How to build a Smart Home for $250 USD - Start Your First Smart Home - Duration: 9:36.

Hello everyone. Thanks for tuning in again. I'm here today to show you how to

create a smart home for $250 USD. Now we're going to run through a number of

devices that normally people will want, and it'll give you all the functions

that you want in a smart home. So let's get going.

The first thing that I'm going to recommend you go out and get is a voice

assistant. Now there are about three or four on the market today that you can

look at, but ultimately the top of the line is the Google Home Mini. And the

reason I'm suggesting that is, number one it's a budget choice in general, you're

going to find this for $50 USD, and they're constantly on sale for $35 USD.

Or sometimes in pairs, and so Google will sell you one of these for that low price,

and what you get for that is an incredible amount of home automation

capability, controlling home automation devices, as well as access to all of the

information and services that Google provides as part of the Google Home Mini.

Some examples of those different services you can connect are, your calendar,

especially if you're an Android user and you have Gmail and the G calendar service.

You can go ahead, connect those up and get all that information, otherwise

you're going to need, if you're an iPhone user, to do a little bit of work but you

can still get your calendar read out by your Google Home Mini. On top of that,

you're going to be able to create things like alarms, timers on the fly, so you can

go ahead and you can ask your Google Home Mini to keep track of something for

you. Of course you can always ask from Google's vast storage of

information, you can ask about things like stocks, just general information, you

can ask where a place is and they can reach into Google Maps and give you all

of that. So for 50 dollars you get a ton of capability. Now once you have that

voice assistant, you're able to control smart home devices. You're going to need

a few smart home devices to go ahead and connect to that, and I'm going to

recommend what I think is first on everybody's list when they think of the

smart home, and it's one of the reasons I chose the logo for my company here, or my

YouTube channel, Automate Your Life. That is a light bulb and

we're going to go with the Philips Hue starter pack, and they're just the white

colored light bulb. This isn't the colored light bulb where you get sixteen

thousand colors. No we're just talking about giving you the ability to turn on

and off your lights at automated times, at different points in the day. These, for

example, you can set them at sunset or sunrise to turn on or turn off. You can

also do things like control them with the Google Home Mini that we talked

about at the start, and you can also set scenes for specific things that you're

doing. The other thing is if you are an iPhone owner, you can go ahead and

connect to Apple Homekit with Philips Hue and so you can control those lights

right from your phone. You can set the brightness, and you have just a ton of

control there. The Philips Hue starter pack is $64 in general. Sometimes you

will find it on sale, and thereafter you're going to have to purchase the

bulbs for about ten to fifteen dollars a piece, depending on the sale. But this

gives you two bulbs to start with and it lets you start to automate just a few

things. Next up are a couple of devices from Google once again. They're going to

interact with the Google Home application on your iPhone or your

Android. You already have that because you have a Google Home Mini. Now each of

these are approximately $35 USD. The first one is the Chromecast Audio and

the reason I'm suggesting Chromecast Audio is simply put, that almost everyone

has a Bluetooth speaker or a speaker in their home with a 3.5 millimeter input

into it. You can go ahead and put the Chromecast Audio into it and then stream

music to that speaker anytime using either the Google Home application, or

then you can use your Google Home Mini to actually cast your music, or control

your music over to that speaker. So this enables you to make a standard speaker

in your home a smart speaker. Now the other thing I'm recommending is the

Chromecast itself. I'm not going to tell you to go out and get the 4k

version, which is called the Chromecast ultra. I'm just suggesting you get the

standard version, and the reason for that is again you can use the Google Home app

and the Google Home to go ahead and cast your favorite shows over to your TV. So

it plugs in directly into an HDMI port on your TV and it makes any TV

essentially a smart TV. So if you're using the Netflix app on your

phone, on your iPad, on your Android tablet, you're going to have a cast

button, and you can instantly cast any show, control it from your phone, or

tablet, and send it to your TV through the Google Chromecast. So what the Google

Chromecast does essentially for you is make a Smart TV out of a standard TV as

long as it has an HDMI port. We have a few dollars left in our 250 dollar

budget. What I'm going to say to you is you could choose almost any of the smart

home plugs on the market today, and the reason I say that is most of them work

exactly the same way. Now for the purposes of this I'm

choosing the TP-link Wi-Fi smart plugs. They're normally $40 for two of them and

so you're able to then make a device in your home such as an AC unit, or a fan, or

you know a coffee maker, something to that effect, you could turn it into a

smart device simply by plugging that into your tp-link plug. And then

plugging that into the wall and then you could ask Google Home Mini to turn on and off that

device, or again you can control that from your phone.

