Youtube daily Aug 22 2018

I am Laura, I am 22 years old

and I'm training as a professional driver at Nord-Spedition.

I've got friends who are truck drivers

and I realised that this was something I would like to do for myself,

driving those large trucks

and being on the road

and having those experiences.

I am a bit crazy, I like fine-tuning my truck,

installing extra lights inside,

equipping the truck, storing things and stuff like that.

I am bit of a maniac in that respect.

But it's a lot of fun, driving as such is very enjoyable.

When you see the sun rising in the morning

or drive into the sunset in the evening, those are very special moments.

I enjoy taking on a challenge and mastering it.

And actually... there is no stress involved.

You go about the job the way you feel it's right for you.

We find that involving young people is a must for companies like us

and we can't wait for them to just come and drive for us.

We have to train them and show them the business.

It's a cool thing to do.

We have 150 drivers

but included in these 150 drivers, we have 3 women working for us

and we're very proud of them.

Nobody really expects women to do the job in a truck,

but they are really doing a good job,

and we want to attract more women to the job.

We would like to show people that the job differs very much

from the usual image of truck driving.

Our aim is

to crack down on its poor image and show people

that it is completely different from what they imagine.

I will be very proud when I pass the test.

Finishing the training will give me the greatest pride.

I'll be able to say, I'm a trained truck driver and can finally drive by myself.

It's simply a passion.

It's, how can I put it... it's a certain way of life

that you are living.

Volvo Trucks - The Volvo FH promise to the customers (Volvo FH 25 years) - Duration: 5:05.

Our products are still incredibly important,

but the presence of the company name - the brand - is vital

so the customers feel an unwavering faith in Volvo Trucks

and want to remain customers long-term.

Volvo is a premium brand,

and premium products on the market may cost more than competing brands.

So, we need to keep developing the platform created by the FH,

with respect to doing business, to customer care

and to new technology.

One interesting thing is the FH ethos

which runs from the first FH model made in 1993

to the current model from 2012.

We've stayed with certain fundamental characteristics of these trucks.

Performance, for example, is a key feature, as is driver comfort

and safety, which is something we would never risk compromising.

We were the first to have airbags.

Being there to witness that first full-scale crash test,

with a dummy and everything, and seeing it all work perfectly...

It was amazing!

Today, airbags appearing at the right moment doesn't impress people,

but we were actually pioneers at the time.

It was a huge vehicle with a totally different behaviour to a small car.

I have an optimistic view of the future.

Looking at innovative ability,

research shows that a company

which has traditionally been very innovative, as we have,

with everything from safety belts to Volvo Dynamic Steering and a lot more,

has an excellent base for future innovations.

And we will need to be innovative in the future, too,

in many different areas.

That scope must be created inhouse

and in co-operation with external parties.

In my current position, I still have to convince drivers to wear seatbelts.

Fancy something so simple being so hard!

It's a way to protect oneself. Of surviving.

You must never, ever compromise either quality or core values.

Balancing cost and time with core values...

Reaching that balance, that's the difficulty.

Haulage contractors today are under a lot of pressure from their customers,

and operate on tight margins with an element of uncertainty.

This means that trying new technology feels risky.

In view of that, we feel that our new LNG engines

present a way of minimising this risk.

This is something that can help them make a profit for years to come.

The main strengths of Volvo Trucks remain the same.

Our excellent products, naturally,

which need to look good and work well for the customer.

But the people we work with,

from our engine developers

to the people in the workshops who serve our customers...

That's our mega-strength.

When I travel around, meeting people...

I get the greatest energy boost from the people in this organisation.

I hope this company lives on in the same spirit in the future:

Leading developments in the field

and continuing to fill customers and employees with a sense of pride,

and showing that Volvo is the company that excels at transportation.

Smartphone Post-Processing Using Snapseed for Food Photography - Duration: 6:47.

