You know, we talk a lot about money in politics and how it corrupts our politicians, it benefits

corporations, and it screws over American workers.

But there's actually another form of money that influences our politics on a daily basis

that few people talk about, but luckily OpenSecrets, based on research put together by the Sunlight

Foundation, they have created a new database.

They've actually taken it over from the Sunlight Foundation that tracks foreign money in the

United States and how that influences our elections.

And according to them, since the start of the year 2017, so we're talking what, 18,

19 months now, more than $500 million has been spent by foreign nationals and foreign

agents on lobbying and other activities to directly influence the United States government.

The grand total, I believe is a little more than ... It's $534 million since the start

of 2017 that foreign governments have been paying their lobbyist and their officials

to come over here, lobby the US government to enact policies that benefit that foreign

country.

Keep in mind, these are not any policies that are going to benefit Americans in any way.

If anything, given what some of these countries are asking for, it could put more American

lives at risk, be they military members or even private contractors going over to foreign

countries.

We get no benefit whatsoever from this money that foreign nationals are spending to influence

our government.

And here's the plot twist, do you know who the biggest spender is out of the last 18,

19 months?

The country that spent the most money lobbying the United States?

South Korea.

Number two was Japan.

Now four Middle Eastern countries including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates,

they also cracked the top 10, and we know exactly what they want the United States to

do.

But it is odd that the top two are South Korea and Japan.

Now we know what South Korea wants us to do.

They want us to bolster them with military should something happen with North Korea.

They do live in fear of what this madman that lives to the north could eventually do, what

he would do.

Talks between the two countries, between the three countries, between every country with

North Korea always sem to fall part no matter who was making that negotiation, so yeah.

They want the United States to be able to step in and flex our military muscle, put

our guys' lives at risk to protect them.

It's a noble cause, but at the same time, not necessarily one that the United States

really needs to be involved in.

We attempted that before and it didn't end well.

Nonetheless, these foreign governments that are sending their people over here to lobby

our government are doing it because they have a financial stake in the outcome.

They want the US to go over and protect them.

They want the US to enact trade deals that benefit that country.

They want the US to give up everything they can because it's gonna make those politicians

a lot of money.

It's gonna make the government a lot of money.

It's gonna make the other country a lot of money.

And in the end, as always, the only person who gets screwed out of anything is the average

American worker.

We were taking our time getting some good dinner, getting some ice cream as you see

now and then figuring out there are no flights in the morning that are leaving.

So we're gonna have to drive to San Francisco tonight which is a rookie mistake of being

last minute.

We'd have no idea that they were all sold out.

I've never seen that, actually.

- We found a flight, it is at 7 A.M.

- No, are you serious, on the same Tomorrow, the date?

- So I'm speaking to two classes around digital marketing that we do and so when I got the

opportunity I was like, "Heck yeah."

You know another person who's actually spoken at Stanford?

Steve Jobs.

So anyway, that's what we're doing and then we are gonna have some good dinner tonight.

And then we're heading home so it's just a one day trip.

It'll be fun.

- It's like, you have to be technical and then you also have to be sociable.

- Yeah

- Like that's a unicorn person.

It's like you gotta be curious and nerdy enough to care about this stuff and then have the

account management skills and that's a lot of agencies, they have a social person that

does the communication but then doesn't do the work.

- Have you ever though about that structure?

- I have and it sucks.

- Because you think at that point the person that's talking isn't in tune enough with the

account management.

- Yeah and I don't think, I think there's a level of enjoyment that an account manager

gets when they share the good news with a client and they do really well and they get

more motivation and they feel like they don't want to let them down and if you don't have

that connection then you can be like, egh, you know what I mean?

- I feel like it also could help eliminate false promises too.

I feel like if you're the social person that doesn't really understand what's going on

you're more likely to just say things that you can't actually do.

- Look at that shot.

It was really good.

Super smooth, people had a lot of questions and engagement but I was shocked at how few

people there were but it was a graduate class so it was the brightest of the brightest.

- Yeah I was so thrilled and honored and humbled to be asked to come speak at a class here.

I would do it again in a heartbeat.

It didn't take me long to prepare 'cause it's what we do everyday.

