I was born in Germany and despite the amazing culture that comes with the country, there

can be some cons.

My family moved to America when I was 2 years old, and my Mom was absolutely thrilled about

it because you see she is a book nerd and she read all of these books about all of these

people and places in America.

And she wanted to visit every state.

But we settled and Atlanta Georgia and we thought that was good enough for us.

And she was even more excited when my little brother was born when I was four because we

finally had a complete family and a place where we want to spend the rest of our lives.

I think it was in fourth grade when racism really started to hit our school.

I was in a Christian private school and I was actually quite surprised because the creator

created everyone equal in this was a Christian school.

And I just so shocked that people would be racist.

Racism is probably one of the worst things that is in our modern world today.

I wasn't bullied because of my skin color or culture.

No, I was bullied because people thought I was racist.

I am German as I mentioned before and Germany does not exactly have the best past on equality.

People thought I was friends with the people from the bad past of Germany or something.

And I was so shocked because I never even heard of those things.

I went home one day and I asked my family who these bad people were in German that I

didn't not know about.

You see I was born in a future Germany, a Germany that believed in equality. A Germany with

amazing people and places to visit. Not this past Germany that everyone was mentioning to me

The not-so-nice Germany. That's what people saw in me, They thought I was one of those Germans

And that was really hurtful to me.

One day my Dad asked me what was going on at school, why I kept asking him who these

bad Germans were and why I was suddenly so interested in the past or as I said earlier

not so nice Germany.

So I told him the truth how everyone was teasing me for being racist even though I wasn't.

My dad's was kind of shocked because he didn't really think that just because I was German

people think I was racist.

So that weekend, we went to the Principal's office when none of the students were there.

And we told her what was going on and the crazy part...she actually set up a whole

assembly about equality and that no one should be judged for anything.

You have to get to know someone.

And that assembly brought me to tears because she basically took the words out of my mouth.

And today, I actually have lots of friends that are mix of cultures and yes I still get teased

for being German but that's okay because I know who I am and I am not racist.

Amazon Alexa New Features and New Products for August 21, 2018 - Duration: 7:41.

Hello everyone. Thanks for tuning in again. It's time to get started with

another Amazon Alexa and Amazon Echo new features, new updates, and new products

video. Now of course you've already heard that wake word once. I am going to

use it throughout the video, so hopefully that's not going to bug you too much. Let's

get going. If you own an Echo device or you own an Alexa enabled device, pretty

sure that you've already heard this, but in case you haven't, Alexa and Cortana

have been partnered and actually pushed together here in a partnership between

Microsoft and Amazon. And you know we heard about this a long time ago, but

ultimately it took some time to get these two devices integrated. What's

happened as a result is essentially you can call each voice assistant and

request the other, so you're going to have to ask Cortana for Alexa, and Alexa

for Cortana right now. But we will see over time, and this is the promise from

both companies, the integration get deeper and deeper. Now right away what

we've seen is a device that initially had Cortana on it. It's called the

Johnson Controls GLAS thermostat. It's about a $319 USD thermostat.

That device instantly has Alexa on board, you can call up Alexa, but it will not be

instantly there for you, so the way you have to do this is ask Cortana to get Alexa.

And then you may use Alexa. Something we've seen from Amazon is a very, very

aggressive stance in terms of getting an Amazon Echo an Echo Dot, any of their

devices, into as many places as they can. Now one of the things that they've done

is they've managed to get a couple of universities on board. It's a St. Louis

University here has actually gone out and purchased 2300 Amazon Echo Dots with

Alexa on board. And all of those will be put

into the student living quarters basically, so this means every student

that is living on campus will have access to Alexa through their Echo Dot

at all times. Another big update to give you and i'm

surprised at how much big news is coming out from amazon all at once here just

this last week. But Amazon is now heading into Mexico with the Echo series of

products and Alexa with the capability of speaking Spanish. So this is coming

out right away, they're saying basically later this year and there's not a lot of

year left, so i think we're going to see Amazon enter Mexico, enter that market

with a Spanish Alexa capability here right away. We've had a few of these

reports before. I don't think I've seen one that was so elaborate like this, but

Alexa or the Echo series of devices have been hacked again. This is by a Chinese

company named Tencent, and they ultimately did a lot of work and I

think this was overblown a little bit in this case. I've seen some other hacks or

some other attempts to hack Alexa that seemed a little easier and

seemed like people could actually do it. If you heard this story what i want to

say to you this time is this is not a big deal. This is something that was very

hard to execute and i don't think many people could execute this kind of a hack.

