OnePlus 6T Detailed Camera Review - Duration: 10:09.

"Music"

Hey Guys It's Sagar from Tecworkz, and in this video, let's talk about the cameras

on the new OnePlus 6T.

OnePlus smartphone have always had pretty average cameras in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, they take good picture on their own, but they fall way behind when

compared to the real flagships.

It always gets a pass from me or from other reviewers, coz its priced lower than the other

flagships.

But since OnePlus is aggressively increasing the prices every 6 months, it's time we

treat their smartphones just like any other flagship.

OnePlus 6T now starts at 37,999Rs, and even with the increased price, it doesn't brings

any changes to the camera hardware.

There are some changes in the camera software or the way that this phone processes the images.

But does that really bring any improvements, let's find out.

The main camera is still a 16 Megapixel sensor with F/1.7 Aperture, a pixel size of 1.22micron,

and has Optical image stabilisation.

The secondary camera has 20 megapixel sensor, wide F/1.7 Aperture, and a smaller pixel size

of 1 micron, this one does not have OIS.

And again, it is only used for sensing depth information for portrait shots.

You can shoot 4k videos at 30 and 60fps, 1080p videos at upto 240fps and 720p videos at 480fps.

Just like on the OnePlus 6, OIS on the primary camera is only active while taking images

or shooting 60fps videos in 1080p or 4k resolution.

30fps videos are electronically stabilised.

At the front, we still have a 16 megapixel camera with F/2.0 Aperture and electronic

stabilisation.

Interface of the camera app is pretty similar to previous OnePlus smartphone, where you

can swipe left or right to switch between camera modes.

There is a new Night mode, for taking images in extreme low light.

You can even pull up, or tap on the small arrow above the shutter button to revel some

more modes, which includes a full on manual mode, for taking images.

Now get ready for a lot of image and video samples from this camera.

But before that, make sure to hit the subscribe button, so you don't miss out on any of

the amazing videos coming up on this channel.

On a bright sunny day, you get ample amount of details in your shots.

Colours seem a bit saturated and vibrant compared to the actual scene.

And just like with the OnePlus 6, I still think these images fall a bit behind in terms

of contrast, so there is not enough depth in these shots.

There is a bit of over sharpening applied in processing, which give an illusion of the

images being more detailed.

Colour are accurate for the most part, specially while taking images in controlled lighting

situations.

While shooting outside, with HDR turned on, some images show a bit saturated colours,

while the colours are muted in other images.

HDR mode brings up lot of details in the shadows, and makes the overall image much more attractive.

These cameras are not good showing dynamic range on their own, so I keep HDR mode on,

for most of my shots.

You can take 2x digitally zoomed images.

There are not as detailed as optically zoomed images from some of the other smartphones,

but in bright daylight, they have plenty of information.

Here is a focusing speed test shot at 4k 30fps.

It is pretty fast at switching the focus from a far to near object, and then back again.

I did the same test at 4k 60fps, and at this frame rate, the camera takes a few extra milliseconds,

to switch the focus from far to near objects.

Once the focus is locked, you can take some really good close up and macro shots.

Thanks to a wide F/1.7 aperture, background is blurred out very nicely.

There is a bit of aliasing, in certain parts of some images, but for the most part, these

close up shots look really good.

Coming to the portrait shots.

This is when the secondary lens is put to use.

Both the cameras combine the information they've gathered, and then the software algorithm

tried it's best to differentiate the subject, and blur the background.

Just like any other phone, It's not perfect at detecting edges, but it tries its best

and does a really good job.

It doesn't show good dynamic range while capturing these portrait shots, and in many

shots, the background is blown out.

I hope OnePlus works on fixing it, in one of their future software updates.

Unlike the iPhone XR, whose camera review I posted a couple of days back, OnePlus 6T

can take portrait images of objects with the native camera app.

And just like with human subjects, it is good at accurately detecting the edges, and blurring

rest of the background.

Now as we move to artificial or lower lighting conditions, you still end up with usable images.

I haven't compared these images with any flagship devices like the Pixel 3 or iPhone

XS Max yet.

So right now, I cant really say how it compares to those cameras.

There is however some luminance noise in its low light images, even while shooting in night

mode.