TP-link has their own application. The last thing I'm going to suggest to you

is essentially a smart home camera, and when you look at the list of smart home

cameras out there, it's kind of like the who's who of home automation. We see Nest, Arlo,

and we see Logitech, a number of companies out there with

these very, very expensive smart home cameras. Now those are all well and good

if you want to go spend upwards of $300 on a camera, go

ahead, but what I've personally found is that the WyzeCam 2 and the WyzeCam

Pan, both of those cameras will do everything you could ever want, other

than a little bit of the facial recognition. I would say for most

people, they're not looking for that, and I would say for most people they're

not looking for that. They can go with just a simple smart home camera now WyzeCam 2's

are $20. This is a $20 USD for smart home 1080p capability, and it can

send you notifications for motion in your home, it can send you notifications

for when it hears sound from a smoke detector, or a carbon monoxide detector.

So there's a ton of functionality there, and the camera itself is really good

quality. Now the WyzeCam 2 does have a little bit of an issue versus some of

those other smart home cameras. It tends to detect motion based on light a little

bit, and so during a storm or something, you can end up with some notifications.

What this means is you have to manage when you want the notifications to show

up at, and/or not to show up, and so what I do personally, when I leave the house I

use a service called if this than that to turn on the notifications. So then I

know if someone's in my home, and then I turn them off when I return home. So that

video I'm going to stick up in the top right, right now, to show you how to do

that. If you want to go watch that now, it's a relatively simple process but

there you have it guys. That's actually a $245 USD smart

home and I'm saving you five dollars here. You probably have to use it on tax

anyways, but ultimately there you go, for two hundred and fifty dollars you can

get what I think most people are looking for in terms of a smart home, and there's

nothing there that is an incredibly difficult setup process.

So anyways everyone, if you have any questions, if you're

looking for any more details, go ahead, leave those in the comments below, happy

to get to you, happy to help out. Again thanks for watching and we'll see you next

time.

you

Disable Google Tracking Location Service | Heavy.com

Google still tracks you even if you have disabled "location history." That's according to a bombshell report that was published by the Associated Press on August 13.

The AP report says that Google still uses location tracking to aid their search returns and advertising.

Typically, users were under the impression that after they turned off their "location history" in the Maps app, Google would stop recording their location.

A disclaimer does warn, "Some location data may be saved as part of your activity on other Google services, like Search and Maps." Google was still recording your location through search.

The Google Account help page says that, "With Location History off, the places you go are no longer stored.

When you turn off Location History for your Google Account, it's off for all devices associated with that Google Account." The AP report says that's simply not true.

In order to prevent Google from tracking you, users need to turn off a setting named "Web & App Activity.

For iOS Users:.

Click here to go to your Google activity controls.

You will need to sign into your Google account to make the changes.

Turn the Web & App Activity option off.

Beneath that option, you will then see Location History, turn that off too.

On that Activity Controls page, users can also delete their recorded activity.

To delete your location history, users need to go to Google Maps timeline and click on the garbage can icon.

GoogleUsers should be prevented with this disclaimer prior to disabling the function.

For Android Users:.

Android users need to go to Settings, then to Google, then Google Account.

Go to Data and Personalization and then to Web & App Activity.

Turn Web & Activity off.

Then go back to Data and Personalization where you need to go to Location History and turn it off.

If you have multiple devices tied to your Google account, you need to turn off the history for each individual device.

To Do it Through Web Browser:.

While logged into your Google account, go to Google.com and click on your profile photo in the top right-hand corner and then on to the Google Account button.

Go to Personal Info & Privacy, then on to My Activity.

From there, click on Activity Controls and turn Web & App Activity off.

The Associated Press reports that around 2 billion people use Google's services on their phones, and in effect, have their locations tracked.

As we've covered in past videos, the swastika has had a troubled past in the world of video

games.

In particular, it is removed from German releases of games due to a certain German law and,

sometimes, across all regions entirely

However, did you know that the symbol has been removed from many other games completely

unrelated to World War II as well?

For example, in the original Japanese version of the Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, Goemon's

chain pipe attaches to blocks with this swastika-like emblem.

But upon the game's release in North America and Europe these blocks were changed to feature

stars instead.

Another example can be seen in the NES puzzler known as Fire 'n Ice in North America and

Solomon's Key 2 in Europe - where Round 4-3's puzzle layout was altered from the

original Japanese version's to look less like a swastika.

The International versions of Kid Dracula on the Gameboy similarly removed the swastika-like

symbols from the foreheads of the ghost bosses from the first stage too.

More recently, fans discovered the existence of swastika-like symbols in a stage of Sonic

Unleashed, which even existed in the International releases of the game.

This didn't last long though, as SEGA quickly patched the symbol out, turning them into

squares.

This phenomenon isn't exclusive to video games either.