Yeah, just excited for these opportunities.

Yeah I was really impressed with the amount of questions that people had and just to figure

things out.

I'm really curious about how many things did they understand and how many things did they

let slide, because they didn't want to seem silly or not the smartest, but I hope they

get a lot of value from it.

The thing I would do different?

Get sleep the day before and figure out the travel situation ahead of time.

That would be the best thing.

- Yeah so I don't know what to say.

I'm really tired.

Dude I'm dead right now.

I normally have all the things to say and I'm just like lost right now.

But yeah I met,

with our contacts here.

It was a lot of fun, went over performance for last quarter.

There were a few things that were a little bit down we need to work on, but overall they're

pretty happy with their performance.

I think we came away with some good strategies for how we can actually generate them more

admitted people into their programs.

- Aw man I've been.

Three hours of sleep and.

It's like my apple watch batteries is on it's last legs right now.

It just hasn't progressed, hasn't gotten better.

Coffee doesn't work for me.

It's not a good look.

Tired, but I'm very happy with the outcome of the day and it was very succesful.

WP693995 - Replacing Your Maytag Dryer's Heating Assembly Screw - AP6010601, PS11743784 - Duration: 16:14.

Hi, my name is Bill and today I'm going to be showing you how to replace the heating

assembly screw in your dryer.

The reason why you'd have to do this is because the screw is lost or damaged.

For this repair, we will be using a 1/4 inch nut driver, a Phillip's head screwdriver,

and a pair of needle nose pliers.

Warning: Before doing any repairs, please disconnect your power source.

So, this is the dryer that we'll be using.

It's a Maytag Maxima X.

Keep in mind that yours might be a little bit different than what we've got here, but

the same techniques should still apply.

The first thing you want to do is make sure you turn your gas off.

So, what we have to do first is turn our dryer around.

Now we'll be removing two screws here, holding our top on.

And once you remove those two screws, you can pull back on the top panel, and then lift

up, and remove it.

So, here's our control board, and in order to get that out, we need to unplug all these

wires.

Keep in mind, some of these have little tabs that you just have to push on the sides to

release them.

So, now we're going to remove the bracket with the control board on it, so we have to

remove these two screws here.

Now, that those screws are out, you can just lift up o the bracket and remove this side

first, and we'll twist it, so we can get this anchor clip out.

Now that we've got that anchor clip out of the way, we can take out the whole bracket.

Now we're going to unplug these wires here that go to our dryer sensor, and we'll take

out the lint filter.

Now, we've two screws in here that we've got to undo.

So, you'll see right here that we've got a screw poking out of this hole where there's

a screw still screwed in, and right here is where we just unscrewed the other screw, and

so we'll go unscrew the one that's still screwed in.

Now I've got a block of wood here, so we'll lift up the dryer, now we'll slide that block

of wood underneath.

And, I've got four screws underneath that I have to undo.

Now, the two screws in the middle, you can just loosen those up a bit, you don't have

to completely take them out.

Now, we'll just slide the wood back out from underneath this, and gently set it down.

Now, we have to remove these three screws here.

Now, we'll open up the dryer door, and we'll take out the filter, and you can just set

that aside, and we'll be using a Phillip' s head, to remove these two screws here.

Now that you've got all the screws out, we'll just be able to lift up on the bulkhead a

little bit, and it'll come right off.

And, you're just going to want to make sure that if the wire gets caught in there, don't

pull it too hard, make sure you get it lined up with the hole, and just pull it out, just

like that.

Now, we're going to want to unplug these wires here that go to our dryness sensor.

Now, we've got two screws in here that we've got to undo.

So, you'll see right here that we've got a screw poking out of this hole where there's

a screw still screwed in, and right here is where we just unscrewed the other screw, and

so we'll go unscrew the one that's still screwed in.

The next thing we need to do is remove his screw right here.

And once we get this screw out, you can pull it straight up, and remove this entire filter

assembly piece.

Keep in mind, that if you didn't get the screws out when you were originally unscrewing them

from the inside, that they'll still be in these holes, so take care not to turn this

upside down and lose those screws.

Now, we're going to be removing this metal plate right here, but to get it off, I've

got two screws; one on either side.