Plus with the night mode you have to hold the camera very stable for a few seconds,

so the chances of ending up with a blurred image are increased.

Here are couple of examples with and without the Night mode turned on.

This mode really makes a difference, but it is not as impressive as the Night Sight mode

on the Pixel 3.

I think that 6T's camera deliberately underexposes a low light image, so when you take the same

image in night mode, the difference is very dramatic.

Here is an image without the night mode on the OnePlus 6T, and the same image without

the smart HDR, or any other assistance on the iPhone XR.

XR's image shows the actual light available at the time of shooting this image.

So I would say, trust the night mode on the OnePlus 6T, with a grain of salt.

While trying to take portrait images in lower light, you can get good results with the background

nicely blurred out, but the subject that you are trying to capture is not perfectly sharp,

and for some reason there is lot of noise in certain parts of these images.

Even with optical image stabilisation and wide F/1.7 aperture, 6T just like the 6 and

5T before that, tends to increase the ISO to make the images brighter, which results

in more noise, and sometimes blurry images.

The 16 megapixel front facing camera, delivers sharp selfies.

There is a bit of noise reduction, but I don't mind it in my selfies.

Images are detailed and show good dynamic range overall.

While capturing portrait selfies, 6T It is better than the OnePlus 6 at isolating the

subject from the background.

It is still not perfect, and struggles a bit around the hair or if the background is too

busy.

But I am sure, OnePlus is working on this issue and will be improving this mode with

future software updates.

Here is a video from the front facing camera of the OnePlus 6T.

I am standing in shade right now, and to show you guys, how it handles the change in exposure

and colours, I am going to walk into bright sunlight.

And while I walk, you can also check how it handles the overall stabilisation of the video.

You can shoot videos in upto 4k resolution at 60fps.

And as I mentioned earlier in the video, the primary camera uses OIS only while shooting

videos at 60fps.

When recording at 30fps, videos are stabilised via electronic stabilisation.

4K videos show much more saturated and artificial looking colours, while the colours are very

natural while capturing 1080p footage.

You can capture a minute long 720p video in 480fps, and choose the part that you want

to slow down later on.

Its good to have a higher frame rate videos, but I prefer better quality videos, So I like

1080p videos that you can shoot in 240fps, and the 60fps 4k videos.

To conclude, in daylight, it takes really good images, shows accurate colours, images

appear sharper than I would like them to be, and for the most part, I am happy with the

dynamic range it offers with the HDR mode.

Portrait images are good and improved, but like with every other smartphone, there is

scope for improvement with future software updates.

Low light images might not be the sharpest or the best, in comparison to a few of the

other flagship smartphones.

Night mode while being is good addition is not up to the mark, when compared to similar

features offered by Huawei or Google.

Video capture and stabilisation is good, but I will like to see, OIS and EIS works together,

to stabilise the videos in all frame rates.

You can shoot 4K 60fps, and 720p 480fps videos, which even Pixel 3 does not offer, so thats

a plus point for the 6T.

If you are using the OnePlus 5 or an older device, then you can upgrade to the OnePlus

6T, for its camera performance alone.

And you also get other things like bigger display, smaller notch, in display fingerprint

sensor, more RAM, faster internals and so on.

But if you are using a 5T or the 6, I would suggest you to wait for the next OnePlus smartphone,

since the 6T barely brings any changes, specially in the camera department.

I would even say that if you are looking to get a OnePlus smartphone, get a OnePlus 6,

if its still available in your country.

You will get the same camera performance, a much faster fingerprint sensor and same

internals at a lower price point.

I am already working on comparing this camera with the some of the flagship devices, but

if you want to see it compared with a specific smartphone, you can let me know, and I'll

try to make that video for you guys.

By the way, if you don't agree with my analysis or my views about these image and video samples,

you can always go back, mute the video, watch it in the highest resolution that your device

supports, and draw your own conclusions that way.

What are your thoughts about the cameras on this OnePlus 6T?

Let me know in the comments.

That is it for this video guys.

Please hit the like button if you enjoyed this video, and subscribe to the channel for

more quality tech videos like this.

You can also check out some of the other videos on this channel.

