We Shouldn't Ignore the Little Things - Duration: 3:36.

Hey, this is the Daily Overpass. My name is Eric and I make apps.

Now today let's talk about, how we shouldn't ignore the little things.

Okay, so today as you could tell I am out shopping.

I'm at the Brunel Centre in Swindon which is about half an hour from the office.

I needed to get a new suit so I had to go out and do a little bit of clothes shopping new suit here

which I'm sure you'll see in some future video.

See I had a client meeting last week and I realized that I had two suits

that I usually use, one of them has gone threadbare. I've had it so long

I'm just yeah that it just it looks ridiculous and then the other one I've

lost a little bit of weight and it just hangs off me so it was one of these

things there's actually been quite a while I know I need a new suit so I'll

come out and get one right. See the thing is, from a logical point of view wearing

a suit to go visit a client it shouldn't really make a difference because that

has nothing to do with the technology or the type of work you can do but it's one

of these things that makes a first impression and to you just have

to do it you think it shouldn't matter but it does. It's the same as the audio

quality on videos, you think it shouldn't really matter it's more about

the contents but about what we talk about but you know if the audio quality

is bad we hear about it it's really hard to focus on anything else or

I have one video last year where I said, "You know" too often and that's

probably the biggest comment people complain about that.

Which makes total sense so these little things that is so easy to ignore and they ruin

everything else. The same thing is the icon, you think that the icon

should have make that big a difference on downloading your app or a lot of

developers because we are in the code, we don't think about the design so much we think

this shouldn't make that big a difference because it's more

the functionality but it does make a difference these little things

that if you get them wrong and the thing is when your a software developer you see

for me I think wearing a suit to meet a new client that shouldn't

really be necessary. I should build or jeans and a t-shirt and all this guys

unpack and make me look like a hip young trendy app developer but it does

make a difference I noticed that every single time the way that I'm received in

these kind of meetings the way that the meetings go and everything like that so

just something I wanted to cover a little bit today you know take you guys

out and bought a little bit you know rather than just be into the office so

let me know what you guys think what kind of little things do you think are

often ignored which shouldn't be because they make a

bigger impact than you then you think like font. Font is another one in and out

there's nothing worse and I've talked about this before then releasing an app

to a client and you're like it's like it's all there and then they go I don't

know if I like that font right they focus on that one little thing you think

cuz you got that one little bit wrong you know so it's you know it's one of

Then you would basically validate search engine results. So for example, you might be given

a page maybe from Google or from another search engine and it might look like

So that's the kind of work. It's very simple. There are no special skills required and

so that's the good thing about it and

Now I want to show you what kind of jobs are actually available that happen. I know that a lot of the

Let's check. What kind of jobs are available in India?

United States, there are a few different locations there. You can choose for United States. I

I've done a lot of searching kind of getting ready for this video basically for Australia the same thing

You know, if you look at Australia and you choose the Australian locations, there are lots of jobs here actually

113 that are available for those who are based in Australia

So pretty much no matter which country in the world you are you know

I've checked Philippines and so on I won't bore you with the details now, but there are lots and lots of

That you can do from home that pay really well

Now another thing that I want to show you is some of you may have heard of a company called leap force

so apon has actually just acquired leap force slip force was another similar agency that used to

offer work from home opportunities and

You know others to to be search engine evaluators, etc, etc

So leap force was actually accredited or is accredited by Better Business Bureau

Okay, so they've been accredited since 2011. So for seven years now, they have a BBB rating

so it's a trustworthy company and

You know you can have certainty that this is a legitimate company

It's not a company that will rip you off or anything like that both leap force and open and now that they've actually merged

Probably the leading company in the world for work from home jobs

They offer some of the best opportunities and the pay is really really good for people

located in various parts of the world

So as you can see, you know, this is definitely worth actually going through and applying if you're looking for work from home

types of opportunities

So how do you actually apply and get accepted into happen so you would need to

From the home page you would need to

Click on this button called find flexible jobs that will open up the job search

Then you will need to go and choose your job location

So whichever country in the world you are and like I said

there are tons of jobs available in pretty much any country in the world and

Let's just say that you are located in

United States or let's go with United Kingdom. We haven't looked at United Kingdom yet. Ok, so there are seven jobs available United Kingdom and

Probably the simplest and easiest one would be web search evaluate time

So you would do that

then read the requirements and click apply and you will be then asked to create an account that happen and

You know

You can then fill out all of your information and apply to be a part of their pin team

now another question that I always get asked with these kind of videos is how much money can actually

So let's just talk about this. Okay?