hi this is Robin and today I am going to show you how I post-process my food

photographs using only a smartphone my favorite app to post process images is

Snapseed by Google I have here a list of photographs taken with my smartphone

currently I'm using the Motorola G5S Plus let's start with this image of a

green tea lime juice first I would like to rotate it to get into the right

orientation I think that's okay the problem with this image or normally

camera sometimes is that it doesn't get the color balance right so to correct

the color balance you can use the Warmth slider I will just slide it all the way

and as you can see the warmth actually created a more natural looking image

next I will add brightness I will lift up the shadow I'll boost the contrast and

finally I will increase the saturation because I like my food images to look

colorful that's done I would also like to crop the image a bit tighter alright

just to bring you right into the glass okay I think I'm happy with this so I

will just save it

next I will have mmm this granola bowl here now the issue with this image is

because the camera thinks that the image is very bright so it is slightly under

exposed so first I would like to boost the shadow area or increase the

brightness and I will use the ambience and ambience

actually boost the green color as you can see so everything looks a bit more

balanced and nice and the bowl looks slightly bluish again the camera doesn't

get the white balance right that's okay we can always compensate that a little

bit here by adding warmth not too much - oh you look very yellowish add a bit

more brightness contrast I will boost the highlights just a little bit and finally

saturation okay I think it looks okay I will crop the image tighter again as

usual and that's done I'll save this

moving on let's see what else we have a flat lay of a few plates of food all

right rotate this again to the right

orientation I think that's okay first I would like to crop so that I can just

focus on the area that I want to work on let's get a bit tighter here let's move

in the image has some imbalance of the bright and dark areas so I will work

with the shadow and highlight first where is the shadow of booster shadow

area I'll increase the brightness get the ambiance right then I will add

warmth again for that more natural looking image then I'll boost the

contrast saturation and maybe a bit of highlight I just process it now that's

before and that's after before

and after all right Safety's let's do one more quick one what else do we have

maybe maybe maybe maybe this vegetarian noodle bowl ah all right again I would

like to crop this to get a bit closer to the image it's a lot of negative space

around the edges let's just go right in okay I will add a bit of warmth to the

image looks quite okay so let's not add too much increase the brightness improve

the ambiance lift the shadow around a little bit

boost the highlight add contrast and finally a bit of saturation just to make

the red and the greens and the yellows pop a little bit more okay let's compare

before and after before after okay I think I'm done I hope that these quick

tips will help you to know how to do quick image processing and as you can

see the processing didn't destroy the details and the images still look

fantastic also always remember that the color

balance is very important the camera doesn't always get it right so by

adjusting the warmth you can actually improve the color balance sometimes your

image has uneven bright and dark areas especially when you have lighting coming

from the side so by actually adjusting the shadow and highlights separately and

also using the ambiance slider you can actually have a more evenly toned

image and finally if you have an image with a

lot of rich colors like this the greens the yellow and the red always boosts the

contrast and saturation so that the image will have that punch and that pop

all right that's all guys I hope that you have enjoyed this short video and

you have found some useful tips until next time bye-bye

Customer Insists You Use Their Cleaning Supplies - Duration: 7:58.

How do you deal with customers who want you to use their cleaning products

or their multi-level marketing cleaning products instead of your own?

That is a great question, and we're going to talk about that today.

Hi there.

I'm Angela Brown, and this is Ask a House Cleaner.

This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question,

and I get to help you find an answer.

Now, today's show is brought to us by MyCleaningConnection.com

where we have a whole host of resources, of different products and cleaning supplies

and cleaning chemicals, and we have a bunch of resources that will help you

if you're a do-it-yourselfer.

Or if you're a professional house cleaner,

so check out the resources at MyCleaningConnection.com

All right, on to today's show, which is from a house cleaner who has this question.

"How do I handle clients who insist that I use their homemade products

or an MLM cleaning product that just isn't as effective as my regular ones?

I have to spend a lot more time when I use those products, and time is money."

Angela Brown: All right, this is a house cleaner frequently-asked question.

It comes up all the time.

How do I deal with a customer who wants me to use their product instead?

All right, so here's the thing.

If you hired a professional landscaper to come over and mow your yard and when he got

to your house, you said, "Wait, before you mow my yard, I don't want you to be ... use

that big riding lawn mower that you guys stand behind and ride along because it's too noisy.

I want you to use my little push mower because it's quieter,

and I got a kid in the house sleeping.

Can you do that?" it's ludicrous, right?

They have a system of the way that they do things, and the reason they use their equipment

that they do is because it's proven and it's tried and they know exactly

how it's going to operate.

They don't use your little hand mower on a regular basis.

They don't know how it operates and, even though they do that for a living, it's a different

product, and so they're not going to be able to do the job in the same amount of time and

they're not going to be efficient.

Now, if you were paying your landscaper by the hour, you might think twice about him

using your little push mower versus the great big ride-behind-the-mower that he has, right?

The two or three people that come with him, and they have the earbuds on and they have

blowers and the edgers and all that stuff, they have equipment that they use because

they do this all day every day.

They have it down to a science.

They have it down to a system.

