinc planets have been found on copper planets let's delve into those here's

the five pennies you'll always want to weigh up because they have found pennies

that were supposed to be zinc, plated with a small plate of copper however

some of the transitional years from 82 and 83 as well as 89 and 90 were found

on copper planchets so an 82 D small date is only supposed to weigh 2.5 grams

because it's made out of zinc this is a zinc 82 D small date 2.5 grams that is

what it's suppose to weigh you know it's a small date by the number 2 in 82 you

can clearly see how the two is more curved I figured I'd go ahead and let

the graphics on the screen kind of help you see the difference between them you

can see on the left side on the 82 P and D the small date the 2 has a curve to it

vs. on a large date on both examples on the right it's more of a flat

thicker 2, it doesn't have quite the curve down to the base of the two a regular 82

D this is a large date the 2 is a flat at the bottom and is not curved and this

is a copper one so it weighs 3.1 grams this is the copper planchet this is a

zinc planchet had we found an 82d small date on a copper planchet which weighed

3.11 grams it would fetch you quite a bit at auction so you always want to be checking

for them they weren't supposed to be minted on copper planchets but they have found

some also all 83 cents whether it's an 83 philadelphia or an 83 d denver are

supposed to be minted on zinc only as well and that would be 2.5 grams and you

can see with 5 grams between the 2, they're both 2.5 but they have found some 83 P

and D Lincoln cents on copper planchets so you want to weigh those up as well and

then more recently an 89 d an 89 d almost seven years after they stopped

making copper pennies they found an 89 D on a copper planchet unfortunately

that's a zinc planchet 2.5 grams as well and then finally a 1990 surfaced up also

on a copper planchet 1990 D and that one's also zinc so in summary guys

it pays to weigh your Lincoln cents it takes a little time have a little scale

you could also tell by dropping them I only recommend dropping coins that are

circulated condition but if you drop it you can hear kind of a thud you drop

a copper one it has kind of a ding and you can hear the difference there so you

can tell by dropping them as well not really the best method it's not

foolproof but at the end of the day make sure you're weighing your 82d

small dates you're 83 D and P you're 89 Ds and your 1990 D pennies because

if you can find one of those five pennies on a copper planchet you'll fetch

yourself a pretty penny for it no pun intended well maybe... alright

everyone hope you enjoyed the video if you did please give me a thumbs up and

as always happy hunting and thanks for watching

blink-182 on Messing Around on Stage & Their Controversial Lyrics (2001) | #TBMTV - Duration: 9:35.

- That questions our ability as musicians.

- Yeah (laughs).

- Three hours he learned our whole career of best songs.

(laughing)

(typewriter sound effect)

- So what actually happened?

I guess this was, Travis kind of got in some

altercation with some guy at a restaurant?

- Yeah, he was at a Taco Bell

and there were these two redneck, loser yahoos

dudes that were physically abusing his girlfriend

so he and his girlfriend left the restaurant

and they went across the street

and they drove up in a truck and hopped out

and just started beating him.

- Wow.

- And trying to defend himself

he broke his pinky finger on his right hand?

- Yeah

- One of his hands.

- Well you see, on one of his hands

he had a brace too because

he's had troubles with his wrist

from drumming like Carpal Tunnel kind of thing.

So he had a brace on

and Travis is a small guy too

so he just like, "Yeah I'm not gonna fight you."

And then he had to - Right.

He got some punches in I think.

- [John] Wow.

- A pretty good one.

- [John] Did you guys go out a lot

without bodyguards and stuff?

- We're not that kind band.

- We're not that. I always feel arrogant

if you walk around with a bodyguard.

It just seems like...

For us just being...we are just

total normal dudes, everyday guys.

So this is all really new to us.

People recognizing us when we go out places

or things like that especially.

- Mm-hmm

- I don't know.

I always felt like a dork when I had

security with me for whatever.

Even just walking into a venue I felt stupid.

- We have a whole new scheme we're trying to do now.

After Travis, the incident with Travis

we're actually gonna step it up

from just one security guard.

We're gonna get wizards and warlocks.

- Yeah.

- Yeah, medieval security. - (laughs)

We're gonna hire this company called

Medieval Security and have wizards come in

and if anybody tries to mess with us

we're gonna cast a spell on them.

It'll be cool.

- Or ninjas with swords?

I mean no one's gonna mess with you

with that kind of stuff.

- Exactly.

- A night in shining armor and a horse?

- So when this happened, it was

just a few hours before the show, right?

- Mm-hmm

- Was it just natural that you

went to Damon and said...