This has been Sagar, and I'll catch you guys in the next video.

Take care.

Dick Cavett Recounts the Time a Guest Died on His Show - Duration: 4:41.

-Another thing you and I have in common

other than the job we chose to pursue is,

presidents don't always like us.

You were --

-Well, yeah. -President Nixon was not a fan.

-Not my biggest fan -- or his biggest fan, no.

-And how did you find out that he was not a fan of you?

-Well, at first, I was persona grata at the White House,

when he was first elected.

But then things developed badly.

[ Laughter ] But before they got too bad,

I was in a reception line at the White House,

and there you find yourself facing him.

That -- -Sure.

-Breaking -- Breaking face, and I wrote about this.

And I said, "The thing that's strange facing Nixon

is his nose..."

[ Laughter ]

"...and its appalling width."

[ Laughter ]

It's about like three fingers wide,

like the Herblock cartoons of Nixon.

-[ Chuckling ] Yeah.

-But he was a dazzling conversationalist.

It was almost like Oscar Wilde.

He said, "Who's doing your show tonight?"

I said...oh, "Joe Namath is sitting in for me."

"Hmm.

How are his knees?"

[ Laughter ] What am I going to say --

"Every time I caress them, they seem quite fine"?

[ Laughter ] I mean, I...

So I moved to Mrs. Nixon, who was a dream.

God, if she'd written a book, wouldn't that have been a...

-That would have been a book worth reading, sure.

-Yeah. She said, "I thought you might like this."

And I did.

But I also saw her sometimes later,

and it was not so cordial.

But if I needed a little laugh --

you know, in the day, we sometimes want a little laugh --

I go to YouTube, and I put "Nixon," "Cavett."

And up comes a still

of Nixon talking with his lickspittle H.R. Haldeman.

And the words are there, and these are from the tapes.

-These are the Nixon -- the secret Nixon tapes.

-Yeah. My favorite line is, "Cavett --

there must be something we can do to screw him."

[ Laughter ]

[ Applause ] -We've often talked about

sometimes you're doing shows like ours,

and you have a -- you have a tough guest,

maybe a guest that is not, you know,

giving you much or whatnot.

You -- And sometimes you'll say,

"Oh, you know, that guest died out there."

-Yeah. -You actually had --

-Oh, my God! -Yeah.

[ Laughter ] -Yeah.

-This -- This happened.

-Yeah, he's not making this up or fantasizing or drugs

or anything -- he's just... [ Laughter ]

I'm probably the only person in the world, as far as I know,

who had a talk show,

and a guest dropped dead during the taping.

-And, uh -- because people won't believe it,

but this is also true --

tell everybody what he was on your talk show to be.

-Well, who with the gods as we know them,

decide to have to die on a talk show --

a health expert?

[ Laughter ] He was.

He was J.I. Rodale -- he was a renowned health expert.

"Prevention" magazine, lots of health enterprises.

And he was a wonderful guest.

And then 12:30 came.

And I had Pete Hamill out next, the writer...

-"Newsday," right. -...the news guy.

And Mr. Rodale was down there.

And while Hamill was on the screen,

I said something, and it was interrupted by...

[ Snorting ]

And I thought, "That's a sound you don't want to hear

when you're supposedly entertaining your guests."

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-And I am told -- I hope it isn't true,

that I said, "Are we boring you, Mr. Rodale?"

[ Audience ohhs ] Because he was --

he had joined the silent majority.

[ Laughter ]

I didn't know it at first.

He sort of stiffened and... -Yeah.

-And the next thing I knew, I was --

And Pete Hamill, on camera, said,

"This looks bad. Trust me." -Yeah.

[ Laughter ] -It did not look good.

-Yeah. I think his instincts were pretty good.

-It didn't sound so great, either.

-Well, I think the most impressive thing about that

is that guests continued to keep coming on your show.

-[ Laughing ] Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-You did it for years more.

-Well, for -- for a few days, I was the only guest after.

-Yeah. And -- And we were so, so lucky

that you kept doing your show.

And I swear, no one was better at it.

And it's just been such an honor having you here.

Thank you so much, Dick.

-You're welcome. [ Cheers and applause ]

Dick Cavett Talks About His Friendship with Muhammad Ali - Duration: 3:45.