For instance, the flag of the Whitebeard Pirates in the One Piece manga originally featured

a skull backed by a swastika-like symbol.

In spite of this, later chapters of the manga as well as the anime adaptation replaced this

symbol with a cross instead.

At this point some may begin to wonder why this symbol keeps appearing in Japanese media

so much?

Well, just as gestures can have wildly different meanings across the world, so too can symbols.

While many westerners today associate the swastika with the Nazi Party, fascism, anti-Semitism,

or hate, its history actually dates back thousands of years throughout many different cultures

across the globe.

In fact, the first recorded swastika in human history was found on a small ivory figurine

of a female bird excavated from a Paleolithic settlement in Ukraine.

The BBC reports, "On the torso of the bird is engraved an intricate meander pattern of

joined up swastikas.

It's the oldest identified swastika pattern in the world and has been radio carbon-dated

to an astonishing 15,000 years ago.

The bird was found with a number of phallic objects which supports the idea that the swastika

pattern was used as a fertility symbol."

In Japan in particular though, the swastika is known as the "manji" and is largely

connected with the symbol's sacred Buddhist history.

According to ReligionFacts.com,

"[The Buddhist swastika] signifies auspiciousness and good fortune as well as the Buddha's footprints

and the Buddha's heart.

The swastika is said to contain the whole mind of the Buddha and can often be found

imprinted on the chest, feet or palms of Buddha images.

It is also the first of the 65 auspicious symbols on the footprint of the Buddha.

The swastika has also often been used to mark the beginning of Buddhist texts.

In China and Japan, the Buddhist swastika was seen as a symbol of plurality, eternity,

abundance, prosperity and long life."

Furthermore, there actually exists two types of manji in Japan.

The left-facing manji represents love and mercy.

While, the right-facing manji represents strength and intelligence.

Today in Japan the manji is most commonly used as a map marker for Buddhist temples

as seen on this map of Kyoto here:

As well as these sign posts:

In some cases, such as at Tokyo's Sensō-ji temple, manjis can even be seen emblazoned

onto the temple itself too.

More recently, the manji has even become something of a slang among Japanese teenagers.

In fact, it was reported that in 2016 manji was voted the number one buzzword among Japanese

schoolgirls.

[11]

The manji's slang meaning can wildly vary between references to mischievousness, naughtiness,

as a pun on the Japanese word "maji," meaning "seriously" or "really," a

word to say while taking photos, much like saying "cheese," and more.

While this may seem peculiar to some viewers, it's interesting to note that swastikas

were once wildly popular over in the west as well.

In the 1870s, German archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann skyrocketed to international fame

when he discovered and excavated the site of ancient Troy, which had largely been considered

a myth up until that point.

However, that wasn't all that he found, as he also uncovered at least 1,800 variations

of swastikas laid into sculptures, potteries, and more throughout his excavations.

Schliemann's experiences with the symbol wouldn't end with Troy either as he would

go on to encounter more swastikas elsewhere, including Tibet, Paraguay, and the Gold Coast

of Africa.

As Schliemann's exploits grew more and more famous so too did the swastika, ultimately

becoming known as a symbol of good fortune in the western world throughout the late 19th

and early 20th centuries.

Graphic design writer, lecturer, and author of "The Swastika: Symbol Beyond Redemption?"

Steven Heller commented,

"Coca-Cola used [the swastika].

Carlsberg used it on their beer bottles.

The Boy Scouts adopted it and the Girls' Club of America called their magazine Swastika.

They would even send out swastika badges to their young readers as a prize for selling

copies of the magazine."

In addition, it served as the emblems of both the famous English author Rudyard Kipling,

best known for The Jungle Book, as well as the British National War Savings Committee

during World War I.

It was even used as the insignia of various military units, such as the United States'45th

Infantry Division up till 1939.

And it became an enormously popular pattern in architectural design of the time, as can

be seen on over 900 lampposts spread throughout Glendale, California to this very day.

Nevertheless, the swastika would be forever changed in the western world as it became

entangled into Nazism.

Anthropologist Gwendolyn Leick explained,

"When Heinrich Schliemann discovered swastika-like decorations on pottery fragments in all archaeological

levels at Troy, it was seen as evidence for a racial continuity and proof that the inhabitants

of the site had been Aryan all along.

…It allowed the projection of nationalist feelings and associations onto a universal

symbol, which hence served as a distinguishing boundary marker between non-Aryan, or rather

non-German, and German identity."

This led to the Nazi party formally adopting their own version of the swastika as their

symbol in 1920.This continues to plague the swastika nearly a century later with the symbol

still struggling to rid itself of its Nazi connection to this very day.

