Good day viewers and welcome. Thanks for tuning in. And welcome back to a full review on the
TV box stop channel. Today I have a full review of a great looking compact TV box. It measures
just 10cm in size, and comes with some good hardware specs, running on the latest Android
8.1 operating system. This box, is the Scishion A I one. Rockchip Android 4K TV box. Coming
up next is a full review of it's hardware and features, with performance benchmarks
and live demonstrations. so stay tuned. You have more after this.

So we're back, and thanks for staying with us. This is the box that the AI one comes
in. It's a plain generic cardboard box with no major branding with the exception of a
small tag here on the side that says that the model is the Scishion AI one, with 32GB
of RAM running on a quad core CPU. And that's all there is. So I will do a quick unboxing
and give you some more specs on the box.
From the product description. It says that the Scishion AI one runs on the Rockchip RK3328,
cortex A53 quad core CPU, with a maximum clock speed of 1.5GHz.
The display, is powered by the ARM Mali 4 50 MP2 dual core GPU. It comes with 4GB of
DDR3 RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. It has single band 2.4GHz WiFi, and Bluetooth
4 point zero. It has 5.1 surround sound output on a 64bit instruction set.
In the box. You get the Scishion AI one TV box itself.
You get this wireless voice search remote control, which I will be testing later on.
You get 1 HDMI cable. A 5 volts 2 amps universal DC power adapter.
And a user's manual.
Let's take a look at what ports we have on this box.
If I turn to the back. Here you can see we have 1 HDMI port. 1 audio video port. You
have your standard RJ45 LAN port. An SPDIF optical audio port. And a DC power input jack.
To the side. You have 2 USB 2 point zero ports, and 1 USB
3 point zero. To the other side.
You have an SD card slot and a reset button. To the front.
You have an LED clock display. And to the bottom.
You have lots of ventilation holes. So I will now set this up on my TV and continue
with the rest of my review.
So I have successfully connected the box to my TV. And as you start up the box for the
first time, what you would see is this short Android startup animation for a couple of
seconds. Then you're taken directly to the launcher.
The design and layout of the launcher is attractive and simple. With horizontal bars that responds
great to the wireless remote. This launcher does not come with a navigation bar or status
bar for multitasking, which comes in quite handy when navigating with an air mouse or
mini touchpad keyboard. If you open the settings area and navigate to the about tab. Here you
can see the version of Android is 8 point 1 point zero, which is the latest Android
8 Oreo version at this time.
Staying on the launcher. One thing I noticed, is that you cannot change
the launcher. Nova launcher installs on the box but it doesn't open up when launched.
Another thing I noticed, is that under the new Android Oreo operating system, you have
this feature where you can hold the OK button on the remote to move shortcuts to arrange
them better. And it also gives you the option to uninstall an app.
At this time, I would usually head over to the apps section, But what I discovered, is
that there is no dedicated apps section. Every app you install will be displayed on the apps
horizontal bar on the launcher. And what you see here is all the apps you get pre installed
on the box. You get Netflix. RKMC. YouTube. And a couple other standard apps like Google
play store and chrome browser.
So I went ahead and installed some apps of my own, for system information and benchmark
scores. First, I'll check to see if the box is rooted. It shows that the box is not rooted,
running on Android 8.1.0 Oreo operating system. This is not much of a problem, unless you
intend on using apps that require root access. But hey. These boxes are programmed mainly
for streaming movies and TV shows.
The DRM information shows that the Scishion AI one has Google wide vine Level 3 support,
which limits Netflix to only playing in standard 4 20p quality.
Let's now take a look at some system and hardware information.
It shows that the manufacturer is Rockchip, and the model is the AI one. Below it shows
that the box comes with 4GB of RAM and the remainder of the 32GB of internal storage
after the Android installation and apps installed on the box.
The CPU is the Rockchip RK3328 quadcore processor, running up to 1.3GHz. Below it also shows
that the box has support for both 32 and 64bit ABIs, which allows the box to run both 32
and 64bit applications.
The GPU is the ARM Mali 450 graphics processor, with a refresh rate of 60hz.
Under Network, it shows that the box has single band 2.4GHz WiFi support, and you can also
see the signal strength link speed and the frequency.
The operating system is Android 8.1.0 Oreo, and it also shows that the box is rooted.