Something that we've seen from Amazon for a long time is the ability to

integrate with Ring, and Arlo, and a number of camera manufacturers, and they

can actually give you the live feeds, but what you can't always get is the ability

to actually grab the saved feed. So these are when you're getting a notification

and the camera has witnessed some motion that it shouldn't, and it's saved the

feed. Now what you can actually do is now through Alexa is bring that up on one

of the the visual devices that Amazon has created over the years. So that's

capable on your Fire Tablet, as well as the Echo Show and the Echo Spot devices.

A device i've talked about a few times on the channel is actually the different

versions of what was called BedJet. Now what's been added to the third version

of BedJet, called BedJet 3, nothing fancy there, that what's been added there

is an Alexa capability or integration. So you're going to be able to change the

temperature through Alexa, through the skill that BedJet now has. Something

that is a major cornerstone here for Amazon is called Cleo. If you don't

know what Cleo is, it's essentially a learning skill on the Echo devices that

allows Alexa to learn a language over time. Now that's an incredible thought,

and it's kind of a scary thought actually, whenever I think about it. But

ultimately it's been deployed in India to hopefully go and learn because there

are so many localised languages, and nuances to languages, in different parts

of India. It's been deployed there to learn the different languages and the

different nuances as well. So obviously this is something that Amazon has to use

to catch up to all the different languages that Google is adding to the

Google Assistant and Google Home . Another device that had a Google Assistant

on board was actually from Bose. These are called the QC 35 IIs and these are

some wireless headphones that a lot of people really enjoy the sound out of.

Obviously Bose is a pretty high quality speaker there, and ultimately what

they've had for some time is Google Assistant integration. You do have to

kind of click to get the Google Assistant to come up, but now Alexa is on

board as well. So major integration for them with another great speaker company.

So there you have it guys. Again I think this is one of the biggest updates that

Amazon has had in a long time. These are some great features, and

some great expansions when you think about them going into Mexico. You think

about the integration with Cortana, and what that could mean. You can call up

Alexa on a PC now, and go ahead and utilize all those skills. So that's quite

the integration there, and I think it brings the power considerably up with

Alexa, and again it's a bit of a scary thought when you consider all of the

different voice assistants starting to come together, partnering together, and being

on the same device. It's shades of Terminator going on here in my head. So

anyways everyone, it's great stuff, it's great to see, I can't wait for the next

updates for new products, new features here for Amazon Echo, the Alexa voice

assistant, and we'll see you guys all next time. Thanks for watching.

Judge Says Feds Can't Use Testimony Of Tortured Gitmo Detainees At Trial - Duration: 3:58.

You may not be aware of this, but we are actually still actively prosecuting some of the people

who we, the federal government, believe were masterminds, or at least somewhat involved

in the 9/11 attacks, and, as part of this ongoing prosecution that we have, which is

currently taking place down there in Guantanamo Bay, a big ruling came out this week.

That is that the military judge overseeing this prosecution has ruled that statements

from five detainees cannot be used in the trial.

Why?

Because those five detainees were tortured by the CIA before being interrogated by the

FBI.

That is what this judge ruled.

That is what the testimony and evidence shows, and so they don't believe that any of the

testimony given to the FBI by these detainees is credible.

They believe that these men were tortured to the point where they would say anything

to the FBI, so that is why they cannot use those statements in court.

Here's what happened.

These five men, and don't get me wrong, these are probably pretty bad human beings.

I mean, based on the charges that they're facing, and they're not even necessarily arguing

that they weren't involved in it.

They may have just said more than they should have or more than was true after they were

tortured, but nonetheless, these five men upon capture many years ago were taken to

CIA black sites, you know, those things that John Brennan loved and helped orchestrate,

along with Gina Haspel, who's the current CIA director.

They were taken to these CIA black sites.

They were tortured there, according to doctors who have seen these men, and accounts of the

people who were there, and then immediately after the torture ended they were interrogated

by the FBI to get information.

They gave faulty information, which is basically what this judge is saying, and so now none

of that can be used in this prosecution.

The government is seeking the death penalty for these people.

In fact, here are the charges here.

Each of the detainees have been charged under the military commission system with attacking

civilians, attacking civilian objects, intentionally causing serious bodily injury, murder in violation

of the law of war, destruction of property in violation of the law of war, hijacking

or hazarding a vessel or aircraft, and additionally they're charged with 2,973 counts of murder

apiece, one for every person killed in the 9/11 attacks.