This can be seen most evidently through the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan's

aims to remove the manji temple markers from tourist maps to avoid potentially offending

visiting westerners leading up 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

However, these plans have stirred controversy among Japanese citizens as can be seen on

this popular tweet, which was translated by the BBC, stating,

"It's said some would mistake the manji for the Nazi symbol, but Buddhism has a much

longer history with this symbol.

So I strongly oppose changing our maps for some foreigners who are ignorant and extremely

stupid.

The idea is foolish."

The GSI's executive officer for national mapping, though, hopes that this change will

be helpful to foreign visitors.

Still, he acknowledges the controversy, saying, "Japanese users are divided in their opinions

on the new symbols.

Some say we should change symbols for Japanese-language maps at this opportunity, while others say

the traditional symbols should stay."

What do you think?

Should manjis be removed from Japanese tourist maps to avoid any miscommunication or should

they be retained to help illustrate the symbol's different meanings in other parts of the world?

And what do you think about the practice of removing manjis from Japanese video games

as well?

11-Year Old Successfully Hacked Replica Of Florida's Voting System And Changed Votes - Duration: 3:52.

Recently, at a yearly hacking convention called DEF CON 26, an 11 year old boy was able to

hack into a replica of the state of Florida's voting system, change vote totals in under

10 minutes.

An 11 year old boy was able to get into the system, change vote totals, even in some instances

change the names on the ballots, change the names of the political parties, basically

entirely change the outcome of an election.

And get in and get out, undetected, in under 10 minutes.

Now, here's the thing.

He wasn't the only kid at DEF CON 26 that was able to do that.

There was also an 11 year old girl who was able to do the exact same thing in under 15

minutes.

All told, there were 30 children, a little over 30 children, who attended this hacking

conference, that were able to do the same thing in other state replica voting systems

at the convention.

All within under 30 minutes, all of them completely undetected.

Now the reason that they did this, this was part of their voting machine hacking village,

'cause they wanted to show how unsecured our voting systems in this country actually are.

So they had these children come in and show that it's so easy that a middle schooler can

do it.

And yet at the same time, the party in charge of all branches of government right now, the

Republicans, refused to give us more money as a country to secure our voting machines.

You know, Democrats seem to think that right now the biggest problem is we're going to

have Russia interfere.

Guess what?

That's not the biggest problem.

Yeah, it would be a problem if they did, it would be a problem if any country did.

But we don't need another country to come in and hack when the child down the street

is able to do the exact same thing.

This isn't a Russia problem, it's not a Saudi Arabia problem, this is a problem with anyone

who knows how to hack.

That is why this has to be fixed, and that is why we need that extra money to secure

these voting machines.

Here's the dumbest part of the entire story.

We have known this for at least 14 years.

14 years.

We have seen hackers come in, on the media, sometimes Good Morning America would bring

them on to show us how unsecured our voting machines and our voting systems truly are.

They would do it like that.

Change vote totals, change candidate's names, rearrange things.

You know, triple the number of votes that a candidate got even though it far exceeded

the population of a certain area.

For 14 years at least, we have heard these stories, we have seen these stories, but only

now has the Democratic party jumped on board and said, "Okay, I guess now we need to secure

our elections because we're terrified of Russia."

You don't need to be terrified of them.

You need to be terrified of anybody that knows how to use a computer, because that's what

we're at here.

It's not that another country's trying to hack us.

Again, it could be the kid down the street.

It could be the angry man that lives next door.

It could be the unassuming neighbor that you have barbecues with.

Our system is so unsecured that anyone with very minimal knowledge could get in there

and absolutely destroy our democracy.

8 MANDELA EFFECTS that are Totally Radical in 2018 [PART 3] - Duration: 14:19.

Does it ever seem like your favorite old song lyrics are different today

than you once remember them?

What about statues you just swear don't look right?

Or places you didn't even know were there until recently?

We will now pose these questions and many more

on this 3rd edition of the Mandela Effect on the Edge of Wonder.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood,

a beautiful day in the neighborhood,

won't you be my, don't you be my-

Dude, Rob, hold on, you're singing-

Can I just take my shoes off?

No, you're singing it completely wrong though.

What are you talking about?