Under thermal information, it shows that the box runs between 50 to 70° Celsius under
normal room temperature, and this can rise up to 75° under heavy activity. If you apply
a passive cooling fan it ranges between 45 and 60°.
The box comes with codecs for playing 4K videos like H 2 64, HEVC, and VP9 decoding, and a
couple of others all needed for the playback of HD media.
And that's it for system and hardware information, and I'll now move on to the benchmarks.
I will start with the results of the memory read and write speeds.
The Scishion AI one, has a RAM copy speed of 3198 MB/s. And the internal storage has
a reed speed of 97 MB/s and a write speed of 86. These scores are really good, and consistent
with other RK3328 boxes.
And now I show the results of the WiFi speed test.
And the results show that this box has really good WiFi reception on it's single 2.4GHz
band. It hit the maximum of my Internet package with every try. It even outperformed the Ethernet
LAN port.
This is the results of the Antutu benchmark. I'm using version 6, because version 7 didn't
run properly on this box. The AI one got an Antutu score of 38056. This score is also
pretty OK for this box.
In the Geekbench 4 CPU benchmark results, the box got a score of 610 single core, and
1640 multicore
For the final benchmark, I have the results of the Ice storm extreme GPU benchmark, part
of the 3D mark gamer's bench series of GPU tests. The AI one got a score of 2219.
That's it for the benchmarks. I will now run some 4K video samples to test the box's 4K
playback capabilities.
Please note. I am playing these samples all 4K videos of very high quality at 10bit 60
frames per second from a USB 3.0 flash drive, via the USB 3.0 port on the box. Watch carefully
and be amazed at how this box handles
the playback.
Like I said. The 4K playback capability of this box is outstanding, and playing them
off of an external flash drive is a great achievement. I even ran the ever popular jellyfish
video at 400Mbps, and it played it with ease. If only based on its 4K capability I had to
recommend this box, I would definitely recommend it.
While on the topic of 4K quality. I will play a 4K YouTube video sample to see what's the
highest resolution we can get.
Wow! this box plays 4K YouTube videos in such vivid colors, its breathtaking.
Great 4K video quality is supposed to be accompanied by good 3D graphics rendering. So to put this
to the test, I will play a racing game called GT racing 2, to test the box's graphics rendering
ability. This game uses lots of system resources and is ideal for this test.
I am really pleased by the smooth handling and high graphics quality of this box. However,
if you intend on playing lots of games on this box, I recommend you use a cooling pad
to maintain a safe operating temperature.
Before I conclude this review. What is a TV box if you cannot watch movies and TV shows
from the comfort of your living room. The Scishion AI one, is a great TV box to deliver
movie streaming entertainment for the whole family. Number one in the paid movie streaming
industry is Netflix. However, due to the lack of DRM Google wide vine level 1 support, the
AI one is unable to show Netflix in 10 80p and 4K quality.
You can still watch Netflix in standard 720p quality on a basic plan, but that's not your
only option. If you are familiar with the movie streaming industry, there are lots of
ways you can watch free movies and TV shows in HD quality and in 4K. Simply browse the
web to download and install apps like Terrarium TV. Showbox. Stremio, Mega Box HD, and Mobdro,
just to name a few. You also have the option to install premium IPTV services that deliver
hundreds of live popular cable channels from around the world.
In the past, the number one source for free movies and TV shows was via third party addons
on the Kodi open source media platform. However, in recent times, third party addon developers
have not been consistent, And some of them have now opt-in to provide dear movie streams
on standalone platforms via APK downloads. The Scishion AI one comes with its own version
of Kodi called RKMC. However, for the protection
of this channel, I will not be playing any movie samples in this review.
So in summary. I really enjoyed my experience with the Scishion AI one. The selling point
for me on this box is its 4K playback capability. It has a bright vivid display. It plays YouTube
in 4K. Great 3D gaming, and even though I didn't stream any movies in this review, rest
assured the streaming was great.
On the flip side. It tends to get hot during game play. It doesn't have the right Google
wide vine DRM support to allow Netflix to show in HD and 4K quality. And the box is
not rooted.
So I've come to the end of my review of the Scishion AI one 4K Android TV box. If you
are interested in this device, a link was placed in the description area where you can
get it at an unbeatable price. Thanks for watching, remember to like this
video if you found it informative, share it with friends, and subscribe to this channel