So yeah, not exactly a great crop of individuals, yet none of them should have been tortured.

That's what this story is about.

The US government actively engaged in torture activities for years during the war on terror,

may even still be going on now, because Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed his support

of torture, and, as predicted way back then, as is stated in military rules, we can't use

any of the testimony that we got from those people because they were tortured.

The US government broke the rules, and because of that it's going to be much harder to hold

those responsible accountable.

They were so desperate to get even with these people that they broke international laws.

They broke international treaties.

They broke national laws, and now it's coming back to bite us because we can't even use

that testimony in their trial, and we shouldn't be allowed to.

Don't get me wrong on that.

I'm not angry that we can't use it.

We shouldn't be allowed to use it.

We broke the law just like these people broke the law.

The only problem with it is that none of the people who orchestrated it here from the United

States will ever be held accountable at this point.

Majestic 12: The Godfathers of UFO Cover Ups - Duration: 14:51.

Has there been a secret government organization named Majestic 12

covering up the truth about extraterrestrials and UFOs for decades?

If so, how did they come to be and who's involved?

Are the documents that leaked about this group legitimate?

And what do they tell us about extraterrestrials?

Do we now have evidence of how John F. Kennedy was really assassinated

Time to take this topic to the Edge of Wonder.

and here they are, your hosts Ben Bluebook and Rob Roswell.

Welcome to Edge of Wonder, I'm your host Ben,

and I'm Rob.

Have you ever wondered where X-Files, Men in Black, Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Dark skies, and a slew of other sci-fi movies got a lot of their ideas from?

Well, some of these may not just be in the imagination of the writers

and sometimes, as we found out,

the truth may be stranger than fiction.

Wait, I'm gonna stop us right there.

Don't forget to hit like and subscribe

and hit those notifications bells at the top

so that you can get Edge of Wonder content every week when it comes in.

1947 and 1952 was a hot time for UFO-related sightings and crashes

Top-secret documents state that over 16 crashes were recovered

where a whopping 65 E.T. bodies were reportedly recovered in these crashes.

So everyone knows about the Roswell crash that happened in July of 1947,

but what people don't know is that there is even a more massive and secretive crash

that took place in Aztec, New Mexico on March 28th, 1948.

There's even a plaque at the location where it supposedly happened.

It is said that the security recovery operation was led by the Air Force and 5th Army Division.

They removed a craft that was over 100 feet in diameter and 18 feet tall.

The craft had 17 alien dead bodies,

but this isn't what freaked everyone out.

UFO researchers and insiders said that they also removed

a large amount of random human body parts.

Holy...

That would freak anyone out.

So the Aztec crash remains one of the most top secret guarded topics in the history of the US.

But think about it,

pressure from the public would definitely demand answers,

and wouldn't the public freak out if they knew

an elite group of people decided that

they needed something to handle all of these situations.

Something that could operate in the shadows without oversight.

Something that could make decisions without asking approval from even the President.

Something that would eventually become the greatest threat our country might have ever seen.

Thus the Majestic 12, or MJ-12, was born.

So stay tuned to hear how the NSA, the CIA, and the MJ-12 were all created.

So one day in 1984, Hollywood producer and filmmaker,

Jaime Shandera,

received a package without a return address.

All there was inside was a roll of 35 millimeter undeveloped film.

When Shandera developed it, he realized it contained

8 pages of an alleged briefing paper, dated November 18th, 1952,

in which Vice Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter,

sorry if I butchered that,

told President-elect Dwight Eisenhower of the recovery of remains of two crashed spaceships.

So these documents say a lot,

but it mentions that these crafts do not originate from Earth.

It even mentions Mars being a possibility

or another system altogether.

Which, if you haven't watched our show on Mars, could actually be true.

So, anyway, it goes on to say

that the object recovered at Roswell had writing and patterns they have never seen before,

and most importantly, they described that it doesn't have any wings, propellers,

any other conventional methods of propulsion and guidance,

as well as a lack of metallic wiring electronic components.

It states specifically that on July 7th, 1947,

a secret operation began to assure the recovery of the wreckage

and the civilian and military witnesses were debriefed

and reporters were told that it was-

a weather balloon.

Haven't heard that one before!

But on July 8th, one newspaper printed this story of it being a UFO

after arriving on the scene when it happened and even getting photos of the officers,

who were probably not briefed yet.

So you can find these documents on the FBI website.