And, once you've removed that second screw, that housing should come right off.

Next thing we need to do, is we need to remove this entire front part still, so we've got

a few screws up here, and the bunch of screws up here for this front bulkhead.

So, we're going to start up top first.

And, once you get those screws out, you can pop off this front panel right off, you just

want to lift up and it should come right out.

Now that we've got

those screws all out, you'll see there's a couple of tabs right here that stick out,

that the bulkhead rests on, so you should be able to lift it up and once they're over

those tabs, just kind of lift up on the drum as well, so you'll have the wheels on the

other side, see that get out.

So now, I have to reach in back here.

I have to get the drum belt off the pulley, we're going to have to push up on the lever

to release the tension and reach in with our other hand, and now we can just take that

right off.

And now with the belt off, I should be able to lift up on the drum, and I'll carefully

remove the whole piece and just be careful when you're taking this out, that you don't

get the drum belt caught on anything.

So, on this heating assembly right here, we've got quite a few different screws, all of these

are going to be the same screws though, you'll see here though, that we're missing one, so

grab your new OEM replacement screw, if you don't have one already, you find it on our

online store.

And I'll be using a 1/4 inch nut driver, just put it into the hole and screw it down tight,

there you go.

And, we're going to set it right on top of the back roller wheels, and just like that.

Now, to put the drum back on, we're going to take the belt and we're going to put it

onon the other side of the wheel here, just like this and we're going to lift it up, keeping

this all together and then loop the belt around the shaft here and make sure everything is

on straight, there we go.

And, then everything should be able to spin freely now, just like that.

A little bit more than a full rotation and you see that the drive belt is about where

it was before and you'll also see your fan wheel spinning down there.

So, now we need to put the front bulkhead back on.

In order to do that, lift up the drum a little bit, so we can get these roller wheels underneath

the drum, and in their proper positions.

And then, once you've got that in there, you can lock the bulkhead in place with those

little tabs and then we can screw

it all in.

Now, we'll put the top panel back on.

So, what I'm going to do is there's a tab right here and it has to go into this little

slot and that's going to be on both sides, so just line it up, slide it down in, same

thing on this side, just line it up, slide it down in there, and then we'll screw

it all in.

Now when we put this back on, we need to make sure that this slot right here goes into that

tab, and then everything else should line up nicely for you.

And now, we're going to put this lint filter assembly inside.

You're going to make sure that this cord goes out so we can plug it into there.

You're going to want to line up this assembly on the bottom, with that hole right there

that goes into the fan blower wheel area.

Now I want to plug these back in together.

Now I'll screw this middle screw back in here, okay now the other one, there we go.

Now, we're going to line up the sides of this bulkhead with the dryer.

Then, on the front, we're just going to put these clips into the hole that they correspond

with, just like that.

And now, we'll screw in the top three screws.

Now, put the lint filter back in, and we'll close the door.

Now, we'll plug these two wires back in together, and we're going to line up all the holes on

the bottom here, once the holes are lined up on the front, you're just going to want

to push forward, so that tabs lock into place and now we can screw it back down.

Now screws back here, just make sure you tighten up those little screws

real good.

Now, I'll be climbing in so I can do this screw next, okay, and now the other one.

Okay, there we go.

Now, I'll be putting the control panel back on, put this anchor back into place here,

push down, and that sticks, and we'll screw it down before we plug anything in.

And then, once we've got that back in, we can plug everything in, all the wires have

just one spot where they can go, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Now that we've got it all plugged in, we can put the top back on.

Now, if you take a look at one of the sides on the panel, it's got these slots, they go

all the way down.

Those slots correspond to each one of these tabs here, so when you put the top panel back

on, you're going to want to try to make those slots line up with the tabs, and as long as

everything lines up, the top panel will slide in there nice and easy, and your back hole

should line up nicely, so we can screw it back in.

And, once you've got that screwed in nice and tight, you can turn it back around, and

your repair is complete.

Now, we can turn our gas back on.

