So a bunch of hands on pictures of the Pixel 3 XL has been leaked and it shows the phone

from all angles.

It seems that Google won't be jumping on the "double camera" bandwagon, but it does seem

to follow the stupid notch trend.

The glass back could be a solid indicator that the device will support the wireless

charging, but you never know, Google might pull off a OnePlus here.

The images also highlight the dual front-facing camera setup, though I still don't know what

the second sensor will be used for some believe it will drive a powerful face-recognition

feature to rival Apple's Face ID, while others claim it will assist the main sensor to deliver

clearer images.

By the way, Notice how Google's trademark G logo has been replaced with a different

emblem on the rear of the device?

That's reportedly used to designate that the unit in question is non-final prototype hardware.

9to5Google has shown an image of Pixel 2 prototypes which shows a phone with a similar logo to

the one we see on this Pixel 3 XL.

It's not exactly the same, as the loop is closed on one edge, but it's enough to reasonably

suggest that this is something Google would do.

Also the image shows that it has just 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Samsung, LG and HTC all are in the same price range (or cheaper) as the Pixel but have 6GB

of RAM.

In other words, you are paying for 6GB of RAM but not getting it.

If you watch some speed tests, the Pixel 2 clearly lacks in keeping apps in the memory.

So if the final version come equipped with 6GB RAM, that would be appreciated a lot.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts on the design in the comments below and I'll see you'll

tomorrow...Peace out!

Former Fox Analyst Blasts Network As "Destructive Propaganda Machine For Trump" - Duration: 3:44.

Former Fox News analyst, retired Lieutenant Colonel Ralph Peters, quit the network recently,

very publicly, because he didn't want to be a part of their propaganda, their pro-Trump

agenda anymore.

This week he gave his first interview since leaving the network, and he spoke with Anderson

Cooper from CNN about how dysfunctional the Fox News Network has truly become.

Take a look.

In the email that you sent your colleagues at Fox News back in March when you told them

you weren't renewing your contract, you said, and I quote, "Fox News is assaulting our Constitutional

order and the rule of law, while fostering corrosive and unjustified paranoia among viewers."

How much damage do you believe they've done to this country and the institutions that

uphold the law?

I think they're doing a great deal of damage still.

We won't know how bad for years to come when we see the ultimate results.

Anderson, for years I was glad to be associated with Fox.

It was a legitimate conservative and libertarian outlet, and a necessary one.

But with the rise of Donald Trump, Fox did become a destructive propaganda machine, and

I don't do propaganda for anyone.

Frankly, as a former military officer, I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution

of the United States, and I saw, in my view, Fox, particularly the primetime hosts, attacking

our Constitutional order, the rule of law, the justice department, the FBI, Robert Mueller,

and oh by the way, the intelligence agencies.

They're doing it for ratings and profit, and they're doing it knowingly in my view, doing

a great, grave disservice to our country.

Peters is 100% correct in his analysis of what that network has become.

Now, I disagree with him about what it allegedly used to be, but this is a guy who spent 10

years of his life going on that network on a constant basis as a paid contributor who

now understands what Fox News is all about.

And with the exception of Shepard Smith, everyone on the network is doing everything that they

can to prop up the Trump administration.

They have been willing to overlook the countless scandals of Donald Trump's Cabinet members.

They've been willing to cast doubt on the Mueller investigation.

And as Peters pointed out, they're attacking every single institution in Washington D.C.

for the sole purpose of protecting Donald Trump.

Heck, at this point, we even have a Fox News host who's currently dating the President's

son.

Fox News is in bed with the Trump administration.

Lou Dobbs.

Sean Hannity.

Get regular phone calls from Donald Trump.

Jeanine Pirro lobbied to be his Attorney General if he would be willing to fire Jeff Sessions.

This network exists today for the sole purpose of propping up Donald Trump.

Anyone who tunes into that network, unless of course again you're watching Shepard Smith,

you are being fed lies and propaganda.

The lies and propaganda that Donald Trump wants you to hear.

Lies that they actually run by Donald Trump during phone conversations each day.

You're not getting the truth.

You're not even getting the right wing version of the truth.

You're witnessing a network dying a slow and painful death because they put all of their

eggs into the Donald Trump basket, and that basket is hurtling towards the ground at an

unprecedented rate.