- But I was...you know

we had originally there's

three things we can do.

There's two drummers that we knew

in existence that could learn something really quickly.

And then the third thing was we

knew Damon knew a couple songs.

We knew he was a good drummer

and we just kinda said okay what

can we do right now?

We obviously can't fly anybody

and we can't cancel the show.

We had 10,000 tickets sold and

in four hours they're gonna let the kids in the door.

So we just look at Damon and Damon's like,

"I know the songs."

And so we went in there.

We went through every single song

and he didn't mess up once.

Granted it's not going to be as well as when Travis plays.

Travis is an amazing drummer

and we don't sound as good but

we're able to get through the show

and I think that's what's important

for all the kids that have bought

tickets on the tour.

It's still the same stupid jokes

that Mark and I'll spit off in the microphone

75 percent of the time.

There's hardly any music as it is.

- [John] (laughs)

- That one review said,

"They played for an hour and 15 minutes

and I think 25 minutes of it was actually music."

- [John] (laughs)

- Yep

- Which is about right.

- [John] Is that right?

- We have this really bad problem

where we think we're funny and

we actually think people wanna hear

what we have to say.

- But at least it's like fresh every night, right?

I mean you kinda improvise what you

talk about on stage, right? - Yeah

- It's not like the same...

- We always cover the same topics though

- Yeah we usually talk about the same things

or there might be a joke that works

and you end up using it for a couple nights in a row

but we never know when we're walking on stage

what kind of diarrhea's gonna come out

of our mouth's at any particular moment.

- It's honestly it is always improv.

We always talk about sex, incest, bestiality

whatever things come in our mind.

The past couple nights there's been beach balls

and Mark'll actually stop and put his guitar down

and I'll put mind down and

we'll start playing with the beach balls

- Yeah they'll get ya moving in the middle of the set.

- Right, right - Real fun

- Is there any inclination when you guys part now

that the audience, tell me whether the audience has changed

since the Enema record, but it just seems to me

that with the TRL world sort of having

embraced Blink as part of it that

you probably got at least a few

Christina and Britney fans out there

in the crowd.

- Oh, I'm sure. - Right.

- How can you...

- You know being on TRL, being on MTV

there's no way that people,

younger kids or younger girls aren't

gonna be exposed to our band and come to the show

but we still do the same things

that we've been saying since we started back in '93.

And so I think, there's been a lot of parents

that have actually pulled their

kids out of the show(laughs)

- You know what's so funny?

We literally will sit there

during our song, we actually have songs

with nothing but cuss words.

And we'll be playing these songs

and we can look out and for quick flashes

of the light in the audience

you see parents infuriating,

just so mad they stand up and they grab their kids

and you see them walking out

while you're in the middle of a song.

- [John] (laughs)

- But you know we don't write songs for parents.

- It's all in good fun too.

The things that we say on stage

are the things that kids say to each other

at school or when they're hanging out

or whatever and just because we say it

in front of 10,000 people a night

all of a sudden we're the bad guys.

- [John] (laughs)

- It makes us bad. You know what's funny though?

We've been a band for almost nine and a half years

and when we first started day one

Mark and I had diarrhea of the mouth

so bad but now there's people watching us.

But the thing with MTV and with the radio

we always sing songs about girls,

love and just teenage angst.

So you have these 90% of the people that bought our record

that might not have ever seen us before

God they...

- [Mark] They'll learn their lesson after this tour.

- THey'll come see a show and have no idea

what kind of humans we really are.

But we've been this way forever.

I mean all the punker kids knew it.

- [John] Sure

- But those shows were only 400 people

and they all had mohawks and blue hair

and whatever but now you have fans...

- Hey, there's a dude with a mohawk here tonight.

- Yeah I would love it when the punkers show up.

(laughing)

Little credibility.

- He'll probably leave after Bad Religion.

- He'll leave after Bad Religion (laughing)

- I was just sayin, I just was talking

about Bad Religion with this new video

with these little punk kids in the do-it-yourself

punk kit with like tattoos and you know

- We should sell those - Do-it-yourself piercings.

- That's pretty cool I haven't seen that video.

- Yeah it's cool.

It's like five, four or five year old kids

like putting on with mohawks.

- Ah, that's cool.

- So talking about playing venues

of 15-20,000, is it...

Are you guys still sometimes just

kind of amazed at...

- I totally am.

Every single day on this tour

when we drive up to the venue

we'll pull in the parking lot and I go,

"We're not playing that place."

(laughing)

They'll go "Yeah, that's the venue tonight."

