So the Google Pixel 3 XL is leaking from everywhere.
We have tons of pictures of the device, we have an unboxing video, an extended hands-on
video I mean we know almost everything there's to know about the handset and still we're
almost 2 months away from the launch event.
Isn't this strange that a device who's launch is still months away is leaking like crazy,
which makes a lot of people ask are all these leaks intentional?.
If you ask me, I believe they are.
Google knows the notch is gonna bother people and they're leaking this device on purpose
to make people get used to this thing.
Most of the people buy the Pixel phones not for the hardware or design but for the software
that it offers and for its camera.
So it doesn't really bother Google if people already know how it's gonna look like.
I mean similar thing happened with OnePlus 6 as well.
After seeing the initial leaks, people used to comment that they absolutely hate the notch
and are never gonna buy it.
But as we got more and more leaks of the device, people slowly started getting used to the
notch and then started commenting that, "You know what, it doesn't look that bad" and finally
went on and purchased the device anyway.
I feel Google is using the same approach.
And I'm sure it's going to work.
People who're hating the Pixel 3 XL now for its notch, will defend the device when it
finally launches saying it's not a big deal, you can hide it or it doesn't bother them
and what not.
Anyway, the person who's leaking all the Pixel 3 XL stuff made a video and said he doesn't
really understand why he got the phone.
He received it from an anonymous person who contacted him on Telegram.
He posted pictures he received from that person not expecting this thing go deeper.
He is not going to do a review out of respect for the people who worked on the phone.
he doesn't want to spoil the surprise or take away from the efforts of the pixel team.
Also said he Has had requests from XDA and tech sites and isn't giving them anything
either.
With that being said, I still think the notch on the 3 XL is stupid.
It is less a notch and more a bathtub.
There's a bathtub on your screen.
After seeing the Note9 and even the OnePlus 6, the Pixel 3XL is looking very disappointing.
I want to root for Google because there is so much potential in them changing the landscape
of the smartphone industry with design, and utilizing their own Operating system, but
I honestly can't say the 3XL looks attractive this time.
I wish as much as anyone that this isn't the real phone but I feel like if Google was working
on the "real" 3XL it would have been leaked at least a little since it's hard to keep
any secrets on the tech industry today.