so as we know

Based on this for a post. It's between $7 and 1450 per hour

So let's just write that down. Okay, so seven to

fourteen fifty per hour now

I have also done research on various places and basically the kind of work that you are able to get is

Ranges, you know, it's somewhere between four to eight hours a day

That you may be able to get

If you're successful one of these positions with a pen, so it's between four hours to eight hours

Good day and

You know if we calculate how much that might actually translate so if you do seven times

Four so that's kind of the worst case scenario, you know

if you like into the country that pays a little bit less and you do only four hours you can still

make something like

close to while it's 28, but let's just rounded to 30 dollars per day and

If you are located in one of the countries that's got a higher cost of Ling and pays a little bit more

So 1450 per hour

and you

Do end up making something like eight hours in a day then you're looking at

you know call it 15 times 8 so that's basically approximately

120 USD per day that you've got potential of making so

Whichever one it is, you know anywhere from 30 to 120 dollars a day

I mean, I think this is excellent for a simple kind of an opportunity for a legitimate opportunity for you to work from home. So

Top 5 Music Video Editing Effects YOU Can Make EASILY - Duration: 7:01.

hey it's George here to empower your inner video creator so when you just saw

is a clip from a music video for my track called Eastern tides and this

video I'm going to teach you how to recreate all these popular music video

effects I'm gonna use filmora but the techniques and tricks can be applied to

pretty much any software let's go the first effect you'll notice is the

intense color shift you might have seen this in videos by Mac Miller or Janelle

Monae alright so the color shift effect can be made in different ways but the

way we did it in this video is by using blending modes and a cool like slow

motion video texture so we're gonna need to do is put that video texture

underneath the main video track and we're gonna actually have to go into the

compositing tab here and choose a blending mode and the one that actually

inverts the colors the coolest is either the exclusion or the difference blending

mode so let's use the exclusion one for this example and you can see pretty much

right away that it adds that crazy color shift

there you go and so that that smoke or that paint that's coming in is actually

part of the video texture layer and if you guys don't have any layers like that

you can actually download the one that we use in this video by clicking a link

in the description box below another way to do color shifting filmora is by using

the filters there's tons of cool colorful filters you know some of my

favorites include the hue shift and see pretty much right away that adds like

its own kind of color shift and then another one I like is the rainbow filter

and you can combine filters in film or you don't have to just there's one so

there you go the next effect is the base pumping effect which happens when the

screen bumps to the beat to get the base plumping effect in film or or any other

editor you're going to want to make cuts on the strongest parts of your beat this

is where you're gonna enhance it with that screen pumping effect so I already

made some cuts on the music track to help guide me along here so I made this

cut on the snare and I'm gonna do the same thing on my video track up here and

then press control B and that's gonna make a cut and then I'm gonna move over

just a little bit more and make another cut and so this part I cut out this is

the part that's gonna pump I'm gonna do that again a little bit after so you can

see kind of like more like a full bass pumping effect so I'm gonna do that at

this other part of the beat where it's enhanced I'm gonna cut that video clip

there and then cut it again shortly after so now I have two cuts then I'm

going to pump and to do that I'm gonna click the crop and zoom tool here and

then I'm gonna crop inwards for those clips let's check it out

so to do the flicker effect in filmora you're actually going to be using black

sample colors as the strobe like in-between your footage so I'm gonna put

the black sample color underneath my footage I'm gonna mute it just so I can

find the part where I want to actually do the flicker I'm gonna listen and for

the best effect I find like beats that are pretty consistent like consecutive

right after each other to be good spots for a flicker so like that part back bah

bah that's where I'm gonna do my flicker so in order to do that I have to unmute

this black color track I might actually have to make it like really small and

make a few copies of it and basically place them underneath the hits or like

wherever I want my strobe to happen and now I'm gonna find places for them there

you go you can find a really cool example of the flicker effect in okra by

Tyler the Creator distortion effects like the ones you saw are really easy to

add in filmora they're basically drag and drop effects

you can find in the filters so the ones we used in this video they include the

chromatic aberration which I'll show you right now I'm just gonna drag it on down

under my video track and you can see what it looks like

that's that's that one it's very popular in music videos and I'll show you one

other one that we used called the mirror effect and that does something pretty

cool to check it out so this final effect the flash effect it's not a

preset that's already found in filmora but it's one that you can get at our

effects store in the new york fashion set so i've loaded that in and i've

chosen the one called apfel this is really the flash effect filter and it's

just like the other distortion filters you just have to drag and drop that

filter underneath your track and you can see the flashing effect I'm just gonna

zoom in and make it a little bit shorter so and copy it maybe a couple times so

it's more evident check it out what's that one a great example using the flash

effect is from the song Milegi Milegi something by mika singh from the movie