Before they get to your house, they know who is going to be edging the yard, who is going

to be doing the blowing, who is going to be doing the aerating and all those things.

They have that all figured out.

It's the same when a house cleaner comes to your house, so for you to show up and say,

"Well, listen, I found this amazing product that my friend recommended to me, and they're

selling this online, and they would like, you know, for me to purchase it every month

or something, so can you use this cleaning product?" for the most part, guess what, the

cleaning products that you're going to find in a multilevel marketing company,

they're fantastic products.

For the most part, they're really, really great.

Most multilevel marketing companies are members of the Direct Selling Association and they

have to go through so many trial-and-errors and tests and vetting and all this stuff in

order to be a part of the Direct Selling Association

and to have their products on a national or international scale.

So most of the products are really good products, quite frankly, but

if you have not been trained in them, then they're not going to work the same for you,

and it's going to cost a whole lot more money for those products because everybody that's

involved in the process along the way makes a little bit of money, so those products are

marked up really high.

Now, my suggestion for you is this.

If there's a customer that insists on you using a product for whatever reason, I would

try to find out from the customer why.

Why are you insisting that you hire me as the professional and I'm showing up as the

expert, and then you have new cleaning supplies that I have not been trained in?

Why is that?

If it's for them to have you sell their products to their other customers and then you become

a distributor and all these things, that's just a sales tactic.

Okay?

That has nothing to do with the cleaning itself.

What you might recommend is, "Hey, when I come, I will do things my way and then, when

I leave, you can maintain everything with the products that you think are so fantastic.

Is that fair?"

Most of them will say yes.

That's like if you had a lawn mowing company come once a month and, when they came, they

used their equipment and then, on the other three weeks, if you mowed your yard yourself

with your own little hand mower, right?

There are ways around that.

Now, there are some products on the market.

I don't want to say that they're inferior, but they don't work as advertised.

And so that's really key to know, and so, in our private Facebook group, and if you're not

a member and you're a professional house cleaner, meaning, you exchange money for house cleaning,

and you are a pro and you're expanding your business and you're learning and all these

things, come to our group and ask people, "Hey, has anybody had a chance using this

product?" because there are products that come up all the time.

"Hey, there's this great new product."

They're like, "No, they have a fancy advertisement, but the product is just crap," and people

will tell you that use it every day because, as house cleaners, we get to be inside people's

homes and we get to try a lot of stuff, and a lot of stuff is just fancy advertising.

Now, there are some stuff on the market, products that, when you try them, you're like, "Oh,

my goodness, this is amazing," and then those also make their way back to the group where

people are like, "Hey, have you checked this out?" and then they get really excited about

it and everybody goes out and they run out and they buy versions of it at their local

supermarket or online or wherever it is, and then they try it out, and they take before

and after pictures, and they post their stories and all these things.

If a customer is insistent on you using their product, first and foremost, find out why.

What is the real motivation behind this?

Is it because you think that the wood furniture that you have can only be treated with this

particular chemical?

If that's the case, maybe they know something about the wood furniture that you don't know,

and so I would hear them out.

I'd say, "Please share with me what it is," and if it's a valid offer, you could certainly

give it a try.

Now, if it's a product that you're unfamiliar with and they insist that you use it and you

want to give it a try, then my suggestion is that you sign some kind of a waiver or

have a disclaimer that, now, I'm using products, and I am not trained on your products, and

so if something malfunctions and it leaves spots or it leaves stains or it removes some

of the varnish or ... I mean, I've heard horror stories over the years.

If it does any of these things, then I'm not responsible and my insurance doesn't kick

in and buy you a new sofa, because there are people who will insist that you use a particular

cleaning chemical with the intention of suing you for, I don't know, money or whatever.

There are some people out there that do things like this, but if they sign a waiver that

says they are fully responsible, that takes that option off the table, so, yes, you can,

you can try new things, and as an ever growing, ever learning house cleaner, I've loved trying

new products especially if it's not at my expense.

The worst thing is, if I got to out and buy 30 new bottles of something, to try them all out.

If a customer has something and they're like, "Hey, try this out," that might be my new

favorite thing.

There was a lady that turned me on to SprayWay.

It's a glass cleaner.

It's just foam, and there are a lot of opportunities to use that when it makes more sense than

using a regular spray, and as soon as I saw it, I was like, "Where have I been?

This is amazing," right?

There are customers that have some really great things that they will introduce you

to and, as a house cleaner, you get to try them out, so just be smart about the opportunities

and make sure that you cover your bases so that you don't have a lawsuit waiting around

the next corner.