You're saying it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

that's the lyrics man

it's not

What?

it's a beautiful day in this neighborhood

no no no no no

yeah yeah

no one remembers it that way

I don't

no one remembers it that way

but when you listen to the song

it's a beautiful day in this neighborhood

that doesn't even sound good man

it's a beautiful day in this neighborhood

yeah I don't know either

and the weird thing is

it makes it sound like he's saying it's a beautiful day and my neighborhood kids

but not yours

like this neighborhood like not your neighborhood

yeah

I'm confused man

so basically this leads into our next episode on the Mandela effect

and the craziest one we found

was mr. Rogers the man the myth the legend

that Ben and I watched absolutely as we were growing up right

yeah well not the craziest one of the songs

well yes

there's a couple songs that we found that were just like weird

and this was probably one of the biggest ones

and actually there's tons of people on YouTube

singing this song as what you just sang

beautiful day in the neighborhood

yeah of course this like who-

and it doesn't even sound right

and actually when you type in "it's a beautiful day in" Google search

"the" comes up

of course it does because that's what people would be searching for

'cause that's what everybody remembers

right

so there's another crazy song

you remember this one right

yeah of course

okay

yeah everybody used to sing that in high school man

okay right because that so I have a really good friend Brianna

who I just contacted right before this episode

'cause she would sing this all the time and actually I learned this

I think we even played it once like I played guitar and she was singing it and everything

so is it who will save your soul

or who will save your souls that she sings

in the chorus, jewel

it's who will...

who will save your soul right

soul.

Right, soul. Okay,

so in the name of the song

it's who will save your soul not who save your souls right

yeah

dude she sings who will save your souls the whole song

but she's talking to a boy

I know

that song is to a guy isn't it? I mean, for the most part

okay the way that I remember this is

that she goes through the whole song singing soul

and like maybe the last one was like

she's singing to everyone now

and she's like who will save your souls

and that was what I kind of remember

whole song is who will save your souls

that's just bizarre

yeah, but the live version

she sings will save your soul

when I was watching the video on Google search it says

who will save your soul in lyrics so I I don't know

there's another one too that I found

are you gonna really do this one

oh no no no

I'm a Barbie girl?

Oh yeah

okay the only reason why I know this song so well is 'cause

I worked at this clothing store called gadzooks in the early 2000s

and we had we had like this

video player thing and VHS tape

so it always played like

and you watched Barbie girl all day long

sounds like a good gig

it was this repeat thing that we would hear over and over again with all different songs right

so does she say I'm a Barbie girl in a Barbie world or

does she say I'm a Barbie girl in the Barbie world

well Ben I can thankfully say that I don't really know this song as well as you

I'm jealous

but actually the way that I remember it is "the"

personally

really

yeah

Wow

I remember I-

that's probably because you didn't listen to it that much

I'm kind of either way on it but I actually remember her saying

I'm a Barbie girl in the Barbie world

that's me though

well in the live version she does say a

yeah

She says a Barbie girl in a Barbie world

probably proves your point

and Google again says "in a Barbie world"

So I'm one of those other people, I guess

I guess so. Okay,

this is a big one for me

This is kind of crazy

who doesn't remember like we are the champions

of the world, yeah

not when you listen to it, it's like we are the champions

and then it's like-

nothing.

But you remember

It was- it was in like so many movies though I mean that's like any sports movie

absolutely

but everyone's saying oh you guys are remembering the live version of the song

well and that could be true and it could be that

someone in one of these movies spliced in of the world

from one of the live shows at the end of the regular run

because they were trying to do something with the movie but

what do you guys think do you guys remember it this way or do you remember it just cutting off?

so you know the interesting thing about songs is that

that seems to be what people remember more than anything else

I mean people are going to be like, oh you guys are just mis-remembering these things but

songs is just like, you hear a couple songs and you you just you just know it you know

yeah, I mean you sing along you memorize the lyrics and then you keep that with you

let's go to Egypt

you guys remember King Tut's headdress

now did it have one snake at the top or

two different animals

I'm thinking about all the cartoons I've seen all the different things

I only remember one snake it was a serpent or something

yes it was it was a Cobra

Yeah right exactly

It was a cobra, with it's things open

now there's two creatures

not just a snake

now I didn't even know what the heck the second thing even was

I mean I've been in Egyptian culture for a long time right

I've been studying all this stuff for a long time, super fascinating

I've been looking at it too

I mean like I spend so much time at museums looking at this stuff

I was just like what the heck is even the second animal

I think I actually thought it was two snakes

it's not

it's a vulture

what

I didn't even remember vultures in Egyptian culture hardly at all

I have no idea with this one either this is like totally weird

like okay there's birds, there's the Ra

yeah, right but vultures? I never-

that's what I thought it was at first I was like well maybe it's the Ra thing

it's just a vulture

oh so random

so random

actually you know I ran some searches

I remember cuz we could only f-

you you were telling me you could only find two now right

right

and I ran some searches and I did indeed find some that only had one

right but it wasn't-

it was like for the most part it was two

but then I definitely found some that were only one

but it's like who makes the decision on when he's got one or two

yeah it-

why is it changing so much

it's so weird

I mean of course you know there could be cultural things I'm not an expert on it but yeah