Why Non Functional Harmony Isn't A Thing (Sort Of) - Duration: 7:13.

hey, welcome to 12tone! as you might imagine, I get a lot of questions about music, and

one of the most common is people asking me to explain how non-functional harmony works.

it's a great question, but it's really hard to answer, because non-functional harmony

isn't really a thing.

ok, that's a pretty inflammatory claim for the theorist crowd, but before I get around

to defending it, let's take a look at the other side of the coin: functional harmony.

we talk about this a lot, but to briefly recap, functional harmony is the idea that different

chords in a key have different, predefined jobs to do.

these fall into three main categories: you have tonic function chords, which provide

a sense of rest, subdominant chords that introduce instability, and then dominant function chords

that are even more unstable, but they're also directional, pointing back to the nice, restful

tonic chords.

traditional functional harmony works by just cycling through these three groups: we start

with tonic, venture out with subdominant, and then we play a dominant chord to point

us home and start all over.

this creates the fairly predictable cycle of tension and release that defines functional

harmony.

not all functional music is that simple, though: we've been using this system for hundreds

of years, and the structures we've built have gotten pretty advanced.

for instance, there's the plagal cadence (bang) where the IV chord, which is subdominant,

resolves directly to the I without going through the dominant.

and then there's things like secondary dominants, tritone substitutions, and so on, but no matter

how complex it gets, all functional music is built on the same set of assumptions about

how harmony is supposed to behave.

functional harmony is a specific model that comes with its own rules, guidelines, and

ideas.

but non-functional harmony… isn't.

it's just any harmony that isn't functional.

like, here's a piece I generated completely randomly: (bang) and it's pretty much impossible

to analyze functionally.

trust me, I've tried.

so clearly non-functional harmony exists, but when I say it's not a thing, what I mean

is this: it's not a model.

it doesn't work in any specific way.

there's no inherent rhyme or reason to it, no underlying structure that connects all

non-functional pieces.

if you tell me a song is non-functional, you've told me something about what it's not, but

almost nothing about what it is.

that's not to say, though, that non-functional pieces have no structure.

different composers and different movements have developed their own models for thinking

about harmony in completely new, unique ways.

one of the most widespread of these is what I'd call Transformational Harmony, where the

relationships between chords are defined by a sort of harmonic closeness, instead of being

based on something like a key center.

this sort of music is perhaps best modeled by a school called Neo-Riemannian Theory.

in it, each major triad is connected to three different minor triads and vice versa, and

we can move through those connections with three specific operations.

the first is the Parallel Transformation, which is where we just switch chord qualities,

like moving from E major to E minor.

second is the Relative Transformation, where we drop down to the VI chord, like E major

to C# minor.

and then there's the Leading Tone Transformation, where we go up to the III chord, like E major

to G# minor.

each of these minor chords is only one note different from our E major triad, so it seems

like a pretty good measure of closeness.

they also work in reverse: if we apply a Leading Tone Transformation to G# minor, we get back

to E major.

from there, we can see how close two chords are by seeing how many transformations it

takes to get from one to the other.

the movement from E to B only takes two, so they're pretty smooth, whereas E to Bb takes

four and feels much less connected.

pieces that use this kind of harmony tend to either try to use only nearby chords to

get a very smooth sound (bang) or only distant chords to create a jagged, disorienting texture.

(bang) either way, though, it's built on the same principles.

this approach gives us some exciting new toys to play with.

traditionally, any given major chord has two other major chord pals: its IV chord and its

V chord. and Neo-Riemannian theory includes that: both those movements take only two transformations.

but it also brings four more chords that are equally close: the chromatic mediants.

these are chords whose roots are a third apart, but they share the same chord quality, so

like E major and C# major.

you'd never see them in a key together, but in a very real sense they're just as close

as the IV and V chords.

another way to relate chords is what I'll call Proximate Harmony, where instead of caring

about how close chords are harmonically, we care about how close they are physically.

you can hear a good example of this in Phantom of the Opera: (bang) now, according to our

Neo-Riemannian rules, these chords are all really far away, and playing through them

so fast should sound really confusing, but it doesn't because the chords are all right

next to each other.

they're just dropping a half-step at a time, and it sounds really smooth. of course, it

helps in this case that the first and last chords, D minor and Bb major, are also pretty

close harmonically, but even without that you can get a pretty good progression out

of just planing, or moving a chord shape up and down a little bit at a time.

yet another approach is what I'd call Two-Chord Harmony, where you just pick any two chords

and move back and forth between them forever.

chromatic mediants are a good tool for this, but really, any two chords will work because

eventually, no matter how far apart they are, that repetition will create a structure in

your listener's mind as they learn to predict the movement.