However, they just have the words 'bogus' written on it with big letters,

just to let everyone know that writing something in big letters must mean it's fake.

well apparently the FBI thought this tactic would work as well

and if you look at it on Fakeapedia,

Fakeapedia!

it also says, of course, it's fake, so it must be.

Then it must be fake.

Ok so, how did mj-12 actually form?

Well, since the military and President Truman were trying to figure out how to keep all of this

from getting out to the public and exposed,

On September 24th 1947, he passed one of the most important and scariest pieces of legislation:

the National Security Act.

So, as if you guys haven't already guessed,

Truman signed this executive order which gave rise to the CIA, the NSA,

and soon to be, the Majestic 12

Now on the surface, what we know is that this was the start of the Cold War

and security became a major concern.

So it was thought that if they organized what was the Central Intelligence Group,

then they can protect the country better against foreign threats

However, this only made it easier for them to work in the shadows,

monitor, and gather intelligence from covert activities from either home or abroad.

So many insiders say that the real reason

that this was all set up

was to make it a lot easier for the government to cover-up and control the "alien secret"

and that it was one of the biggest secrets still guarded today.

So from this moment on, the official stance of the U.S. government

is that UFO and aliens definitely do not exist,

and that anyone who says they do are probably crazy.

So Rob, I guess I would be included in that book as being crazy

since I mean, I was just at the Contact in the Desert

and I actually saw a UFO.

Which actually means, you just made the title of that conference literal.

And we can now market it as 'Make Contact in the Desert with Ben'.

Well, wait 'till we start talking about that document that leaked about MJ-12

and how they handle people talking about UFOs.

You're actually not wrong about how they treat you.

Yeah, so you guys got to keep watching to hear about this crazy document.

Okay, so back to our story.

During this time, a lot of secret memos and documents

started to be passed around by President Truman and various high-level top officials,

which finally set the stage for creating the Majestic 12.

So the Secretary of Defense, James Forrestal,

teamed up with Dr. Vannevar Bush,

who, by the way, was also in charge of the Manhattan Project

which created the atomic bomb.

So they got together with 10 other high-ranking military officials

to take control of all extraterrestrial contact.

I read the whole document, Ben,

Yeah.

and at first I was like, well is this document real?

Is it not?

But as I kept reading it, I was like astounded

by the level of detail that this thing went into.

I mean, it's literally the instruction guide book on how to handle it

if an alien craft lands or comes down, right?

Right.

They're talking about what the extraterrestrials look like,

what materials they've used, or that they found on these ships.

And the scariest part that I found

was what to do about people in order to keep everything secret.

I mean, it was like, it was like-

Basically like, use any means-

any means necessary.

And you don't even have to contact the President,

like, 'Is it okay if we do this?'

it's like, you have total clearance to do whatever you want.

Yeah.

So, let's get back to our story now,

with more of like, MJ-12 coming back into this.

So, so coming into this,

actually, and I think this goes along with why these documents were released,

there is actually a faction that started to develop within the group.

A "positive faction".

Yeah, yeah so James Forrestal was a very idealistic and a religious man

and he didn't want to have all the secrecy

about these UFOs and aliens and thought,

Hey, you know, the public should know about this.

I mean, this is some crazy stuff we're dealing with

and maybe the public should know.

So he began to talk to other like-

you know, other people within the group and whatnot

and soon President Truman found out,

and basically, he was forced to resign.

He's like,

Look, you're gonna resign, this can't happen.

So, anyway, so Forrestal was eventually placed in a mental institute

and he was deemed crazy because he kept talking about aliens.

It was like, again,

This guy's crazy, he's talking about aliens. We've got to send him to the hospital.

And eventually he "killed himself"

by tying a sheet around his neck and jumping out a window

and supposedly even writing a suicide-

Right.

-note.

Right, and so his buddies in this faction were talking about-

They find broken glass inside his room, which suggests a struggle,

and they think and probably believe, then, that his suicide note was forged.

Right, and so he actually becomes what is known as the first person-

The first cover-up.

Death cover-up of the whole "alien...."

Right, right.

Um, secrecy.

So Ben, let's get into where President Eisenhower comes into this.

Right.

So in 1953, Dwight Eisenhower becomes President and takes office.

Soon, he's on an aircraft carrier and actually sees a UFO

and starts demanding 'What is going on?'

and sends a letter to MJ-12 saying like,

'What are you guys doing?'

So he demands everything that they're doing and of course, they refused.

So, he sends his own military over there,

and what did you say the military was again?