I'll be all, "No, uh-uh.

That's not our venue."

It's definitely very different now

than it ever has been before and

I think we're all a little just

freaked out about the whole thing.

- It's weird.

- You play these kind of places

that to have this kind of attendance

at the shows is a dream that every band has but

- The funniest thing though is the artists

that really play these venues

take their career really seriously.

They've worked their whole life

to become a great singer-songwriter

and we go up there, we just write songs

about humping people's moms.

(laughing)

And we get sold out. It's insane

- Exactly.

So, I guess we kind of wonder why do they spend so much time

- They gotta loosen up - Exactly (laughs)

- Don't play good.

Don't worry if you don't sing on cue

- You know all these people that

normally play these venues can

sing on key, know how to play their instrument,

have integrity with their music,

take themselves seriously and

we don't have any of that.

- No but it's more fun that way.

We're the only band that can completely

mess up a song and look at each other,

blame each other and then we

might play it three more time to prove

that we really know how to play it.

Then that's the end of the show.

We go back and...

- See, this is less performance for us.

It's more practice

- Yes. - Mm-hmm

- If we go up on stage,

we're still learning all the words to the songs

even now halfway through the tour.

So if we make a mistake we'll stop a song.

Go, "Okay, who messed up?

You?" And we'll start over.

- It's usually me.

- So, I think in like a month's worth of

reviews and stuff I've read

written about the tour so far,

about a good half the articles talk about

who are Blink 182?

Are they now still a punk band?

Can we consider them a punk band?

Are they now a pop band?

- I'm an artist.

- You guys give much thought to that?

And what you represent to people?

- We really try not to spend to much time

thinking about what we're suppose to be.

Are we're suppose to be a punk band?

Are we suppose to be whatever?

We do the exact same thing today

we've been doing for years and years and years.

And we're playing in front of a lot more people

but we're still writing the same kind of music,

still doing the same things we always have.

So we try not to...

If we say "Yeah, we're a total punk band"

then there's gonna be a thousand people

that say okay here's all the reasons why you're not punk.

And they're gonna list them off.

- But we have a couple of reasons why are.

(laughing)

Just to let you know.

- [John] I'm not saying you're not,

- No I understand why people have that

tendency or need to categorize bands

because you want to be able to

understand what they're all about.

Yeah you could say we're a punk band

but you can also say we're a pop band.

We're just...

- [John] I think it fuels the comparison

to have a band like Bad Religion

on the road with you - Right.

- Because it just, especially journalists

are gonna go, well...

I guess my first question is

You guys are fans of their's?

- Totally.

Bad Religion was the second punk band I ever listened to.

The first punk music I ever heard was

Descendants "I Don't Wanna Grow Up"

but then right after that I heard

Bad Religion's Suffer CD

and I've been a fan ever since.

I was telling Greg Graffin back at the beginning of the tour

what a huge fan I've always been of Bad Religion.

I showed him my ticket stubs from

Hollywood Palladium back in '92

and all these things.

So watching them play every night

is just a huge honor for us to just

be able to watch em play and then

have them on tour is just the best thing ever.

But I think it's rad because

a lot of the kids that come to the show

probably have never even heard of Bad Religion

or don't know what it's really all about.

So what Bad Religion gave to us we're giving back

to the kids of the next generation hopefully.

- But we're gonna stop giving to the kids after this.

We're over it.

- Yeah, that's it. (laughing)

No more freebies.

- No more freebies for the kids.

(logo sound effect)

Today we talk about the Vatican Gardens. First our reporter gives us a brief overview, then we will talk to experts and tourists.

You listen to 93.3 Radio Vatican on Sunday.

*The Vatican Gardens*

The Vatican gardens are a garden that occupy half of the territory of the Vatican with 22 hectares, ie 200,000 square meters. They consist, like many large gardens, of several smaller gardens in different styles. The gardens were first mentioned in the 13th century. At first they had purely economic benefits. The cultivation of crops largely provided for the Vatican itself. They lost their economic function in the 15th century, when they became more of a garden of recreation. From Lake Bracciano 40 kilometers away, water was brought to the fountains.

While the garden was expanded in the 17th century for botanical purposes, he experienced in the 19th century a transformation to the English landscape garden. The Vatican Gardens are surrounded by the Leonid Wall and include the Vatican Hill, which at 60 meters is the highest mountain in the Vatican. The garden is largely designed by human hands and traversed by a dense network of trails. It is usually not accessible to visitors.