Finally, don't forget to plug in your appliance.

hello everyone and thanks for tuning into the financial investor channel my

name is Brent and today we're gonna go over my website some of the changes that

I've made for the better to revamp it also we're gonna be covering where I

want to move my website and channel here in the future and I'm looking for

feedback as far as suggestions for content on my YouTube channel on my

website and for applications you would like to see develop a sort of financial

related investment investment applications and if you ever were to

visit an investor's website what are some you know what's them information

would like to see on there as far as our portfolio or pictures as far as there

are trades or real estate you know you just let me know in the comment section

below what would you like to see from an investor's website so here we're going

to be discussing the changes before and after and where we're going to be going

to here in the future so if you are brand new to my channel I

do make stock market and investment videos weekly so consider subscribing

for future videos so right off the bat here this is my old website lots of

empty space here on the left and right I didn't like that I really wanted to

revamp it we just had a thousand subscribers not too long ago I really

wanted to do and update to my website to make it clean to make it easy for new

viewers visiting my website in order to move over check out my youtube channel

check out the content that I have provided on there and I didn't want them

to just hit the website not really know where to go or what to see and there's

kind of leave so here this is the old preview had the banner across the top my

menu of items here had to subscribe to my channel my blog search the site blog

hits an archive not a whole lot of information there towards the top very

blank as far as what you can do on there then it kind of this is sort of the path

that I wanted to go here in the future so why do I want to see my website move

towards well I want to create a step by step a three-step process so step one

get your mindset together know that there's always risk with what

you know whenever you're gonna begin investing but first you got to know

where you stand what are your financials look like

what's your gross income your net income your expenses

what's your net income minus your expenses how much money you actually

have to invest that's sort of the whole step one process step two look up

different investment vehicles I have a book here my Rich Dad Poor Dad it's

called the guide to investing it's got dozens upon dozens of investment

vehicles out there maybe stock market or real estate is not for you right now but

maybe you can invest in some other means of getting your capital built up and

then you can begin investing in some real estate so maybe start small with

stock market investing depending on what broker you want to get into you know

just picking your investment vehicle step to learning and reading about what

all your options are that are out there step three is taking action whatever

investment vehicle you want to do if it's stock market go out there first

step is of course picking your broker what do you want from a broker do you

want free trades do you want access to retirement accounts do you want dividend

reinvestment programs you want you know growth or dividend stocks you want

research tools you know all sorts of there's so many brokers out there they

all offer a variety of things I have my three preferred platforms here depending

on what you're looking for we have the two free brokers free trades one doesn't

offer retirement accounts one offers retirement accounts this one's a little

bit higher up you can get free trades but it does take that $50,000 capital

and then you start to get a bunch of research tools free trades free trip but

not partial shares so these this one offers partial this one is you know and

so on so I would be discussing quite a bit of

that kind of breaking it down and then I want to provide more content so that

when you visit the website you can say hey I'm already an investor start here

I'm brand new to investing start here so start here would be getting your mindset

learned about your financials saving money the whole mentality thing there's

always risk step two is hey you've already invested

a little bit okay let's take a look at where you've been investing in and so on

so right now my website was very scattered

kind of everywhere so I recently took a look at it and kind of changed it so I'm

not having this whole empty space over here so let's go ahead and flip over to

my new website here this is the financial investors website so right off

the bat what what it's here why did I create the financial investor channel

and you know website well the whole point was to track my journey as an

independent financial investor while also providing content on financial news

talking about I arrays 401k stocks dividends real estate and more that's

sort of my thing you know I've been investing since I was I think seven I

had savings bonds paper bonds that my grandparents had got me that got me that

itch and then I said hey I want to save my money buy some more bonds ended up

with 42 paper bonds I just cashed them out this year in order to kind of fun my

business for my real estate investments and I've done stock market for the last

ten plus years you know I invested in my thrift savings plan my 401 KS my regular

individual counts my Roth IRAs I've done quite a bit for quite a bit of different

platforms there now I've always had that you want to get into real estate but you