[ Cheers and applause ] -Hello!

-Who the hell do they think it is?

-I don't know, but they're very --

I think they know it's you,

and they are thrilled that you are here.

-Ah, yeah.

You know, I was gonna do my moonwalk as I came on.

-We were all hoping you were gonna do your moonwalk.

-Well, I've got these damn new shoes on.

-Yeah. -But you know how it works.

The illusion is created by the fact that your weight

is on the bent leg, which it never is in real life.

-Uh-huh. -So you start like this.

You bring this one back -- -Oh.

-And this one back, and this one...

[ Cheers and applause ]

-That was -- That was way better

than I thought it was gonna be.

-How do you get to people's heart?

[ Laughter ]

You know, at times,

I'm sorry I ever gave that to Michael Jackson.

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

He did great with it. He did great with it.

-He did all right with it. Yeah.

When I first saw him, he was --

You were not born -- The Jackson Five.

And he was this little kid with great showbiz pizzazz,

and so I knew Michael when he was black.

[ Laughter ]

-You know, you -- I was very lucky.

Right before I took this show, I got to meet you.

You gave me some of the advice that Jack Paar gave you.

Do you remember? -It shook me up.

I was about to do my first talk show,

and I'd worked on them as a writer, but I was scared.

And Jack called.

He said, "It's Jack." I didn't believe it.

"I got some advice for you, kid.

When you do this new show, don't do interviews."

[ Laughter ]

"What do I do, sing, read poetry, tap dance?"

He said, "No, no. Interviews."

You know, that's dry. That's cut and dry.

That's Q&A. That's Donald --

What's his name? Whoever it was.

Oh! And David Frost nodding off in front of his clipboard.

It's jet lag. "Don't do interviews.

Make it a conversation." -Yeah.

-And you have discovered that that is true.

-Oh, well, you are -- No one did it better than you.

[ Cheers and applause ]

And I want to ask,

you know, and I've told you before,

I've loved going back on YouTube,

watching you interview John and Yoko,

watching you interview Marlon Brando.

You interviewed Muhammad Ali.

Most frequent guest you've ever had on the show.

I think he was on your show 14 times.

-14. Boy, you know statistics.

-Yeah.

-He was on 14 times over the many years, of course.

And the fact is, we became very good friends in the real sense.

You know, of course, our backgrounds are similar.

[ Laughter ]

He really became my buddy.

And one time, he was shooting out in Montauk,

and I had a house there, and I said,

"Why don't you stay at my house tonight?"

And he said, "Oh, my mother would never believe

I stayed in Dick Cavett's house."

I said, "You'll just stay there tonight.

You'll like it. It's over the sea."

I put him in it.

I went to get his wife from the motel, I remember.

While I was gone, my wife in New York --

my late wife in New York, called,

and he heard the phone ring.

He picked it up, and he said, "Hello?"

And she said, "Darling?"

And he said, exact quote, "This ain't darling.

I'm the only three-time heavyweight champion

in the world, and I'm lying in your bed,

and I'm watching your TV."

[ Laughter ]

That should -- -That's pretty good.

-That should be in "Bartlett's Quotations."

-That should be in "Bartlett's Quotations."

Television Terminology | Consumer Reports - Duration: 3:45.

If you're thinking of buying a new TV,

there is so much terminology out there.

So we're going to try to explain what all that mind boggling

jargon means.

These days, if you buy a big screen TV,

it will most likely be a 4K set that includes, what's known as,

HDR capability.

And the type of TV will likely be an LCD or LED.

What do these terms actually mean?

Luckily for us, we have access to the Consumer Reports'

Television Test Lab, where TVs are meticulously

put through their paces.

Jim, wow.

What an incredible room just full of TV sets.

This is like my little dream come true.

Glad you were able to make it.

Welcome to my world.

So this is one of our TV test labs.

We have three in the building.

And this is where we put TVs through a battery of tests

to see which ones really stand out

and which ones aren't so great.

Think of your TV like a giant puzzle

made from millions of little colored dots called pixels.

The number and size of those pixels

helps make the images on your screen clearer.

And that brings us to our first term, 4K.