so what do you guys think let us know in the comments if you remember one or two

so when it comes to the largest waterfalls in the world

there's a lot of debate on which is the biggest

and everyone knows Niagara Falls

there's Brazil's iguazu falls excuse me if I butchered that

or Angel Falls and it's in Venezuela

but do you guys know about the South African Victoria Falls

or the Mosi-oa-Tunya the smoke that thunders

yeah so here's the curious thing about Victoria Falls

is that it is one of the most stunning and largest in the world

yet some people have never heard of it

also missing in some top-ten lists of the best waterfalls in the world

okay so now the interesting thing

is that it isn't like every Mandela effect is necessarily bad or like doesn't make sense

it's just that this is just how some people know them to be

I'm always looking at like the most beautiful waterfalls in the world

because you know, being a photographer I'm just so fascinated by this thing

and when I came across this just a few days ago

'cause I was researching some of this stuff

it was like I was seeing something out of a dream

I'm like why didn't I ever hear this thing before, it's so beautiful

I have like no memory of it

my memory is only very vague

I- the only thing that makes me wonder about it is like

I did some research years ago on waterfalls

and I think I might have seen it on one of the lists

but it would be very strange for not every list to have this

because this waterfall is massive

yeah it seems to be one of the biggest I mean

it's like huge

could like split a country apart, it's huge

but what do you guys think do you remember it

comment below and let us know

also guys don't forget to hit like and subscribe and hit that notification bell

we can use all the support we can get

so there's a lot of a Mandela effects related to Oceania as a whole

to some they are very real and to some,

well we've found out that there are actually some that can be debunked

before we get into the real ones many people are freaking out

over the so-called globe image that is spinning in the mid-1993 movie dazed and confused

in which some are saying there was a landmass next to Australia

however when we started investigating this

we actually found out that this landmass is not actually a landmass

and it's just a legend or a key on the globe

so in this case it isn't an island that disappeared on our planet

but there is one that did disappear

a small island near New Caledonia called sandy island

the island was included on many maps and nautical charts from as early as the 19th century

there are old maps with the island on it

and even on Google Earth there seems to be traces of remnants

such as if you put in the exact coordinates of

19.2 degrees south and 159 point nine three degrees east

you get a perfect outline of the island

the island was reported about the size of Manhattan

that is wild

Maria Seton, a scientist at University of Australia

led an expedition to the area where the island is

they had multiple scientific data sets of the ocean in which clearly showed sandy island

however when they went there they only saw open water

according to the Washington Post she said

we had a cached version of Google Earth for the area

we had no internet and saw that the island was depicted as a big black blob

so some are saying that the ocean swallowed up the island

others are saying that it was just part of the reef

and some say that this is

a mandela effect

in any case the missing Island has regularly appeared in scientific publications since at least 2000

and appears on Yahoo maps as well as Bing Maps

so clearly something interesting is going on here

so continuing with Oceania here's a question for you all

do you remember New Zealand being and north of Australia

or south of Australia on either coast or whatever

now Rob and I both thought that it was north

and of course you guys could say oh yeah those dumb Americans they don't know anything right

however Eric our video editor

he's Australian and he also remembers it being north

oh yeah I actually remember this being the Northeast too

I remember it being north not south but I remember it being like Australia's here right

and it was up here

that's what I- in my notions right

and that's what Eric remembers too

it's so strange

so now it's the way down there

all right but what do you guys think do you guys remember it being north or south

definitely let us know in the comments

and I'm sure you will

okay so this one is weird but there seems to be some evidence to support it

how many states do you know there to be in the US

if you said 50 you're correct

if you said 52, well...

you probably write rap songs 'cause that's where that is in most places

they have 52 states in their rap songs

great example

well, that's true, they do have 52 states in their rap songs

but I mean it is true that a lot of people do remember 52 states

that's... weird

I kind of remember, I vaguely remember

52 territories I remember hearing, but never states

okay maybe you're right about the territories

if you make a couple more states you screw the entire flag up

yeah it's true

it's just perfect 50 states fits on there

okay so if you understand that about the flag

it's kind of like sorry Puerto Rico District of Columbia

you're not important enough to necessarily change the flag right

think about what that would do

well I mean that's what's kind of weird

some people do remember having 52 stars on the flag

H-how?

I mean I don't know you just-

I can't think of any arrangement that would look okay

but I mean again some people are saying well you guys are counting District of Columbia Puerto Rico

but it I mean I don't know some people are saying no it's not these two

cuz these are like you know not States

it was like two other states

but I think you're right about the territories

there's 52 territories and then there's 50 states

I think that's-

that's what I remember

not the best with geography I mean...