It was the first army.

Which is like, you know, these were like, at the time especially,

these were like the boss army, right?

So he sends these guys over there

and finally they're like, okay, okay fine, you know,

We'l release some stuff to you, whatever.

We sped that whole part up. It took a little more time

for Eisenhower to get angry and to send the army over.

Yeah, to Area 51.

In February 1954,

President Eisenhower interrupts his vacation in Palm Springs, California

to make a secret trip to a nearby Air Force Base

to meet two extraterrestrial aliens

or as it said in the media,

he went on an emergency dentist trip.

Had to get those molars fixed, I guess.

It was here that Eisenhower reportedly signed a treaty with these extraterrestrials,

or got a tooth filling.

It is now generally believed that he was forced into this,

however and then regretted it his entire life.

So Laura Eisenhower, who's actually becoming a really good friend of ours,

Hi Laura!

So, she talks about this at quite a good length in our last video interview

that we did with her

Yeah, yeah. Actually, if you haven't checked it out,

we did one interview with her and we have another one from Contact in the Desert

and she basically talks about how she's felt guilty about how she thought about him, you know...

You could say that one of his biggest mistakes wasn't actually signing the treaty,

but it was asking Nelson Rockefeller for help with this alien issue.

Because of this, Nelson was able to be very influential

and got so much power that he almost became more powerful than the President.

So really, in a way, he had no choice but to sign this treaty

if this was the way it actually went down,

because he wanted to release all of this to the public

when he found out that these aliens deceived the U.S.

But by this time, MJ-12 was becoming so powerful

that even the President of the U.S.

really couldn't do anything about it.

So, supposedly, this treaty was that they can only work with the U.S.,

abduct some people, but they had to bring them back,

they couldn't harm them or do anything with that- with those people,

and they couldn't do anything else with any other country.

Very soon they found out that, well, this wasn't happening,

people weren't being returned, and they started finding out there they were making deals

with Russia, and China,

and all kinds of things.

So, now this brings up the whole other issue with President John F. Kennedy.

So, stay tuned if you want to find out what might have actually happened to John F. Kennedy.

You could stay tuned or we could tell you right now.

Let's tell you right now.

So, John F Kennedy, after he became president,

he started getting also involved with this Majestic 12,

figuring out what was going on and supposedly,

Now, it's hard to find that this document exists,

but supposedly he wrote a document to MJ-12

stating everything that they've been doing,

what is going on, where their funding is going- coming from,

and that if they don't respond to him, he's going to expose them.

This is where this really interesting document comes in.

So we'll just show-

We'll show you a less lame image of this.

Okay.

it is in rough shape, let's put it that way.

So this- well, this is like a print out copy,

but anyway so there's a burned copy that was found and it's titled:

Top-Secret MJ-12.

The interesting thing is it says:

Director of Central Intelligence (MJ-1)

So that's Allen Dulles.

Before we talk about this document,

you have to understand that John F. Kennedy had a code name.

And that code name was Lancer.

Lancer was his code name.

And this document goes on to basically say that

Lancer is asking too many questions, right?

Exactly, exactly.

and they're like, what should we do to handle this situation?

So, the problem is that there's no actual date on this document,

but supposedly, very soon after this document came out, he was killed.

The message that they were sending out, the MJ-12, was saying,

Hey, we just killed our president.

Yeah, anybody else want to mess with us?

We did hear some other things, like some other people saying that

Kennedy was going to release a lot of this information to Russia.

On the record, Ben and I don't think that's what happened.

Right.

I think I think Kennedy was clean, I don't think that was going on.

So, where are we today?

Let's kind of go into what's happening today.

Where is MJ-12,

and what's happening with our society right now?

So, of course, MJ-12 probably is no longer called this.

I mean, anything that's-

To make a long story short, what matters is the name probably changed.

Yeah, the reason why I believe that

most likely that these are real, there's a lot of people that are involved with the government

like this side of the government that want the public-

they want disclosure.

so they are sending out things and then you have the other side,

who is trying to cover this up.

So I think, right now, where we are is that

there is a division of the two sides.

Yeah, it actually exists.

It didn't go away.

and now like you have the side, that's what they're calling the Alliance.

Yeah.

Which is releasing more information and trying to get the public-

and get technology into people's hands like what Emory Smith is doing.

Exactly.

Okay, that ends our Edge of Wonder episode on MJ-12.

Let us know what you guys think.

Yeah, definitely and until next time we will see you out-

on the edge!

you
