Youtube daily Aug 8 2018

- I'm Bo Burnham.

- And I'm Elsie Fisher.

- And we're from the movie Eighth Grade and she's standing

on something 'cause--

- Yeah, I'm not this tall IRL.

- IRL, and we are on TRL answering Requestions.

Let's get into it.

- Let's do this.

(upbeat synth music)

- Bo, what extremely visceral memories from your eighth

grade experience helped inspire you while writing the film?

I was pantsed on a whale watching trip.

No whales were seen that day.

- Hi guys, my name is Josh.

I just saw the movie like five minutes ago

and I thought it was absolutely incredible.

- That's enough I think, just move on right?

- Yeah.

- I'm just kidding.

- How do you that think young people

should go about social media?

How do you think that they should navigate it?

- That's very nice Josh, what do you think?

You'd know better than I do.

- My advice for teens and people of all ages

is be aware of how much time you're spending online I guess.

Take a minute, read a book.

- Yeah, but keep watching this.

Which of the sauces was the best

one in the chicken nugget scene?

AKA the best scene in the entire film.

That's hilarious,

you know what's so funny?

You guys never actually cracked open the sauces, right?

- I never even ate a nugget.

I just picked at the fries.

- You did just pick at the fries.

Are you a nugget person?

- No.

- My favorite go to nuggie sauce would be honey mustard.

- I'm either a ranch or barbecue girl if

I partake in any nuggies.

- What's your go to snack if you could

have any snack in the world?

Mine would be circus peanuts.

Gucci.

(electronic beeping

- Tim, do you know what circus peanuts are?

They're the things at your grandfathers

house in a big stale bowl.

- That's actually terrible because at

my grandfathers house we actually have a bowl of--

- I know, it's required.

My go to snack would be peanut butter filled pretzels.

- Mmm, my go to snack is popcorn flavored like pickles,

its amazing.

- Thank God it's not the other way

around, pickles flavored like popcorn I mean.

- I'd probably eat those too.

- [Bo] What was it like on set between scenes?

- It was fun, we were friends so like we played around.

You made fun of me.

- Hacky sack.

- Poured water on my head, eat crafty.

- Eat crafty, lots of circus peanuts.

- Get bread bowls.

- Yeah, I'm a big bowl guy.

Coffee goes right through me.

What was it like filming on location at

an actual middle school with the students who went there?

It was truly great.

- Yeah, it was so fun and the middle

school itself was very cool.

- Yeah, and the middle school left up

the artwork so that was really nice.

- Yeah, and a lot of the kids were actual

kids who like went to that school.

- Yeah, they were legit kids.

- They were real kids,

they weren't fake kids they were real kids.

- Real children.

When you walk into a middle school,

for me who hasn't been there in a while,

like the smell is so specific.

Things have changed but like the musty old smell

of a middle school or an art classroom.

- Yeah, for sure.

- Those watercolors, it's crazy.

That's the it.

- That's the it.

- That's the it and I appreciate you all being here.

This has been Total Requestions,

I'm Bo Bestion.

- And I'm Elise Fisher.

(light pop music)

- Dismount.

Big Tech Bans Alex Jones and Android Pie Is Official - Duration: 3:03.

Hey, what's up, my name is Pete Pachal and this is Technically Speaking.

First up!

Big tech took a major stand this week against the spread of misinformation and

dangerous conspiracy theories after Apple pulled the majority of InfoWars

host Alex Jones' content from its podcast platform on Sunday for violating its

speech guidelines. Facebook and YouTube followed suit on Monday,

citing similar violations and deleting his official pages on both networks.

This comes after Spotify and Stitcher had begun removing his podcasts last week.

Jones, the controversial far-right commentator and conspiracy theorist, has

become notorious for spreading conspiracies about topics like 9/11 and

the Sandy Hook and Parkland school shootings. With massive public pressure

mounted against big digital-media companies in recent months for their

handling of inflammatory content, some

see this as a promising first step taken

against fake news. Others, however, worry about what it means to have so much

power over content distribution in the hands of just a few tech companies.

Next up!

Android Pie is here, and everyone wants a slice. On Monday, Google released the

name of the new version of Android. This is number nine, for those counting, and it

is packed with delicious flavor — I mean, a slew of new improvements. Android is now

much more accommodating for phones with edge-to-edge displays and "notches" which

are all the rage these days. You get revamped navigation controls and a new

gesture-based system where you can swipe up to see your recently viewed apps,

similar to the iPhone 10. This Pie is also getting personal: The system will

learn your habits that you use

throughout the day, predicting what

you'll do so you can maximize your battery life. Google even wants you to be

more aware of your own phone habits, as it plans to eventually roll out what it

calls "digital wellbeing" so you can monitor just how much time you're

spending on your phone and which apps you use most. Google's Pixel phones are

the first ones to get a taste of Pie, receiving the update this week. Other

devices will have to wait until later this year.