*Radio Vatican on Sunday - Interview*

With me is now Mr. Giardiniere, an expert on the Vatican gardens. Mr. Giardiniere, what can you tell us about the garden?

The diversity of this garden is indescribable. From simple green spaces to dense forests to your own helicopter landing pad. Eucalyptus, plane trees, palm trees and more grow in the park. Similarly, there are more exotic plants: Australian auracaria, magnolia, Chinese jasmine and Phoenix palms. Some of the most important buildings are the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery, the already mentioned Leonidian Wall, the Tower of the Winds, the heliport connecting the Vatican with the two Roman airports and also their editorial staff, just to name a few examples.

As you have already said, the garden consists of many parts. For example, there is an Italian Renaissance garden, a French and an American garden, as well as an English landscape garden.

Thank you, Mr Giardiniere! Mrs. Histoire is already waiting to tell us something about some buildings!

Correct! These buildings are just incredibly interesting. There is, for example, the monastery Mater Ecclesiae. The name is Latin for "Mother of the Church". It was inaugurated in 1994 and is run by religious women. It has two very interesting features: The women religious alternate every five years, that is, every five years, another order takes over the monastery. This is unique so far. On the other hand there lives the emeritus Pope Benedict the Sixteenth. Incidentally, the nuns who live here do not just pray, but with their small section of the garden they feed the pope's household.

The Tower of the Winds is the former Vatican Observatory. She is 73 meters high. Built under Gregory the Thirteenth in 1578, it not only served for star-gazing and wind measurements, but was also an integral part of the Gregorian calendar reform. History can be very interesting, right? I also researched her editorial office: Radio Vatican was the Vatican foreign broadcaster from 1931 to 2017, right? Now he is integrated into the Vatican Communications Secretariat and integrated into the "Vatican News".

This radio began with a speech by Pope Pius the 11th and ended in that form with Pope Francis' reforms.

Thank you for all the detailed information! We have now put together some opinions of tourists for you!

*Radio Vatican - Opinions*

What did you especially like about your visit to the Vatican Gardens?

I found it particularly interesting that the Vatican is so independent. I did not expect such a small state to have its own train station, court and helipad. One has already heard of the great St. Peter's Basilica, but there is so much more here ...

I really liked the peace in the park. Because only a small group of people are allowed in these gardens, and only with guidance, it is so quiet there, in the middle of this noisy city ...

This is the second-greatest Country in the world after america. They have all the best gardens, and they are great. They should let more tourists in to make their economy great again. Maybe we should build a huge Trump Tower in here.

I come from Germany and find it very interesting that in the Vatican Gardens there is a small section of the Berlin Wall, designed by Yadegar Asisi.

*??????*

Uhhh ... That was not the question, Mr. Oettinger ...

I was impressed by the Swiss Guard. I did not think that they would really be used as a sentry, I thought that's more like show ...

All these beautiful exotic plants ... And the silence ... Great...

And that's the end of today's program. I hope we have been able to arouse your interest in this beautiful garden and remember that if you want to visit us, you must make a reservation in advance! That was Vatican on Sunday, we wish you a nice day and hopefully you´ll tune back in soon!

Soros Just Got Kicked Out Of California After What His Liberal Evil Empire Against Trump Tried To Do - Duration: 5:34.

Soros Just Got Kicked Out Of California After What His Liberal Evil Empire Against Trump

Tried To Do.

New York billionaire George Soros did not count on the people of California to rise

up against his regime to say "NO MORE!"

Despite George Soros' multimillion-dollar effort to reshape the criminal justice system

in California by propping up progressive district attorney candidates, that plan backfired in

epic fashion this week as a significant amount of Soros backed candidates suffered major

defeats.

Soros spent millions to influence the elections in an attempt to buy the elections for potential

prosecutors who favor lower incarceration rates along with significant crackdowns on

police misconduct.

These Soros backed candidates also favored significant changes in the current bail system

that they claim unfairly discriminates against minorities and the poor.

However, it seems that most of the millions went to waste as a significant number of Soros-backed

candidates lost to more traditional law-and-order prosecutors that did not favor progressive

policies but instead favor accountability for wrongdoing and have a much more positive

attitude towards law enforcement.

Fox News reports of the outcome of the recent California elections:

"In Sacramento County, District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert defeated Noah Phillips

by a nearly 2-to-1 margin, getting 65 percent of the vote.

Phillips led an insurgent campaign, attacking Schubert for failing to prosecute a police

officer who shot a civilian.

He reportedly received around $400,000 from Soros and admitted Soros' team scripted

and paid for a TV ad during the campaign, the Los Angeles Times reported.