I'm not gonna go too far into this one, though, 'cause 8-Bit Music Theory already did in their

excellent video on non-functional harmony, which I've linked in the description.

with all these techniques, one thing you have to keep in mind is your harmonic rhythm, or

the speed at which you change chords.

the faster you move through a progression the more connected all the chords will sound,

which means you'll need to be careful that none of them are too far away from any of

the others.

if you go slow enough, though, you can break those connections down and focus just on the

individual transitions, allowing you to create much more distant movements over the same

number of chords.

but not all non-functional harmony lacks a key center.

the term "modal harmony" gets used for a couple different things depending on context, but

here I'm talking about progressions designed to accent the unique characteristics of the

scale as a whole, rather than following any specific pattern of behavior.

for example, the Dorian mode is like the minor scale with a raised sixth degree, (bang) which

leads to three important harmonic changes: the II chord becomes minor instead of diminished,

making it smoother, the IV chord is major instead of minor, making it brighter, and

the VI chord is diminished instead of major which…

honestly makes it pretty hard to use, but a progression that emphasizes the other two

chords (bang) creates a strong sense of Dorian without being particularly functional.

and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

there's so many different theories about harmony out there, and the term "non-functional" describes

all but one of them.

it even applies to things like non-tertian chords, which is a completely different model

for chord construction where instead of building them in stacks of thirds (bang) we use other

intervals, like stacks of fourths (bangs), fifths (bang), or seconds.

(bang) while this isn't usually what people mean when they say "non-functional harmony",

I'd argue that it still counts, and it comes with plenty of its own theories for how it's

supposed to work.

plus, if we look beyond Western h armony, most musical traditions in the world don't

follow the functional model at all.

each of those styles has its own structures, and most of them look very different from

our European ideas.

of course, none of this is to say that the concept of non-functional harmony is useless.

functional harmony is such a huge part of Western music, and Western music has had such

a huge *ahem* influence on many different cultures around the world, so there's definitely

value in recognizing when a piece of music isn't playing by its rules.

but much like darkness isn't really a color, non-functional harmony isn't any particular

model, theory, system, or structure.

it doesn't have rules, guidelines, or even suggestions.

it just isn't functional.

what you do with it beyond that is up to you.

My Cafe in Oxford Style - Duration: 8:29.

hey everyone I'm Ola, and today we are going to play My Cafe: recipes and

stories. in this video I'm going to show you Oxford substyle in English

style so let's go!

alright guys so I have removed all the furniture and I have

also blocked the entrance for new customers because I don't want anyone to

come in. I have installed just one stand from Oxford style with cupcakes on it. so

it's kind of tempting for everyone. whoa! however, now let's install

everything in Oxford style and let's see how it will look and how much tips it

will bring me. so I'm going to the interior and to the English style and

right here one of the latest sub styles, that were added here is the Oxford, and

let's install the flooring first of all and we also have Oxford wallpaper, very

bright in colors, there is a bordo color on top of it, then we have blue, and

beige, and brown, as well. now we also can install the windows, and let's place

three of them, I think, at the similar distance from one another. and I still

have to think about the layout of my cafe furniture, because I have a huge

cafe. I will probably start from the freezers because they're most difficult

in the layout and I'll probably put them just in the corner. they're also stylish

from the Northern Lights, but I really need stylish equipment because I need to

earn rubies. and now let's place the stands. so what I did here is that I

installed the stands. I have a lot of stylish machines, and I have used

different styles, because they all bring me rubies. I have made the main wall full

of different drinks machines and the syrups, and then another section for

stylish drinks. and then I have made several rows for desserts

I have also placed the phone right here and the spice box in the corner. right

now I suggest that we proceed to bar counters, and sitting places so that we

can invite our customers into the cafe. so I'm going to leave a little bit of space

in between the stands and the bar counters, and I want my customers to sit

closer to the window, I think it will be cozier for them. actually I have placed

eight of them for the symmetry and I think right here we are ready for the

chairs and just take a look at them! I really love their legs. right now the

chairs are in, and I think it's high time we install the service table, as well. now

actually you see the service table better matches the stand, so I'll

probably move it, probably right here. though it's kind of standing fourth, where

everyone is standing in three, I think it will be alright for now. we also need the

topping shelves, and the ice cream before we invite our customers into the cafe. oh

here they are and the best place for them is actually

just over the freezers or near the syrups, as well. but we can now place them just

in one row because we have a huge cafe, we have a lot of space for fitting all

the three topping shelves just close to each other, right here like that.

and now I'm going to place the toppings. now all the toppings are in the cafe and