I mean one of the biggest marketing things

that you'll see are 4K TV.

It's all about resolution.

And what we mean by that, all of these TVs

have individual pixels.

And so with this TV, it's got 8 million of them

compared to $2 million on a regular HD set.

So the colors are richer, the images much more clearer.

When you're playing 4K content, that translates

into really super fine detail that you're

going to get with one of these TVs

that you won't get with a regular HD set.

Our next term is HDR, a relatively new feature

that can really enhance image quality.

Although during testing here it was

found that not all TVs are able to show off HDR

images to their full advantage.

Here are two images.

This demonstration gives an idea of how different

an HDR enhanced image looks compared to a non-HDR image.

Now we're going to talk about HDR.

And that's high dynamic range.

When we talk about dynamic range in music,

it's the difference between the loudest

and softest parts of a piece.

I just love those soft orchestra moments, and the loud ones.

When all those different instruments

are balanced together, a piece of music comes alive.

But when we talk about dynamic range in the television,

it's about the difference between the very darkest

and brightest images that the TV can reproduce.

So if 4k is about the number of pixels,

HDR is about better pixels.

What does LCD stand for?

Liquid crystal display.

The thing that's really good about LCD TVs

is this that they have very, very bright images.

And they do well in rooms that have a lot of brightness.

So if you can't control the lighting in the room,

an LCD may be a better choice.

And finally, O - L - E - D or OLED.

So OLED actually stands for organic, light-emitting diode.

So the great thing about OLED TVs

is that they can get really black.

The blacks are so rich and deep, that you can actually

see that, oh, there's a vampire creeping out

from the corner or someone's huddled there.

Who's that lurking in the shadows?

Count Jackular.

Thanks to Jim, I'm no longer in the dark about these TV terms.

Buying a new TV--

there's a lot to look for.

So make sure you educate yourself on all that TV jargon.

And we'll be here to answer your questions.

Don't change that channel.

There's more to come.

Hậu trường Trung Quốc Không Kiểm Duyệt | Trung Quốc Không Kiểm Duyệt - Duration: 8:49.

Hi and welcome to the China Uncensored studio.

I'm your host Chris Chappell.

As you may have heard, YouTube has been cracking down

on content deemed too controversial for advertisers.

Some people have been outright banned from the platform.

And many more have found themselves demonetised

and pushed to the back of the suggested videos list,

where even their subscribers have trouble finding them.

Channels that fall outside of YouTube's usual catalog of 30-minute vine compilation

cooking montages, Minecraft, Let's Plays

and creepy dark web pregnancy videos for children

have had a hard time surviving on the site.

Especially if Google thinks they might upset advertisers

who want to sell things

or who have products made cheaply in places like

oh I don't know China.

Yes, the Chinese Communist Party gets a bit touchy

when you call out their human rights abuses.

Since the Adpocalypse of 2016

China Uncensored has lost the lion's share of its ad revenue.

We were this close to losing everything

but then you stepped in.

More than a thousand of you joined the China Uncensored 50-cent army,

contributing to our show through the crowdfunding website Patreon.

You allowed us to keep our staff

and not end up on the street fighting rats for half-eaten chunks of dollar pizza.

You also helped us grow the show

and we've done amazing things that were only possible thanks to your support.

We've traveled to disputed waters in the South China Sea,

interviewed activists

pestered politicians,

appeared on national television,

given important talks at places where people give important talks,

covered freedom and democracy issues in Hong Kong,

And with all of you making phone calls,

together we helped rescue a friend's mother who was detained by Chinese police

for practicing Falun Gong.

And one of the police officers in the detention center

apparently told her they got a lot of calls demanding they let her go.

Well done my 50-cent army.

And all this we've done despite what any corporate behemoth thinks.

So on this episode,

we just like to express our gratitude

give you an exclusive peek behind the curtain of China Uncensored.

So we have an idea for an episode

and then either Chris, Matt, I will do the

initial research and write the first draft.

And the other two people will edit the script

and kind of we collaborate and contribute

until we are happy with it, what it looks like.

And then Chris will record the episode in the studio

and then Seamus will video edit and then we publish.

I'm the humor ninja.