His fundraising efforts received help from Cari Tuna, wife of Facebook co-founder Dustin

Moskovitz, who contributed more than $650,000 to a political action committee led by Black

Lives Matter activist Shaun King.

"This is a good day for the people," Schubert told to a crowd of about 100 supporters after

she won the election, the Sacramento Bee reported.

"You can't buy an election in the county of Sacramento.

Here's to four more years."

Geneviéve Jones-Wright, the Soros-favored candidate in San Diego County, also suffered

a major defeat Tuesday.

She got only 36 percent of the vote while her opponent, District Attorney Summer Stephan,

received more than 60 percent.

Soros spent more than $1.5 million in the race, funneling the money to a political action

committee that propped up Jones-Wright's candidacy as she pledged to form a police-misconduct

unit and supported progressive reform of the criminal justice system.

Stephan fought back against the influence of outside money in the race, declaring Soros'

backing a public safety threat.

Jones-Wright, meanwhile, insisted the money merely gave a voice to minorities and poor

people.

In Alameda County, in the San Francisco Bay Area, District Attorney Nancy O'Malley fended

off a challenge from Pamela Price, reportedly receiving more than 60 percent of the vote.

O'Malley said she was surprised the outside donors tried to oust her, given that she's

a registered Democrat and was endorsed by U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., organized

labor and other Democratic groups.

Soros' PAC accused O'Malley during the campaign of implementing "racist" stop-and-frisk

policies and Price criticized her for being cozy with law enforcement groups.

But there was one victory for the wealthy liberals Tuesday.

Progressive DA candidate Diana Becton received a majority of the votes in Contra Costa County,

also in the Bay Area, though not enough to secure an outright victory.

She will now face off against Senior Deputy District Attorney Paul Graves – who came

second – in a run-off election.

Graves criticized the influence of wealthy outsiders, describing them as "billionaires

who apparently think Contra Costa's public safety is for sale."

In other counties – such as Yolo County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County

– where wealthy donors also spent money, albeit on a significantly smaller scale, most

progressives candidates suffered defeats.

One exception: reform-minded defense attorney Jason Anderson, who managed to win in San

Bernardino County against four-term DA Michael Ramos."

Despite a few victories for Soros' backed candidates, the citizens of California sent

a very clear message.

They are clearly sick and tired of being expected to fund a government run amok that merely

views the citizenry as mere tax cattle.

California Governor Jerry Brown is the highest paid governor in the nation, yet Californians

have little to show for it except more regulations and more taxes.

This recent victory goes to show that good people can win.

However, the citizenry of Calfornia also needs to take heed of this victory and note that

they are far from done.

They may have won a battle, but the war is not over.

Calfornia did not fall into disarray overnight and neither will it be repaired overnight.

They must stay diligent and continue working together towards the effort of taking their

state back.

Dr. Virginia Apgar: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 8:39.

Dr. Virginia Apgar: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Virginia Apgar, an American anesthetist who is credited with being a pioneer in the field of neonatology, or the medical care of newborn infants, is being celebrated with a Google Doodle.

June 7, 2018, marks what would have been her 109th birthday.

In addition to her groundbreaking studies, which helped to detect birth defects within moments of a baby's birth, Apgar is best known for being the inventor of the Apgar score, which is a way to assess the health of newborn children immediately after their birth.

Time reports that the method is responsible for a decrease in the infant mortality rate in the 1950s.

Here's what you need to know about Dr.

Virginia Apgar:.

She Developed an Interest in Medicine at an Early Age.

  Virginia Apgar (1909-1974).

A post shared by mujeresenlasombra (@mujeresenlasombra) on Mar 25, 2018 at 1:35pm PDT.

Apgar was born in New Jersey on June 7th, 1909.

She developed a passion for medicine at an early age, partly through her father; who was an amateur astronomer and electrician, and partly through her siblings; who were forced to deal with chronic illness.

According to TIME, Apgar's oldest brother died of tuberculosis before she was even born, while her other brother Lawrence was bedridden for much of his childhood.

These experiences were pivotal for Apgar, as they established a desire to help children that would go on to define her medical career.

After graduating from Westfield High School in 1925, Apgar attended Mount Holyoke College, where she majored in zoology and was involved in a number of school clubs.

According to the U.S.

National Library of Medicine, Apgar was a reporter for the school newspaper, an actor in the school's theatre troupe, and an athlete on seven of the school's sports teams. One professor took note of her exceptional work ethic, telling the Library of Medicine: "It is seldom that one finds a student so thoroughly immersed in her subject and with such a wide knowledge of it.".