know going into the military I was what right out of high school and then during

my military career I was married I now have a kid so house hacking where I'm

living in a duplex or triplex with you know that whole thing is kind of out of

the picture because my wife does course doesn't want to live with somebody else

you know the same complex so we had to build upper capital a little bit and now

we can begin investing here buying up real estate and that whole journey here

ahead of us so that was the whole point of creating the financial investor just

to kind of share my journey through the stock market through real estate and

through other financial or investment vehicles so anyways as you hit my

website here you see that this is kind of like a banner here new really is

simple divot in calculator and I'm also a developer I develop applications on

the Google Google Play Store so here if you were to land on my website you could

download click on the link it would send you right over you'll be able to

download this put it on your your Android check it out it's basically a

little quick calculator shows you punching your

principal stock price annualized payout it'll tell you how many shares you'll

have what dividends you have earned and what your new principal would be if you

had invested that money back in you know the dividends back into the company or

yeah the company if you had invested over so many years and if you made

additions either weekly monthly and so on so I made the application if you guys

have any other suggestions for applications I made that one here in

about a week or two and release it I really need to do some updates as far as

the interface goes to make it nice and clean right now I just kind of have it

creating I want to go ahead and continue creating at least 5 different financial

applications so I want to make a real estate one I want to make

one for my kid or just kids in general kind of teach them about how to double

your money I've created a simple concept that my three-year-old you know he was

able to start with one penny and double up all the way up to ten pennies and he

enjoyed the whole or the I don't know what you would call it but the task of

it all you know just kind of learning and some of my latest posts I really got

to create some more post I used to write up posts every single week talking about