And finally!

Facebook is speaking up after the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that the

social media behemoth has been asking major banks for people's financial data.

With public concern over Facebook user privacy at an all-time high,

the new report alleges that the company

spoke with several large US banks about

customer information and discussed setting up new features via Facebook Messenger,

like fraud alerts or checking account balances.

But Facebook responded by saying it was not interested in accessing users' financial information and

just wants to offer new experiences in its services. For example, with this kind

of integration, you'd be able to chat directly with your bank's customer

service in Messenger, and Facebook was explicit that it would not use any

financial or transactional information to serve you ads or for any other reason.

Nonetheless, the original report did say that at least one bank called off the

talks out of concerns over data privacy.

Thanks for watching. Don't forget to let

us know what you think in the comments, and we'll be back next week with more

tech news.

The Doctors Job, Find Out What Or Why to Heal Without Harm - Dr. David Minkoff, M.D. - Duration: 8:00.

Hi Dr. Minkoff here. Last week I was seeing a patient and that patient had

been seen by another physician and had given them a solution which had been

going on for about nine years and the patient was continually getting worse

and it just hit me that this patient had presented nine years ago with a bunch of

symptoms that added up to Parkinson's disease. The brain MRI had been done

and the neurologist decided this was Parkinson's disease and had given the

appropriate prescription medication which was L-dopa and had followed the

patient for nine years and after nine years she was going downhill and she had

ended up in our office because she was looking for something that might work

better because he told her that the natural progress of the disease was

going to be a steady decline because the medication stopped working and then

there wasn't much that he could do. So it occurred to me that since our approach

is really different I'm always trying to figure out like what's my job well my

job is why do you got what you got? For most people it's not genetic. You didn't

have it two years ago or five years ago. until that point you were fine. Then

something happened or some things happened

which gave you the problem that you have

So until nine years ago this person had no appreciation that she had Parkinson's

disease. She's in her middle 60's now and up until probably 55 years old she was

active she played tennis she went out she did what she did and then she

started to feel gradually that she had less and less control over her body and

so she went to the doctor to find out why and he didn't really find out why. He

made a diagnosis based on symptoms and very little workup. So when I saw her

it just hit me of gee there's probably a lot of things that added up to her

getting what she got and so I started to investigate her to say could there be

some things that got into her body or things that were missing

her body that caused her to get what she got. The first thing I did oftentimes

dental problems can add up to neurological problems especially dental

infections so I examined her and I sent her to a dentist to get a specialized

called the cone beam CT it's a CT scan of just the teeth and I wrote on the

prescription rule-out abscess. So that report came back and it said that this

person had eleven abscessed root canal teeth. Now that's a lot of abscessed

teeth three inches from the brain. Could those

toxins from the abscess from the bacteria that are in there trickle back

and affect the cells of the brain? You bet they could! We know that almost all

people who have coronary artery disease if you ream out the plaque and you

culture the plaque or you do specialized microbiology on the plaque that almost

all of them are infected with dental infections. These could be pockets in

gums they can be from abscesses and root canals. So we know it goes all over but

this isn't very far to go. So that was well that could be a why or

a what. Then I did another test on her which was a urine test for mold toxins

and the particular that we use tests for for mold toxins. And she had the

highest levels of mold toxins that I've ever gotten and I've been testing these

things for 10 years. Like 20 times acceptable levels of mold toxins in her

body coming out in her urine which means that she's living in a really moldy

house because these molds grow and they put out these toxins and they breathe

them in and we know that mold toxins are extreme brain toxins in fact we do a

test on people with mold where we're able to have them look at a particular

image to see how well they can separate very

fine lines how close they are. It's called a visual contrast test and people

who have mold toxins think that these two things are the same and this is

crude because this is on a piece of paper but if your brain is really sharp

and it's really good you can see little really little skinny lines that are very

close to each other you can say oh yeah those are different so we know mold

toxins are a brain toxin okay so that was another one we also did a

stool test on her and we found that she was infested with two different

parasites now parasites also produce toxins that

can infiltrate into the body and cause problems she also had some pathogenic

bacteria in her gut and we were able to measure her urine for toxins that these

bacteria make and she had a lot of those so here's someone who's got these things