Apgar graduated from Mount Holyoke in 1929, and shortly after, began training at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons.

She completed her M.D.

in 1933 with the intention of becoming a surgeon.

She Helped Bolster the Medical Field of Anesthesiology.

  Dr.

Virginia Apgar (June 7, 1909 – August 7, 1974) was an American obstetrical anesthesiologist.

She was a leader in the fields of anesthesiology and teratology, and introduced obstetrical considerations to the established field of neonatology.

To the public, however, she is best known as the inventor of the Apgar score, a way to quickly assess the health of newborn children immediately after birth.

Thank you for your great contribution mam….

FLY FISHING: How to Get Started (casting, techniques, flies) - FLY TV - Duration: 30:38.

Welcome to FLY TV!

– My name is Steffan Jensen. – I am David Lundh.

Today, we are doing this:

Up, accelerate and forward.

This spot is a bit special as the water is running.

My first fish on my own!

This was my first time fly fishing. I am sure it will not be the last.

We have rigged your rod now.

Are you ready to do some casting?

Have you ever had a fly rod?

I have never cast with a fly rod, but it will be interesting to try.

I think you will do well.

We will start by giving you the rod.

Some say you cannot put your finger there, some say you should have your thumb there.

Then some want you to do this with this finger.

I think you should hold it like you hold a hand when greeting someone.

Grip the rod.

Is that okay for you? Do you feel comfortable with the grip?

– I feel comfortable with this grip. – Then we will start like that.

Give me the rod.

You are sitting on a chair and your phone is on the table.

The phone is ringing. How do you pick it up?

I pick it up like this and answer like this.

No one is there, so you put it back down.

That is almost what you do when fly casting.

If your phone is upright, you would take it like this.

Then you lift it up to your ear.

Okay, there is no one there. You pause to see if there is anyone there.

Then you put it down again. Almost like that.

You have to hold the line between your fingers.

Then I go up, back, up and forward.

Up, accelerate and forward.

Try once and I will have a look.

Okay.

Yeah, and forward.

There is a lot of wind coming in from many different directions.

It is a bit difficult to get the right movement on the line.

But I can see your movements. That is what I am looking at.

I am not looking that much on the line.

Does you dad every get angry and hammers the table?

Sometimes.

Think of him.

That is your forward movement. You put your hand in the table.

Good.

Back, stop, forward. Perfect.

That is because of the wind.

Normally when we cast, we do not hold the line here.

We have it over here. Pull out a little bit of line.

Just hold the line in that hand. Do not mind this hand at this moment.

Just use it to keep the line.

When we have come further, we will begin using this hand too.

It is just holding the line now. Try to do the same thing as before.

Good.

Up.

Good.

Good, good.

I want to show you one thing.

You have been practising for a little while now, about 15 minutes.

When you get your fly out, after making a cast,-

-then we start to fish.

I will show you the flies later. But it can be a fly we have to pull back.

You put the line on this finger and then strip it in.

You see the end of the fly line, it is almost inside the rod.

Just a little bit is hanging out.

We need to get all of this line out again.

That is when we need to shoot the line, when we cast it.

You are fishing the line, all the way in.

Just do as you did before, the same movements.

You go up and forward, but you let the line go a little bit.

Then you go back and out, out.

Look at it.

Do the same thing as before. Go back and forward.

Back and forward. Let a little bit of line go.

Grab it and go back again. Then forward and let the line go a bit.

Continue to do that until all of the line is out.

The trick is to not let the fly touch the water or the grass behind you.

It always has to be in the air. Try it and we will see.

– Did it hit the grass? – I think so.

Yeah, a little bit.

What you need to do... Can I show you?

I will just pull it in a bit.

You need to speed it up a bit. You need to be a bit faster.

Go up and then forward.

With a very short line, you need to have more speed.

Just to make it work.

Try it.

Good.

You will sure hit the grass or the water, of course.

It is your first time fly fishing, you cannot know everything.

I will give you five more minutes and I will watch you.

Then we should start to fish.

– Sounds good? – Perfect.

Good. It is looking good.

– Thanks. – I think we whould leave it.

Let's see if we can catch a fish. We can practise more later.

– What do you think? – Sounds good.

Let's go and find a fly.

The first thing we will do now is to check the leader.

To see if it is alright. There may be some knots.

Sometimes it is just not good enough.

Let's just check it.

But it is alright.

We will switch this one to a real fly.

– That is a pretty bad fly. – You think so?