I usually place them by three because otherwise it will look just not really

good. ice cream freezers will go here, because I actually love how they look

here - they're in different styles also, but oh, well. so now I'm ready to actually

remove this stand, but you know what? I will probably place it somewhere here. I

guess, cupcakes will go there, and now I'm welcoming my first customers into the

cafe. we also need to install some tables because otherwise the customers will

just sit at the bar counters and this is not what I want. so first thing that we

have is Oxford's couch, definitely. it is the main piece in all furniture styles,

and I think it will fit just right here, just in the middle, in the center. it

looks just amazing. we have tables for four and tables for two and, actually, as

you see right here, tables for four just cost a lot! and did you know that

customers usually sit at the most expensive furniture? so let's install a

couple of tables for four and a couple of tables for two. I think that a couple

of tables for four will go straight here. I love the chairs here as

well: they're a little bit different from the barstools, but just take a look at

the legs! and let's place a little bit more tables for two. maybe let's place

three of them: we need to count how many customers we can fit in... now I think

everyone can fit into our cafe even if it's full, but if someone else comes in,

like a new customer. I'll probably have to think of how to fit all of them. what

is left is definitely decorations. so let's go and buy the Oxford menu. the

first thing that we have to buy and let's hang it just right here. this is the

best place for it, I guess. what else do we have in our interior? so

we have oxford centerpieces: I really love them! let's place them just all over

the tables. oh, it's a beautiful plant, do you know how it's called? and the final

one goes for Mary! hey! now we also have those Oxford vases of flowers, they are

also very beautiful. I think we will just place them at the

entrance, because I love when there are flowers at the entrance, although you can

place up to ten of them, so this is actually great, because you can place

them also at the windows, in the empty corners, they actually filll everything.

just like this. what else do we have here, let's take a look:

we have those oxford sconces, which are round and very expensive, also. so let's

place them just near the windows. so this is how you can place them. what do you

think of them? I think they're very funny. actually. and we also need to place the

oxford floor lamps, also up to ten of them. they're different from the sconces

that are actually very classic in style. and we can just place them near the

couch. I don't think we need a lot of them, however. Oxford style is not very

cheap, guys as you can see, but when you're at level 29, this is the high

time when you start exploring different styles and playing with the design. I

have also decided to place another vase of flowers just right here in the corner,

and please don't forget about our simple items, like let's go to the storehouse

and I think that we have something like... yeah! award shelf, a TV, grandfather's

clock... I think the grandfather's clock will

look just perfect here. now I can ask Fernando about the tips that the style

brings us, he says that there are a lot of different styles, giving me tips

because of the stylish items, but the main style is English and it gives me

609.48 percent tips, which is not bad at all. actually

guys I really love this style now because it is very mature, it is very elegant and it is

very expensive. and if you have different amount of tips or different designs just

feel free to add them in the comments, it will be interesting to know how you

decorate your cafe in Oxford style.

What I learned after starting my YouTube Channel | My Journey! - Duration: 3:25.

The truth is, I had a very hard time finding my voice and my style.

I was lost in my career and in life and it shows in past videos.

There's a story within these creations about discovery, that I didn't quite notice until

now, when I'm in the present, looking back.

I was armed with a degree in Fashion Design,

determined to put my college education to good use by building my own fashion brand

and maybe helping others while I'm at it.

But I learned that I didn't love fashion design.

Four years and a few life changes later, weddings became my facincation because I was getting

married.

I wanted to create a channel sharing all of my new found knowledge and basically whatever

else I felt like sharing.

And then I still had this need to use my degree somehow, so created a series of dress transformations,

all the while embodying my perceived idea of the successful personality of a Youtuber

But then I learned that would rather not be on camera unless I really needed to and that

I can't sustain a booming enthusiastic personality all the time.

I learned that I was much more comfortable thinking my deep thoughts and being quiet

sometimes.

Most importantly, I learned that I had to go through all of these diverse stages, countless hours of creating and editing, in order to uncover my voice

I started to journal as a way to try to find my path, to calm my mind, and to ease my worries.

And although I had to transition myself, holding on to the maybe's and the old concepts,

I learned who I really was.

Stripping away any perceived standard of who I should be, and just

sharing my thoughts, drawing my stories, creating my world, documenting my journey as I continue

to learn and continue to grow.

So no matter where you are in life, remember, to create for the sake of creating.

Share your work proudly and then move on to create more and to be better than you were

yesterday.

Your downfalls, all of your mistakes, everything that you're not good at or can't ever

be, those are the things that make you, you.

Elisabeth Kubler-Ross once said: The most beautiful people we have known are those who

have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their

way out of those depths.

So find the courage to be brave as you navigate through the bad times, the ugly beginnings,

and seemingly never ending cycle of trial and error because the more you weed through,

the more you'll learn about yourself, your style, and your own unique voice.

Believe me, you have one.