That's my two cents for today.

Alrighty, until we meet again, leave the world a cleaner place than when you found it.

Catnip grass: what effect does it have? - Duration: 6:04.

MiciGatti and MiceGatte! this time I thought having to call the police!

I found Oscar with this sack of grass ... I never expected it to be

he!

hello MIciGatti and MiceGatte! what's there do I do with this sack of grass? or better

what was my cat doing? in this looting there are leaves and flowers

dried and real cat grass, that is the nepeta cataria, a plant similar to the

mint that is able to issue one substance nepetalactone, very similar

to feline pheromones. pheromones in the cat they are special smells that we humans

we can not perceive, but that the cat he perceives very well, through a

particular organ that is in the palate of the cat, which is called nasal vomitor organ,

jacobson's organ. you know when your cat

smell something and then stop with the typical grimace with an open mouth?

that grimace is called flehmen and in that moment our cat is using

just the nasal vomiting organ for analyze the smells it is perceiving

and understand the information that those smells give it. pheromones serve to

cat to give warning signs. signs of friendship and sexual signals e

the cat also deposits them on us, for example when he rubs his nose up

of us or on our legs. pheromones are emitted

from the cat through details glands which are located at the sides of the

snout, at the base of the tail, under the paws and also the cat pee contains

of the particular pheromones that they serve to communicate with other cats, providing

a lot of information such as that that particular territory is of

property of that cat, when that cat has passed from there, as well as a real one

and own identity card of the cats that he issued those pheromones. pheromones

they have also been synthesized chemically for example in the famous

Feliway, a product on the market that it also serves to calm the cat

for example, when moving, or when you transport it by car and it is

available in environment diffusers, or in spray. We will speak extensively

of pheromones in another video here on the miciogatto channel, let's get back to ours

cat grass! as we said this nepeta cataria produces a substance that is a lot

similar to feline pheromones and for this i cats have some reactions a bit

crazy: they're attracted to this grass, sbava rubs become a little

in short. Valerian too has this same effect, I do not know if you ever have

noticed when you make a herbal tea with one sachet that also contains valerian i

your cats a little bit, my ad example you would like to eat the

sachet of paper. But these herbs do bad to the cat?

absolutely no, the hard effect type 15 minutes, after which for a couple of hours

the cat will be totally indifferent. the cat grass is not bad at all

in fact, we can come back to our cat useful to make it familiar to

example with games or with the scratches and with the carrier, enough

build games with inside some cat grass, or distribute it

inside a doghouse or inside of the carriage and cat will be immediately

attracted in a positive way.

I found this bag on amazon of dried catapult nepeta with which I have

tried to make games and see how my cats interact. See the

Lady is practically stoned! of course I'm joking, this herb does not have

absolutely no side effects that can have a drug, as I told you

then the effect passes, it has no effect collateral, but it is incredible to see

the effect this herb has on cats: they literally drooled on the bag.

The effect is greater on small kittens, But I must say that mine too

reacted a lot. I put you under the video in description

the link to buy this bag of cat grass on Amazon,

also because there are various types, ne I selected and in the end I chose

this. Actually what we call catnip grass or catnip can be of

different type: we have the nepeta cataria, we have the

valerian, we have the dactyl glomerata and many other species.

We know that cats, but also dogs for example they use grass to eat

clean the stomach, especially cats they do it to free themselves from hairballs.

grass in fact besides being a source of fibers for the cat just helps him to

induce vomiting and if you see that the your cat eats grass means

that needs to get rid of the stomach. Obviously if you see your cat

keep eating grass and continue to to throw up

Ask your veterinarian why there may be something wrong.

The normality is that the cat every now and then eat grass and occasionally vomit. The grass

this is not to be given to the cat to eat It is not dried, but you can buy it or in

trays already grown, or you can plant, you can buy seeds and

you can plant, I always do this, buy the seeds

that cries in a vase that leaves in terrace for my cats,

the grass in 4-5 days grows and can be given just to feed the cats. But

now I'm curious to know yours experiences with cat grass, have you ever

purchased of the catnip? what reactions did they have your cats? or

tell me what reactions they have with them sachets of herbal tea ... and the grass to eat it

do they appreciate or not? write me yours experience below in the comments

and I recommend you subscribe to the channel miciogatto youtube to see many

many interesting videos on health the well-being of cats. For this video it is

all now I leave you that I go to smoke ... er to do house cleaning, a big one

kiss hello MiciGatti and MiceGatte!