I- like as a kid we had to memorize the 50 song thing like

Alabama Alaska Arizona Arkansas California Connecticut

blah blah blah

you're gonna do the whole thing?

but anyway I remember the whole thing and I was like yeah there's only 50 states

there's not 52

right.

so basically careful what kind of rap you're listening to

so what do you guys think of our third Mandela effect video that we made for you guys

do you disagree or agree with the list that we came up with

let us know in the comments below

How Meghan Markle 'BROKE the mould' to create 'new brand' of a fairytale Royal Wedding - Duration: 4:01.

Daniel Martin, Meghan's wedding make up artist, said the Duchess broke the mould and inspired the younger generation to feel "accepted" for being different

He told People Magazine: "Meghan created this new brand of fairytale because everyone who has a similarity to her now feels accepted

"The former Suits actress married Prince Harry in St George's Chapel at Windsor on 19 May, in a lavish ceremony that captivated royal fans all over the world

Meghan and Harry's riveting wedding combined British traditions with a touch of modern culture, including a lively gospel choir and Bishop Michael Curry, who deliver a passionate sermon that made international headlines

Crowds gathered in Windsor to honour the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as they made their rounds in horse carriage across castle grounds, greeting jubilant royal fans

Mr Martin added: "You literally felt the energy and the happiness and the love."You could just hear the wave of cheers coming into the church

"Meghan's make up artist spoke of the moment he saw her walk into the room to get her make up done, saying that he could not contain his emotions

"And then she came walking in. It was almost like an eruption, because I was trying so hard to hold my tears in

"And then she walked in and she had this giant smile on her face. And then I just lost it

"Daniel Martin, along with other royal experts and friends of the Duke and Duchess are set to feature in The Story of the Royals, a People and ABC TV series airing on August 22 and 23

In the two-series special, insiders will reveal their favourite moments throughout the royal family's beginnings, as the documentary celebrates the history of the British monarchy

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to embark on their first joint tour of Australia later in October, to attend the fourth Invictus games in Sydney

The games, started by Prince Harry himself in 2014, are dedicated to raising awareness for wounded military personnel

Meghan and Harry are also expected to tour New Zealand, Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga as the pair aim to strengthen their relationship with the Commonwealth region, after the Duke became Commonwealth's youth ambassador in April this year

The royals will also be enjoying some private time at a multi-million dollar waterfront mansion in Sydney, which houses eight bedrooms and an infinity pool, spanning over 1500 square metres

The Duke and Duchess are expected to visit Meghan's close friends and former Suits co-stars Gabriel Macht and his wife Jacinda Barrett

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull previously welcomed the news of the Royal couple's visit to Australia, and stated Australians will be excited to greet them

He said: "The Duke of Sussex has become a champion for war veterans around the world, including in Australia

"His attendance, alongside the Duchess of Sussex, will be a wonderful highlight for the more than 500 competitors and thousands of spectators

137575900 - Replacing Your Frigidaire Dryer's Inner Door Glass AP5736228 PS8689138 - Duration: 6:58.

Hi my name is Bill and today I'm going to be showing you how to replace the inner door

glass on your dryer the reason why you might have to do this is because the glass is cracked

or damaged for this repair we'll be using a screwdriver with T 20 torx bit and a phillips

head screwdriver

WARNING before doing any repairs please disconnect your power source

so this is the dryer we're going to be using for this demonstration it's a Frigidaire keep

in mind you might have one that's not quote exactly the same as this but the same technique

should still apply so we're going to open up the door here and we need to remove our

dryer door so in order to do that we need to remove the two phillips head screw right

in here on the hinge

so now what we're going to do is just slightly lift up on the door and just wiggle it a little

bit it might be a little difficult to get the door hinge out but you should be able

to get it out this piece right here which fits nicely in that hole so now we need to

take the door apart and to get that apart we're going to take out the five screws around

the perimeter now that we have the screws out we can separate the two door halves so

now that we have the two halves apart you'll see we have this big piece of plastic right

here and to get that off we're also going to need to remove these screws here and you'll

see that once you have the screws out that that piece just dropped right out so now we're

going to carefully lift it up and hold the glass there in place so it doesn't fall out

so right here is our door glass and in order to get the glass out we have to take off the

brackets holding it in place so now I'm going to be using a VT20 torx bit and I'm going

to be loosening up these screws right here now switch sides so now I'll take out the

bracket here so now I'm going to loosen this bracket a little bit we don't have to take

this one out all the way we're just going to loosen it just enough so that we can get

the glass out we're going to take off the gasket here

now you grab your new OEM replacement inner door glass and if you don't have it already

you can find it on our online store so now we're going to take our glass and we're going

to put our gasket on our glass here and you'll see that there's just a little slot around

the gasket where the glass fits into it and we're just going to work that all the way

around and make sure that's on there nice and tight

and securely and now we're just going to lift up the other bracket here and make sure that