and then the last one was a lot of times when people have brain problems they

have problems with the upper two bones of their neck where the bones are a

little twisted and it chokes off either the blood supply coming out of their

brain or the cerebrospinal fluid flow in their brain and she had a twist of her

upper cervical vertebrae it was blocking off the normal circulation of her brain

and that was another problem so after I saw her I said boy we found a whole

bunch of what's and whys and if we fix these things there is a chance that we

can get your body to now heal because it's been suffering from these things

now I can't promise her that she'll be normal I don't know that but I know that

in the past when we've had patients similar to this they often really do

improve because when we get these toxic influences off of them

their body's natural innate intelligence will start to heal but if

you don't address those things and you just give a medication

designed to block symptoms they're not gonna heal so if you're diagnosed with

something simple let's say you've got a sore throat and you go to the doctor and

he does a swab and you got strep now that's easy okay you get a medication

for that in ten days you're fine and it's done. But if you've got something

like you're tired all the time or you can't think or you've got brain fog or

you've got Parkinson's or you've got MS or you've got cancer or you've got

rheumatoid arthritis or some other autoimmune disease it isn't a lack of a

particular medication that caused your problem it's a lack of the doctor

finding out what and why is wrong with you because you didn't have this before

and if we find the right things we can give the right treatment that will heal

without harm and improve you so if you're in that situation start looking

around because there is help available and you could get better than you are

now hope this helps

Trump Administration Will Allow More Toxic Asbestos Into Our Daily Lives - Duration: 4:42.

In terms of human health, the Trump administration and especially the Trump administration's

EPA has done some really horrible things for the American public.

They have basically tried to roll back any rules that would help keep our air cleaner

or our water cleaner, our soil cleaner, our cars more fuel efficient.

They're trying to destroy everything.

But what they've done right now is quite possibly one of the worst things to so far come out

of this administration.

They have decided that they're going to allow asbestos back into the manufacturing process

here in the United States and I know there's still several industries that actually use

asbestos in their manufacturing.

Asbestos is in products that we use every single day without even realizing it.

But this EPA under this administration wants even more asbestos.

Companies are begging them.

They want more asbestos.

We can't have enough of this stuff.

Here's what's happened.

June 1, the EPA came out with a new rule that was gonna allow them to reevaluate how they

evaluate toxic chemicals here in the United States and asbestos, even though it's not

a chemical, it is a fiber, falls under that category and so they're not necessarily gonna

take a look at the risks that any of these chemicals pose anymore if they're in the air,

in the soil or in the water.

Those are out the window and asbestos is something, the fibers that you inhale, meaning it no

longer has to pass the test that it's not harmful if it's in the air because they're

not gonna test for that anymore, which will allow for more asbestos to come into the United

States here.

There are 60 countries across the planet that have banned the use of asbestos, banned it.

You cannot bring asbestos into those countries, 60 of them.

But here in the United States, we haven't banned it.

Like I mentioned before, there are products that we use every single day that have asbestos

in them.

One of the biggest consumers of asbestos here in the United States is actually the automobile

industry.

Nearly every single part of your car has some kind of asbestos in it, especially the brakes.

Brake pads, horribly filled with asbestos, which means that the people in the factories

who manufacture those brake pads are inhaling asbestos.

Those people, a lot of them, will end up developing lung cancer, such as mesothelioma and now

that the EPA doesn't want to look at if these things are toxic if you breathe them in and

if they don't test for that, then you get a free pass on that, we're gonna have more

asbestos in this country and we're gonna have more people dying of incurable lung cancers

from an inhalation.

That's what's happening.

That is what this administration is pushing for right now.

This was one of Scott Pruitt's last efforts at the EPA before he resigned in disgrace

and Andrew Wheeler, the guy who's now running the EPA, the former co-lobbyist is 100% on

board with this.

Why?

Because it's what corporations want.

They don't care how many more people die from mesothelioma.

In fact, there is actually these old asbestos industry documents where one of the executives

said, "Well, hey, if you lived a good life working with asbestos, why not die from asbestos."

That is what their own internal documents said.

They knew it was deadly, dating all the way back to the late 1800s.

In fact, you want to go even more historical, there are actually reports back from ancient

Greece where they worked with asbestos and they happen to notice that people who worked

with asbestos a lot seemed to die from these lung infections.

They didn't know what it was back then.

But they knew that there was a link between asbestos and lung problems.

It was confirmed back in the late 1800s.

The industry knew about it back then and so here we are, the year 2018 and rather than

banning this substance like all the other intelligent countries across the planet, we're

actually trying to bring more of it into this country.

We're moving backwards while everybody else moves forward and it is 100% to benefit corporations

who don't give a damn about human life here in the United States.

Etsy Seo Tips: Mistakes YOU might make on your Etsy listings SEO - Duration: 8:33.

So there are a ton of mistakes being made out there when it comes to Etsy SEO.