It is good enough for you.

Let's have a look at your fly box.

Let's have a look.

We have seen some fish down here.

We need to find a fly that we hope they will eat.

Here we go.

A lot of different flies.

We have some dry flies, some nymphs and some streamers.

There are some floating ones for sinking lines.

We are using a floating line.

We can see that the fish is standing quite high in the water.

But they are not eating on the surface.

I think we should begin with a little streamer.

I think we should try the green one. Like this.

It could also be a nymph, a little nymph streamer thing.

Let's try it.

We want to tie this fly to our leader.

When I use this kind of fly, or a nymph,-

-I always tie them so they are hanging loose.

In a loop. A loop knot.

Do you know how to tie a loop knot?

Yes, but I do not think it is the loop knot you mean.

I make a regular knot first.

Just put it around like this. That line should be on top.

Then pull it up through, to make a normal knot.

I actually do not know the English word for this knot.

Just an easy one.

Pinch that one and put the fly through.

The line through the hook.

Like that.

Take the tip and go back through the little hole right here.

Through there.

Just place the knot where you want it.

Just a little bit of... Do you see that?

Then I pinch it again and then I go around five times.

Like this.

And back in.

Into this hole.

Then I wet it.

Always wet your knots. You probably know that.

Then I pull it.

Loose hanging. I always want maximum movement.

It should not be stuck one side.

Let's put it...

I normally put my fly up here, because our leaders are quite long.

If it is down here when you start to cast, your fly line is always inside the rod.

It is not easy to get the fly out if the fly line is inside the rod.

Just pull the line down, around the rod like that.

Then you are ready to go.

We are going down here, but we have sneak carefully.

They are every close.

We are going to take it slow, we will not run down.

We are just going to... We will start with some very short casts.

Come on.

I think we should put some line out. We will make it all ready from up here.

Get the fly out, like this. The first cast should not be any longer.

We will sneak down here. It does not matter how stupid it looks.

It is always better to be careful when you walk down to the water.

Especially when the water is this clear.

Hold the rod and the fly. Make a low profile.

See if you can get down to that rock.

Before we make the first cast, we just sit for a couple of minutes.

Let's see if we can see anything.

We just want to put the fly out towards that tree over there.

Just let it drift first, do not do anything.

Just straight out, let it drift and hold it.

Pull it back in when it comes down here.

No, it is a perch!

Your first fish on the fly, but not the one we were looking for.

– I am the next perch... – You sure are, man.

Not the biggest one ever, but it is still a perch.

Well done!

Still, a fish took the fly.

Hopefully, we will get a big one.

And maybe a trout or a rainbow.

Let's do something else.

We will go back up.

There is no fish standing here. It is one there, but it is too far away.

We go back up, then we go around to that tree instead.

We will leave them here.

– You can see our shadows, right? – Yes.

You do want the shadows to go too far out over the water.

It is okay to have it in here, but there is a fish out there.

Do you see that?

– Yes, I see it. – Let's come down here.

Always hold the line around your finger.

If the fish takes your fly, you just pull the line to set the hook.

Okay, let's try again.

Look at the fly.

There is a fish coming. It is coming, look at the fly.

No, it turned around.

There is another one. Are you ready?

It just looked at it. Let it drift, let it drift.

Try to get it a bit farther out. A little bit farther.

There.

Lift, lift, lift!

Good job!

Finally!

If it wants to run, just let it run.

Remember that the leader is very thin.

If it wants to swim, just let it swim.

Just release the handle.

Your first rainbow trout ever, on a little dry fly.

If it wants to swim, just let it swim.

Perfect.

These fish are strong fighters. Perfect side pressure.

You turn it the other way around.

I will stand over here, try to pull it towards me.

Keep it there, keep it there.

Come on!

Nice!

Well done!

– Look at that. – That is not a perch.

I cannot find the leader. I think it is over there.

– I do not need this one. – It is already off.

Lift it up.

– With both hands. – Like this?

Just hold it until it is ready to swim.

– It is ready. – Alright.

– Well done! – Thanks!

– That was good fun! – Yes, it was.

When you pull this, you tighten it up.

You can see a bit of movement. Not more than that.

Try to cast over there.

Try to cast it out there.

Try it again.

Yes! Let go, let go, let go!

That looks like a big fish. It looks like a big fish.

Watch your fingers, watch your fingers.

Let it go, just let it go.

– This one is crazy. – It is one crazy fish.

– Is it in there? – Oh shit!

It will hopefully swim around to the other side.

– Come up here. – Okay.