the glass sits in there secure like that and we're going to put this bracket on there so

we're going to get our screw and get it started from the other side not going to flip it over

just yet and then a couple turns and it should stay in place so now we'll tighten up the

screws here and then we'll bring the glass back up to secure it and now we'll turn this

back over and we're going to line up this piece right here with the screw hole there

and put the two halves together and then from this side we're just going to hold one side

up you get a screw started in there on that side so now we're going to do the same thing

in this side I'll push up on the inner ring from the other side and we're going to get

our screw started and once it's started a little bit secure it the rest of the way now

we can put the two halves of the door back together so we're just going to line up the

screw holes and once you have everything lined up you can screw it back together now that

I have the door put back together we'll put the hinge back on to the frame here and you're

just going to line up that square peg in the square slot drop it in and then you're going

to line up the screw hole and screw it back in and once you have that screwed back in

to place you can close your door and your repair is complete

Finally don't forget to plug in your appliance

if you need to replace any parts for your appliances you can find

an OEM replacement part on our website pcappliancerepair.com

Unboxing - BoosterPlug - Duration: 10:48.

Hi everyone

Here we are again for another unboxing.

This is an unboxing from our latest sponsor.

I have already took a look to it

And here it is, sponsoring us now, we have

BOOSTERPLUG

Who is BOOSTERPLUG????

BoosterPlug, is a company from Danmark, wich has developed this amazing device.

To our bikes

This device, is amazing and very usefull.

Let´s see what is in the box

First, we have the device itself

This device has a few components

The box were magic happens

Two connectors

And a sensor

A keychain

This one, i will probably offer on a giveaway

A reference to a mobile app, TOURSTART, and you can visit it at www.tourstart.org

Some install instructions

Also a convertion chart

Speed mesurements, pressure, etc...

It also brings a kind of balaclava. It can be used on the head, neck, pulse, etc.....

I am thinking about getting this also into the giveaway

It also brings a funny sticker of a boy pi**** on power commander

And nothing more

Let´s get this into the box again

And now, let´s talk about the BOOSTEPLUG

BOOSTEPLUG , works like this

You get the temperature sensor, but wait, it is not the temperature sensor from the bike, it´s the air temperature sensor we are working with.

You can locate it at the air box, on most bikes

Disconnect the sensor plug at the air box, and plug the boosterplug. Then connect the cable from ECU to the air box into the other plug.

The sensor, should be placed, the closest as possible into the air intake.

It works, making the ECU to think that the air temperature is colder than actually is, wich will make the ECU to add a bit more off fuel to the mixture.

This is excelente to those who got a racing air filter, like K&N, BMC, etc, which gets more air into the mixture, gettint a pour mix.

it is also great to those who got a slip-on or a full exhaust, and in both cases, have not made a repro to the ECU.

What can you win with BOOSTERPLUG???

First of all, acording to what they say, and what people that have installed it already, and even some that have taken their bikes to a Dyno, we get a better mixture, which makes the bike work better, and get´s the motor to live longer.

It also get´s to more advantages

On throttle in and out, you get a much smoother reaction. When you take the throttle off, you wont get that king of reaction like if a parasale had been opened.

It gets the motor to deacellerate must smoother.

When you throttle off, it reacts in a much linear and smooth way.

This is basically what the boosterplug does in a general way.

About the mixture

Having a better mixture, is not easy with a racing air filter like a K&N, or other, because you get too much air and low fuel. The boosterplug, gets the mixture to get better done, in the correct proportion.

"Hey....that will get my bike to get a higher consumption."

No. What it does is to get a bit more fuel when you throttle in, but then, when you stabillize the "throttleling" the ECU get´s the correct mixture, using the other bike sensors, like the CO2 sensor.

This is in a simple way, how boosterplug works.

This is a giveaway video

The keychain and the balaclava, will be offered

Let´s do it like this, instead of making this, a giveaway video, and since i´ll be installing the boosterplug

The giveaway will be done on the install video. All you have to do is to view it, and coment the video.

Just watch, coment and share

Please don´t forget to take a look at the BOOSTERPLUG website www.boosterplug.com

They now sponsor the channel

I will install it

I will review it

I will give my opinion, based on what i feel after the install, regarding what they say it does.

Throttle in and out smoothness

I have NOT the idea of getting more horse power with this device.

All i am expecting for is throttle in and out smoother, and a bit more linear

A better mix, but that, i have no means of being sure of it.

A better and more consistant iddle working

For those with aftermarket slip-on/full exhaust, a bit less puffing when reducing or motor braking

This points will be my base to state my opinion about the boosterplug.

Thanks for watching. PLease subscribe, like and share. CYAAAAAAAA