In this video I want to go over some of the main ones that cause the most

problems what's going on Etsy sellers thanks for coming back to my channel

today and if you're new to my channel please consider subscribing I do new

videos all the time with that being said shout out to

everybody grabbing up the ebooks and the coaching services in the description

below a ton of people have been messaging me and telling me how the

promoted listings ebook have been skyrocketing their sales so heck yeah

you guys thanks for supporting me and thanks for growing your shop with me so

with that being said let's jump right into it again so the top SEO mistakes

being made on Etsy can really hurt you and they can actually seem harmless at

first but it throws off the algorithm and it totally confuses the search

results so the first one that I always see is two varieties of this and it's

putting free shipping or putting sale in the title of the listing this is a huge

no-no because nobody is typing in free shipping some people may but the

majority of your customers are not looking for free shipping right off the

back they're looking for a cool product and you want to be as descriptive as

possible to get your listing in front of them so keep that in mind when you put

in free shipping into a title it just takes up space and it throws off the

algorithm it confuses the search results so and you don't actually have to do

that either if you really have free shipping on the listing put free

shipping on it and it will show up in the filtered search results because on

the left hand side of search you can click on free shipping it automatically

filters out all of the listings that have free shipping so no need to put

free shipping in the title the same goes for sale if you are doing a sale don't

put it in the title and lower the prices yourself take it out of the title put a

sale on it using the sale function on at sea and that will also put your item

in the search filters because you can go to the left hand side once again and you

can filter out all the listings that are not on sale and people can find you

based on free shipping or based on sales and I talked about using those two

search filters as a way of getting found in another video so if you're putting

free shipping or sale in your title definitely consider taking it out right

now for those reasons that I just mentioned the next SEO mistake that I

see a lot of people making is it's putting a special name in the title like

a special name of the product you made if it's a one-of-a-kind product and you

gave it a super cool mystical type name or whatever it may be and it's not

descriptive to that listing it's going to take up space in your title again and

just not target your customers as well as you could be so save the super cool

names for the description and just keep it in there take the super cool names

out of there also if you put in quotations around the super cool names

that you come up with that's another no-no for the for the

titles that's just unnecessary and it may have a negative effect on your

search results so put your super cool names in the description it's just gonna

take up space and throw off the algorithm I used to do the same exact

thing I used to think of the most mystical names might it before what lynn

said was woodlands that we used to be called mystical makings and we had some

pretty mystical names and they were at the front of the title and they never

got thought they never got seen and that's when I initially quit Etsy a few

years back before giving it another try and finally becoming successful so take

it from somebody that has actually failed by doing that exact thing save

the super cool names for your description the next one is a pretty

obvious one but unless you go through in a search a few times

a month and make sure you're not doing this they can stack up so it's spelling

errors believe it or not you may have some spelling errors in your tags and

titles right now the easiest way to do that is go to your listings on the

right-hand side you have a few options to filter your own listings within your

dashboard you can filter them based on tags if you didn't know that it's a

really useful way to see how many tags are using and how many times you're

using each tag throughout your entire shop so go to that it's under like more

advanced options or more options something something to that effect it's

on the right-hand side when you're in listings you can see all the tags that

are that you're using how many times you're using them and just go through

there and make sure none of your tags are misspelled if there are misspelled

in some of the tags then chances are they may be misspelled in your title as

well so go to your title and your tags and

correct the spelling error if it's a silly one I know and it's quite obvious

but it's overlooked sometimes a straight up spelling error can can get you less

abused so that's another one make sure you're spelling your tags and titles

correctly and then another one is being too repetitive with some of your

keywords in the past years on Etsy being extremely repetitive worked really well

just repeating different versions of the same keyword in the last video that I

did I mentioned sorting out your keyword phrases in terms of adjectives and nouns

so what I used to do and it worked it used to work is repeat my noun and put a

bunch of different adjectives in front of it so that noun only needs to be used

once or twice now Etsy's algorithm scans the whole title mixes and matches based

on the customers search and brings you up based on the other factors as well so

don't get too repetitive it used to work and it used to work well but now not so

much as he wants to once very descriptive titles vary

accurate titles and tags and they are they're gearing more towards that so be

descriptive and don't be too repetitive and then this one this last one is more

of an opinion but it's a strong opinion the the last SEO mistake that I see

people doing is not having a keyword search tool so in my opinion not having

normally it's it's not it's like you're running in the dark without a keyword

search tool you may be using tags that are completely never ever searched and

you might not even know it and that's the sad part but with a tool like

marmalade you can see exactly how many times somebody is searching that keyword

per month and see how much it's engaged with it's a very powerful tool I'll put

the link for it in the description below and you can support my channel by

getting marmalade through that link Marley is this the only tool that I use

for SEO and it's the only tool that I give credit to for bringing me a ton of

success on Etsy helping me create a six-figure income with that being said

all of these other errors and mistakes in SEO is a great place to start and if

you're doing any of these things definitely consider right now to take up

eliminate those from your SEO strategy is not there there I can see where the

intent came from but in reality these these things don't work anymore so

that's it you guys as you know I do new videos all the time on Etsy success so

please consider subscribing if you haven't already and you can go in the

link in the description to grab any of my ebooks or Etsy services and till next

time have a nice day everyone peace out