socks with activities next week you would click on one of these it would

just talk about it would provide a lot of visual content I would also provide

my end of the month part of folio changes I would talk about some

high-yield savings account this is a link to like a a video I made a couple

other articles here but some of the other one you know some of the content

that I posted it here in the past was very visual talking about stock picks

graphs how they have done as far as financials over so many years their

current information as of when I had wrote up this article and why you know

where I believe they currently sat so some of these look like there were

undervalued due to their yield of a price they were under 60% payout ratio

which is a good payout ratio there had dividend growth for 42 plus years very

low price to book value and a couple other statistics here so I wrote up a

couple articles there even had some comments here on the bottom and here

talking about my stock portfolio so every month I would post this here

instead of making my videos I think I still made my videos but here talk about

how much capital I had invested where I had the money invested here by positions

as of the one month performance my buying stock performance I haven't done

these in quite a while and my portfolio wives as far as the stock market goes is

it anywhere near where it used to be I used to have 80,000 invested here

between what looks like my IRA Roth IRA and my individual count now I only have

I think I have around 25,000 split between my Roth IRA my IRA and my wife's

Roth IRA so not too much there as far as total cap

and now I've used the equities that I've had in savings and my portfolios are

kind of fun my business to buy real estate which I'm in contract with right

now I'll have an inspection next Thursday and I'll be visiting on

Saturday kind of going over the inspection and doing the walkthrough and

then I'll take control of it I believe that following week so yep and that is

III think I could count with one hand many the testimonies that I've heard

from our congregation in the last almost three years that I have taken the the

calling of God and within that five there's one person that has given two

testimonies and then within that five visitors but the members remembers I

I've requested you know sometimes really direct hey can you give it this time I

know I start walking away started walking the other direction

why I mean you get your strength from God are you pleasing men are you

pleasing God who are you pleasing who are you pleasing God's designed for us

God's designed for us his chosen people is to glorify Him with our lives with

our lives and to share that to people if you think otherwise please talk to me

later I really want to do it face to face case don't send me an email if and

when we worry more about men and what people have to say you have to know that

you are not pleasing God and you are not functioning or you're not responding to

how God has called you look 9 26 if anyone is ashamed of me and my message

the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory in

the glory of the Father and the Holy Angels God knows what we say and what we

choose not to say he knows the intention of our hearts if we choose ourselves in

our reputation reputation of of glorifying him then we are not

pleasing him please turn your Bibles to Romans 14:12 I don't have it in the

slide so you might want to see it this is what I said earlier and I want you to

mark it because this is something we really need to consider Church Romans

14:12 it reads yes each of us will give a personal account to God everything

done and not done everything done in public everything done in secret we will

be taking it it will be asked it will be accounted for instead of thinking of

what people have to say we should think of what our Lord has to say do we agree

ok that's better we do we do agree to it we do agree to it so we have to ask

ourselves who are we pleasing with our lives Paul knew who he wanted to please

Paul knew and lived his life for the Lord he could care less what people

thought of him he could care less of what people will say he could care less

about anything but God what God has to say about him and what he has done and

again but you know Paul said if I'm gonna drink or eat something that will

cost someone a stumble I'd rather not eat or drink but because his pic his

mind he has it on the big picture the big picture he wants to bring people to

Christ through his life and it should be the same with us it should be the same

with us every situation every certain situation God knows if you are pleasing

yourself if you're pleasing men you're choosing them Oh

for him God knows it god knows it let's not let's stop pretending okay let's

stop pretending I'm using the word pretending pretending is this pretending

in the fact that you are someone else in front of your unbelieving friends

because you want to keep that relationship with them you know want

people to know that you're a believer because you're worried more about what

they have to say so you're pretending to be someone else because you're already a

new creation in Christ do we agree he was in Christ is a new creation the old

has gone the new has come so when you choose to please men it hinders your

witness it hinders your witness and you don't

grow in there in your relationship with the Lord you stay as a bonsai Christian

cute to have but no use at all it's nice to put on the table water it every week

two minutes keep it in a small pot doesn't bother anybody it's a tree but

it's a bonsai tree for you if you're a believer and you haven't moved forward

with God because of your disobedience disobedience for tonight's topic for the

sake of tonight's topic is your choosing to please men over God then there you go

so don't ask don't wonder anymore oh why am I not growing well you have the

answer because you choose not to you're choosing not to because you are you're

making your life more about pleasing men rather than pleasing God a very

encouraging message amen amen let's look at our our brothers

who've done it let's look at some of our brothers who have done it Paul Peter and

John they got it in acts 4:18 then they called them in again this the you know

the sadducees cause Peter and John and commanded them not to speak or teach at

all in the name of Jesus but Peter and John replied which is right in God's

eyes to listen to you or to him you be the judges believer is here in this room

tonight you be the judge who you should who do you shoot if I

still don't have it who should you be pleasing is it God or men who is your

Lord is it Jesus or is it you again and again and then you get into trouble and

you say where is the Lord where was the Lord in the first place

when you made that bad decision when you knew was cut and clear God said don't do

that

first commandment you shouldn't have no other gods before me first come and

write anything that comes and you should have no idols as a second commandment an

idol is anything that comes before God if you are pleasing men more than you're

pleasing God then you are making their thing their opinion matter more than God

this is them this is God you have a small God and men are bigger in your

life whether it's your parent whether it's your children where there's your

career this is your God then this is them that's an idol so tonight I pray

that as we go through it the next one first Thessalonians 2:4 Paul saying on

the contrary we speak as those approved by God to be

entrusted with the gospel we are not trying to please people but God who

tests our hearts

despite the danger to their lives Paul Peter and John could care less because

they knew that they should be pleasing God

there's no flinching for them if you're a real believer I guess we have to use

that word real now because there's a lot of believers that just call themselves a

believer but do not show it in their lives with their lives so if you're a

real believer there should be no flinching you know I like I hated that

game when I was younger because I always flinch no because I'm always I'm afraid

to get hit so I'm always doing this and they start laughing I you flinch well of

course I thought you were gonna hit me right but for believers we know Jesus

said in if this world hated me it will hate you correct and then jesus said

that in this world you will have trouble but behold I have overcome the world

shouldn't be no flinching we should be ready and as we see it here on the

contrary we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel

every believer is entrusted with the gospel every believer because you are

God's message through your life people see Jesus you could be the only Bible

people can read or will read you could be the last person before God takes that

other person that you're working with before he takes his life you could be

the last person that could have been the conduit or the vessel to deliver that

message of hope

you'll be pleased to know that this is probably gonna be a quick message

tonight when you see here the next verse there was a lot of grumbling about him

bejesus among the crowd some argued he's a good man but others said he's nothing

but a fraud who deceives the people but no one had the courage to speak

favorably about him in public for they were afraid of getting in trouble with

the Jewish leaders who's in that isn't that a big injustice to Jesus don't you

agree though many people that followed him

there many people that fed you know they probably had that that you know the five