And although I don't look like the kind of person who would be funny,

I punch up the script with jokes

and also a very important part of my job

is that I tell Chris when he's funny

and I tell Matt when he's not funny,

which is constantly.

I actually don't work only on China Uncensored,

I have another full-time job

because you know, making fun of the Chinese Communist Party on the Internet

is not like a very lucrative career.

And right now China Uncensored can't support everybody who works on the show

Our writers room is actually mostly here.

I have literally texted more than once

if the FBI is looking at this, we're just kidding.

I actually really love traveling for the show

and I think that's something that we've been able to do more

thanks to the Patreon support.

I mean I would never really have had experiences

like you know, spending three days on a Filipino fishing boat

in the middle of the South China Sea.

Or going to Hong Kong and

covering something like the Umbrella Movement,

which was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

like it's just always an adventure.

I'm the producer so it's my job to

make sure everything actually gets done on time.

And I organize things, I review every single script

I review every single video

and make sure that we really produce the best possible quality

or the best quality that we have time for.

The most difficult part of this job

I think is planning for the trips that we take.

There's just a million little things

that all have to be wrapped together, done in just the right order.

And frankly Chris and Shelley aren't making this any easier.

Every month about 80% of our budget comes from Patreon support.

And about 20% from Google advertising on YouTube.

Now used to be the other way around

but since the Adpocalypse

it's become extremely difficult to fund anything

through YouTube ad revenu.

And our videos are getting constantly demonetised.

Every month we get about 15 to 18 thousand dollars through Patreon.

And I know that sounds like a lot.

But considering that we have four staff

plus we have expenses

we have rent for the studio,

we've got a hiring cameraman,

we've got buying different assets.

There's a whole lot of things that we need to do.

We also pay for training classes that Chris takes,

you got airfare, hotels.

So all in all you know it's pretty difficult for Chris to even payback of student loan debt.

You know these things take a lot of time

and they take money and they take resources and energy.

But you know we want to do something really awesome for you guys.

Post-production is a huge part of China Uncensored

Since there's just so many elements that go into an episode.

Footage needs to be organized and cut together.

Normally an episode would only take up a couple gigabytes,

nothing crazy.

Let's take a look at the episode they shot in DC,

shouldn't be too... oh this could take a while.

Flash cut, okay with that grueling mess out of the way.

Let's take a look at some of the assets that go into an episode.

Even our shorter videos will have a pretty substantial list

of sounds and visuals articles, titles, transitions, music effects,

footage of Chris

And whatever these are.

Some of these things we have on file but a lot of it has to be made.

Things like a map showing some disputed region

that all the involved parties will send you angry comments over.

Or Chris's face grafted onto Putin's body on a horse for Chris's own personal use.

Yeah sure.

But some edits are a lot more labor-intensive.

For example this Schoolhouse Rock parody.

With such a tight schedule for releasing three to four episodes per week,

we can't design and animate something like this

in addition to everything else we're doing.

And that's where you come in.

Because of your Patreon support we were able

to pay an animator to put this little number together.

So thank you.

Because of you I didn't have to sleep in the handicap stall at the office

while trying to meet someone saying deadline.

So now you've seen what goes into making an episode of China Uncensored.

And how your Patreon support helps each step of the process.

You give us the freedom to cover the real news.

Regardless of how corporate giants feel about it.

You give us the budget to travel around the world

and share the stories of people standing up against the Chinese Communist Party.

And you give us the ability to explain complex Chinese legal issues

through a nostalgic schoolhouse rocks poof.

Okay yes we are weird.

But we are all weird together.

And you are a big part of we.

I mean us.

You helped us save the show,

you stood up when YouTube might have shut us down.

And you still helped us keep the show going and growing

One of the biggest tech companies in the world couldn't stop you

and that's pretty incredible.

Now is an important time for us at China Uncensored.

The world is finally starting to realize

the truth about the Chinese Communist Party.

But there's still a long way to go.

So if you haven't done it yet.

Go to patreon.com and continue to fight with us.

Or, if you are already supporting us on Patreon,

even an extra 50 cents or dollar can make a difference.

I'm Chris Chappell,

thank you for supporting China Uncensored

together you and we make us us... or something.