Pull the line over the grass. Good.

Yeah, there it is.

Is this bigger or smaller than the last one?

I think it is about the same size, but it was much stronger.

In the beginning.

Just a little bit further.

– I got it! – Nice.

– Well done! – Thanks!

– Come down here. – That may be bigger.

It is a lot fatter. Just put it backwards towards me.

You got it.

What a beautiful fish. Really nice.

Let's put it back.

Well done!

You are the man now!

Well...

– That was a good training session. – Yeah, it was so much fun.

– You enjoyed it? – Yeah.

Tomorrow is the big day.

Tomorrow we need more action.

I think we should wrap it up for tonight and get ready for tomorrow.

Let's go.

A very early morning.

We have tried a streamer and a nymph, but we saw some fish rising.

Then we put on this tiny dry fly. A size 16 or something.

And it worked!

– A beautiful fish! – Yeah, a beautiful fish.

Really beautiful.

Bye bye!

– Well done! – Thanks!

– It is good fun. – Yeah.

It is only about six or seven o'clock. The sun has just come up.

– We can end it here if you want to. – No.

It is time to try the things I have learned.

Steffan is over there and I am on my own now.

I left David all alone over there.

I think it is time for him to fish on his own.

He has made good progress and done so many things right.

It is time for him to cast one his own and also learn on his own.

I do not want to be standing there and telling him what to do.

I want him to get some experience on his own.

You will learn way more like that, than if I were to tell him what to do.

I will let him fish on his own for a bit. I will watch him from over here.

Hopefully he will get some fish.

This spot that I have brought David to to learn fly fishing-

-is called Norrbyströmmen.

This spot is a bit special, because there is running water.

You can fish currents and use dry flies that drift.

Any put and take water is a good place to start.

It is a limited area and you know there is fish in the water.

It is not like starting off in the sea with sea trouts.

Or anything else that may feel very difficult.

You know there are fish here and you know you will catch one.

Sooner or later.

Just start in a put and take or in a smaller lake.

Enjoy!

– On a streamer this time. – Yes, it was a really good take.

Was it a hard take?

It does not like the sight of me.

Got it.

Nice.

My first fish on my own.

– Look at that beautiful fish. – That is a beautiful fish.

We have almost fished for a whole day.

You have tried many different kinds of flies.

Do you remember the names?

–Streamers, nymphs and dry flies. – Exactly.

Maybe we should... Take your box out.

We could show the difference between the flies we have been using.

Pick up a streamer.

Do you know or remember what it can imitate or look like?

I do not really remember, but it can look like a bait fish.

Exactly, some kind of bait fish.

– What is special about the dry fly? – It is floating.

What could it imitate?

Insects on the surface.

Exactly, like a mayfly, a caddis or a sedge.

Can you find a nymph?

Here.

I do not think we have talked about it.

The nymph fly is the "pre-dry fly", before it becomes an adult.

It always lives in the water.

That is the difference between a dry fly and a nymph.

The nymphs often crawl on the bottom, and swim towards the surface.

Before they develop into a full size insect.

One of these dry flies.

That is also a pre-stage before being fully developed.

It goes from... Not these exact flies though.

The nymph stage, then it comes up to the surface.

When it is just on the surface, it develops to a full insect.

This one is just hanging on the surface, pops out and becomes a full insect.

What have you been doing with the dry fly?

I let it float up to the surface and then float with the current.

Then the fish took it on the surface.

And how about the streamer?

Drifting with the current and placing it beside the current.

Exactly, you have been retrieving to make it go both fast and slow.

Trying different kinds of things.

We have tried the nymphs, but we did not get any reaction.

You often drift them with the current as well.

Or slowly handtwist them.

These are the types of flies we have been using so far.

These are three main types of flies that we are using.

You have been using a floating line on your rod or on your reel.

It is most common to use a floating line. You can still put a weighted fly on it.

You can fish a dry fly on it.

– That is a good place to start. – I have tried with a sinking line too.

The leaders we have been using...

All the way down from 4X, 0.17 mm, which is very thin-

-and up to 0.28 mm with the big fly.

It needs a heavier leader.

It is a bit bigger thicker here than...

The leader on that one is a tapered leader to help you get a better turnover.

It is good to start with a 0.20 mm for the normal streamers.

And the nymphs.

Maybe a bit thinner, like 0.18 mm, for the small dry flies.

The problem when they are too thin is that they break when you hook a fish.

It was pretty tricky in the beginning. The more I practised the more I learned.

This was my first time fly fishing. I am sure it will not be the last.