heart the multiplication of food they were there they enjoyed the meal but

didn't want to tell anybody about it because they were afraid of the Jewish

leaders you know they probably saw Jesus walk on water but they don't want to say

anything about it cuz they don't wanna be they were afraid of the Jewish

leaders what discouragement they saw Jesus when

he he he resurrected Lazarus they heard about they saw they were probably there

but no they don't want to say because they were afraid they were they wanted

to please the Jewish leaders more isn't that a big injustice to Jesus don't you

agree it is to say Amen it is right it is

because you know what's coming right that's why you didn't wanna say Amen

because I'm gonna go back and bring the question to you so how is that about you

now - for you not if you are not and if you are I praise God for you I praise

God for you because you know what your time what doesn't no no not diamond

doesn't there's only one you're lacking of people like you but if you're like

the other believers that are afraid of the Jewish leaders I don't know what

your Jewish leader is at your life would your life at your work or whatever in

your in that you're more concerned about what people have to say

then what God has to say I prayed it tonight as the Holy Spirit convicts you

you will turn you will forget about what people have to say but worry more about

what God has to say about you of how you live your life how you let go

of everything for God just like the Apostles did another one in John 12 many

people did believe it in Jesus however including some of the Jewish leaders but

they wouldn't admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from from the

synagogue they don't want to lose their church membership or their Country Club

membership they were worried more about what people have to say they were

worried more of what people have to say than what God had to say about them

isn't that the saddest thing for they love human praise more than the praise

of God another trap for us we are loving the

the applause of men were so seduced to the spotlight we want to hear good job

Joe I laugh you know why because those same

people that would say good job to me the minute the minute I say something

that they don't like I hate

is that the truth that's why when they spray sore blame I don't take it it's

like what Paul said this is a trap another trap for people that if we're

trying to please men over God that we want their approval over God's approval

there's no growth there's no more growth you hinder you witness you stop your

growth or you don't grow at all because you're more worried about men and God so

now there should be like I should give you at least a solution right I don't

know if I could give you a solution but I can give you God's Word to hopefully

encourage you because the question is how how do we not look for people's

approval above our Lord how because that's how we've been that's how we were

trained right we our parents tell us you do what I tell you or else and then you

go to school and you have to do what the teachers tell you and then you go to

work and you have to do what the boss is tell you and you're always going for

their approval always going for men's approval that's how you're designed

that's how you were programmed so now how Joe this is how I function I need

approval well first of all we didn't first of all what tonight we're just

gonna talk about the one thing is we need to renew our minds we need to renew

our minds we need to renew our minds we need to start thinking how God wants us

to think we need to seek him first his kingdom and his righteousness we need to

set our minds Romans 12:2 don't be like the people of this world because the

people of this world always look for people's approval other people's

approval they want all the awards they want the recognition they want it they

want it all they want people's pat on the back they want Fame you want wealth

because they want people to say man there goes a great guy

and as they're walking they want people clapping standing ovations let's go

let's go Joe that's what they live for people's clamor so we need to don't be

like the people of this world but let God change the way you think who changes

your thinking God you have to let him because he's not gonna force you you're

gonna have to let him this is in this Christian life there's this thing that

we call free will and if you're like me how I I pray to God to take my free will

away you know I because I have a tendency to make the stupid decision of

not following God's will but now we have the free will so we need to let God

change the way we think then once you let God change the way you think and how

is that how do we change the way we think when we're sitting a church and

learning about His Word and most especially when you do the Bible study

your Bible you read your word amen and it's like oh man he's talking about

reading the Bible again well of course this is God's inspired Word you're

watching movies you're watching TV you're talking about work you're doing

Facebook or whatever social media that you have and all this information you're

being flooded with it is going in here whether you like it or not you go see

your conscious into your subconscious mind guess what's gonna happen you're

gonna function and whatever you feed your mind that's how you're gonna

function I loved before I was a Christian I love watching mafia movies

that was my diet I watched Godfather one two three forty five all that

and guess what I wanted to be in life I want to be a gangster other than to be

an Italian girl laughs kidding because women have more advantage and then if

you're Italian you got it made that was before okay
